Zextra
Yeah...The generation IV games won't allow Gen. V Pokemon/moves... It'll be similar to the "Time machine" trade room back in generation II, to trade Pokemon from Gold/Silver/Crystal to Blue/Red/Yellow
Myst
I was looking forward to that Tell me more about the "Time Machine"... It sounds... interesting
Zextra
You see, back when they made Gold, Silver, and Crystal, they implementedthe Time Machine as a way to trade back and forth between Generation I and Generation II. In a sense, it was a regular trading room, but it restricted you from bringing in any Gen II Pokemon or any Pokemon with Gen II moves.
Myst
"to trade Pokemon from Gold/Silver/Crystal to Blue/Red/Yellow" / "but it restricted you from bringing in any Gen II Pokemon" - I thought you're allowed to transfer Gen II Pokemon into the Gen I via Time Machine... Zextra
The Time Machine was meant to allow Gen I Pokemon into Gen II games, since most of the Gen I Pokemon were unobtainable in G/S/C. It wasn't used the other way around, since R/B/Y had no data for the future games... It's the same with Gen IV and Gen V - the Gen IV games have no data on Gen V Pokemon. Basically: "You can go forwards, but not backwards"
Dementuo
It makes sense, though. If you went back in time, and killed yourself before you went back in time, then you wouldn't be able to go back in time, which would cause you to never get killed by yourself, so you COULD go back in time to kill yourself... You know how it goes. But the programming of past games doesn't include the programming of future generations, unless it gets re-made with that programming. That's why whenever you go into the Underground in Platinum, then look at your Platinum sprite through Diamond or Pearl, your sprite looks like the D/P one instead. Hence why "You can only ever go forwards." And a word of advice. If you're always looking over your shoulder to see who's coming after you, then you can't see where you're running. Myst
Nintendo could actually put information on Pokemon so if you transfer a Gen V Pokemon to Gen IV or anything and it will automatically put information because the information is stored in the Gen V Pokemon if you know what I mean.
Dementuo
That wouldn't work because the programming of previous games doesn't recognize the new Pokèmon, doesn't have any sprites or animations for them, and doesn't have Pokédex info for them. That would basically result in a crash.
Kelp'
They could modify gen 4 games and redistribute them, but there's nothing they could do about the millions of copies that are already out there.

Myst
Lol, alright, topic changed to "Mythical Creatures". Well let's see... Goblins and Orks are different species, demons hate angels, Medusa's snake dies if her head is cut off IMO, half of the Dragon Types in myth cannot fly and... zombies come from viruses, not graveyard. Maybe this isn't a good idea to change the topic to this but that's the only info I got of mythical creatures.

Myst
Tell me more about Yokai and stuff... Lemme say da gods, Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hercules, that's the ones I know. Maybe Perceus or Perseus, I don't know how to spell it. I only know Medusa and Hydras as monsters. I kept on getting Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia SOT mixed up.
Zextra
Well, I'm sure you know of at least one Yokai... The Nine-Tailed Fox, which is present in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean mythology... Some things based off of these are: • Ninetails (wow...really?) • The Kyuubi (from Naruto) • Nine-Tailed Fox (the card)
Myst
Ohhh... so that's a Yokai, I don't watch Naruto. Everyone's addicted to it so I don't like it. Bleach and InuYasha is more appealing. Let's talk about Anime and Manga as the next topic :
Zextra
A Yokai just means a monster/spirit from Japanese mythology. So...who's your favorite character in Bleach? Personally, I favor Hitsugaya and Gin.
Myst
Byakuya, I only just finished episode 9 *giggles. Since some people likes Byakuya, I'll make him my fave.
Dementuo
I believe that they also had a nine-tails present in Digimon. I could be wrong, though. I haven't watched Digimon in a very long time.
