Flame Dragon
I just realized that the prices for Nintendo systems get a $30+ increase when moved to Canada (even though the currency up here is worth slightly more that the US). Meaning the price for me is actually about $280. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Buy from US? Wait importing it might end up costing you the money you would save.
The only thing that disappoints me is the battery life. 3-5 hours with 3DS games, or 5-8 with DS games.
O, I forgot about that. Yea, that's one of it's biggest problems, but I'm sure it will be one of the first ones to get fixed.
Phantom Roxas
http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/ Official site for those interested. Seeing the Oracle games advertised with the eShop makes me really happy. Those will probably be my first games for the 3DS, even though they're just downloads. The battery life is something I can see being fixed for the 3DS Lite. I'll probably trade up to that when it comes out, but I'm still going to get the original. Hopefully the upgrade has more features than just a higher battery life.
TAG
They so did. You should throw more money at Nintendo the get them to push the release date up by 3 days. O, looks like we are getting a Pikmin 3DS game.
Just checked. The Pikmin 3DS listing was only an error. Sorry, d00d. Your princess is in another castle.

Rias Gremory
luckyyy xD I will only get the 3DS when they release a 3DS Pokemon game. Which for sure will take them a while (specially because we have to wait 6 more months than Japan does on Pokemon games)
Dark
A little pricey, but as to be expected. I think I read somewhere that it would be $300, so 250 isn't too bad, but more than I'm willing to dish out. I'll wait for a price drop, or a new version. (3DS Lite anyone?)
It would have never been 300. Nintendo never does direct Yen-to-USD conversions. And a price drop won't happen for at least eight months, and I doubt a 3DS Lite will come into play. I'm pretty sure they'll go straight from 3DS to 3DS XL, since Lite is kind of covered and i is definitely covered.
Apparently, the system comes with a 2GB SD Card and possibly Zelda or a few other games, so $250 actually seems pretty reasonable.
2 GB SD Card isn't amazing, but if it does come with a Zelda game, even if its more than 250 (like, a release bundle), that is still awesome. The games on-release seem pretty bad, imo, so I'mma have to wait before getting legitimate 3DS games.
Most post the battery life on the highest brightness setting. I'd say it's more like 5-7 hours for 3DS games and 8-10 for DS games. Which is still pretty bad, but more than my laptop, so that's fine. =)
Kiyo
I can't imagine someone playing the thing for more than 5 hours Even then, they'd probably be near an outlet anyway. Yeah, the launch lineup is pretty disappointing. Was expecting AT LEAST Kid Icarus and Mario Kart. Too bad I preordered. I'll probably get PilotWings, RE, or SSFIV. Piercer of the Heavens
I really want this but its way too expensive for me(don't have job, still in high school) so I need to start earning now and working with my dad to get it about a month after it comes out T_T, but it will be worth it (at least I hope so). Shradow
I was hoping for $200, but I was expecting $250, so I'm good. I want OoT, Star Fox 64, Kid Icarus: Uprising, and Paper Mario 3DS. My DS's top screen has been broken for at least a year, and I need a new one anyways.
Jacoby746
I have been needing a new DS too. The R button is broken and pretty much the only games I play on the DS are Kingdom Hearts games lately, so it kind of makes it hard to play. Especially Days.
If you haven't already tried, blow into the crevices of your R button. Usually, if the shoulder buttons aren't functioning, it's because of dust. Yeah, I need a new one too. The hinge of my Lite is loose, so I have to hold it while I play, and if I close the system and reopen it, it takes a couple of seconds for the top screen to redraw itself >.>
Piercer of the Heavens
wow is every ds broken(mine is too) I think nintendo planned that it would break and they would release the 3ds lol they would never doo that
TAG
^ I dropped my original one and cracked the hinge. So it's safe to say that not EVERY system breaking was planned by them.
Shradow
My DS's top screen broke after I dropped it several dozen times (I'm very clumsy). It was a sturdy little thing, thanks to the armor I had on it. I don't think it'll fit on the 3DS, unfortunately...
burnpsy
I'm actually a little happy that the launch titles are bad. We were promised a large stream of games until June, and this allows for me to leave it unopened until I can get screen protectors and such. Dark
My R button is broken for reasons other than dust. Just imagine playing Mario Kart for like sixty or seventy hours within a period of two weeks. I'm a master at drifting in that game, so the R button eventually wore itself out. It doesn't respond as well as I want it to. My DS also has a broken hinge, but it doesn't really matter. DS Phat ftw. <3 But since I haven't gotten any of the upgrades (Lite, i, i XL), I feel like I deserve to get the 3DS. :D
Canadian
250$ is okay IMO.
