Master Hyperion
Because Konami made the IRL version of Labyrinth Wall, Magical Labyrinth and Wall Shadow terrible and I kinda liked the Anime version, even though the game engine was completely diffirent and that episode. So here's an attempt to make give it a feel of that episode. Labyrinth Wall Field Spell Card Once per turn, the turn's player can move 1 of their monster to an adjacent unoccupied Monster Card Zone. During either player's Battle Phase, the turn's player can only declare an attack with a monster if the column the monster is placed in is occupied by an opponent's monster and the monster must battle with the monster that is in the same column. If either (or both) player do not control a monster, the effect of this card is negated. Magical Labyrinth Spell Card Activate only if you control a "Labyrinth Wall". Arrange your opponent's monsters on the field in any order you desire, and replace them back to your opponent's side of the field. (You cannot change their Battle Position). Wall Shadow DARK Level 7 [Zombie/Effect] This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by returning to your deck 1 "Shadow Ghoul" you control. If you do not control a "Labyrinth Wall", return this card to your deck and Special Summon 1 "Shadow Ghoul" from your Deck. Once per turn, you can flip this card into face-down Defense Position. When this card is Flip Summoned, Spells, Traps, and Effect Monster effects cannot be activated. Negate the activation of a card effect that targets this 1 face-down monster. At that time, flip this card into face-up Defense Position. Once per turn, this card can move to any unoccupied Monster Card Zone. When this card attacks, you can change the Battle Position of the attack target. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Damage to your opponent. ATK/1600 DEF/3000 I tried so hard to keep the grammar to the style of the game, but I still think I goofed on some parts. Fixes are appreciated. Link to comment
LastTrain
I really like the first 2 cards, but I think that the second one just has far too many effects on it. I'd suggest changing the card to this. Wall Shadow DARK Level 7 [Zombie/Effect] This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned, except from your hand by returning to your deck 1 "Shadow Ghoul" you control. If you do not control a "Labyrinth Wall", return this card to your deck and Special Summon 1 "Shadow Ghoul" from your Deck. This card is unaffected by the effects of "Labyrinth Wall". Once per turn, you can move this card to an adjacent unoccupied Monster card zone. Also, this card cannot be targeted by the effects of Spell, Trap, or Monster cards. When this Attack Position card is selected as an attack target, switch it into Defense Position. ATK/1600 DEF/3000 I think this is MUCH better cause there isn't too long of card text and this form basically still has all the effects/mechanisms you wanted in the card. It's hard to be attacked with Labyrinth Wall out, and can't easly be destroyed by effects. It is also still able to "move around the labyrinth". However, I thought it was a tad unnecessary for the card to flip facedown, unless you meant it to be protected from effects (in which case, I just gave it the prevention form being targeted effect). So I also removed the effects related to being "facedown" and "flip summoning". Considering it all ready having a high defense, I thought it a bit unfair to have a "cant be destroyed in battle effect". I also thought the last two effects made it a little too overpowered. Let me know what you think of the changes ^-^ Otherwise, great card, wish they would redo them like this! 9/10 Link to comment
Master Hyperion
However, I thought it was a tad unnecessary for the card to flip facedown, unless you meant it to be protected from effects (in which case, I just gave it the prevention form being targeted effect).
Flipping a monster face-down is much more usefull than not being able to be targetted, since face-down monsters cannot get crippled by cards that just destroys a face-up monster that do not target at all, like Smashing, Fissure, Lightning Vortex. And you made it terrible again, because it's far too weak destroy anything by battle. Did remove some unnecessary effect though. Link to comment
LastTrain
I dont know. I'd say you've made it pretty hard to destroy. Even if you choose to keep the flipped face-down effect (which I guess isn't that bad), I still just really think that Wall Shadow shouldn't have a "cant be killed in battle" effect. It already has a high defense. Most monsters people use don't have ATK higher than 3000, and monsters that do have lower ATK usually have an effect to destroy/remove the monster once face up. So I just think it is pointless to prevent it from being destroyed by battle. I guess the switch battle position effect is helpful (allowing to target either one of the weaker stats), but I would say hands down that piercing damage is a bit too much. Sure, it has low ATK, but you can always boost the ATK. I'm glad to help (if i was any help), but i doubt I made the card "terrible". They are far more "terrible" cards than this one. Link to comment
