I greatly enjoy Video Game Humor. Stuff ranging from Halo: Reach fails, awesome and hilarious dialogue, or simple gestures that crack you up. They all work. I know that some of you out there enjoy it to, and I encourage you to share it here. Its healthy to laugh XD. The better ones will be placed here.

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED - George W. Bush (50) - Complete an assault game without ever finding the bomb


I think its funny.[/spoiler]


Anyway, lets see what you have here.

Everybody who played the game get's the joke immediately
(For those who did not: You get this achievement by changing the control settings in the menu. The joke: You can only choose between "Splode", "Splode", "Splode" and "Splode" for all 4 control keys, thereby reflecting the simple, yet totally genius ways of this game)[/spoiler]

I never knew that Halo actually had humor... but to be quite honest, that is pretty good :D

The character itself is pretty hilarious as well, with... strange poses and some funny one-liners.

I just recently finished [b]Psychonauts[/b], which is a joke in and off itself, but has some especially hilarious moments. During the game, brains get stolen from their original owners. They can still walk (like zombies) and talk, but only 1 single word: "Television..."

Humorous, in an intelligent way ;)

A lovely battle quote from [b]Resonance of Fate[/b]:

Leanne: "You want me on offense or defense?"
Vashyron: "Leanne goes both ways. Good to know."
Zephyr: "Hey. Save it, why dontcha."

A hilarious victory pose in [b]Tales of Vesperia[/b]:

Estelle: "Our weapons are love!"
Yuri: "Justice!"
Raven: "Sexuality!"
Rita: "Would you stop?"

Or one of my favourites (same game, same time, other team):

Estelle: "They're...bouncing..."
Judith: "What are you looking at?"
Estelle: "I wish I could bounce..."

There are a lot more quotes that are really funny, but I won't count them all now... just play the games ;)

Another joke I had to laugh heavily about was in [b]Borderlands[/b]. There's a seemingly normal enemy called "Rakkanishu". I fell on the floor when I saw it and nearly died because I wasn't able to shoot him (for all of you who don't get the reference... well, I don't care to explain it :P).



Overall, video games are a great medium for humour (Especially those good old adventures like Monkey Island were full of it, but that was before my time)... it just seems only really few are able to use it properly. I'd like to laugh some more, please :)

Lol. Those are pretty good. The 'Splosion man one was awesome.


If you thought the Achievement I posted was part of the game, no it wasn't. If it was, though, that'd be awesome.
