The rules would be simple, you'd have to beat the opponent I choose with a Digimon construct, which is basically a virtual Digimon with any set stats, in this fight's case, 50000 to divy amongst HP, Str, End and Agi.

 

If you win, you get to become a Hunter once more. Should you lose, you are to accept your place in Dame Square with grace and will STOP jabroniing and moaning, as it is REALLY getting on my nerves to hear you whine and do things like *whimpers*.

 

Okay then, I'll agree to that. Would we be able to start as soon as possible? I don't want to delay my victory/ass getting kicked, depending on what happens. Thank you GMs for giving me the chance to become a hunter once again.

Fine then choose whatever construct you want from the sprite lists in the links on the front page, except current partner's and their Cho Shinka states..

 

Can it be a digimon of any level? Can I pick any digimon as long as it's not a partner here? If so, I'd like to have a construct of...

I told you, choose a Digimon that ISN'T a current partner or their Cho'd form and divy to it stats up to a total of 50000. And 1 stat point = 10 HP

 

I know I seem like a complete retard asking this, but could you explain how I give out the points on this construct. Like, am I getting 50000 points to give divy up between the 4 stats or... um, I don't know. I'm just a confused idiot whose sure you're so annoyed you want to kill him, which I'm quite sorry about.

I don't like Xros. Its as simple as that.

 

It's basically like DNA Digivolution, but the rules are a lot more free.

 

I'm watching the episode with Ogremon and Fugamon right now. Considering how Hydra said that in later episodes they try to keep Digimon a secret, I can't help but facepalm.

Excellent, I enjoy being correct.

 

That was an interesting battle, however. While Broken was purposely showing off... well, broken... abilities, it showed us that there are at least two different types: Digimon Passives and Hunter Actives. We've seen Digimon passives in the past (NeoDevimon and I think GrapLeomon?) and Broken hinted that we'll be seeing Digimon Actives in the future, but this is the first we've seen that Hunters might eventually develop their own Specials. Something less gamebreaking than Number Cruncher, of course.

 

I'm watching the episode with Ogremon and Fugamon right now. Considering how Hydra said that in later episodes they try to keep Digimon a secret, I can't help but facepalm.

 

I KNOW RIGHT. It's utterly bizzare, especially with how well everyone seems to take the revelation when it comes out. Ninety percent of the time they don't even comment on it and just go on talking about whatever lame social problem they're having at the time.

You're half right Hydra, see, your Digimon will never have Passives (may be subject to change); and Tamer Specials exist in two forms, Tamer Abilities and Tamer Passives. Currently, one of our number is in possession of a Tamer Passive. We felt they were entitled to it for all their hard work.

And Broken, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the thing that our Xros Up digimon would have passives, and those would transfer over when we Xrosed with them? I think that's how someone mentioned GrapLeomon worked, anyway.

And yeah, it did. I totally thought Trimage was the person you were refering to, because he's infamous here for how hard working he is. Totally unsarcastic.

No, there IS a Hunter with a Passive, whether they know it or not is up to them.

 

Unless it's Thunder and his Passive is Being Terrible, I fail to see how we could notice we have a power if you don't tell us and it isn't documented anywhere.

 

Mind you, if you aren't being clever with your wording and I'm not just suddenly stupid, it's probably Legend.

Wordplay is almost exclusively preformed using words that have a variety of alternative meanings; in this case, Broken is using the word "number" in a somewhat unusual (though valid) context, and has included two other main parts that he might be punning off of- "entitled" and "hard word".

Given he repeated 'entitled' a couple of posts later, I have to surmise that this either has something to do with it... or he's on a fixation rut and is writing the word more often than usual without even noticing it (it happens).

BrokenHeart15's number is, of course, 15. Well that's easy: let's just find out who the fifteenth member on the list is.

Well, if we append Nexev and Broken himself on the list as members One and Two, that would make Mugendramon the correct answer... but that one raises further questions. Nexev and Broken aren't hunters themselves in the same way we are, so I would expect they wouldn't include themselves in a list like that- so, if we're going by all the members of the club period, Thundervlux also has to be factored in. That would make the solution Daemon, and he hasn't even been around lately.

 

Welp, let's try splitting the 15 into 1 and 5. That would give us Phantom Roxas and myself, Hydra of Gentlemanliness as our solution. s. Plural. Since Broken has specifically stated it's only one person, that can't work. Likewise, if one of us IS the solution, how could you tell which it was? I see no reason to place 5 above 1 or vice versa. If there's any justification to this view, I'd say it's because he said 'one' of our number- perhaps mentioning the number cancels it out and leaves only the five? Seems like too much of a stretch of logic in any case.

 

Let's try adding the sums, then. That would give us Manzo Ishikawa, who again, hasn't been doing much for a while.

  • Entitled

Ah, yes, the one word that Broken used twice. Let's look at some User Titles, then, and see what pops up on the last page or so.

So, uh, who here is entitled to as Passive ability? #2 references the Clockmaker and therefore might be considered 'worthy' of having an ability in his name, but at the same time that's a weird brand of logic and it's technically supposed to be a penalty. #7 names himself as kinda God-Like, which is deserving of a passive I guess?

 

Honestly there's really no stand out of this section. Entitled was probably just a weird word choice rather than an attempt at a esoteric hint.

  • Hard Work

I find it difficult to see how this one could have a witty double-meaning in this context- the alternative meanings of 'Hard Work' aren't fluid enough to be shoehorned in as the answer for a double-entendre.

 

Taking it into a more serious context, Mugen and Myself could be seen as working pretty hard on those reports. Lovely Warrior DID win the tournament, though she got through that mainly through having a better partner period than any sort of had work. Plus, she's already been rewarded. Legend is the one who designed our Xros Loaders and does a bunch of stuff for us in general.

It occurs to me that this phrase would be most dickish if I was the one with the ability and he's attempting to be a jerk about it by being incredibly circuitous.

 

 

 

 

So I'm completely awake now, and I can say with great certainty that the answer is nowhere near as clear as you think it is Broken. Didn't find anything I hadn't already been considering when I looked over it yesterday, but I figured the most likely candidate for having the ability is myself, and you're just screwing with me. My logic for that is almost totally just that you enjoy screwing with people.

 

If someone else posts and figures it out easily, well then I guess I have my foot in my mouth.
