"Giant Trunade huh?" Sugata took the his two set cards from their slots and placed them with the remaining cards in his hand. A smile came to his face as his opponent, Emma had declared her attack on his monster. "Reveal, Reptilanne Gardna!" Sugata yelled out. The Slot on his duel-disk which was occupied by a face-down card flipped over, causing it to be face-up. As this happend, Sugata's monster card on the field also flipped up, and a hologram of a turtle-like monster appeared. "My Retilanne Gardna has two-thousand defense. So you'll be taking six-hundred points of damage Emma!" Sugata looked to the Shining Angel which was charging towards his Reptillanne Gardna.

"Crap," said Dark Magician Girl, wincing as she took the damage. "That hurt," she said, frowning. She set two face downs cards in her spell and trap card zone. Both of her Shining Angels remained in attack position. 1400 attack. "I end my turn," she said, beginning to think. My ability is still going strong, so it is only a matter of time before it has some affect on him. Hopefully it does not effect the people who are watching though...

"Wow she is incompetent" Katapeia mused. He had just relised that he had made a sound when somebody approached the bush he was hiding in.
"Uh..uh I know, I'll teleport! That's not wierd!" A shot of smoke puffed up, diverting the attention of the duelists to the bush and creating a feeling of bemusement in the courtyard.

At the dorm Katapeia began sorting his weapons. A quick scroll was studied and he ran out again, this time he would find the person.

"My turn." Sugata draws a card from his deck, placing it with the others in his hand he looks them over. Taking the Reptilanne Naga monster card from his hand he places it face-down in the slot next to the Reptilanne Gardna. "I'm setting another monster face down." As he did so, the holographic image of the back-side of a monster card appeared. "Now im setting two cards face down." As he said so, he set two cards from his hand and placed them on his field. "With my Snake Whistle trap card, i'll be able to counter if she uses an effect to destroy my monsters...and Deep in thought, he looked at his other face down card. "Scapegoat will help me out in a pinch. "I end my turn." Sugata looked to Emma, seemingly unaffected for a few moments, but his face still had a soft blush on it.

He's being defense, Dark Magician Girl thought. Either he is making me walk into a trap or he is simply building his defenses. Either way I better focus on one of the other aspects of my spellcaster deck rather than magicians. If I even summon any magician monster then someone might suspect me.
Noticing Sugata's slight blush, Dark Magician Girl simply gave him a wink. Drawing, she then said, "My turn. I set one monster." A face down monster card appeared on her side of the field. "Next I will have Shining Angel attack your face down monster!"

Sugata blushed a bit more and scratched his head a bit when Emma winked at him. He turned his head when he heard Emma shout to her monster to attack. "Reveal Reptilanne Naga!" Sugata's monster flipped face-up with no defense it took the monsters attack full on but was not destroyed. "Reptilanne Naga is a monster which cannot be destroyed in battle. Further more, when a monster battles with my Reptilanne Naga that monsters Attack points will become zero at the end of the battle phase." Sugata then smirked and watched Emma for his next move.

She watched as her attack was stopped by his monster's ability. "Okay then," said Dark Magician Girl, a little annoyed. So I am now basically positive he is using Reptilanne type cards. And I know nothing about them, great, she thought. His deck probably focuses on defense, but I'm in a tight spot because I can not pull out my major strengths, my magicians. Still, I might as well end my turn. I have nothing more to do. "You keep on stopping my attacks! You're really good," said Dark Magician Girl, smiling. "I guess I will end my turn now."

Dalst watched the duel closely from his dorm window. He decided that maybe he could find an opponent or just watch the rest of the duel. He searched his bags for his duel disk, got his deck and started to make his way downstairs to the courtyard. He saw two people standing by each other watching the duel aswell. He attempted to converse, "those Reptilannes aren't a force to be reckoned with. One mistake can cost you the duel."

"My turn." Sugata drew one card from his deck then paused for a moment, evaluating the field. "Two Shining Angels, one with zero attack points, as well as two face down cards. Do i attack or wait again...either way."As he thought, he turned his head and looked at his Reptilanne Naga monster. "Reptilanne Naga will be forced into attack position when i end my turn..." Sugata took a card from his hand and placed it face-up in a monster card zone. "I summon Reptilanne Scylla in attack mode." A blue ray of light came from the ground infront of his body and a hideous creature with a humanoid figure on it appeared from it. Boasting 1800 ATK it let out a cry. "I end my turn." Sugata said calmy, watching as his Reptilanne Naga monster was changed from defense mode to attack mode due to its effect. It had no ATK.

"I draw," Dark Magician Girl exclaimed. "First off, I'll switch both of my angels into defense position." The Shining Angels changed their position slightly as their wings folded in, acting as a shield. None of my non-magician monsters can beat that, she thought to herself. And little does he know it, but my two face downs cannot do much either... They barely hinder his attacks let alone stop or prevent them. I might be forced to used my magicians soon, hopefully my charm kicks with greater strength quicker. She looked at Sugata and smiled. "I end my turn, I guess..."

"Hmm...slow pace huh...?" Sugata drew his next card. "Is she holding back? Or...is there something more?" Placing the card he just drew with the others Sugata examined the field once more. Sugata took a card from his hand and placed it down in a spell and trap card zone. "Im setting one card face down." "With this trap i'll be able to protect my self from one of her attacks...if she ever decides to attack me that is." Sugata sighed a bit. "Why does she keep smiling at me...it's pretty hard to resist." Almost becoming lost in thought, Sugata pushed his glasses up and spoke. "I end my turn."

The duel was getting slower by the minute. Neither I or Sugata have the guts to attack, or at least Sugata does not, thought Dark Magician Girl. I am holding back so I do not expose myself; he is not holding back but rather is just a defensive player. Dark Magician Girl wanted to scream in annoyance; I want to attack, but my Shining Angels are weak, so is my face down monster, and I cannot play my strong monsters. If he attacks and destroys a Shining Angel, I can search for a card that can actually do something! "I have nothing, sorry," said Dark Magician Girl, shrugging and smiling cutely. "I end my turn again..."

"..." He didn't say anything for a few moments. "Very well. Prepare your self!" Sugata drew a card from his deck and added it to his hand along with the others. "This monster, can be Special Summoned if i sacrafice two monsters with zero attack points from anywhere on the field. Now, due to the effects of my Reptilanne Naga, one of your two Shining Angels have zero ATK; as well as my Reptilanne Naga her self having zero ATK i have the conditions set up right here. So then!" Sugata pulled the Reptilanne Vaskii from his hand and showed it to Emma, his opponent. Soon, the Reptilanne Naga and Emma's Shining Angel had started to glow. They burst into a ray of light and soon an even larger ray of light appeared on Sugata's side of the field had appeared. "Come fourth, Reptilanne Vaskii!" Sugata threw down the Reptilanne Vaskii card into his monster card zone, and a large monster, with the upper-body of a woman with multiple-arms and a snake-like body appeared from the blue light. It had 2600 ATK.

"I activate my face down," Dark Magician Girl responded, revealing a Spell Card. "Book of Moon!" She pointed at Sugata's new monster, and it flipped down into face down defense position. "That will stop it for a turn, at least." And that was all she really needed in the first place. If Sugata did not attack her Shining Angel this turn with one of his monsters, then she will destroy Vaskii next turn with Shining Angel since it had zero defense points. I have him right where I want him, she thought to herself. "Nice try, Sugata," she said, grinning. By now, she thought, my smile should be infatuating.

"What!?" Sugata's face showed dismay. He watched as his Vaskii vanished back into a monster card and was set on his field. Sugata was pausing for a moment. Sugata clenched his fist and looked up at Emma. "It's going to take more then just a pretty face to stop me Emma. If you hadn't noticed yet, i'm not as blind as some of the baffoons you'll see at this school." Although, while he said that, he still had a tint of red in his face, but he smiled anyway. "I summon Reptilanne Viper!" A blue ray appeared infront of Sugata, and a small almost cute little snake like monster appeared. It had zero ATK and DEF. "Since Vaskii's summon was a special summon, i could still summon this. It was clever of you to use your Book of moon to stop my Vaskii however...!" Sugata placed his arm into the air. "Im tuning my level two Reptilanne Viper to my lvl four Reptilanne Scylla."

Dark Magician Girl continued to smile at Sugata. I am more than just a pretty face, she thought. I am a duel monster with powers beyond your understanding. My ability will take hold sooner or later. I am sorry, Sugata, I really am. I do not want to use my ability on you like this. It is between this and using my magicians, and I cannot use my magicians. I cannot just throw the duel either, that will bring more suspicion on to me. But I saw your slight blush and your smile, Sugata. I know you like me. I have to use my ability to put up a fight at least. "Okay," she said eagerly, "let's see what you got!"

Responding to Dalst, Jacob nodded said, "Yeah. That girl better watch out. It's a shame that this duel has been going so slow. But maybe, and hopefully, Sugata's next move will speed things up a bit." This girl seems to be holding back or just is not that good at dueling. Even without her looks, she does not act very smart in the first place. I wonder why she is even dueling Sugata in the first place. He's just shy and quiet. Nothing special. And she is one of the hottest girls at this school.

Dalst had a good feeling that Sugata had this one in the bag. "Yeah, she needs to really start trying, unless she has nothing to play. For all we know she could turn all of this around in the next move," he began. He examined the two standing beside him before noticing where Jacob was looking. He decided to talk about that, "I see you're looking closely at that girl over there. I must admit she is kinda cute. Though, if you can win her over, you can have her. Dueling is my maiden."

Jacob glanced over at Dalst for a second and questioned, a little amused, "Is that a challenge?" Hmph. This will be a good way to get that girl's attention, I suppose. And I have a pretty good record in dueling last year, and I have only grown better over the summer. This might be just what I need. It is perfect. Jacob turned his attention to the girl again and smiled. "If it is, I accept it. We can duel right now if you want to," he said confidently. "Or did I misunderstand what you said?"

Dalst smirked before stating, "it's only a challenge if you want to be." He started chuckling before raising his left arm, which hoisted his duel disk, and informed, "if you accept then let it be. We'll duel right now." He adjusted his posture. "Where shall we have this duel? If you want this duel right here, okay. Infact, I don't care where we duel. This is gonna be pretty epic," Dalst stated with a fire in his eyes. This guy seems pretty good, let's see if he can beat me, he thought.

"Here is just fine," replied Jacob. I usually use a Fables deck, but today I think I might try something a bit different for the occasion. He pulled a duel disk out of his backpack, following with a deck of cards. A new deck I have been working on. Let's see how it goes. He placed the new deck into the slot and glanced over at the girl. For her, I will win. Losing is not an option. Taking a few steps back and activating his duel disk, Jacob said, "You can have the first move. And if you don't mind, let's set this duel at 4000 Life Points each."

"Kay!" Dalst shouted, "I draw!" He grabbed up 6 cards from his deck. Wow!, he thought, these cards are great! I'll be able to do quite a bit with this turn. This trap will be useful, better set it. "First," he stated, "I set one card and play The Last Utopia!" A giant horizontal card appeared infront of him as an amazing beautiful land appeared around him and Jacob. "This," he informed, "is my field spell and you'll soon see what it can do. While I'm at it I'll summon Marauding Captain which allows me to summon again. So," he paused I summon Justice Soldier Kain!" He smiled, "that's all. Your move!"

Jacob was a little taken back. I haven't seen these cards before... "I draw," he said to start his turn. "I summon Elemental Hero Prisma." A crystal like warrior appeared on the field. 1700 attack. "Next I activate his ability." Jacob revealed the fusion monster, Elemental Hero Terra Firma. "I can send 1 fusion material monster for Terra Firma to the Graveyard with Prisma's effect." Jacob selected Elemental Hero Woodsman from his deck and sent it to the graveyard. "Prisma gains Woodsman's name for the turn, but," he paused and placed two cards face down, "I end my turn now, so its name returns to normal."

"Huh," Dalst let out, "I was expecting a bit more." His life points then dropped to 3900. "I beleive I should explain why I lost life points," he started, "well, every turn I have to pay 100 points to keep The Last Utopia on the field, but," he paused. "When it's on the field no card effects can select any cards with Justice Soldier in their name on the field, that includes my card effects, though." Dalst smile turned into a wide grin as he drew his next card. "Wow, could be better. Oh well, I sacrifice Marauding Captain to summon Justice Soldier Monero!" He declared as a machine hologram appeared infront of him. "This mech holds 2300 ATK! Not to mention his effect you see once per turn I pay 200 life points to decrease the ATK of one your monsters by 200. But I'm feeling pitiful today, so Monero attack!" He pointed his finger out as the machine charged torwards Jacob.

A man wearing a long purple coat was observing the duel, a ginger haired girl besides him. "That guy, Jacob, looks like he's in a spot of bother...I doubt he'll win this duel, what do you think Hikari?" The man turned to Hikari, "...I think he may still have a chance! After all, he's playing Elemental Heroes, and we both know that they're very stubborn when it comes to losing..." Hikari replied, avoiding the gaze of her older brother, Duke.

Hikari never wanted to be in a place like this, away from her usual home, but Duke insisted she needed education. Why would I, sister to the legendary Buster Blader, be interested in education anyway? It's so boring... Hikari thought to herself, watching the duel in scilence...
