Oh, it's not the redaction of DigiNoir, just the Str bonus. It's been proven that, on some partners, to be UNGODLY powerful. If your mon has a Str of 15, doubled to 30 with Noir, then x5 to 150, that's a lot in the long, run especially since some partners here have more than 20, such as Terriormon, WHO blew up about a 1/3 of Grap's HP in one go as Rapidmon due to ungold high Agi & Str values, even with his low End he still kicked ass.

I only barely won that fight, though. He had been weakened prior too, iirc.

Because nobody here except Nex could have possibly known you'd have an issue with using an established part of the game that you've given no previous indication to having a problem with?

 

Also the fact nobody here has a partner capable of breaking a 70 Endurance consistently with non-Noired strength. If we weren't allowed to use Noir, we could have just skipped the battle entirely as a waste of time and jumped right to being dead.

Dude Broken your acting kinda crazy here, you have it on the first page what the rules to a hunt are and even mention that there will be some times where there will be special rules, but if we aren't told about those special rules you can't be surprised when people don't follow them especially if the rules forbid something we normally can do and in a situation where it is completely necessarily, finally if I remember correctly I asked you if I could get my DigiNoir back so I could use it so you should have considered other people using it.

I clearly stated I was using Noir. The OP still says using Noir is allowed. Nex is the one who chooses (well, rolls) which stat is boosted, I don't have any say in the matter, so I can't see how I'm responsible for ferrying that information to you. I directly asked Nex if I could use Noir; in fact, he was the one who reminded me to do so, the moment the battle started. There is literally no conceivable way I can see where this could have been in any way my fault.

 

In fact, I still have no idea what you were actually accusing me of. As far as I can tell, you still haven't decided to remove or modify Noir as part of the game.

Well looks like we have to redo the fight so might I suggest that the fighting parties by Chaos, Mugen, Remnant, Hydra, and Lovely seeing as I'm pretty sure all of them have answered the riddle.

Fair enough, BUT, the fact is is that the whole clerical system gets screwed if I'm not told this s***, and from what I vaguely got from Nex, I think he screwed up the Noir anyways.

 

There is one thing I dislike, and that are mistrials. That's why the battle is being repeated, it's Nex's punishment for screwing this s*** up.

Sorry but this is a DFF campaign. DFF is a big fighting league but their one rule is no weapons.

 

Notice Grap and Neo only have claws and such rather then a gun or a sword?

 

Machindramon has those giant cannons on his back.

 

Of course if he modified himself to make them removable then he would be allowed to participate but it wouldn't really be the same would it?

 

But what's even the big deal, if anyone benefits from a do over it would be you guys.

 

Oh and Broke you forgot to mention how the base stat increase given by the noir is permanent.

 

It says their is a increase but given that everything in this game is temporary it is easy to mistake it as a temporary one.

 

This also leads to a problem since Noir is the only way for your digimon to get anything resembling "leveling up".

 

Noir is both to useful and yes, NeoDevimon's endurance is too high (unless you seriously want this fight to be unwinnable as you said earlier) as the strength buff coupled with the high endurance given to boss digimon to make them handle Noir'd digimon ultimately makes the little doodads pretty much required.

 

And while yes Neo can be nerfed in endurance then he will be killed really fast given the doubled strength of his foes.

 

Obviously we need some balancing issues worked out.

Do I keep the effect of the Noir I used on the fight with Devimon originally, given that it technically never happened?

Well, his End was made so high Nex BECAUSE of the double Str bonus Noir gives. Frankly, after this battle is through, Noir will act differently.

 

In the Rookie/Armour state: x2 Str

In the Cho'd state: Inf Sta

 

Effectively, you only get one effect based on whether or not you've Cho Shinka'd... this will help to balance Ultimate/Mega mobs, as their strength is comparative due to the x2 Str in the Cho condition. In effect, we nerf DigiNoir, which in turn nerfs the Hunts.

 

This also works due to most Champion fights won't allow for Cho Shinkaing.

 

As things go, the first effect is more benefitial to Armour type partners, whilst the second is more benefitial to Rookie type partners.

Personally I think we should just lower the noir power to Strength 1.25 or something. Eh we will just force people to test run s*** for us.

Are there currently any active secondary pings that I could try in the hope of getting some DigiNoir, also if you need a Guinea pig to test things on I'm game so long as it doesn't break the Geneva convention.

I checked the first page but it didn't look like there were any active pings though I might have just missed it.
