Iris blinked at the move. "Uh, okay," she said, drawing her next card and glancing at it. "By discarding a card when I control a level three or below WATER monster, such as my level 2 Sunfish, I can Special Summon my Fishborg Blaster from my Graveyard." The fish surfaced beside the Sunfish. (Lvl 1, 100/200)

"Additionally, as I control a WATER monster, I can Normal Summon my Cyber Shark without a Tribute," Iris said, placing the monster on the field. A mechanical shark appeared, growling. (Lvl 5, 2100/2000)

"I'll switch my Sunfish to ATK position," Iris said, the defending fish smoothly changing into an offensive position. (ATK: 1000) "And I'll attack your Sonic Maid with my Cyber Shark!"

Mina explained as she followed Tetsu. "That purple color scheme is the same color scheme Vector-A uses. She is an incredibly powerful virus plaguing The City and the surrounding area. She is very smart, hiding in the depths of The City and striking efficiently and precisely. That full-scale outbreak back there isn't in her nature. I think she converted someone, but they just went wild, destroying everything and corrupting everyone in their path until we quarantined and purged the place. We have technicians working on reassembling those two that started it all so we can question them. They might have the answers we need to stop her once and for all, especially if she now has her filthy hands on Aki!"

Rhythm squealed as her Sonic Maid was derezzed by the giant shark. (Rhythm: 3100 LP)

Slightly surprised by the lack of resistance, Iris continued with, "Nimble Sunfish attacks directly."

She considered the remaining cards in hand and the facedown on her field. Unless Rhythm managed to make some sort of defense or comeback, it was likely she was going to win in the following turn, which she couldn't help but feel disappointed at the prospect of a possible easy win. It had been a while since she had dueled a good opponent, but she'd have to wait and see what was coming.

"That'll end my turn," she said plainly.

"But can we save Aki! I mean, if she gets as infected as you say she is, then i know we can just have her wandering around the city causing chaos, especially with her access abilities, but still... that's m.... our Aki that's infected!"

He looks to the blaster within his hands, he had drawn it so easily, like the gunslinger he aspired to be, like his father in his world.... but could he do it? could he actually fire on Aki? Her face staring back out from him in the tank haunted him, sending such an odd mixture of emotions down his spine

Mina looked at Kyza seriously. "I...don't know...it all depends on whether she can control herself. Vector-A is cunning. She could potentially break Aki."

Rhythm whimpered as she was attacked again. (Rhythm: 2100 LP) She drew her card, and smiled at the result. "I activate Chorus of Sanctuary!" A beautiful angelic place appeared around the duelists and the club goers. Immediately, Fishborg Gunner looked more powerful. (200 DEF -> 700 DEF) "I set a face-down monster, and a face-down card, then end my turn!" A surprisingly competent move, though whether it would save her remained to be seen.

"She wont...." that face of Aki's at the glass, seeing him, such an expression, it keeps haunting him now as he grips the blaster tighter, leaning out of the window to try and get a better view. Without waiting for Mina's authority, his emotions allowing him to be a little overassertive, he takes the radio, "Trudge, you see anything yet?" He waits for his reply, eyes scanning the view on the horizon and in the sky, seeking any sign or clue for Aki to be there, to be ok.... or at least still be quarentined...

Iris nodded and drew her next card, smiling slightly as she did so. With this card, she could finish the duel, so long as there were no counters.

"I Summon Oyster Meister!" she announced, as a fish warrior materialized on the field beside the other monsters. "Now I activate my Fish Depth Charge Trap! By Tributing a Fish monster, I can destroy one card on the field, and then draw 1 card. I'll Tribute my Oyster Meister, and target your facedown monster card," she said, pointing to the card in front of her.

Oyster Meister shimmered as a torpedo was readied, pointing towards Rhythm's monster.

(Response?)

Rhythm started to cry as her Spirit of the Harp was destroyed. (2000 DEF -> 2500 DEF) If she hadn't been destroyed, the harp-playing maiden would have gained a power boost from Chorus of Sanctuary, giving her 2500 DEF, enough for Rhythm to stay in the game for a while longer.

Mina scowled at Kyza crossly as he snatched up the radio. "I do have reports from officers who have arrived on the scene. The transport has been totaled, and the Energy signatures of everyone that was part of the convoy who was derezzed are here...except Aki's. This means that Vector-A took the future Mrs. Fudo with her. I'm...I'm sorry, Kyza..."

The radio falls from his hand as he hears Trudge's voice, the hard plastic clattering to the floor as the young duelist gently let go of his blaster, the familiar brief flash of rod then nothing as it holstered itself.

the Mrs. Fudo bit, at another time, may have made him wince, made him cringe, but he doesnt exactly know what to feel, just that horrible lead weight in his chest as he slumps back into his seat, after a pause he pathetically picks the radio up and slots it back into its cradle. He tries to open his mouth to speak, to say anything to Mina, but after three failed atempts he just stays quiet, allowing his mind to be awash with that last image of her

In the aftermath of the torpedo, Iris drew a new card, but overall paid it no real focus.

"When Oyster Meister is sent from the field to the Graveyard by any means aside from destruction in battle, I get to summon a token," Iris stated. A small oyster appeared beside the other monsters. (Lvl 1, 0/0)

"I tune my level five Cyber Shark with my level one Fishborg Blaster and level one Oyster Token," Iris continued. The token and Shark joined together to pass through the single ring formed by the Fishborg Blaster. "I Synchro Summon the level 7 Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Boundary!"

With a roar, a draconic monster, seemingly formed from ice, appeared. (Lvl 7, 2500/1700)

(If no response)

"I activate Gungnir's effect. By discarding up to two cards, I can destroy the same number of opposing cards. I discard one card, and target your remaining facedown card," Iris said.

(If no response)

"Gungnir, direct attack!"

Rhythm flipped up her face-down. "I activate Black Horn of Heaven!" An evil-looking winged horn appeared on Rhythm's side of the field, and a blast of some unholy din echoed through the club, destroying Gungnir. "This little beauty allows me to negate Special Summons!"

Mina eventually stopped at the wreckage of the transport, and opened the cockpit. She walked over and sighed. "So she's gone?" She asked her husband. "We have a team following some leads, but knowing Vector-A, they're all probably dead ends. All we can do is hope for Aki to find a way back or at least resist Vector-A until we can locate her."

Gungnir shattered the moment it touched the field, and Iris winced. Had she not done the Synchro, or if she had used Fish Depth to destroy the S/T instead, she would have won. As it was, she needed a new plan.

"I discard a card to bring back my Fishborg Blaster, this time in ATK position," she said, the fish gunner returning. (Lvl 1, 100/200)

"Nimble Sunfish and Fishborg will attack you directly. I'll then end my turn by placing this card facedown," she finished, sliding a card into the rear slot of her disk.

".....Listen.." Kyza wanders up towards the two, his fringe hiding his eyes as he points vaguely off in a direction, left right forwards he doesnt really see, just a simple meaningless gesture, "You guys don't really need me anymore, there's been enough screwups without me adding to the pile so I'm gonna head off, just... if she comes back, whatever like, let me know...." he turns slightly away, as though something was on his mind but crushing all his personality from him, running on auto, "you guys'll find me, so yeah, uh...." he stares at the ground, like on standby before turning away, "...seeya...."

Sigma sighed as she watched an unusual virus outbreak cross a sector, before the sector itself was completely wiped out. 'It seems there are others at work in this office of ours' she sighed, breathing out another cloud of smoke. 'Tell me, how many new admins do we have now?' Sigma inquired. The secretary punched up some numbers in the console before telling her. 'That many' Sigma said with suprise. She dipped her dying cigarette into the ash tray next to her and reclined the chair further back. 'Now I really do think Sigma should, go away. And I think this 'Vector-A' can help me with that'.

Whispering noises surrounded Zarkus' body as he slowly stood up, walking forward. He eventually vanished into a portal and continued walking. Due to the lack of Dark Soul monsters, he would begin to age incredibly fast, becoming an old man and eventually dying in under a month. He grit his teeth, bloody tears running down his eyes, as he walked into the void, eventually reaching a large, white orb. "...what?" Zarkus said, reaching out to it. The orb opened one large eye, taking a breath. "Do you want a second chance?" the orb stated, as Zarkus reached towards the orb. "So... warm." he said, flying into it as an aura of light surrounded his body. His deck began to change as well, a familiar aura entering it, but not the Dark Soul monsters he was accustomed to.

"Your life will be given new meaning."

An Omega marking formed on Zarkus' chest as he was teleported back to the admin room.

Sigma was about to light up another cigarette when there was a bright flash and Zarkus was back in the room, oddly enough his armour was back. 'So, you're back' she said indifferently. She finally lit up and took another puff, scattering smoke everywhere. 'You know Zarkus, after all this time I'm beginning to think maybe I've had enough of all this. And I don't know about you but that maybe might just become a definately for me' she remarked, it was casual and tired sounding.

Zarkus sat down on the ground, rubbing his forehead. "...I just don't know anymore, Sigma." he said in a despaired tone. Whatever happened to him after losing that duel, it broke him. A weird energy could be sensed from his body, a very familiar one, but it wasn't sinister. It was sad and confused one, reflecting how Zarkus felt at the moment, he looked up at Sigma, not knowing that she probably didn't know the consequences of losing his Dark Soul monsters, and said a single phrase to her as he stood up and walked through yet another portal, going god knows where:

"I don't want to die yet."

Of course, that single sentence was probably enough to tip Sigma off to what Zarkus was going through.

Meanwhile, Jack was off doing Jack things.

Sigma sighed and stubbed out her smoke. 'Oh Zarkus' she said, destroying the ash tray. 'I feel the same way' she sighed. There was a quick flip as she was gone from the admin office.

She flipped back on her floating sanctuary, a locking sound emanating after she successfully entered it. She walked over to a small altar and placed her deck on it. A protective glass case secured them as the altar lowered into the gorund and was gone. She dusted off her chair and activted her old consoles. 'Show me the signers' she commanded. The screen immediataly lit up, showing pictures of Yusei, Jack, Aki, Crow, Luna and Leo. Next to their images were their corresponsing signer dragon. 'Interesting, powerful cards, any evolutions?' she inquired. The screen then showed images of Savior Stardust Dragon, Savior Demon's Dragon, Life Stream Dragon, Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, Red Daemon's Dragon/Assault Mode, Shooting Star Dragon, Scar-Red Nove Dragon. 'Hmmm, this seems to be a decent base to work off of' Sigma commented as she began to create some new cards.

MIA helplessly looked as the debris flew against her. This greatly angered her, and one could see that she was about to explode.

"YOU BASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-" She screamed, but as her life points dropped to zero she was crushed and the data that remained flew away. She appeared to have been killed...

But that was not the case. At another point in the Virtual World, MIA's previous hideout, her body rematerialized, except that she now had a scar under her right eye.

"That abomination!" She hissed, raised her hand to the damage and data shot out of the palm, creating a crimson mark to cover the scar. "I will kill her soon enough... I will."

OOC: I'm bored, and, I need to get Rex/Blaze to wherever Mina, Kyza and Trudge are so he can tell them what he knows about Vector-A.

Rex mumbled. He had finished being rebuilt, and was being kept in custody while they rebuilt Blaze. He glanced over to Blaze. He was halfway finished being rebuilt. Blaze stared at him, snapped his fingers as silently as he could, and Rex silently walked through the portal, wondering where it would lead him. The portal opened up at the same location Trudge, Mina and Kyza were at. Rex stepped out of it, and glanced at them. Then, almost as if he knew what they wanted to know, he began to speak. "My name is Rex Hiyabusa. I was originally a robot, built to protect Users and teach new Users the basics of this world. I have a...I guess you could call him a friend/enemy? His name is Blaze. He can summon cards into real life, you see. He was causing chaos when I met him. He was trying to attack him." Rex pointed at Kyza. "And that girl that was with him. I dueled Blaze, but he easily won. I was badly damaged. And the kid." Rex pointed at Kyza again. "And his friend just ignored me! After I risked my life for them! That's when I was approached by Vector-A. She offered me power to have revenge on the kid and his friend. I went crazy with my newfound power, chasing after them. I was corrupting AI's and destroying them as well when V-Sec arrived. I took most of them out, then I corrupted Blaze. He can also make portals, you see. I grabbed that kid's friend, and tried dragging her through a portal. Is that all you need to know?" Rex asked, quite calmly. He glanced at Kyza. "Oh, one last thing, and I'm speaking to the kid. Sorry."

Maybe it was the stress of the day, or the anger building up within at his own failure coupled with his own self-loathing qualities, but Kyza turns to lunge at Rex, a look of sheer hatred in his eyes that even Itsu, in his time knowing him, hadn't seen, before he is swiftly grabbed by two securities.

"Keep the hell away from me!! You murdered her by infecting her!! She could be dead now!! Get the HELL away from me or I'll tear you apart you messed up robot!!" he screeches his rage, fighting hard against the officers as his tears of anger and rage flood his face, trying to get closer to Rex, "I dont wanna hear anything you have to say!! I hope they rip you apart and delete you!!!" He's still dragged back, but his rage and venom is overwhelming, the light coding on his clothes burning viciously

Rex looked at Kyza in shock. He began to walk towards the transport, scanning the area for traces of virus activity. There was the obvious trail from Aki, but it was more of a gray trail to his eyes. He continued to scan the area, but the trail from where Aki had been infected was the only one he could find. "Vector-A probably figured out how to cover up her trail in case I tried something like this...Something must have happened to your friend, otherwise I would be able to see a trail heading in the direction she was taken. Perhaps Vector-A hid both her trail and your friend's trail from this point on. Otherwise I would see your friend's trail but the direction the transport came from is the only one that your friend has a trail coming from." Rex mumbled this loud enough only Mina, Trudge and Kyza heard it.

MIA brought up a couple of new holographic screens and looked at them, trying to find the brat that just defeated her, but on one screen there was only wasteland while on the other there was quite a bunch of people, including a boy trying to free himself from two V-Sec officers. MIA heard them talking about corruption and a being named Vector-A.

"Viruses..." She said, as if she was trying to figure out what the wod meant. "VIRUSES!?"

She grabbed one of the Holoscreens, the one shwing the wasteland, and threw it away. ((Holoscreen Owned Count: 1))

"There cannot be viruses in my perfect world!" She screamed. She looked around herself, as if she tried to find something to destroy, but soon realized that she was in an empty room. She looked back at the remaining screen, and a smile spread on her face. The evil kind of smile. "That boy..." She looked at Kyza. "The despair..."

She broke out in maniac laughter, and then dematerialized as she had done once before.

Pulling himself away from the Sector securities, put only when they were convinced he was moving away from Rex, "You guys just keep him away from me! I dont want to hear his excuses, and i dont want to hear his apologies or any of that! I see him again, he's heading for the recycle bin!!"

He snarls angrily, his coding flaring up still, that burgendy red burning like fire on his body. He knows he doesnt know where to go, doesnt care, just wanting to be away from him. He wanted time to reflect, and this stupid program kept interfearing, making things worse, making Aki...

Kyza pushes that back, just letting his hate bubble under the surface

Rex stared at Kyza, and began to walk in the opposite direction of the one the transport had been heading. He mumbled something, and tossed something at Kyza. "Something Blaze tossed into the portal just as the firewall used to keep Blaze and I from escaping that place that got wiped came up. Portal closed with that thing inside just before the firewall appeared." The thing Rex had tossed at Kyza was a Identity Disk. But it was a Identity Disk familar to Kyza. It was Akiza's Identity Disk. Rex suddenly changed his mind, and mumbled. "By the way, here's the deck I found in that Identity Disk." And he handed Akiza's deck to Kyza, and began to walk away.

OOC: TFF, Neither yours or Kyza's posts mentioned Akiza's Identity Disk getting grabbed by Kyza or Akiza before the firewall came up. So im going with this for the explanation as to why Rex has it: Rex had had Blaze grab it, figuring it could be useful. When Kyza rescued Akiza, and the firewall began to come up, Blaze tossed it into the portal and closed it, and Rex picked it up on his way through the portal to wherever Mina, Trudge and Kyza are.
