Actually, the anime is flawed digivolution-wise. See, the Digidestined Digimon are attuned to their partner, so they can Digivolve on the fly. Thus the digivolution is forced and energy consuming, that is why they revert back to rookie or in-training. Natural digivolution takes longer and should say, two Agumon naturally digivolve, they could turn into Tyrannomon, Centarumon or Meramon. Further, natural Digivolution allows them to become fully used to their new bodies and thus, they won't revert back until they die.

I think Dorian is confusing Digimon with Pokemon.

I think Dorian is confusing Digimon with Pokemon.

Also, I'm planning a Digimon fanfic, and I've already planned all of Season 1.

[spoiler=WARNING SPOILERZ: Chapter Summaries of Digimon: Champions of the Digital World]

[spoiler=ZPOILERZ!]

Chapter 1: Enter Takara, Human Treasure Hunter!

Takara, after having lived in the Digital World for two years, is a treasure hunter and works with his friends, Lucemon and FanBeemon. However, they are captured by the Paildra Army and separated.

Chapter 2: In the Paildra Army Headquarters

Takara and his friends, after being deemed peaceful, are sent to Paildramon. There, he talks about how the war with the Rapid Army came to be, and how the Rapid Army have developed a super Digimon called Machinedramon. The Paildra Army are creating their own weapon to counter it called Kimeramon. Takara, FanBeemon, and Lucemon are horrified at the two ultimate weapons.

Chapter 3: Escape from the Headquarters

Takara and his friends discover that they are unallowed to leave, so Lucemon decides to create a plan which will allow them to escape. It seems to succeed, but they are discovered by a general of the Paildra Army, Zephyrmon, who is not about to let them escape. . .

Chapter 4: Digivolve, FanBeemon!

With Lucemon having taken a powerful attack, Takara and FanBeemon are on their own. They try to fend off the powerful Zephyrmon, but then a mysterious device appears in Takara's hand, which allows him to digivolve FanBeemon into Waspmon, who is able to fight Zephyrmon better, but they are still overwhelmed. However, when Zephyrmon goes in for the finishing blow, she is hit by a recovered Lucemon, and the combined forces of Lucemon and Waspmon prevail. The trio then escapes.

Chapter 5: The Gem of Ophanimon

After a few days, in an attempt to return to their old life, Takara, Lucemon, and FanBeemon decide to search for the fabled Gem of Ophanimon, which is located on top of a high montain. When they finally reach it, one of the mysterious golden rings on Lucemon's body breaks, prompting Takara to ask him about them. However, Lucemon tries to avoid the question.

Chapter 6: Captured Once Again

The next day, when Takara and his friends get down from the mountain again, before they could sell the obtained gem, they are captured once more, this time by the Rapid Army. Since there was knoweledge about them being in the Paildra Army for a while, they are imprisoned, but they aren't the only ones. Kazemon, the weaker form of Zephyrmon, is also imprisoned.

Chapter 7: Rapidmon, a Sudden Attack!

After confirmation that Takara and his friends had escaped the Paildra Army, Rapidmon, the leader of the Rapid Army, takes an interest in them and desires to meet them personally. However, when Takara and his friends meet Rapidmon, he attacks them for no reason with tremendous power and speed. After fending off a few attacks, Lucemon quickly figures out a strategy to fight him. When the combined efforts of Takara, Waspmon, and Lucemon finally let them land a hit on Rapidmon, he is impressed and confesses that he had done that to test their strength, and then explains about Project Infinity, the creation of Machinedramon.

Chapter 8: Digivolution

Since Takara and his friends wouldn't cooperate with Rapidmon's plans, they are sent back into prison. There, the former Zephyrmon decides to tell them how she was captured. She had been sent to fight off a wave of the Rapid Army, but was defeated and captured, and the injuries dedigivolved her into her weaker form, Kazemon. This then prompts Takara to ask about Digivolution.

Chapter 9: The Human - Part 1

Takara wakes up in the middle of a forest. Lost, he wonders around, and when he accidentally disturbs the ancient spirit of the forest, AncientKazemon, he is in serious trouble. However, to his rescue comes an angel called Lucemon who convinces AncientKazemon that Takara meant no harm, and then explains to him about the Digital World. However, Lucemon wants to use him for his own purpose, to find the Gem of Seraphimon.

Chapter 10: The Human - Part 2

Convinced by Lucemon, Takara accompanies him into the cave of hope. However, they are attacked by a swarm of crazed-out FanBeemon. Lucemon attempts to fight them, but they are too powerful. However, they are frightened when the ground shakes due to a tremor and fly away, leaving a single injured FanBeemon. A friendship is about to begin. . .

Chapter 11: Rapidmon, A Royal Knight?!

Lucemon creates another plan to escape, and Kazemon comes along. However, their path of escape is blocked by Rapidmon, who knew exactly what they were going to do. He then proceeds to explain about the Royal Knights, before revealing that he himself was once a Royal Knight, and a Treasure Hunter before then! He then easily defeats Takara and his friends and decides to use them in a test.

Chapter 12: Machinedramon, the Ultimate Weapon!

Takara and his friends are placed in a maze separately, and an incomplete Machinedramon is lurking somewhere there. Each has to find their way out separately while avoiding Machinedramon, but then Takara encounters him. Kazemon and Lucemon finds the exit, but both hear Takara's scream. Lucemon turns to rescue to Takara, leaving Kazemon on her own to make a choice. . .

Chapter 13: Lucemon Morningstar Mode!

No matter what Takara and his friends throw at Machinedramon, it won't stop its rampage. However, when Takara, Kazemon, and Waspmon are hit directly, a light comes from Takara's Digivice which digivolves Lucemon into his Champion form, whose power is extremely high. When Machinedramon is finally defeated, though, Lucemon turns back into his Rookie form, unconscious and drained of energy, as the form had taken its toll. Takara, with an unconscious Lucemon in his arms, Kazemon, and FanBeemon then quickly make their escape.

Chapter 14: The History of Kazemon

A week later, Lucemon has recovered and Kazemon has decided to stay as a treasure hunter. One night, Kazemon decides to share her story with the others.

Chapter 15: The Ultimate Treasure - Part 1

Lucemon, which listening around in a village, hears of 'the ultimate treasure' and tells it to Takara, FanBeemon, and Kazemon. He then explains that they should form a treasure-hunting team, and that they need a name and a leader. Lucemon becomes the leader due to him being a great strategist and always having the best information. And they name themselves 'Team Digital Champions', before setting off to find the ultimate treasure, located at the top of Mount Infinity. However, they aren't the only ones. . .

Chapter 16: The Ultimate Treasure - Part 2

Chapter 17: Secrets of the Digivice!

FanBeemon is near-useless, I tell you guys, but he's necessary because in Season 2, Lucemon goes all EVULZ. . . and did I mention Bagramon is his father? And Dynasmon is the father of Kazemon, and Silphymon a female and her mother? Oh and I also plan for a relationship between Takara and Kazemon in Season 2. . . huh.

Wait. . . you know, that just occurred to me. The fanfic was made when I read the info of Kimeramon and Machinedramon, and since Kimera's info had something about it being an organic counterpart to Machinedramon, I decided to use it. Millenniummon. . . never occurred to me. I can swear.

So what's your overall opinion?

Canon, I would only find it interesting if Lucemon was for once legitimately good, not a schemer who will obviously go evulz on us.

Also, Kimeramon being made for Machinedramon was too fulfil the requirements for Milleniummon. But it all depends, do you want my REALLY honest opinion?

Yes, yes, I do.

Also, I thought Kimeramon was made to counter Machinedramon, not to create Millenniummon. And Lucemon was a schemer at first, but then he had a change of heart when he met Takara, but then his memories with Takara were wiped, or corrupted, or something like that, by some evil guy.

But in the end, he digivolves from his Larva form into a Super Ultimate form of light when Takara brings a bit of light into his Digicore.

That would require a good deal of light, a heh heh heh, since the core of Larva Mode is pure darkness. Essentially, Takara or someone of pure light would have to sacrifice themselves to fill Larva's core with light.

Also, Kimeramon and Machinedramon are essentially the same project, create the ultimate Digimon, either biological or mechanical. Since Milleniummon exists in every facet of time, naturally he would want to ensure his own creation.

Okay now, my honest opinion? Boring as f**k. You set it up already to be way to linear in a sense, you've already established the exact idea and goals of the first sixteen or so eps, meaning now you are obligated to write it without being able to stray away from your established plot. FanBeemon is a somewhat decent choice, it's rarely used, casually tossed aside for the reptilian Digimon, but then, it HAS had it's few licks of the lollipop. But then adding Lucemon like that drops my expectations, because, well, it's f**king Lucemon. Because so few people work with him we always know he is inevitably going to go bad or power hungry in some mean or manner. Then there's Takara, practically the only human in the Digital World for two years, and no one has tried to use or kill him, at all. I find that hard to believe, especially if some say no one has heard of him. To quote Leomon 'you know us Digimon, we all love to gossip'. Now, the war between the Paildra army and the Rapid army. Oh Ploteo, where art thou? Let me count the flaws. Okay, I understand they're bitter rivals. But if the enemy is creating a super weapon, don't counter with another one. Where has that ever worked? I don't know frankly. The point is, who wastes the time and resources to craft another super weapon when it is easier to just sabotage theirs. Get an elite shock squad in, or use a saboteur and get rid of it.

In all, it seems bland, might get a few flicks of interest but it's nothing we haven't seen before.

I liked the ideas and as a skin and bones i thought it was good, but BH brought up some good points, maybe have Lucimon go on a path other than evil and maybe have the 2 leaders of the armies secretly be working together to make Millenniummon and the war somehow will help them to that end. Also have humans in the digital world but he found his digivise in someplace while treasure hunting and it activated then. You could have it so Lucimon and Millenniummon and in league but at the last second he decides he likes his friends more and sides with them.

Also with Digicross has DNA Digivolution finally been made obsolete, sorry I hated season 2 and that as well, I like the concept of armor but that show just made me hate way to much.

Trimage, that's not the biggest problem, because it's explained early in the story, but I'm just too lazy to summarize it.

But if you want to know, the Digimon are beginning to feel they need a kind of leadership, since they've been like wild animals for a while, so the Paildra and Rapid Armies quickly gained support from many but since they both are, they have to fight for leadership of the Digital World. Of course, the Rapid Army is the one that will win, since Paildramon, despite being a descendant of the founder of the Royal Knights, is an antagonist who wants to release the lock on the Dark Area.

Leadership over the world has never worked out. Lucemon was the first to do it after the Beast/Human Digimon war. He went crazy and was beaten by the Ancient Warriors. They died and left their spirits to the Celestial Trinity to rule. Where ocassionaly Cherubimon would go crazy as he is a beastial angel.

Unless of course we give the Digital World an honest to God government for once? It makes sense since the Digital World is, in most continuities (*cough*Xros Wars*cough*) based off of the data of the human world, so it's logical that at least one Digital World in the Digimon multiverse would have countries and politicians (Cue MagnaAngemon in a three piece suit), making a full scale war more plausible, and could lead to interesting sub-plots (The toll the war is having on the soldier's families? Maybe even throw in a few unwilling draftees?) Granted that doing so might be a little controversial, but it's an interesting thought.

Improved quote by making it simultaneously more funny AND more cute.

I could see a digimon political thriller, with digimon gaining power to evolve and the like as they gain public support. Lucemon's already canonically a Villain with Good Publicity anyhow (though I always figure he's the most... sympathetic of the Demon Lords. Along with Leviamon, who from the sounds of it, isn't so much evil as he is hungry).

Humans could be mythical heroes whose' main purpose is that they have massive crowd support, and whoever they support will instantly become the strongest digimon around- therefor, the point of the plot isn't so much to fight the villains, but to identify them.

It could work.
