I like this series.

I happen to be quite good at it, both playing and hacking. I also ran a sprite comic of it for a while (and I actually have, like, eight issues that I never published due to there being NO READERS). I'm pondering a Touhou-themed hack because I come up with the weirdest projects sometimes (LUCKY STAR DANMAKU MEGA CROSSOVER BEEYOTCHES).

NEEDZ MOAR FANZ.

Comments that must be said:
Miledy/Gale: Best. Couple. In. The. Series. And that's saying something. (Now if only Gale didn't suck on the trial maps...)
Ike/Soren: Bloody obvious.
Eliwood/Lyn: You'd think I'd go Eliwood/Ninian and Lyn/Florina, but no; they just seem so... together, yanno? It's better than Lyn/Rath, anyway.
FE8: This really isn't that imbalanced. Just don't use the map and play on hard mode.
FE10: This, on the other hand, is. It was a nice try, IS, but three tiers really don't work, especially not when playtime is so dicey. (I MISS YOU PLAYABLE LUCIAAAAAAAAAA....)
The Black Knight: Cooler than Zelgius
Leanne/Naesela: I'm neutral in terms of their shipping, but would you believe Leanne's FE9 dialogue actually supported this in the first place?

The way I see it, shipping is essential to character interpretation. Then again, that's just the way I see it, so.

If I were to post an FE hack and/or old sprite comic, would you follow it? *puppy eyes*

I see, well to each his/her own I suppose.

And I might consider looking at it.

After playing SSBB, I finally got into FE.

I've only played Ike's games (Path of Radiance & Radiant Dawn), and FE is probably one of my favorite, if not my very favorite, Nintendo series. And I really want Black Knight in the next Smash Bros.

And another thing, Volke is teh shiz.

May I recommend the GBA games? They're the best in the series by far IMO. Just run Sacred Stones going straight from one chapter to the next for an Elibe-esque experience.

Volke is indeed teh shiz, but I usually wind up not using him 'cuz I'm terrible with thieves (even though Myrmidons are my favourite physical class O,x) and I try not to use the myriad gamebreakers in FE10 (i.e. Ike [for much], Volke, Haar's Stun, and the Laguz royals).

Jill > Haar in FE9, though; she's got a higher chance of Stun and can actually double things, and it's not unheard of for her to max EVERYTHING (though that's partly because female Dragonmaster caps are carryovers from FE6...). Jill is also > Haar for fighting the final boss -- again, she can actually double things. Haar is better off with the giant axes no one can hold, though, since he'll actually hit with them and hit FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE (though he probably won't double unless your opponents are really bad in SPD). If memory serves, that was my impression of them. 'Course, Miledy's my favourite character in the series and Jill's an expy of her, so...

Nephenee actually wasn't broken in FE9 (her supports all suck, for one thing), but then the third tier screwed up the game balance and she turned gamebreaker in FE10. She's awesome either way, though, 'specially personality-wise. I find it odd what her stats are like, though, given what soldiers were like historically... Not that I'm complaining! I wouldn't have her any other way.

Silencer activates too often for Volke not to be on the list of gamebreakers; as aforementioned, I try not to use him.

I'v never had a problem with Haar doubling. I'd give him a Brave Axe and he'd hit 4 times unless the enemy died first (which was more often than not). Maybe I'm just RNG-blessed, or you're RNG-screwed, idk. (RNG = Random Number Generator, it does many things in FE, one of them being how stats level up)

And I like calling it Lethality. It's similar to FATALITY.

I sure wish when you recruit
Sephiran/Lehran
in FE10 he'd keep his awesome tome instead of just having an Ashera Staff...

I'm a Sacred Stones fan, so I use the Sacred Stones name. So.

And honestly, an Ashera Staff is all one can hope for. In the old days, Fortify was the best staff, and even that pales to the power of the Ashera Staff -- that staff can turn defeat into victory effortlessly. Now, if it were available for defence maps...

Maybe I've been spoiled. I've never been in a bad enough position to have to use it anyways.

I'm just glad I get to use BK in Radiant Dawn, if only for a little while. Curse the Dawn Brigade for needing exp, I would love to just solo every level I could use him in.

Fire Emblem couples engaging, character-based story of an epic strategy game that is accessible and still manages to be challenging and satisfying.Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is a direct continuation of the latest generation of Path of Radiance is a Game Cube. Players may handle almost all the characters in the last game, working in the same world, but now see a completely different team and rotate motion story.Battle strategy in the same series of points from the start, once all the controls are based on a large network. Like Advance Wars, each unit has the ability to attack different, the movement in space and have been or local strikes.

I like the fact that all your units are specific characters with their own stories, not just faceless, nameless soldiers.

And then Shadow Dragon and Radiant Dawn happened, and blew both of those things out of the water.

As you can tell, I'm very bitter about this.

I haven't played Fire Emblem in forever, and I only have 2 of the games: "Fire Emblem" and "Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones", both for GBA.
Even though it's been like 2 years since I played Sacred Stones, I still remember the fun I had playing it. The first Fire Emblem was just freakin' tedious. Sacred Stones was so much better for me IMO. My best file ended up pretty awesome. All characters were in their upgraded classes (with the lowest Level unit being somewhere around Lvl 16 or something like that) and I had some marriages going on O.o (For some reason my favorite was Seth and Eirika xD)

But yeah, I had quite the fun time in Sacred Stones. If I have nothing better to do in a few days I might just play it again.

I've played all of the games that have come out in America, though I desperately want the ones in Japan to be shipped over here. Seriously we're missing about . . . what . . . seven other titles that've never seen the shores of the USA at all! What is taking so long!? What're we doing . . . immigration background checks on these games or something?!

Seriously I want to play the other games too. BUT! Since I can't I'll just stick to the ones I already have *begins mashing button for Sacred Stones, pwning a Grado Soldier*

Oh yeah, as I've said before, I've played all the American games . . . which means I also OWN them all as well.

-Fire Emblem

The great one that started it all, or at least in America for me, *holds in hand like a holy relic*

Its cast and characters were bright and entertaining . . . the inclusion of myself into the game made the struggle ever more daunting as I imagined myself alongside Lyn during each heart racing battle we found ourselves in! I could only work my hardest believing that these characters would die if I did not give them the correct orders, which they actually did due to the game play. I cannot tell you HOW many times I've reset a specific chapter/map because I couldn't stand to read through a commrades painful good-bye.

The parting at the end of the first half, where Lyn said we'd meet again, is easily one of the best and seeing our characters meet up again later in the game was exciting. Fighting alongside old commrades in the same game made it exciting! And once the danger was finally done and over with, peace having returned to the land for good, I watched/read as my character vanished off into the sunset before Eliwood's induction to become marquess.

"Though many people sought after him, none could find the mysterious tactician . . ."

Favorite Character: Lyn
- Maybe because I saw her from a humble noble to the glorious ruler of an entire country, Lyn was always my favorite character and always kicked a$$.
Least Favorite Character: Barte
-Maybe it was his tough attitude, maybe it was because he was a clone of Dorcas that always seemed to die. Either way I always found myself putting him at the bottom of my fighters list in a giant brawl.
Favorite Class: Sage
- My true great love. Paladins may be high in attack and Generals being high in defense . . . but train a Sage well enough and he can take down either in a single turn *nods head* AND do it two spaces away!
Least Favorite Class: Thief
-OKay there is nothing wrong with having a thief, they're useful when it comes to stealing stuff of course, but other than that they don't serve much purpose. I mean even the Bard DODGES the attacks sent his way

-Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

The second in the series, in America of course, and the widest set one that I've ever seen. Instead of moving from chapter to chapter you're given the freedom to move about and return to certain maps that're being invaded by monsters. The inclusion of inbetween shopping sprees made this game highly likable along with it's new cast of friendly characters and even better villains!

Sticking with the worrywart of a princess wasn't too bad considering you understood her troubles. Batteling with her you learn to respect the young girl as she makes her way through grueling battle after grueling battle with the desire only to better her country and see her brother again. When the reunion finally occurs you can't help but feel at easy until a childhood friend appears to ruin it all!

Favorite Character: Saleh
- A sage once you first meet him, even before you recruit Saleh he begins to wide out an entire army on his own! Any character than can do that without a basic stragem is okay by me!
Least Favorite Character: Rennac
- Though coming in as a Rogue from the get go Rennac seems to have the thing I can't stand the most, an unbelievable attraction to always getting hit!
Favorite Class: Sage
- What more can I say than what has already beeen stated?
Least Favorite Class: Journeyman/Pupil/Rectruit
- The three lowest levels shouldn't be too blame . . . but I seriously can't stnad to have those three little wankers in my army in a serious chapter, as they either cause no damage, little damage, or just plain get slaughtered.

-Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Deciding to bring Fire Emblem into the 3D realm was a good idea, but it made me seriously miss the old style. The new class of 'Laguz' were an interesting if not confusing group of characters that had to wait TURNS to fill up a meter so they could attack and slaughter the enemy. The hopes of being a character in the story LONG gone now, I've had to deal with the understanding I'm no more than a 'guiding force' that leads the group through the good times and the hard time . . . like a favorite plushie you just can't get rid of . . . yeah ^^

However this game isn't without it's charms. The main character Ike made such a big impact he was allowed to be on Brawl, oh come on you HAVE to be popular to get into THAT game, and a lot of the characters were fun to watch fighting and interacting with each other. You couldn't help but root for them as they slowly made their way to defeating Ashnard and destorying his plans for wolrd conquessas . . . I-I mean . . . conquest XD

Favorite Character: Lucia
- Probably one of the hardest too choose from due to the great characters. Fortunately Lucia rose to the top because of her sacrafice to ensure her friends safety, or did i remember wrong and she was captured? Well EITHER way her amazing rescue quickly lead to me liking her the most, though Tibern and Soren were a close second.
Least Favorite Character: Makalov
- What can I say? This guy I just plain can't stand to have in my group or in the game (=_=)
Favorite Class: Sage
- They still rock when well trained
Least Favorite Class: Laguz
- Okay I KNOW I said Laguz can easily slaughter most other classes . . . WHILE TRANSFORMED! Other than that they're just a bunch of uselss characters dodging attacks until the gauge is refilled; rather not have five or so people useless in battle for six-seven turns thank you.

-Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Jumping in as a sequal, three years have passed since the last game and our characters have all grown bigger. Yet with a bigger body and more honed skills the trouble you get into is a lot more than it was last time. Last game you had to worry about the world getting thrown into a massive bloody war. THIS go around there might not be a world LEFT once the Goddess Ashera decides humanity and laguz aren't worth saving. LOLWUT 8D

No seriously 8O

Out of ALL the Fire Emblem games this has the most interesting story I could have imagined with the Goddess EVERYBODY thinks in nobel trying to kill them all. The scene in which only our heroes are left in a world turned stone makes you realize, "This b*tch ain't kidding around!" That added thought that only your mercenary group if left to stop a Goddess, a fact you still can't get over while playing the game, and restore the world back to normal weighs on you. However the final ending which I will not spoil for you is more heartwarming than the last.

Favorite Character: Black Knight
- Having been beaten and left for dead in the last game, the Black Knight makes an amazing return in his old armor. What can be more bad a$$ then coming back from certain death and being even stronger than before?
Least Favorite Character: Makolov
- Again with him appearing in MY game!?
Favorite Class: Arch Sage
- While dividing the classes might NOT have been the best idea, the Arch Sage is virtually the same as a normal Sage. Though the idea of a Dark Sage IS tantalizing
Least Favorite Class: Halberder
- Okay this class should've been better. It could've been better . . . but he hardly lands a hit I can't help but thing, "he should've been made better"

-Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Remake a Fire Emblem game for the United States!? THANK YOU GOD! OR . . . maybe not . . .

With the change in graphics we leave the understandable 3D world the Wii gave us and delve into the unrealistic look of a Fire Emblem 3D DS game. Honestly the pixilated character of the Game Boy Advanced where better than this mess.

Even with the crappy visuals the game play should make up for it, but Shadow Dragon is about as deep plot wise as a puddle of mud. Basically your hero waits for his father to kill the evil dragon that's returned and only springs into action once his homeland was taken over; way to stay on the ball there champ! I actually ran through this entire game in a single weekend and haven't picked it up again since.

Yes you can play online with other people, but I don't see the point as the game isn't that good anyways.

Favorite Character: ?
- I honestly ran through the game so quick I didn't even remember the characters names
Least Favorite Character: ?
- Don't remember, but there was probably a lot of them.
Favorite Class: I don't remember, but probably Sage
- What can I say? Kills other easily and can do it two spaces away . . . you can't beat that unless you gott a really good sniper *nods head*
Least Favorite Class: Thief
- At least in the other games, you could improve your thief. But in Shadow Dragon a thief is a thief, and he remains crappy until the bitter end- which usually comes at the end of a very sharp enemy sword.

Ah, Jake, you and your posts. ^.^

You don't like the Halberdiers? Nephenee can be one, and she's tied (with Haar) for the best non-Lord, non-Royal (as in the freaking awesome Laguz Royals) character in the game. She's a beast (not to get confused with the Laguz).

I also like that Ike (and later Miciah) is the only Lord not to be of royalty. He starts out as a simple mercenary, then saves a country, then the world.

And BK is awesome, I agree. I love his battle theme, too. A castle falls on him, but 'tis but a flesh wound.
