I'm reminded by a fellow named FlikFreak, who wrote my favorite Kingdom Hearts crossovers of all time (which is saying something, given Kingdom Hearts gives itself so easily to crossovers). He did a yugioh one as well, though I'm after forgetting how it went.

He did a World Ends With You one too, which is hilarious in retrospect.

Woooo hooo, now try to solve the other riddle.

Anyway on crossovers they can be interesting, usually when the concepts are fused (Like Fallout Equestria (the best crossover I read))) rather then when random characters pop in from different settings, that doesnt make that interesting a story.

However crossover cameos in videogames tend to be pretty cool. Like Smash Brothers and using Yoda in Soul Caliber.

The problem with crossovers is that you should try and balance things out most of the time. Stuff like Kingdom Hearts doesn't count because of the original story that's formed within the crossover. Really, having big action stories crossover with Yu-Gi-Oh! is difficult because of the emphasis on card games that is present in Yu-Gi-Oh!

But if we were to create a Yu-Gi-Oh/Digimon crossover, it would be easier to turn Duel Monster cards into Digital entities than Digimon into cards. At least, it would be much better if we take that approach. It's pretty much the same for ANY Yu-Gi-Oh/anything else crossover, the options are very limited.

Do you know what I've noticed we've seen girls with male digimon partners but never a boy with a girl partner why is that, I count MarineAngemon as a male for these seeing as we could never tell its gender and I can't remember it doing anything.???

What, so default = male? The hell? That's both nonsensical AND sexist.

Quite true. There are certain fictions that simply lend themselves to crossovers, and others that are so self-contained that it's very difficult to come up with a compelling way to combine it with anything else.

I'd like to reiterate that I'm more fond of thematic hybrid rather than full-on crossovers. Fallout Equestria is an example of a Hybrid, because it's an original story told in a setting that happens to be a fusion between MLP and Fallout concepts. Heck, it's possible to do a thematic hybrid subtly enough that nobody would notice the difference- the digimon fic I have percolating at the moment began as a conceptual merger of Digimon and Shin Megumi Tensei Nocturne, let alone all the concepts that Persona 4 has bled into.

(Quick tip: Wanna make a Persona 4 hybrid? Take a series. Take the main characters of that series. Assign them Tarot designations and Personas as necessary. Figure out what their Shadows are. DONE. And now that I brought this up, I'm going to have to do this for every character of every seasons of canon digimon now...)

So I got the App finished for the Hunters RP. I made it pretty simple as to allow people with not much time to still be able to join. Also, to clear up any future confusion, I'm going to explain a few basic things:

"Child" means your partner's un-evolved form. It should most likely be a rookie, unless you have a good reason. As for "Adult," it means your partner's evolved form. It can be just about anything, as long as there's some justification (e.g. Don't have Agumon Cho Shinka into Weregarurumon).

That's pretty much it, so if you wanna start filling it out, or have any questions/comments, go ahead.
(Make sure that the text you type is not bold, and delete everything in parenthesis. If you don't, I will deny your app right away.)

Name:

Gender:

Age:

Bio: (At least three lines. Include some basic background info, as well as how they entered the DigiQuartz and got their Xros Loader, and how they met their partner.)

Personality: (Three words/phrases that describe you. Just to give a basic idea of your character.)

Appearance: (Pic or Description)

Xros Loader Color:

Partner (Child):

 • List of Attacks (Child): (<--- delete this and replace with attacks in bulleted format. Feel free to create and/or exclude attacks for already existing digimon. Describe the attacks)

Partner (Adult):

 • List of Attacks (Adult): (<--- delete this and replace with attacks in bulleted format. Feel free to create and/or exclude attacks for already existing digimon. Describe the attacks)

Partner’s Appearance: (For custom digimon only. You may include a pic, but please describe too.)
Hunted Digimon:]

(Put N/A for now)

Doesn't that eliminate the fun of Hunting and the RPing it allows; seriously just automatically deciding battle like that is so dull.

Well all the program does is go through the battle the same way you showed in the example on the front page. Once I edit some more, it's going to display every attack, so really it's just a battle simulator. Also, I don't see how you're going to RP a stat-based battle, since you can't really decide the winner, the stats do. Of course, you could always play out the scene based on which one is determined the winner.

Either way, the program doesn't take anything away from the experience. It just makes calculating the winner more easily and quickly, and it removes the need for any dice-rolling/random-number-choosing websites.
