my 1st fanfic- it's an episode of GX that i made up. Please just check it out. it's my first try so if i stunk please don't comment on that.

 

the duel is Yubel-possessed Jesse vs. Sage Aarons.

 

Notes:

I don’t own Yu-Gi-Oh! G/X.

 

This starts out right after Yubel defeats Adrian while she is possessing Jesse. Yubel kidnapped Sage after the duel with Zane and brought her to the fortress that was in the foggy realm through the fifty-foot gate. Sage is a girl I made up for Season 3 from the (made up) Northwest Academy. She dresses a bit like Blair does in this season(though she also wears a pair of red gloves that look like the ones Alexis wears), looks like a brunette-Dark Magician Girl, can speak to Duel Spirits, and is in love with Jesse while he returns the feelings. Her deck is one based around Dark Magician Girl since her spirit and Dark Magician’s chose her as the heir to their power in their past lives as Mahad and Mana, Sage also has her own special powers(anyone could figure that out though). She considers them and all the other monsters in her deck family like Jesse does his Crystal Beasts since they were the only friends she had before she met Jesse and fell in love with him.

 

For quick reference, if I type in Yubel/Jesse anywhere that’s just what I called Jesse when Yubel inhabited his body. I also will make points where Yubel switches between Jesse’s and her own voice. Don’t make fun of it, it’s just what I did.

 

Anyway, this is an episode I made up so I hope you enjoy it. I thought it would kinda fit in(if Sage was a real character in the show) because of how she feels about Jesse since she wants to bring him back. (Basically, she’s me. I’ve got this monster crush on Jesse.) Sage will also have several cards of my own design in her deck.

 

 

Part 1:

 

Flashback:

Yubel/Jesse wins the duel against Zane. Sensing Sage’s power that rests within her, Yubel decides that she could be useful in her plans to get back at Jaden for banishing her into space. Sage is knocked out and kidnapped by Yubel/Jesse. When Jaden asks what he wants with Sage, all Yubel/Jesse says is, “She has great power that could be useful to what I have in store for you Jaden. And, there is another issue I could deal with using her.” Then, he leaves.

 

Yubel/Jesse summoned Yubel against Adrian and attacked the Grinder Golem he summoned to Adrian’s field with its effect. Adrian had to take 3000 damage because Yubel’s ability makes the opponent take all the damage her controller would normally take. Adrian and (since her spirit was in his deck) Echo disappear forever because Yubel/Jesse won the duel. Jaden isn’t that far up the elevator in the tower yet(despite what the anime did, I made it not to far because of the next duel). Sage was asleep the whole time and is just regaining consciousness.

 

Back to the present:

 

Sage wakes up and finds herself in a strange misty room. Her spirit of her monster Dark Petit Angel(she calls it Shadow) has appeared next to her looking concerned. (Just so everyone’s aware, Shadow looks like a DARK version of Petit Angel. She’s a black version of it with red eyes and little bat wings. And she sorta has fangs and really short claws.)

 

Sage- Shadow, where are we?

Shadow squeaks but Sage understands that she’s(Shadow is a girl) saying that Yubel/Jesse brought her here and that Sage could be in danger.

Yubel/Jesse(in Jesse’s voice)- I was starting to wonder if you would ever wake up.

 

Sage looks behind her to see Jesse with those really creepy orange eyes sitting on a massive blue throne.

 

Sage- Jesse!

Yubel/Jesse- (sniggers) I thought Jaden pointed out to you before I knocked you out that I’m not your precious boyfriend.

Sage- Yubel… Why are you doing this?

 

-Sage takes Shadow in her arms at this point and starts walking toward the throne.

 

Yubel/Jesse- Simple, I want to make Jaden suffer for what he did to me.

Sage- So why am I here?

Yubel/Jesse- You seem to harbor a great power and it could help me achieve my ultimate goal. And I also want to make your dear Jesse suffer. And I can make him suffer if he sees you suffering.

 

-Sage stops near Adrian’s duel disk that is lying on the floor.

 

Sage- Jesse?! What did he ever do to you?!

Yubel/Jesse(in Yubel’s voice)- He stopped the fun I was having with Jaden when he interrupted our little match. He shouldn’t have done that, then he would never have lost his body to me and his most valuable possession.

 

-Yubel/Jesse holds up a dueling deck. Sage senses the Rainbow Dragon’s power radiating from the deck and hears it call for help. Then, Sage hears another voice call out at the same time she hears the dragon’s roar.

 

Jesse’s voice- Sage… Can ya hear me?

Sage- Jesse!

Yubel/Jesse(in Jesse’s voice)- You hear him don’t you? Crying out, hoping that his sweet little girlfriend will come to help him. Though, it’s now my turn to ask questions: Can you do it? And will your love for him be enough of a strive to save him? Then again, you don’t really love him because you haven’t suffered enough the way he did.

Sage- What’s that supposed to mean?

Yubel/Jesse- To make this simple, I mean that when both people in a special relationship with one another suffer, it means they truly love each other. It’s why I’ve been having Jaden suffer. To make sure that he experiences my love for him. Jaden loves me so he had me suffer by banishing me into space. And I’m going to make sure he suffers the way I did during my exile! So, if Jesse suffered enough pain before I sealed him away, I’ll make sure you suffer the same way he did.

Sage- That’s not what love is! I will prove to you what true love is and how strong my love for Jesse is. And that it’ll help me save him and defeat you, Yubel!

Yubel/Jesse- (sniggers) We’ll see about that now won’t we?

 

Yubel/Jesse gets up and starts descending the stairs that light up and walks opposite Sage and starts his duel disk. Sage lets go of Shadow and takes her deck out of the pouch on her belt and inserts it into her duel disk before starting it up. She is glaring at Yubel/Jesse all the while. Shadow also disappears, giving the hint that she is leaving.

 

Yubel/Jesse- You seem determined. But, hoping for a miracle won’t do you any good. Jesse’s soul has been sealed away and he will never be free again. Now let’s get this duel over with. I just spent the whole time you were asleep dueling that loser Adrian to replenish my energy and I was going to save it for Jaden. But, since you’re now awake, I think taking power from you will be even more energizing. Also, if you manage to win I’ll release Jesse and let the both of you leave.

Sage- Then, let’s go!

They each draw 5 cards from their decks and put them in their left hands.

Yubel/Jesse and Sage- GAME ON!

Life Points: Yubel/Jesse: 4000, Sage: 4000

 

A long way below the throne room, Jaden, Crowler, Syrus, Ojama Yellow, and Winged Kuriboh are riding the elevator on the top floor talking about Jaden plans to save Jesse and Sage since now they both have fallen into Yubel’s clutches. Jaden keeps staring up at the hole in the ceiling where he thinks Yubel/Jesse has Sage.

 

Jaden- I hope Sage is ok.

Syrus- She’ll be fine Jaden. After all, she managed to heal herself after all those Survival Duels she went through and she was out of the nurse’s office in a matter of minutes.

Ojama Yellow- Still, you saw what Yubel did to the Crystal Beasts turning them into scary Advanced Crystal Beasts. She could probably make Sage their next snack or something! (The little mutant freak starts shaking in fear at the thought.)

Winged Kuriboh squeaks though Jaden seems to agree with it and relays the message.

Jaden- Yeah, Ojama Yellow, way to look on the positive side.

Crowler- Well, that little alien-thing has a point, what if Yubel has done something terrible to Sage?

Jaden- We’ll just have to hope she’s ok. After all, from down here, we can’t do anything to help her. Though, I wish this slow elevator would hurry up and get to the top already.

 

Back at the throne room:

 

Yubel/Jesse takes the first move. LP- 4000

Yubel/Jesse- I hope you’re ready little girl. Draws. (Sage is still glaring at him.) Alright, I play the Field Spell, Advanced Dark.

-Sage is shocked that Advanced Dark was played on Yubel/Jesse’s first turn the second time that deck was used. And as the blue circle blows past her and sets itself up, she is thinking about how to get rid of it. Though, Yubel/Jesse seems to be onto her strategy.

Sage(in thought)- That’s incredible, the second time that card has been played on the very first turn of the duel. Though, little does Yubel know that I plan to blow Advanced Dark off the field come my turn with my own Field Spell, Dark Magic Sanctuary since it’s in my hand. Plus, I’ll give all of my Spellcasters a 300 point bonus and by simply tossing a card in my hand I can take any Spell card outta my deck and put it right in my hand.

Yubel/Jesse-(laughs) You’re thinking an awful lot about what’ll happen on your turn. Well, it’s not gonna work. I’m also gonna play the Spell Card, Field Barrier.

Sage- Say what?!

Yubel/Jesse- By the stunned look on your face and your exclamation, I take it you know what this card does.

(Sage groans at his comment.)

Yubel/Jesse- Field Barrier prevents you from destroying any Field Spells that are out and you can’t activate another one until this card gets destroyed. And now to play a monster, I summon Advanced Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger (1600/1000) in Attack Mode.

-Advanced Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger jumped out of a haze of dark wind as it was summoned.

Yubel/Jesse- I end my turn.

 

Sage now takes her turn. LP- 4000

Sage- That’s a pity, I expected ya to do more. Draws. Oh well, my move! (now in thought) I might not be able to play Dark Magic Sanctuary, but I can still keep up my defense against that Topaz Tiger.(she notices that Topaz Tiger is groaning in pain for some reason, and speaks out loud now) What are you doing to the Crystal Beasts, Yubel? Can’t you see that Topaz Tiger is in pain?

Yubel/Jesse(in Yubel’s voice)- Big deal. If your boyfriend’s monster is suffering, then I don’t really care. Though, I’ll tell you this. They’re suffering because he suffered. (switches back to Jesse’s voice) Now would you get on with your move?

Sage- Grrr. Fine. I summon Magician’s Valkyria (1600/1800) in Defense.

-Magician’s Valkyria rises elegantly from a green light and kneels on a large version of her card.

Sage- Then, I’ll toss down 2 face-downs and stop there.

Magician’s Valkyria- I’m worried Sage.

Sage- About what?

Valkyria- What if this duel ends up having Jesse’s body disappear? Then, he could be lost forever.

Yubel/Jesse- She’s right you know, Sage.

Sage- Just make your move!

Yubel/Jesse- Gladly!

 

Yubel/Jesse’s turn: LP- 4000

Yubel/Jesse- All right here goes! Draws. Topaz Tiger, attack her Magician’s Valkyria now! Topaz Fang Slicer! And when Topaz Tiger attacks a monster, he gets 400 more ATK.

Sage- Ya think that scares me? Because you’d be wrong. I play my face-down Magic Cylinder! Now your attack backfires to your Life Points! And since your Tiger’s strike was re-directed, it doesn’t have those extra 400 points anymore.

-Yubel/Jesse gets blasted by his own attack thanks to Sage’s Trap Card. And his Life Points drop to 2400. Then, he starts shaking in pain.

Yubel/Jesse- (laughs)(now speaks in Yubel’s voice) I’m amazed you could hurt the one you love like this, Sage.

Sage- I’m not hurting him!

Yubel/Jesse- Deny it if you must. But, you’re still feeling pain as you do this aren’t you?

Sage- Grrr.(thinking) What’s Yubel talking about? Jesse isn’t the one I’m dueling, it’s her. And, I would never hurt Jesse, I care about him too much but, why do I still feel a little guilty about what I’m doing? (back out loud) Now I’ll activate my other face-down. It’s the Spell Card, Magical Dimension. Now, by sacrificing my Valkyria, I can Special Summon a new Spellcaster from my hand. I choose this one, Dark Magician Girl!

-Sage’s closest and trusted friend, DMG(2000/1700) then appears in a bright pink light filled with bubbles making one of the big entrances she’s well-known for and gives her usual flirty wink.

DMG- Alright, Sage. I’m ready to show Yubel what happens when you mess with our friends!

Sage- You got it! But, my Spell doesn’t end there. Since I managed to summon my new monster perfectly, one of your monsters gets destroyed. And since you only have Topaz Tiger, I’ll choose him.

Yubel/Jesse(back in Jesse’s voice)- You of all people should know, when an Advanced Crystal Beast is destroyed, it goes to the Spell & Trap Zone instead of the graveyard. And I still didn’t even play a monster this turn. So, I’ll call out my Advanced Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus.

- The vile incarnation of the true Jesse’s beloved friend Sapphire Pegasus emerged in a haze of dark wind like Topaz Tiger.

Yubel/Jesse- And thanks to his special ability, I can take another Advanced Crystal Beast out of my deck. I choose Advanced Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle.

-Sage gasped as he held up the card of Jesse’s most trusted friend who he had nicknamed, Ruby.

Yubel/Jesse- I think your little boyfriend treasured this card the most next to his Rainbow Dragon. I believe he calls her, “Ruby” a lot. Anyway, I play Ruby’s effect. Go, Ruby Rampage! Now, Ruby Carbuncle frees itself and Topaz Tiger from my Spell & Trap Zone. They’ll also come out in Attack Mode.

-Advanced Crystal Beasts Topaz Tiger(1600/1000) and Ruby Carbuncle(300/300) then jump out of their crystal prisons and Yubel/Jesse smirks since he can see that all three monsters are groaning in pain.

Yubel/Jesse- I’ll throw 2 face-downs and that’s it.

DMG- I’m worried Sage, he’s got 3 Advanced Crystal Beast and I’m the only monster on your field.

Sage- Don’t worry Dark Magician Girl. I’ve got a plan.

DMG- Let’s just hope it works.

 

Sage’s turn: LP- 4000

Sage- All right, here I come! Draws. I summon another Magician’s Valkyria(1600/1800), this time in Attack Mode. And now, I’ll cast the Spell Card, Sage’s Stone! When Dark Magician Girl is out and this Spell is played my Dark Magician can automatically jump outta my deck!

-Sage, Yubel/Jesse, and all of their monsters look at the glowing blue light emerging from the floor as Dark Magician(2500/2100) joins the field.

DM- Yubel, seeing Sage suffer like the way you have made her is something I cannot forgive!

Yubel/Jesse- So, you did suffer a lot while your little boyfriend was missing. But, I already knew that.

Sage, Valkyria, DM, and DMG- Say What?!

Yubel/Jesse- I happened to look into your mind when you were asleep. I saw that you missed Jesse terribly. And you really wanted to see him again.

Sage(she starts crying at this point)- You don’t know how much I missed him. I wanted to see him again so badly. Jesse means the world to me Yubel.

Yubel/Jesse- Then, if he means so much to you prove it to me and defeat me.

Sage- Grrr. Fine, Magician’s Valkyria, attack Ruby Carbuncle with Mystic Scepter Blast! (thinking) I’m sorry Ruby.

Yubel/Jesse- Do you really think it makes a difference?

Sage- Huh?

Yubel/Jesse- I activate the effect of Advanced Dark, now by sending 1 Advanced Crystal Beast from my deck to the grave I can cancel out all Battle Damage for that attack. I’ll send my Emerald Turtle to the grave to cancel out your damage.

-A green light bursts out of Valkyria’s wand destroying Ruby as she turns into a crystal and goes to the Spell & Trap Zone.

Sage- Dark Magician Girl, attack Sapphire Pegasus with Dark Burning Attack!

Yubel/Jesse- I send my Amethyst Cat to the grave to cancel the damage!

-Pink light from DMG’s wand clears as Sapphire Pegasus joins Ruby in the Spell & Trap Zone.

Sage- Dark Magic Attack on Topaz Tiger, Dark Magician!

Yubel/Jesse- You’re not really helping yourself, with Advanced Dark, I send my Advanced Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle to the grave to cancel the damage again.

-The blue light that erupted from Dark Magician’s wand clears to reveal Topaz Tiger with the Sapphire and Ruby crystals.

Sage(thinking)- This isn’t good. He’s got 6 crystals ready. If Yubel puts Amber Mammoth on the field or sends it to the grave with the effect of Advanced Dark, I’m a goner because Rainbow Dark Dragon’s gonna get me.

-Yubel/Jesse starts laughing which snaps Sage out of her thoughts.

Yubel/Jesse- 1 crystal left. Then, you know what that means.

Sage- 1 face-down. Your move.

Yubel/Jesse- Let’s see how long you and your friends there last against the most powerful creature in Duel Monsters. You’re lucky though, I’m not holding the card yet, though that can easily change.(laughs)

Sage(in thought)- I don’t like the look of that smile.

 

Yubel/Jesse’s turn: LP- 2400

Yubel/Jesse- You have an impressive arsenal of monsters. But, do ya have the guts to use them is the question. Draws. I activate my face-down E-Force. And with its power, I’ll revive Topaz Tiger!

-Topaz Tiger jumps out of its crystal form for the second time.

Yubel/Jesse- Then, I’ll play Rare Value. When I’ve got 2 or more crystals in my Spell & Trap Zone, you pick 1 for me send to the grave and I draw 2 more cards. So, pick.

Sage- Fine. I pick Ruby Carbuncle.

-the Ruby gem disappears and Yubel/Jesse smirks at the cards he drew looking pleased.

Yubel/Jesse- I play the equip Spell, Crystal Release, now my Tiger gains an extra 800 points(Topaz Tiger, 2400 ATK). And I’m well aware that your Valkyria prevents me from attacking any of your other Spellcaster- Type monsters. And she’s the perfect target for my Tiger. Topaz Tiger, attack her Magician’s Valkyria now with Topaz Fang Slicer! And don’t forget that he gains another 400 ATK since he’s attacking one of your monsters. (Topaz Tiger, 2800 ATK)

-Magician’s Valkyria screams in pain as Topaz Tiger attacks her and gets destroyed.

-Sage screams as her friend is destroyed and her Life Points drop to 2800. After damage, she drops to her knees.

Yubel/Jesse- Is that the best you can do? I expected more.

Sage- You don’t know what I can do!

Yubel/Jesse- Very well, if you want to continue your suffering, I’ll put you out of your misery once I manage to summon something you should be all-to-familiar with. I end my turn.

 

Sage’s turn: LP- 2800

Sage(thinking)- Alright, he could draw either of the 2 remaining cards he needs in any of his next turns. I gotta find a way to get rid of those Advanced Crystal Beasts, and fast! (now out loud) Here I come! Draws. Yes! I activate the equip Spell, Magic Formula!

-Yubel/Jesse looks stunned as he sees Sage’s miraculous draw.

Sage- This gives either my Dark Magician or my Dark Magician Girl an additional 700 points. I’ll give it to Dark Magician Girl! (DMG, 2700 ATK) All right Dark Magician Girl, attack Topaz Tiger with Magical Orb Attack!

Yubel/Jesse- I send Advanced Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth to the grave to cancel out the damage! Though, my Tiger re-joins my Pegasus in the Spell & Trap Zone.

-Topaz Tiger becomes a topaz crystal again.

Sage- Alright Yubel, time to let Jesse go! Dark Magician, attack his Life Points directly with Dark Magic Attack!

Yubel/Jesse- Nice Try.

Sage- Say what?

 

Part 2:

 

Yubel/Jesse- I activate my face-down, Rainbow Life. Now by sending the G-Force card in my hand to the grave, I can cancel all the damage for this turn and I gain Life Points equal to what I would have lost. Since you attacked me directly with Dark Magician and he has 2500 ATK, I get that many Life Points.

-Rainbow light erupts from the ground as Yubel/Jesse regains 2500 LP. Now, he has 4900 LP.

Sage- My turn’s over.

Yubel/Jesse- This duel will be over soon enough also.(starts laughing)

Sage- Why are you doing this to me?

Yubel/Jesse- Huh?

Sage(starting to cry)- Why are you torturing me like this? It’s Jaden that you want, why can’t you leave Jesse and me out of it? We have nothing to do with your problems with Jaden!

-Yubel/Jesse looks down and smirks as if he thinks her comment is pointless.

Yubel/Jesse- You and Jesse actually have a lot to do with this. Jesse interrupted my fun with Jaden and you and Jesse have a special bond, that’s why you’re involved. I want to make him suffer for getting in my way at getting my vengeance against Jaden. Torturing you will be the best way to torture him. (now speaking in Yubel’s voice) Your little boyfriend suffered a lot too. And it was all to do with you.

Sage- Me? But, why?

Yubel/Jesse- Simple, I took a little look into his mind the way I did with you while you were sleeping. You see, I dueled him and it cost him dearly. But, during the match, the only thing he could think about was seeing you again. That was all he would talk about as well.

Sage- So, he cares about me that much?(a small smile spread across her face as she said it)

Yubel/Jesse- In your way of putting it, yes. He said that as soon as he defeated me, he was going to find a way back home so he could be with you again. Of course,(he smirks now) I took advantage of his so-called love for you. I tried to trick him with fake illusions of you while I tried to make a deal with him. The illusions were to try and get him to agree to my charges.

Sage- What was the deal?

Yubel/Jesse(switching back to Jesse’s voice)- If he helped me get the Super Polymerization card, I would send him back to your world so he could be with you again. However, he said no. He said that though he loved you very much, he would never help me for anything, even to be with you again. I take it that makes you upset?

Sage- No. It doesn’t

Yubel/Jesse- Say what?

Sage- I understand that he may have wanted to be with me again. But, he did what was right rather than just taking an easy path. By telling me that, I think it means he truly loves me.

Yubel/Jesse- Why would you say that?

Sage- He saved the whole school by making his sacrifice and staying behind, and he may have wanted to come home. But, he would never help you get what you want just to be with me. He said he loved me before he left, and that he would always love me and I will fight to defend that love. I love Jesse with all my heart. And I want to be the one who saves him now to prove it!

Yubel/Jesse- Keep hoping and those hopes will eventually crumble. Though, I will make sure to see if you really do love him, by seeing that you suffer for his sake. And, as I recall, it’s my move.

 

Yubel/Jesse’s turn: LP- 4900

Yubel/Jesse(thinking in Yubel’s voice)- Let’s see how this little girl reacts when she sees how I’ve taken care of her boyfriend. Draws. I play 2 face-downs and end my turn.

 

Sage’s turn: LP- 2800

Sage- Alright, let’s see. Draws. I summon my pal Card Excluder in Attack Mode!

-A cute little green-haired mini-version of Dark Magician Girl popped up and her jump caused her hat to fall off.

Sage- And this little girl’s got a pretty cool trick of her own. You see, once per turn, I can remove 1 of the cards in your grave from the game. Looks like I won’t have to worry about Rainbow Dark Dragon after all. Because, I’m gonna remove Advanced Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle from your grave.

Yubel/Jesse- You’d like to think that, wouldn’t you?

Sage- What do ya mean?

Yubel/Jesse- I play my face-down, the Trap Card, Zero Hole. This negates the summon of your Card Excluder and destroys her.

-Card Excluder grunts in pain as she gets destroyed.

Sage- Shoot. But, you’ve forgotten I’ve still got Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl. And they have more than enough ATK to take you down Yubel! Dark Magician, Direct Attack!

-Dark Magician starts to fire his blast and the attack would’ve made contact but…

Yubel/Jesse- I play my face-down, Rainbow Path so by sending my Topaz Tiger to the grave, I’ll negate your attack. And now, I can add a “special” card to my hand. Guess which one it is, Sage.

Sage- I’d rather not. So, I’ll switch Dark Magician Girl to Defense Mode (DMG kneels as a big version of her card appears underneath her) and end my turn.

 

Yubel/Jesse’s turn: LP- 4900

Yubel/Jesse- It’s the end for you, Sage! Draws. Since all 7 Advanced Crystal Beasts are on my field and in my grave, now I can Special Summon the most powerful creature to have ever been brought into the game of Duel Monsters!

-He holds up the card in his hand and shouts, “I Special Summon the almighty Rainbow Dark Dragon!” The dragon emerges onto the field in a huge gust of dark wind and stares at Sage as if expecting her to do some thing. Then, she hears Jesse’s voice again but Yubel/Jesse isn’t speaking.

Jesse’s voice- Sage… Please listen, ya gotta help the Crystal Beasts.

-Sage then realized that the voice was coming inside the mind of the dragon. She stared hard into its eyes and saw him lying there, asleep. Jesse’s soul had been sealed within the mind of the Rainbow Dark Dragon! Then, she starts shouting, hoping that he can hear her.

Sage- Jesse! Please, can’t you hear me? I’m here to help you! Please answer me! Jesse!

Yubel/Jesse- He can’t hear you if he’s sleeping.

Sage- How could you do this to him?

Yubel/Jesse- He was a nuisance that needed to be taken care of and I made sure to find a way so that he wouldn’t bother me again. And the only way… was to seal him inside of his favorite and most powerful monster.(starts laughing again)

Sage(she starts crying again)- Jesse! No matter what I’ll keep fighting to save you, and I won’t give up until my last Life Point is gone! Jesse please answer me!

 

While this is going on, let’s check back in with Jaden and the gang(or what’s left of it). They’re about 5/8 of the way up the elevator now and they hear Sage yelling Jesse’s name:

Jaden- Do you guys hear that?

Syrus- It sounds like Sage.

Crowler- Of course it’s her you Slifer…oh, whoops.

Jaden- Were you gonna call him a ‘Slifer Slacker’?

Crowler- Almost forgot he wasn’t in Slifer anymore. I guess it was just a force of habit.

Jaden- Either way, she keeps screaming Jesse’s name. I hope she’s alright up there.

Winged Kuriboh squeaks with concern about Sage.

 

Back to the duel:

 

Yubel/Jesse- Seeing you sobbing like that is amusing. But, you’ll have plenty of time to cry over your lost boyfriend once I reunite you both as soon as I’m done with you! Rainbow Dark Dragon, attack her Dark Magician with Rainbow Reflection!

-Sage regains her senses and watches the dragon prepare to attack.

Sage- I was hoping you’d do that. Here’s my face-down!

-Sage’s Trap flips over to reveal her Dark Magic Curse Trap card.

Sage- Go, Dark Magic Curse! When one of your monsters attacks, this Trap can activate, canceling it out and destroying your monster!

Yubel/Jesse- Did you forget about Rainbow Dark Dragon’s special ability? By sending 1 Advanced Crystal Beast from my Spell & Trap Zone to the grave, I can negate my monster’s destruction. So basically, your Trap was just canceled out. Destroy Dark Magician, Rainbow Dark Dragon!

-Dark Magician screams as he is destroyed. Then, the force of the blast knocks Sage into the barrier that Advanced Dark and Field Barrier created. Sage screams also as her Life Points drop down to 1300.

DMG- Sage! Are you ok?

-Sage struggles to get up but answers, “I’m fine. Don’t worry about it.”

Yubel/Jesse- By the looks of you, no you’re not.

Sage- Shut it! Besides, that wasn’t really the smartest move. Since Dark Magician is now in my grave, Dark Magician Girl’s ATK now rises by 300 points. (DMG, 3000)

Yubel/Jesse- Whatever, her power still isn’t a match for Rainbow Dark Dragon’s. I’ll finish off you both in a flash next round. 1 face-down and I end my turn.

Sage (thinking)- I really hoped that I would be able to win before Rainbow Dark Dragon was summoned. But, now I don’t think I can. And now, I’ve finally found Jesse. I promise, I’ll do whatever I can to save you.

 

Sage’s turn: LP- 1300

Sage- Here I come, Yubel! Draws. I’m gonna activate the Spell, Magical Treasure. Now, since I have a Spellcaster on my side of the field, I can take 3 cards from my grave and shuffle them into my deck. then, I can draw 2 new ones from my deck.

-Sage picks her Sage’s Stone, Magical Dimension, and Magic Cylinder cards then shuffles them back into her deck and she draws 2 cards.

Sage- Then, I’ll send this 3rd Magician’s Valkyria from my hand to the grave to draw more cards for every Spell and Trap you have out, thanks to Magical Treasure’s other effect. I count that face-down, Advanced Dark, and Field Barrier. So, I draw another 3 cards. Now, I’ll sacrifice my Dark Magician Girl for Special Summon in her place, my Dark Enchantress(2000/1700) in Defense Mode.

-A monster that looked like DMG in a more decorated version of DMG’s outfit appeared and knelt down on her card as she stared at Yubel/Jesse with great dislike.

Dark Enchantress- Sage, are you sure evolving my power was such a good idea? After all, I only gained a few powers. And not that many can help us. (Dark Enchantress is an upgraded version of DMG which why she’s talking about evolving.)

Sage- Don’t worry about it. You’re fine and I’ll do what I can to protect you. Oh yeah, since Magic Formula went to the grave, I gain an extra 1000 LP. (A pink light glows around Sage as her LP increases to 2300.)

Yubel/Jesse- So, you got a Life Point boost. But, your monster isn’t that much stronger than your last monster. What can she do?

Sage- Well, for one she’s got some awesome powers. Though, she can only be summoned by sacrificing Dark Magician Girl. First, she has Dark Magician Girl’s original power, so since Dark Magician’s still in the grave, she gains 300ATK. (Dark Enchantress, 2300 ATK). And, if I need to use a card that requires Dark Magician Girl on the field, she fits the requirements. And, my favorite effect of her’s is that each turn during my Standby Phase, you lose 400 LP for all the Spellcasters in my grave. And since I’ve got 6 Spellcasters taking a snooze in my grave, you’ll lose 2400 Life Points on my next turn.

Yubel/Jesse- Not if I destroy her first.

Sage- We’ll see about that. I play 2 face-downs. That’s all she wrote.

 

Yubel/Jesse’s turn: LP- 4900

Yubel/Jesse/ That Enchantress won’t do you any good. I’ll wipe her out. Then, I’m coming right for your Life Points. Draws. Rainbow Dark Dragon, wipe out her Dark Enchantress now!

-The dragon attacks Sage and Dark Enchantress and a big explosion goes off. When the smoke clears… Dark Enchantress is still on the field and Sage is standing as a blue light is glowing around her and her LP jumps up to 6300! She stops glowing and smiles at Yubel/Jesse while he scowls at her.

Yubel/Jesse- Unbelievable! How did you get so many Life Points?

Sage- Simple. I played my face-down. (She points to a Draining Shield card that is standing face-up.) Thanks to your attack I gained an extra amount of Life Points equal to the ATK of your monster and my trap also canceled out your attack and protected my monster and me. So, thanks for the boost.

Yubel/Jesse- Impressive, but you won’t last much longer. Rainbow Dark Dragon has nearly twice as many ATK as your monster does. I’ll just wait until my next turn to finish you off. Go ahead.

 

Sage’s turn: LP- 6300

Sage- As you wish! Draws. And like I told ya on my last turn, since my Dark Enchantress is on the field and it’s my Standby Phase, you lose 2400 Life Points.

-A pink light glows around Dark Enchantress and a red light glows around Yubel/Jesse as he grunts in pain and takes 2400 points of damage dropping him to 2500.

Sage- Now, it’s time to bring out one of my best monsters! I summon my buddy, Shadow otherwise known as Dark Petit Angel(400/100)!

Yubel/Jesse- (laughs) That monster couldn’t even try and make a dent in my Life Points, it’s way to weak.

Sage- Shadow may be small, but, ya know what they say, big things come in small packages! And this is really big, because when Shadow shows up on the field, I can take a Ritual of the Dark Angels Spell card from my deck and put it right in my hand.(She holds up the card for Yubel/Jesse to look at.) and, now I’ll play it! Go, Ritual of the Dark Angels! Now, I’ll sacrifice Shadow and my Dark Enchantress in order to summon my Dark Angel Mystica! (2600/1900)

-A girl with blue skin in a sort of DMG-like outfit appears on the field frowning at Yubel/Jesse.

Sage- Are you ready, Mystica?

Mystica- More than ever.

Yubel/Jesse- She’s not strong enough to take down my Rainbow Dark Dragon either.

Sage- Well, not yet she isn’t.

Yubel/Jesse- What’s that supposed to mean?

Sage- Mystica’s special power allows her to gain an extra 400 ATK for every Spellcaster on the field and in the grave, that means that she gets and extra 3200 points since she gets a boost from herself!

-Mystica’s body glows as her ATK rises from 2600 to 5800.

Yubel/Jesse- But, that’s enough…

Sage- …to take you down! Mystica, attack Rainbow Dark Dragon with Angel Fury Burst! Get ready to set Jesse free, because it’s game over, Yubel!

Yubel/Jesse- You would think that.

Sage- Huh?

Yubel/Jesse- Did you forget about that face-down?

-He reveals his Crystal Counter trap card. Sage gasps.

Yubel/Jesse- Now, it’s really game over! Because although this card will send my Field Barrier to the grave, I can now put 5 new Advanced Crystal Beasts in my Spell & Trap Zone. And then I’ll play Rainbow Dark Dragon’s effect, by sending all of these Crystals to the grave my dragon gains an extra 1000 points for each one.

-5 crystals reappear, Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire, Topaz and Amber. All the crystals are then sent back to the grave and Rainbow Dark Dragon receives 5000 more ATK (Rainbow Dark Dragon, 9000 ATK).

Sage- Wait, Mystica!

-But, Mystica doesn’t stop her attack. Her attack makes contact with Rainbow Dark Dragon and she gets destroyed. Sage gets knocked to 3100 LP and falls to her knees.

Sage- No, my best monster is gone.

Yubel/Jesse- And your Life Points are about to join her.

 

Yubel/Jesse’s turn: LP- 2500

Yubel/Jesse- It’s the end for you, Sage. Draws. Rainbow Dark Dragon, attack her Life Points directly with Rainbow Reflection!

-Rainbow Dark Dragon’s attacks Sage but, DMG appears and pushes her out of the way. Though, Sage goes down to 0 LP as they hit the floor.

 

-Yubel/Jesse says that he wins, and part of Sage’s energy flows over to him. Then, he walks back up to the throne to wait for Jaden. And DMG speaks to Sage.

DMG- I’m sorry, Sage.

Sage- For what?

DMG- We couldn’t win. Jesse is still trapped.

Sage- I know I couldn’t do it. But, don’t worry. I know Jaden can do it.

-Then, Sage hears Jesse’s voice speak to her again.

Jesse’s voice- Sage… are you ok?

-Sage sees a dark area, which happens to be the inside of her mind. She doesn’t have a dark heart it’s just a dark space.

Sage(answering in her mind)-Jesse, I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you.

Jesse- It’s ok. You tried your best.

Sage- But, I’ll never see you again. I lost the duel, so I’ll disappear like everyone else.

-Now Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and the rest of Sage’s monsters appear.

DM- No, Sage. You won’t go to where your other friends are.

Sage- But…

-Then, a bright blue light appears and Jesse comes out of it.

Sage- Jesse!

Jesse- Dark Magician is right, Sage. Your powers are protecting you so,(he takes her hand in his) you won’t disappear. Plus, Dark Magician Girl pushed ya outta the way. You’re safe. But, you should know, Yubel was right. She did try to get me to help her and in exchange she would send me home. I wanted to go home really badly to see you again. But, I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t endanger the entire universe just to be with you.

Sage- I understand. Jesse, (she hugs him) I think you made the right choice to do that rather than help Yubel.

Jesse- You do? (Sage nods) I thought you would be upset that I could’ve had a chance to come home and I didn’t take it.

Sage- Jesse, I love you so much. You’re kind, caring, talented, brave, and you care about your family, the Crystal Beasts, the most in the world. I can understand why you did what you did.

Jesse- But, Sage you mean the whole world to me. Aren’t you a little upset? (she shakes her head) I hope that I can find a way outta this mess and come back to you.

Sage- Oh… Jesse.

-Sage stared right into Jesse’s bright green eyes and he stared into her dark green ones. After a second, Sage’s monsters disappeared and Sage kissed Jesse and he kissed her back. Then, Jesse backed away.

Jesse- I know you tried your hardest Sage, but now, you’ve gotta tell Jaden that he’s really the only one who can help me. I hoped you might be able to, but you couldn’t. So, I now thin that Jaden is the only one who could probably do it. But, he has to use a special card in order to help me outta this mess for certain.

Sage- I think I know what card you’re talking about. I’ll relay the message to Jaden.

Jesse- Sage, if that card does what it needs to, then I’ll be free and we’ll be together again for real. Good-bye, for now.(he disappears in a bright light)

Sage- Jesse! (now, she regains consciousness)

 

-Yubel/Jesse is sitting on the large throne again and is watching Sage get up. She’s struggling so she just looks at him.

Yubel/Jesse(switches to Yubel’s voice)- Those foolish monsters and that boyfriend of yours are in over their heads. They can’t help you. Though, since my attack didn’t hit you courtesy of that pesky magician of yours you won’t go join your other friends.

Sage- I know I won’t disappear like Chazz and the others, but you’re wrong, Yubel. They helped me more than they ever did before and it means a lot to me. (DMG smiles at Sage)

Yubel/Jesse- Say whatever you like but, still… you did prove that you really love Jesse as much as he loves you. You suffered as much as he did so, you’ve proved to me that you really do love him. And also, I must thank you for giving me a little bit of your power, it’ll be useful when I take down Jaden. (starts laughing again and Sage scowls)

-Sage struggles to get up but, DMG helps her. Meanwhile Jaden is now nearly at the top.

Effect: This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, “Ritual of the Dark Angels”. Increase the ATK of this card by 400 points for each Spellcaster-Type monster on your side of the field and in your Graveyard. This card inflicts Piercing Damage.

yeah, but there's another site that has a lot of stuff like this. re-writes of the series. there was one where there's 3 spiits that show up in the 3rd season as humans and show their true forms in the dark world and one of them is the one who saves Jesse instead of Jaden.

As for the story itself, I may not be a fan of the format and the way everything is clustered together, but I did enjoy the read, it flowed decently, and the original character was rather interesting. Pretty good for a first try.

 

-Plot: 6/10 (Didn't really enjoy the whole backstory, tbh)

-Characters: 8.5/10 (Just the OC, who was pretty good)

-Grammar / Syntax / Structure: 6.5/10 (Format flaws, typoes, grammar errors etc, but not too bad)

-Dueling: 9/10 (Enjoyed it)

-Description: 6.5/10 (It generally... lacked it, only a few words giving insight into places etc. But still, it's passable as a whole)

 

-Overall: 7.3 (Not bad at all, especially for a first try)
