Twig
Start your engines! Ready...set...GO! LET THE FINAL ROUND BEGIN!
Mission: Show me the best writing skills through roleplaying.
Intro: -/5 (The first post is pretty important in my opinion.) Conclusion: -/5 (The last post is just as important.) Character Development: -/10 (How did you show the personalities, appearances, and changes in your character as the roleplay went on?) Plot Interpretation: -/10 (Did you just run around shooting cannibals with nanobots and hope you succeed in the mission? Did you make any subplots? Did you just messed around? Did you make the plot even more interesting or made more boring?) Following Rules: -/10 (This should be an easy 10. That means no God-modding, power-playing, and meta-gaming. And of course, the advance clause must be followed.) Overall: -/10 (How's your writing skills?)

1. Ba'al 2. BrokenHeart15 3. Jake the Sage 4. Otaku-sama 5. Hellequin 6. §îl¥€®

1. No Godmodding, Powerplaying, or Metagaming. You should know not to do this even if this isn't on the list. 2. Advance Clause means four lines filled with text. I actually expect more lines from you guys. 3. It's a team game. Unless you turn into a cannibal, there is no reason to go around team-killing just because you're insane. They wouldn't have put you in Unit 818 if they knew you were insane. 4. Stay Active. If you're not posting, I'll assume you're character is just standing there, frozen. 5. Have fun and best of luck!

Twig
A small jet black drop ship hovered over the empty streets of a ghost town once known as Austin, Texas. Once the thriving capital city of Texas, Austin quickly became cannibal city. Austin had a population of at least 800,000 before the Ambrosia Gene. When the gene was distributed, the city grew even bigger, increasing it's population to 4,000,000 in just a few years. It was no surprise that the food source would quickly dwindle. Soon, food riots released chaos into the city. A few months after that, the cannibalism started. Then, the rest was history. The drop ship made it's way to the safest landing spot, which was a few miles from Austin. Mission #52 Codename: Labinnac Location: Austin, Texas Time: 800 Objective: Infiltration and Distribution Alpha: Regina Caine, Jacques Corchevsky, Samuel Morris, 9 Privates Bravo: Hisashi Satoshi, Dmitri Sylchenko, Owen Dace, 9 Privates Lieutenant Regina Caine is to lead Alpha to explore the current state of the city while also distributing nanobots. Once done, help out Bravo. Lieutenant Hisashi Satoshi is to lead Bravo to find survivors and cannibals who have transformed by nanobots to the ship. Try to transform as many cannibals as you can instead of killing them, so kill only in emergencies. Don't overestimate yourselves, so kill if you need to. Warnings: Reports say several cannibals have guns and some cannibals look like regular people. Skyscrapers are common shelters for cannibals. Expect them to jump from the windows. OOC: The eighteen extra privates are only to be controlled with simple commands (Example: Private jumped, ran to this place, got tackled by cannibal.) Do not make it seem like their your secondary character. The drop ship door slid open, and the soldiers prepared to dive into a jungle of cannibals. The Warden
Jacques exited the drop ship, his eyes scanning the area for cannibals. The bright sunlight was harsh, but it was thankfully reduced by his visor. The gun was slightly warm in the metallic hands, not that he knew that. He scuffed part of the ground, loose duest scattered from it. 'So, zis is vhat the great American culture haz created. Ghost townz vith nothing but man hungry cannibalz and their liveztock, tethered to ztakez or let free range in order to grow fat and lazy' he said in a dsigusted tone over the comm system, his accent noticeable even through that. 'Let'z juzt get thiz over vith, the ztench of decay is zeeping through my helmet' he added. He raised his gun to check the sight for about the fourth time today. Otaku-sama
Dmitri jumped from the drop ship, forgoing the rope to take a much faster way down. He landed on his feet, which were forced into a crouching position from the force of the impact. The loud thud of the impact was immediately followed by a small cloud of dust. Dmitri got up and brushed the dust off himself casually, as if he had not noticed he had dropped from a significant height, while at the same time inspecting his impact crater. "Heh, not too bad" he mumbled to himself. As he took out his gun and checked his equipment, he started to feel the morning sun starting to beat down on him. He was not used to such heat, but he has been through worse and decided against griping about it. However, the urge to complain about the mission at hand was much greater. His usual grenades for his under mounted grenade launcher were replaced with syringe slugs, designed to administer nanobots through the toughest of cannibal hide. Also, his usual stock of high explosives has been reduced to two measly breaching packs. He simply took a deep draw of his cigarette. Over the intercom, he heard the Frenchman starting a tirade about how much America has fallen or some conceited crap a proud Frenchman would say to demean any country that is not France. "Oh, listen to the Frenchman being so proud of his country. France is in same s*** as America, but at least American cannibals don't stink as bad," Dmitri chuckled back through the last bit of his cigarette before spitting the butt out and stomping on it. He then took a small flask from a compartment on his armour where grenades were usually kept. He took a long swig of it before returning it to the compartment. He then walked a little distance away from the drop site to scout for any wandering cannibals nearby.
Quiksilver
"Come now, guys, are we really fighting over which country is the least cannibalized?" A voice came from behind the two soldiers, deep and rumbling. A large, African American man lazily extricated himself from the helicopter, dropping from the rope with a grunt. He landed right in between Jacques and Dmitri with a loud thud, the ground beneath his feet protesting loudly to his arrival. Large clouds of dust were sent wheeling into the air at his arrival, and thus Samuel Morris spent a several seconds coughing before he finally spoke again. "Don't we all know that most of the world is as much as a hellhole as this place?" He said, looking between Dmitri and Jacques meaningfully. "Try to tell me I'm wrong. Now then, what do you think will be the best place to disperse the nanobots?" Sam asked, changing the subject swiftly. He squinted off into the distance, where the city of Austin. Texas, could be seen looming like a gigantic spider, ready to strike- or at least, that was how Sam saw it. His hand tightened on his rifle, instinctively, his memory thrusting back to that horrible day in Paris...so many months ago. For a second, Sam could see the face of his wife, smiling and happy...then the next, a cannibal's face, pale, wild, missing skin, appeared. Sam shook his head and breathed heavily for a second. Trying to get his mind off this, Sam concentrated fiercely on the broken-down skyscrapers of the once-proud city, and then moved onto the equally destroyed smaller houses, trying to figure out where best place for dispersion. "Maybe he could do the Austonian, it's the tallest building in Austin..." Sam said thoughtfully. "...but it might be too big. I dunno. Well, I guess this is for Reg to decide, right?..." Aesirson
Regina slid down the rope and quietly landed on the ground behind the three men. Even though she was tall for a woman, she still looked very short in comparission to the armored soldiers. She herself was only wearing a light jumpsuit to better suit her speciality, to kill enemies at range. She had however exchanged the bullets in her sniper rifle with darts filled with a paralyzing poison and nanobots so that she would, hopefully, cure any cannibal that came in the way of her aim, instead of killing them. She had also brought a hand gun and a couple of explosives in case the cannibals would get to close. Of course she had also brought a package of nanobots, since the whole operation would be meanngless without them. "Okay guys." She said and looked at the city in the distance. "Our first priority is to distribte the bots, but if any of you die under my command I will make sure that you regret it!" She smiled. She had a tendency to do that, even in the most dire situations. "Anyway. I had a plan, but leaders aren't true leaders if they doesn't ask their comrades for suggestions. I was thinking that if the water supply network is still somewhat intact, we could place the nanobots in there. This would give them access to the majority of the city without any interference from our more or less sane friends."
The Warden
Jacques ignored Dmitri's comment, you'd have to be pretty dense to mistake Russian for French. 'The cannibalz enjoy thoze heightz Zamual; trying to disperze the nanobotz from the Auztonian vould be like zling zhoting rocks at a hornetz nezt, and theze hornetz are by far more deadly' he responded. He was scanning the area for movement, no doubt some of the cannibals would have seen the dropship. 'The vater zupply could vork captain, but, I fear I may be pezzizmiztic here. No doubt zuch a valuable pozition would be heavily guarded, we vould have to go through quite a few of the cannibalz to get there' he replied. 'Although, in a hell hole like thiz you would have to go through quite a few cannibalz just to valk five feet' he added. His left arm began to spasm a little, but he gave it a thump for it to settle down. 'I knew they hadn't fixed that' he sighed.
Jake the Sage
"Oh, listen to the Frenchman being so proud of his country . . . France is in same sh*t as America! But at least American cannibals don't stink as bad," one of Hisashi's commrades said in response to another one complaining about the current mission. Completely covered in his outrageous battle armor Hisashi looked around as if he was a tourist, not even his gun had been loaded yet, and was holding an old map of Austin that was long outdated. "Come on guys . . . are we really fighting over which country is the least cannibalized?" in response to the two a voice came over the intercom as the only remaining black person in the world, Sam, or at least that is what Hisashi beleived as he hadn't seen another in quite a while . . . and that guy had been eaten by cannibals. Laughing at himself Hisashi turned around before setting a foot on a broken steel beam and snapped his fingers, his grin plainly visable through the helmet as he spoke, "Hey now if we're having a contest of 'which country has the least man eating cannibals' then I have to say . . . heheh . . . MY home country wins hands down. Not a brain muncher in sight for the last ten days or so." "At least not that I can remember seeing that is," he muttered to himself while his teammates carried on without paying him any attention. The conversation carried onto where would be the best location to disperse the nanobots for maximum effeciency, but Hiashi hardly paid attention to that part of the conversation. Unlike the others who where carrying nanobot stingers and a few back up weapons in case things got really hairy, 'Like my uncle rob', Hiashi was sporting a complete armory with a single goal in mind- blowing any freakbags who came within twenty six feet . . . meters . . . miles . . . inches? Ah hell, Hisashi didn't know how to measure distances, and he didn't care how far they where because the moment he saw them he was going to splatter their brains all over the cracked cement road, "You know normally that'd get me arrested back in the day . . . I LOVE this new era ^o^" "Woah! Hottie commander at ten o'clock! Okay Hisashi you devilishly charming and handsome stud . . . try to impress her by blowing up as many freakbags as you can," he said out loud, very loud in fact, as their Alpha leader Regina slid down the rope and quietly landed on the ground behind the entire group. Not even blushing Hisashi laughed at himself, cursing the person writting this d*mn story, and was suprised that they still ignored him. As Regina walked past the group, only wearing a light jumpsuit, Hisashi made no disguise to mide his oogling eyes aimed at her rear or his cat whistles; he only stopped when he saw that she was carrying a sniper rifle. Looking at the distant city Regina began explaining their objective for the umptenth time, which Hisashi had already learned to tune out despite how hot Regina was, "Boy she can prattle on . . . takes away from her overall hot bod." ". . . this would give them access to the majority of the city without any interference from our more or less sane friends." "Uh you do know I'm right here?" he said once Regina finished talking, having thought she meant him, and got awkward stares from everybody in the group. Looking around and even behind him to see if there was anything there he turned back and pointed to himself, "So you were talking about some other insane friends besides me? I'm hurt to think I'm not the token 'insanely fun hansome dude' of the group anymore . . . I think you guys need to give me an apology for hurting my feelings . . . heheh . . . feelings . . . but I'll take a hug from Commander Regina, you know you wanna." "The vater zupply could vork captain, but, I fear I may be pezzizmiztic here. No doubt zuch a valuable pozition would be heavily guarded, we vould have to go through quite a few of the cannibalz to get there," Jacques replied ignoring Hisashi, 'which is getting kind of annoying Broken so stop that', and continued with a quite lame joke about not being able to walk five feet without running into a cannibal; 'Or! How he said it, 'you would have to go through quite a few cannibalz just to valk five feet' . . . see?! LAME!' Looking back and forth betwen the three people who had already arrived on scene Hisashi noticed for some unknown reason they where missing a character in their motly crew, "Hey guys where's Owen?" "I don't think Helliquin has made a post yet," he answered himself scratching his chin, confusing his commrades at the same time. Looking around he turned whatever attention span he had to figuring out how to make it easier for them to get to the water supply area without running into too many flesh eatting humanoid creatures, also known as Austianians, or cannibals. Snapping his fingers he grabbed hold of a private and began dragging him, "Hey Sexy Bust Regina! I'm going to go shoot this guy and use his dead corpse as bait to lure the rotting dead dudes away so you can do all that sciency stuff you do, any objections?" "Oh wait!" he interrupted before anybody could voice their concerns, or approval of such an insane plan, and walked over to a few more of the privates. Grabbed hold of them he pulled them along as well, "I might need more bodies now that I think about it . . ."
Otaku-sama
Dmitri lit himself a new cigarette with surprising dexterity in his battle suit gloves and took a deep draw. Now, it wasn't the non lethality of the mission nor the lack of blowing things up that was on his nerves. His superior was an insane and perverted Japanese man, who was attempting to flirt with the female of the group. It seemed pretty basic for the Japanese to Dmitri, as he had heard tales of the Japanese inventing new kinds of horrible pornography. On a mission, however, he wouldn't tolerate this kind of crap. "Commander! Keep it in your pants and stop talking about those damn imaginary people!" Dmitri said irately at his superior while continuing to move forward. Dmitri listened to the decision making process happening over the intercom. Obviously, they needed his experience. "The Frenchman is correct, the tower will be heavily guarded and we will attract attention. The bots do not spread through air well yes? We go for major water source then. We do not need to spread bots into water tanks, only a major pipeline," Dmitri said while ignoring the absurd plan of his commander.
Aesirson
Reg looked at Hisashi and smiled weakly. Why is he still in Unit 818? He's a nice guy and all, but I don't think he's at home in the army with his mental status... He then picked the privates up, who looked at Regina with a kind of "HELP ME" expression on their faces. "Put the privates down! Now!" She said angrily. "And stop calling me things, act as a professional!" She looked at him, now angrily. "Please." She added after a few seconds. Hoping that Hisashi had understood her command, she turned to her group, a Russian and an Afro American, first looking at Jacques. "Is your arm okay?" She asked, but seeing as it stopped when he hit it she left the question. "Pretty much every place in that city is guarded by savages. We need a way to lead their attention somewhere else. Any suggestions?"
Jake the Sage
"What I haven't even done anything yet," Hisashi replied to one of his subordinants telling him to keep it in his pants. He thought about it, 'yeah who wouldn't', but he hadn't acted on the impulse at the time. There was no telling if he was going to at a later date but he knew better than to 'get it on' on the battle field like last time . . . which resulted in a bullet to the a$$ that he wasn't quite proud of. Dragging the privates along Regina had told him to 'put the privates down' which made him chuckle a bit and actually pay attention to her. She said that he needed to act professional and even added a please to the end for emphasis on what she was trying to get across. Holding them up off the ground Hisashi let the drop with a thud to the ground and dusted his hands off, "Look here sugar I'm always professional but if you don't wanna waist the soldiers to a good distraction then very well, but you 'owe' me . . . when we get back to base that is." Watching the group Regina returned her attention to Jacques and Dimitri, paying more attention to the first and that annoyed him a bit. Begining to speak once more, with an air of command, Regina stated that everywhere would be highly guarded by cannibals and that if anybody had a suggestion on how to distract them to speak up. Giving an audiable cough Hisashi raised his hand, pulled out his unloaded gun, and motioned to the privates standing about like cattle, "I think MY plan would work . . ." Aesirson
"No doubt it would." Regina said, ignoring the japanese's comment on her 'owing' him one. "But neither I nor anyone else..." She stopped and threw a quick glance threw the assembled group, as if her eyes were telling everyone to agree with her. "Wants to sacrifice anyone. Privates are also people." Some privates chuckled at her comment, but she looked serious. "But you do have a point." She then said. "If your group could somehow attract attention -without any private sacrifices- me and my group could go for the closest water supply systems." Hellequin
Thoughts echoed in his head, like bursts of wind, telling him crazy things that seemed quite logical at the moment: that he should not be here, that he was going to die, that he will fail. But he shrugged them off. It is too late now. Owen was almost finished preparing his suit while his fellow soldiers continued to babble on. He was like a shadow, always following right behind them and silent. He could be manipulated into doing different tasks without a single complaint. He was always there, and he always listened. But unlike a shadow, everyone never forgot he was there; he was kind of hard to miss, towering over most of them, especially in his suit, which was fully operational at the moment. He was not entirely sure it would actually work after upgrading it a few days ago before being transported. After hearing he would be sent down South, Owen figured he should add better ventilation, which he did with ease. He heard Hisashi say something say something ridiculous and made a mental note not to listen to him much. But besides that, everyone else seemed sane, which made him wonder why they were here. It also made him wonder why he was here. Owen picked up his two guns, one loaded with tranquilizing bullets and the other loaded with the ones that killed, and remembered that humans were going to attack him and he may have to do the same. He turned his head sideways, seeing the name Valentine written on his shoulder pad. Glancing down, he mumbled, "It's for the best."
Quiksilver
"Good idea, thought I don't think we can trust Hisashi with innocent lives." Sam smiled at the Japanese man to show him he meant no harm. Unlike the others, Sam liked Hisashi's wild personality. "So," Sam said, turning back to his superior. "Where shall we go to sabotage these water supplies you speak about? We should probably get moving-" Sam pointed up at the hovering helicopter- "The heli will probably be attracting attention." Sam turned to Owen, the only man here who was bigger than him, landed silently behind him. He heard the big man murmur something about "It's for the best," and Sam knew- albeit vaguely- what he was talking about. They had all lost someone to the cannibal hordes one way or another. Sam gave a supporting smile to Owen, before turning back to Regina, waiting for her reply.
The Warden
Jacques gave the arm another bang and it stopped spasming. 'My arm is fine now comrade, it's just a little buggy due to the viring' he replied to Regina. It seems the Japanese bloke had a few screws loose, but then, everyone here probably was unique, that's why thet were brought together. 'Commander? Vhen looking at theze cannibalz, perhapz a suitably distracting explozion may do the job, ve have an excellent demolitionz expert with uz, vhy not uze him. No doubt zomething going kaboom vould give at least five minutes to get to and infect the vater zupply with the nanobots' he zuggested, I mean, suggested. Jake the Sage
"I think MY plan would work . . ." "I have no doubt it would," Regina replied to Hisashi, ignoring his flirtatious attempts a bit too easily, 'I'm begining to think she might not like me.' Continuing on as Hisashi found out she did the Alpha Commander explained that she or anyone else wanted to sacrafice any privates, stating that they were also people, which got a chuckle out of the mindless drones. Laughing a bit himself Hisashi shook his head at the 'no one wants to sacrafice privates' bit and thought to himself, though he said it out loud, "Well I for one don't want to sacrafice my own soldier. But he hasn't been getting a lot of combat experiance lately so I might have to put him through a few 'drills' . . . wonder if I could find a vol-" "Oh did I say that out loud?" he said as the group looked at him dumbfounded, Regina being the first to regain her composure after receiving too much information from Beta Leader; 'Heh . . . yeah I'm the leader because I'm a pimp.' Stating Hisashi had a point, that they needed a distraction, she suggested his group be the one to do so as her squadron hit the water supply system to spread the nanobots effectively. "Good idea, though I don't think we can trust Hisashi with innocent lives" "You are correct, sir!" Hisashi replied happily, waving his gun high in the air like a madman, as Sam smiled at the reply. Even with all of the high tension of the world coming to an end both men seemed to enjoy the company of the other, 'but not in a fruity "lets hold hands" kinda way', and usually found they'd signed up for the same missions. Addressing him as the commander Sam asked where they'd sabotage first before noticing Owen had finally dropped from the helicarrier and spoke to him. Looking up while the group conversed amongst each other Hisashi read the later half of §îl¥€®'s post: He heard the big man murmur something about "It's for the best," and Sam knew- albeit vaguely- what he was talking about. They had all lost someone to the cannibal hordes one way or another. Sam gave a supporting smile to Owen, before turning back to Regina, waiting for her reply. "Oh come on really?! I mean couldn't there've been ONE person who didn't lose anybody . . . oh wait I didn't," Hisashi thought to himself until he heard Jac bang his arm to make it stop fidgeting. Scowling at the 'few screws loose' part of his owner's view of him, Hisashi listened as he spoke. Apparently the soldier wanted the distraction to be an explosion that'd give their team at least five minutes; he had even mentioned they had an excellent demolitions expert with them. "Ves! I vill be glad too azizt!" Hisashi said in an obvious mocking voice before clasping the handgun in front of him. Grinning wildly he walked a couple feet off from the others before turning back around, "Okay guys lets go make something explode so we can go home . . . party . . . eat chimichangas . . . and drink until our livers kill us! I'd like to think that is how all great men die . . . eating a chimiganga . . ."
Aesirson
Ignoring Hisashi's random mumbling Regina turned to the Bravo commander. "Lieutenant Hisahi!" She expressed. "If your team could set explosives around the Austonian, that tall building Sam was talking about, and detonate them when my team is ready. Me and the others could get into the water systems and disperse the nanobots while the cannibals are to busy caring about the falling building." She looked around at the people to make sure everyone understood. "Shall we go?"
Otaku-sama
Suddenly, the mission became a whole lot more interesting. "Haha! Drawing fire and blowing down big buildings is what I do best!" Dmitri said with great enthusiasm while handling his demolition pack, "If I knew I was going to be drawing fire, I should have demanded grenades!" Dmitri looked at the Austonian, with his hand shading his eyes from the rising sun. By what felt like instinct, he noticed the base of the tower was deteriorating. "The cannibals did not take care of the tower, so it should be an easy demolition, but I need everyone's explosives. 20th century observation towers are well built," he explained, "We will get into the basement and I will cut supports. Then we make a hole in one of the sides so the tower will fall to that side." Dmitri drew a diagram in the dirt as he explained his plan, marking where the supports are most likely to be. A few of the more proactive privates handed him some grenades and a pack of plastic explosives. "Captain Regina, the mission is reduced casualties yes? Then which side of tower is least populated? The tower will fall like a big tree and kill everyone under," Dmitri asked the intelligence officer, taking a puff of his cigarette before leading the privates forward, who appeared to trust him more than their eccentric captain. Aesirson
"Preferbaly you should avoid having it fall on top of me." Reg said and smiled heartly. "The cannibals are still human..." Some of the privates looked at her in a weird way. "I mean, their personalities are still somewhat human, so they should still be curious. If you could get a building over here..." She drew a small dot in the mud. "It should get most of the cannibals attenion, and then you could have the building fall this way." She drew a line starting from the tower Dmitri drew. "The water supply is here." Another dot. "I'll tell your group when my group is ready for the detonations." Regina spoke in a low tone to make sure Hisashi didn't hear what she told Dmitri. I wasn't that she didn't like Hisashi, she just thought that telling him about the detonations could jeopardize the mission.
Jake the Sage
"Sure of course!" Hisashi said waving his hand back at Regina as he walked away. Needless to say he was excited at the change of events, he had always wanted to blow up a building and now he had a chance to make that dream come true. Walking with his crew Dmitri was elated to finally make something explode as well, mentioning that he should've demanded grenades. Smiling Hisashi pulled out a long chain of the requested items and tossed it to Dmitri laughing, "Should've come prepared my equally insane friend!" "The cannibals did not take care of the tower, so it should be an easy demolition, but I need everyone's explosives. 20th century observation towers are well built," the demolitions expert explained as the massive dilapodated structure slowly began to loom over them like a giant monolith . . . just . . . tilted a bit. Arriving close enough for comfert, going any farther would incur the wrath of any cannibal in the area, so at the moment they sat still. Where they squatted they could easily see each location which had been drawn out previously. Looking at the areas and then at the others he only thought, "Wish sugar bits'd trust me not to ruin this mission."
Quiksilver
"Good plan, too, I guess!" Sam laughed. "At least I contributed to the conversation instead of making lewd comments and acting like I was acting like I'm in some sort of game, or roleplay." Sam laughingly looked at Hisashi, winking obviously. Sam was one for action, not planning, and the idea of actually pulling off this idea of detonating the tallest building in Austin whilst inflitrating a cannibal-infested area had him a mite excited. "I'm in "sugar" group, am I? Dang. I would really enjoy seeing that behemoth go down. Not that being in your group doesn't make me excited too!" Sam said, his energy kicking in now. "So! When shall we begin the operation? And by the way- here are your explosives," Sam shrugged off his bandolier of grenades and throwing at Dmitri. "I know I had several plastics explosives too...maybe in my pouch?...Nope, that's my frying pan...Maybe the pocket...Yes! Here ya are, Dmitri!" Sam threw a couple packs of C4 over as well. "Well, my Russian friend? Anymore things you need?"
