Black Metal
My thoughts exactly. Spongebob started sucking after the movie because the original creator stepped down. He was a marine biologist, therefore, he was presumably intelligent. Without him, the show is less intelligent. As for iCarly, it is scary how it's becoming the best show on there. O_O I just hate the writing, the titular character's god awful acting, and the jokes that make you want to throw things at the TV.
I agree with you. Spongebob did suck after the movie because Stephen Hillenburg ran out of good ideas. He thought he could make it better by making Spongebob and Patrick even better, but he was way off. Now Spongebob doesn't make me laugh like the really old episodes, the old ones had more humor in it. And for i-Carly, I actually enjoy the show but the jokes SUCK! Like shizz, bikini dog food fight, like WTF is this?! What also ticks me off about the show is that they make other names based on other products like Coke-Cola = Moca-Cola on i-Carly, Mountain Dew= Mountain Fizz, and there's even MORE (I just really didn't want to write them down because it made me feel stupid )
Renzoku Kira-
Spongebob owned when you got to see his expression when he found out that Squidward liked krabby patties, the graveyard shift episode, and the random things Spongebob did in his first two years on T.V. now its like an hour long special every couple of months. Jake the Sage
I never got the reason why Spongebob was funny . . . only making FUN of him made him funny to me. He is actually one of the main reasons I always liked Cartoon Network, before it got to this point, over Nicktoons
Phantom Roxas
I thought that the Spongebob Squarepants Movie was a great finale to the series, and every episode made after that should just be ignored. I think there were a few post-movie episodes that I liked, but Spongebob is finished in my eyes.
Great Unclean One: VK
As stated many times, if CN wants go to back on top, it needs to purge itself of it's s*** and get more better shows with a good plot. It needs: Old episodes of Loony Toons Megas XLR Dragon Ball Z Gundam series such as Wing or G. But hopefully Turn A or Gundam Unicorn Toonami (Not the newer version where it was more cartoony, the old version of Tom and his hot friend) More shows such as bionic titan, Ben 10 (I though I never would have typed that....), Batman The Brave and teh Bold, Batman Beyond, The Batman, and other shows similar Disney was the root of all of this along with the damn FCC and it's army of whores. DAMMIT PARENTS, IF YOU WANTED TO CONTROL WHAT YOUR KIDS WATCH, DO IT YOURSELF INSTEAD OF BEING LAZY a******s WHO b**** AND COMPLAIN TO THE CEOs AND FORCE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WANT OFF! f***, THEY ALWAYS COMPLAIN ABOUT s*** THEY DO, HELL, I WENT TO WAL MART AND SAW A MOM BUYING HER 10 YEAR OLD BRAT WORLD AT WAR FOR THE PS2, WHAT f***ing IDIOTS DO THAT? DID SHE WANT HER KID GIBBING OFF A MAN'S ARM OR SOME s*** LIKE THAT? Anyhow, Disney was the first one to launch it's tactical nuke of boy bands and whores who entice lil bois and girls into thinking this is what true entertainment is all about, a cesspool of s*** that has no plot and only provides a quick and meaningless rabble that can easily be repeated till someone finds out its the same s*** that their showing, again, again, and f***ing again. Then Nick falls along with their Big Time Rush, more like Big Time FAIL, hell, and also with this ICarly, and not to mention a plethora of quick get rich schemes that only cause problems. Then finally, CN, the network last to fall victem to it's need to find a quick fix solution. Now, it's showing shows with no plots and aimed ONLY at young kids who can't piece together plots and remember what the last episode was all about. Sadly, they are falling harder and are now keep spewing out s*** in the hopes it'll hit the one that'll save it. Sadly, instead of looking for new shows that have no plot or abilitiy to stick to a basic line, they are shitting out more random s*** that was made by a mentally handicapped writer that was the failed abortion of a media arts school. Now, Adult Swim is the only reason I watch tv, along with the military and science channels. Now, I sometimes watch the older shows or some Batman. I now am filled with joy that their reshowing Ed Edd and Eddy, at least they were funny enough to not need a plot. But Nick also realizes that certain older shows bring in ratings, such as Spongebob and Invader Zim, and now DBZ which they quickly got from CN. Of course, I'm still angry about the video showing Toonami being cancelled all because of the wave of reality shows on a cartoon channel. I'm 17 and I still CN and Nick. Sadly, only for these reasons: Nick: Avatar Spongebob when it's a old episode Invader Zim CN: Adult Swim for the anime and a old family guy episode Ed Edd and Eddy KND Grim Adventures But I swear, they need more anime. It what helped bring in the ratings. For AS, I suggest they at least for summer show more anime and some OVA once in a while. Like the ova for Read or Die, surely the sexy chicks will bring in viewers, and uncensored or edited Yu Yu Hakusho. Hell, bring in Mazinger for all I care. (Note, I know that Mazinger is from the 1970's, but it was a great series.)
Jake the Sage
Did I just read a copy of my own post XD But NOW we get to the heart of the matter. THE PARENTS!!!! We can complain and argue about what the CEOs of all three cartooning industries are doing wrong or could do to change to make themselves better, but it is all f*cking moot if the parents just continue to open their God D*mn mouths and start complaining like little whinny b*tches all over again! They actually did a study, check this sh*t out! Researchers found that a child who PLAYS violent video games is less likely to actually commit the God d*mn f*cking crimes then those who don't!!! In fact since violent video games, along with their watchable counterparts [be they movei or tv show], came out the actual crime rate for the entire f*cking United States . . . let me repeat that for you . . . the United States, not just Texas or New York, but THE ENTIRE F*CKING UNITED STATES OF EVER LOVING AMERICA! Do you know WHY violent crimes has gone down? Well considering most violent games let to do, without getting in actual trouble, what you planned on doing to their neighbours b*tch of a wife because she did God knows what and you just can't let it go . . . *seeths in rememberance* But any person, unless they are mentally retarded, would rather shoot someone in a game and get away with it than do it in real life and go to jail and be partnered with Big Bubba for the rest of their pathetic life. Also, while I'm on a rant about bad parenting, this entire "V-Chip" thing is complete and utter bull sh*t! A microchip, or whatever the hell it is, that blocks the channels that you don't want your child to watch. Yeah . . . how can I put this easily for those parents who think this is a good idea. Uh . . . YOU can't program the VCR's f*cking digital clock, but your little pride and joy was able to figure out your computer was running slow because had spyware on it . . . AND REMOVED THAT SH*T ALL IN THIRTY MINUTES! Do they honestly think a simple chip is going to keep out a kid if he is persistant enough? I'll be honest with you, my Aunt and Uncle have a V-Chip so their daughter doesn't watch anything bad . . . she's five by the way and I've told them numerous times they've waisted the money because unless it's god d*mn Miley Cyrus she isn't interested . . . but back on topic. I asked IF she could remove it, and OMFG could you imagine it! A five year old girl was able to input the correct code to disable it, which afterwards she told me she could've removed it manually if the code'd been changed. V-Chip = Worthless piece of sh*t!
Remember when Spencer was pickboy? Remember our generation's version of drake and Josh. We had Keenan and Kel. We had Lil Romeo and Moody's Point. Nickelodeon has gone dead just like Disney. Disney XD is only worth watching because of the avengers and Naruto. Hell, give that stupid marvel show on CN and replace it with the Avengers. Soul Saint
The sad thing is, w/o looking at your profile. I can tell easily that you're under 13 years old. I was the same and had the same opinion. CN is a piece of no good raggedy s***. Everything they show on that channel is completely stupid. The animes and classics like dexter's lab is the only good stuff nowadays. Even adult swim is getting stupid. It's schedule is filled with fail comedy. Even Nick has gotten stupid. Remember Keenan and Kel, It's All That, Rugrats, and all the other good stuff? If CN dedicated just one week with cartoons [i feel old for saying] our time. Ratings would be higher than AO channels on satellite
QFT Yet, Cartoon Netwrok still airs Tom and Jerry. Darth Revan of the Sith
Truthfully i kinda like where cartoon network is going i mean... These new cartoons like Chowder, Adventure time, and Flapjack have just been about .001 times more edgier than they used to be i think it shows that kids are maturing at younger ages now. These cartoons are saying words you would never see in the original broadcasting... And I thought Unnatural history was an excellent show in its own right. The reason these shows have become so random and awkward is because teenagers nowadays are tired of organized plots and endings and are starting to take a liking to shows that play random Bullsh*t with practically awkward endings. In short they like randomness. The Grim adventures was the highest rated show when it first came out. Why? Mostly because plots became exceedingly random and there were barely any happy endings (most of the time the world ended).

I see nothing that is edgier about these piles of sh*t. Powerpuff Girls was more edgier than all three of them i think it shows that kids are maturing at younger ages now. Why that is true, these shows hardly prove it These cartoons are saying words you would never see in the original broadcasting... Looney Toons was actually meant for adults and said ASS in one cartoon. LOLWHUT 8D More than once have people here, and in other threads, stated how much they hate the randomness that these new shows are all about. Why would teenagers now a days rather watch an anime, with a complete plot and ending, instead of doing what you said and rot their brains sitting through thirty minutes of 'Adventure Time'? In short they like randomness. Again . . . no chance in hell The Grim adventures was the highest rated show when it first came out. Yes it was Why?
