Seems a little pricey for a handheld to be honest. I know the 3DS is New Tech and with it comes a higher price but $250 just sounds like an amount that Nintendo EXPECTS people to pay.

I'm a European so will be keeping a eye on the Price Point but with current Currency Conversions the 3DS is currently around £180-190.

I could buy it with my own money, but that is a lot. And I always feel guilty when my mom buys me something really expensive when it's not Christmas or my birthday.

That's why you ask for it as a Christmas gift you get later. That's what I did.

So what 3DS games are you looking forward to? I know I want the Kingdom Hearts, and Mario games. Also OoT since I've never played it and I don't mind throwing money at nintendo.

Once they revealed that, in Yen, the DS was around $300, I knew for a fact that the US price was going to be around $250. I feel that as a respectable price, just because I'd consider it as useful and as "interesting" as the Wii when it first came out. Kick-ass game library, awesome graphical capabilities, and now it has a shitton of new perks. The price is fairly right, even though it sounds expensive for a handheld.

Games are probably going to be in the 40-50 USD range instead of the 30-40 USD range like normal DS games were, so that does hurt a bit. Not really much unless you plan on getting 10 games, which would thus cost you roughly 100 dollars more.

I'm a bit pissed that Europe gets the 3DS and Pokemon Black/White two days before America. I think Europe was jealous so they bribed Japan for a two-day earlier release date. =P

They so did. You should throw more money at Nintendo the get them to push the release date up by 3 days.

O, looks like we are getting a Pikmin 3DS game. :D

Hey, Ninty baby. Looking fine in that Japanese suit. Oh, it was made in China and from an American company... who cares?! Anyways, how about I pay you three million to let America get Pokemon Black/White and the 3DS before Europe.

...I meant three million Yen, dude.

That's roughly 35000 USD, assuming 86 Yen per dollar. I have no idea what the current rate is, since the Yen has been increasing for quite some time now.

A little pricey, but as to be expected. I think I read somewhere that it would be $300, so 250 isn't too bad, but more than I'm willing to dish out.

I'll wait for a price drop, or a new version. (3DS Lite anyone?)

The Japanese 3DS is worth 300 American Dollars. But that's with a direct price conversion, which is something Nintendo never does. So it was very likely that it would be around $250.

Oh, also, the 3DS will have its own little Virtual Console with Gameboy and Gameboy Color games. :D

Apparently, the system comes with a 2GB SD Card and possibly Zelda or a few other games, so $250 actually seems pretty reasonable.
