Night
The Emperors Blades by Brian Stavely, fairly good fantasy read. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fantasy pick-up. The best aspect of it has to be the non-linearity of the narrative, lots of good sheet going on, keeps the pages turning.
mitchermitcher
Finished After Dark by Murakami just now. It's...a strange work, unlike anything I've had the pleasure of reading before. It's my first time reading Murakami's writing and funk, I love this guy. It's a pretty damn short novel and by the end it feels like I didn't understand everything, yet I'm in awe at what I just read. The omniscient first-person camera narration threw me off completely yet it fitted right in with the 'strange' tone of the writing. Totto-chan, I will get to finishing you someday but until then, it's on to 1Q84 for me.
Fusion X. Denver
I recently finished The Subtle Art of Not Giving A funk by Mark Manson and I really enjoyed it. It's a good self-help book for anyone who overthinks things like me and it's got memorable anecdotes and witty writing that quickens the read. Dad
Postcard Killers - James Patterson and Liza Marklund. If you like drama, thriller, detective stories, this is one that surprised me. A bit more adult-themed, so read at your own risk, but it's a good book.
