Ieyasu Tokugawa
That right there shows you've never actually watched a cartoon that had a real good story to it and are most likely just a kid yourself
Good cartoons that have no actual story: Tom and Jerry Bugs Bunny Edd, Ed 'n Eddy The Jetsons The Flintstones That's just off the top of my head. Are you saying only kids enjoy watching these cartoon? As for my opinion, kids nowadays are different from kids 10 years ago. They like different stuff we do, and I'm 19 and I enjoy some of the stuff CN puts on their channel. The only things I think have absolutely 0 place on CN is the real-time shows like Dude What Would Happen and Destroy Build Destroy because it ruins the notion of Cartoon Network. Jake the Sage
Those do have a storyline if you believe me or not, though a very simple one. Tom & Jerry = Tom chases Jerry, that allowed them to make any number of cartoons with them in it. Bugs Bunny = As a looney toon, and thus an actual adult cartoon, he was allowed to deal with anything in the media and his basic plot was making fun of his other cohorts. Edd, Ed n Eddy = Jawbreakers, need I say more? Okay I still will . . . their plot centered around that and the schemes which would get them the money to BUY said jawbreakers. The Jetsons/Flintstones = these two basically have the same plot, the husband would almost loose his job, loose it altogether or get a promotion . . . something bad would happen and he'd end up in the same spot he was at the very begining of the show. Astro Dude
Remember when Spencer was pickboy? Remember our generation's version of drake and Josh. We had Keenan and Kel. We had Lil Romeo and Moody's Point. Nickelodeon has gone dead just like Disney. Disney XD is only worth watching because of the avengers and Naruto. Hell, give that stupid marvel show on CN and replace it with the Avengers.
Not to mention Cousin Sketter. And Kenan has one "e". Nick is gonna have Power Rangers soon. And why not air decent programming between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Like an 8-hour Toonami block? Gospel.
lol....Veoh.com anybody? Hell, Toonami used to air uncut Gundam SEED and Dragonball episodes which were pretty damn graphic considering it came on right when I'd get off school. Adult Swim isn't too bad. I wish they showed Blood+ and FLCL on Saturdays instead of Bleach...Aqua Teen is okay, Metalocalypse is dope, Venture Bros. is great, Robot Chicken is okay and still Bleach isn't horrible. But I do agree that they should have a stand alone station and play Gundam, FLCL, Elfen Lied, Transformers, Gi-Joe, Thundercats, all that other violent anime like Blood or Ghost in The Shell, Fist of the north star and Berserk...stuff like that would be great. But alas, TV sucks and the viewers ultimately pay the price. Except little kids...they get everything they want.
Ok they may have a simple story line but they missed the most important part of any show and that is the plot and some kind of super villan who is strickly evil. The supervillan is the one that gets me the most. I mean what is the ICE KING from adventure time. He isn't a villan, he is a hormone enraged teenager who isn't even a threat. I mean come on is that the best they could come up with, what happened to mandark and mummra from the old shows who scared me as a child.Even beyond that shows these days don't have a plot and thats what a lot of people look for not this random Bulls**t. And even if they dont have good plot that captures people then they could atleast have a good opening theme song, I don't know bout you but the theme song is what gets me to watch the show. Take thundercats for instance, It had one of the most bad a$$ openings of any show.(I even thought it was better than the show some times.) I mean what is the theme for adventure time. When i think adventure time i think of an adventurous opening with kick A$$ music, not the bulls**t that they have. I think that CN should be slapped in the face for what they have done to children these days, brainwashing them with crappy shows. . .*Takes a deep breath*

Lady_Killer
ok maybe not supervillian but they had somebody who was strickly trying to inhibit the roles of the primary protaganists. Although they may not have super powers they were still a major part of the plot and they were there stickly to give the main characters a hard time, something that a lot of cartoons on CN don't have today.(Though i have to take this last comment back some what because of the introduction of Young Justice.) For god sake what is the Villian of Adventure time. . . The ICE KING! HA. I've seen more of a villian in my little ones diaper.

The only time she hinders anybody is when she gets lost while driving them to the beach, and if that makes her the villain then Konata's cousin is also a villain. Lady_Killer
ok true, you win this one. However, Lucky Star is more of a High School Romance kinda thing, (IDK i only payed half attention when my GF made me watch it.), and The Cartoons on CN are action and adventure. Those kind of stories need a good Antagonist to make the stoy complete. That is just a common among the story world.

I agree that it isn't as good as it used to be, but I still think it's a decent line-up, though the live action shows need to leave ASAP.
Jake the Sage
Once more comedy yes, but a good line up you have to be joking . . . But I'll sure as hell MAKE it f*cking funny when I knock his ass out with a metal baseball bat! THAT is dark humor and 'The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy' monopolized that sh*t!
