Barian Warlord
I actually don't see the Bargamon and Lucimon thing, Lucimon is unique in that all his digivolutions are just higher modes of his first form, I think Bargamon could be the mega version of DarkKnightmon where Craniumon is a different path he could take. Hydra of Ages
I've always kinda assumed that if a Digimon keeps its name but changes in Level, it's not actually digivolving; its just redefining itself to fit the new information. For example, Lucemon isn't actually digivolving to Perfect and Mega, he's just releasing more of his power until he becomes a Perfect, and then Mega equivalent. //Zeromaru//
That's a mode change. And it's why his higher levels are called "Lucemon Whatever Mode".
The Warden
That would be a feasible theory Hydra, if not for Akadimon.
Merci
We can view Arkadimon as a seperate kind of Digimon following a custom code. It is incapable of Digivolution, but instead absorbs the powers of others to make itself more powerful, thus it changes form when its current form is overloaded with data, thus the massive power increase when its form changes, which can be counted as 'Digivolution' but isn't the normal kind, meaning it doesn't change its name. The Warden
If you recall, the main basis of Digimon was that the strong defeat the weak, absorb their data and digivolve right? Arkadimon speeds up the process with a BS absorbtion mechanic.
Merci
But that only furthers my own theory. Arkadimon is incapable of Digivolution, but instead it goes through something called 'forced evolution' since the massive data really just DEMANDS it to change form, forces it to change form to adapt to the higher level of data. A genius code.
The Warden
It is capable of Digivolution, albeit a (possibly) human enforced one, because it achieved it's super ultimate stage by use of the digimental. But really, becomming oversaturated with data does cause digivolution, as I said, Arkadimon can absorb data from other digimon, fulfilling the requirement to evolve further. Any digimon with too much data would inevitibly digivolve.
//Zeromaru//
Perhaps they just called all of the levels by the same name, because that's the only name they know it has. Kind of like how Tai and Kari called that first Agumon Koromon up until it told them he was called Greymon. And because that's the only name given to any of the levels thats the name we merely assume they're all called that aswell. Plus Arkadimon's super powerful even fresh hatched, he just needs the extra data given through absorbing his enemies to allow digivolution to his next stages. The Warden
The name part is true, as Neo Saiba named it that because it would help to bring on his arcadia. Plus, his description states that his main purpose is to absorb the data of others and digivolve.
Blackstone Dresden
Yeah, I agree with Alfius, I always figured the reason Fresh -> Super Ultimate Arkadimon was still called Arkadimon was because Neo never got around/didn't care enough/wasn't creative enough to give him a new name every evolution. Plus, if I'm remembering correctly, Arkadimon wasn't exactly sentient or at the very least couldn't speak so he had no way of communicating just what in the Hell its name was after every evolution. Bandai probably kept his names as such because that's the way it was in the manga, or maybe Perfect/Ultimate Arkadimon is really Arkadimon and the others are going to be given new names when/if they show up in a different show. Hydra of Ages
Arkadimon's a weird digimon to say the least, so I wouldn't be surprised that it doesn't follow most rules as we know them. About it being a Mode Change... yeah, that's basically exactly what it is. The digimon's not actually adding anything to themselves, they're just changing their body to release their power in different ways.
The Warden
Any one been noticing a distinct lack of Big Bad lately?
Merci
You know what I've noticed? That EVERY SINGLE DIGIMON HAS RIDICULOUSLY EXAGGERATED STRENGTH IN THEIR BIOGRAPHIES. A lot of the Digimon portrayed as normal in anime and the manga as supposed 'guardians' or 'keepers of secrets' or 'hiding ultimate power that can destroy a lot' or just plain outright 'ULTIMATE POWER UNPARALLELED' in their biographies. Really, jeez. . .
The Warden
Most are just flavour texts, like on Vanilla cards, very few actually hold up; such as Lucemon and Arkadimon, both well proven in their ability.
Merci
Aha. . . but you forgot, Lucemon Chaos/Falldown Mode! It is said that his power rivals that of 'God'. . . but Bagramon was BANISHED by that same 'God'. . . . Uh, so that means Lucemon Chaos Mode is stronger than Bagramon?! The Warden
Lucemon as a rookie can obliterate mega level Digimon.
Merci
I know that, but Bagramon is portrayed as ultimately powerful and stuff. . . well. . . I guess he's weak after all.
Phantom Roxas
I had the impression that Bagramon's banishment was yet another reference to Yggdrasil. Did anyone else notice the "Z" on Targetmon's forehead? It looks a lot like Kiriha's "Z" symbol. If anyone has seen episode 45 yet, discuss Whispered. As for me, I shall await DarkKnightmon's glorious return in tomorrow's episode.
Merci
I was catching up on the Digimon Xros Wars episodes when I was suddenly told that my 72 hours were up, in the middle of the battle with Gravimon in Episode 42. Ow.
~ Dākunaitomon ~
Well you do forget In the manga Arkadimon did '"digivolve" with the use of a digimental.. Then daemon stuck his face out his mouth and it got all confusing. The Japanese have a remarkable censoring program I think they have a mentality that it's better to subject kids to this stuff now then later. Besides they say damn all the time in anime give me one anime they don't say damn in. On an untwisted note how do you guys pronounce manga? Is it MAN-Ga or MANG-a?
Merci
It's MAN-Ga. If you pronounce it MANG-a, you're saying mango in Indonesian. OH AND GUYS! GUYS! GUYS! I JUST HAD A DREAM OF THE PREVIOUS OF THE SECOND-TO-LAST EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M NOT LYING! This is what I remember from my dream: Bagramon loads the data of all the Digimon in the Digital World, achieving divine power, and with that power he destroys Taiki's X Loader completely, along with all of Xros Heart inside of it! Refusing to give up, Taiki and OmegaShoutmon fight the unstoppable Bagramon! When OmegaShoutmon is on the brink of death, Taiki's heart awakens and he obtains a new golden X Loader. . .! Notes:1. Whether he creates an army using the data of all the Digimon or loads it himself I don't know.2. I don't know why Shoutmon was outside, but he was outside the X Loader, and already Chou Shinka'd when Bagramon crushed it.3. OmegaShoutmon was close to total deletion. Had he been deleted by Divine!Bagramon, that would have been it. Data lost forever.4. There is no mention of Kiriha or Nene. IDK why.5. No mention of DarkKnightmon or Yuu Amano either. Who knows? Maybe I saw the future! . . . or maybe it's just a dream product.
Barian Warlord
It sounds awesome, maybe Kiriha and Nene were fighting DarkKnightmon somewhere else.Though personally I doubt they'll have that happening but it would be awesome if they did. Merci
I just said that I only saw it in a dream. I'm not trying to suggest that this would actually happen.
The Warden
Many of my dreams are movie based, and very strangely centred around either gore or bad soap operas.
