Data Squad is the English name, Savers is the Japanese. They're the same except minor edits, though I do prefer the Japanese.

I'm aware you don't need to follow the crowd. I'm asking for your opinion. I'm legitimately interested in knowing if you have actual issues with Xros Wars and see good things in Frontier that I don't (entirely possible), or if you're just dismissing a new season out of hand for being different. You're perfectly allowed to state your opinion and refuse to explain yourself or back it up in any manner, but it's generally considered poor form to insult a form of media without explaining sufficiently why.

*sigh* Frontier was the Digimon i grew up with when Digimon first came over here i didn't watch it becuase the first two seasons looked like they were for little kids (which they were) and by the time Tamers came they were playing Frontier on ABC and i started to watch it and fell in love with it. It was the season that got me into Digimon in the first place and no matter what it will always be my favorite.

Xros Wars is a season i don't like (and the only one) I do not at all like the whole Xrosing thing. Whats the point of having levels if their insignificant? They just fuse 2 or more Digimon together and its somehow stronger. I don't like the characters Designs the only exceptions are Nene and Zenjiro. There is no real story before they enter the digital world just Akari searching for Taiki then randomly Zenjiro walks in and in like 5 seconds are already in the digital world. There is almost nothing about this season i like.

Soooo... Nostalgia Goggles?

Technically all the seasons were for little kids. Well, I suspect 5 was targeted more for the typical Shonen Age group (14-17), but in general yeah, it is a kid's show. Frontier just as much as any other.

So shows and video games that aren't Xros Wars can use them. Just because the current couple seasons disregard levels doesn't mean that they;re never going to use the system again.

They just fuse 2 digimon and... Somehow stronger

Uh, yeah, typically fusing things makes them stronger. That's, you know, the point of fusion. It's not a difficult concept.

Don't like the character designs

That's a legitimate opinion thing. I found Taiki's design grew on me a lot as the show went on, but oddly enough I've always hated how Zenjiro looked, and Nene always seemed... off somehow. Akari's design is actually my favorite for whatever reason, and I liked Kiriha's a lot too.

There's NEVER a story before they enter the digital world if the show doesn't largely take place in the human world. Even Frontier didn't have a story before they entered the digital world. Adventure didn't either. Neither did 02, really. Savers and Tamers both had their opening arcs in the human world, so they don't count.

There is almost nothing about the season that I like.

Considering you've seen less than a tenth of it, I hope you don't mind that I don't really take your criticism with a grain of salt. It's a little like reading the first chapter of a book before railing about how much it sucks.

Sorry if it seems like I baited you into an argument you didn't want to get into the first place, it's just that...

Actually that's exactly what I just did. Sorry about that. My points still stand though, and to be fair if you're in a Digimon Club you'll probably have to defend your opinions at every turn anyway.

To be entirely honest, it just sounds like you hate Xros Wars because you decided you were going to hate Xros Wars and didn't even bother giving it a chance. Which is how most digimon fans tend to watch Xros Wars, come to think of it.

How many episodes of it did you watch? If you did make it through the first three, then that's fine, but I think that it's the kind of series that just grows on you.

People told me that when DBZ came out to and today the only thing i have ever liked from DBZ was Videl.

Being honest its probably the same as the other animes that seemed to have died but came back with new seasons, like Beyblade and even some that are new like Bakugan i just don't ever like the new seasons... although the new bayblade is becuase of the craptastic voice actors.

That's just who i am. I usually don't like the newer seasons becuase to me they seem lower in quality and i try to watch them and like them but never can like with Xros and Beyblade i just find them annoying. Don't hate cuz i was born this way.

To me it's like one big middle finger to my childhood.
