[color=#FF1493]"Well that was...weird..."[/color] Teslarc drew her card, and played Debris Dragon, allowing her to Special Summon Level Warrior from her Graveyard, which she Synchro Summoned to get out Ancient Fairy Dragon. She used the effect of Ancient Fairy Dragon to destroy Zombie World and gain 1000 Life Points. She then Special Summoned Echo Dragon, an odd serpent made from a series of colorful jagged waves, the visual representation of sound. Echo Dragon WIND/Dragon/Tuner/1/1000/1000 This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This monster can only be Special Summoned from your Deck if you control a Level 7 or higher Dragon-Type monster. Once per turn, you may send a Tuner Monster from your Deck to your Graveyard to make the Level of this face-up monster equal to the Level of the sent monster. This monster counts as a Synchro Tuner Monster or a Fusion Tuner Monster for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster. She sent Magna Drago to the Graveyard, which caused the soundwave drake to morph into a copy of the selected creature. She had obviously something planned... Her hair was released from its bun and it dangled behind her loosely. She grumbled in frustration as she did it up again. 'Okay, I'm good now, but tell me Zarkus, what was the point of sealing off a place if anyone can get to it; more to the point right now, why haven't you designed cards to counter the most powerful of all cards?' she asked blankly. A puzzled look crosses his expression as he looks to Aki, "Wait.... we got frozen when we climbed into those cryotubes, so I'm guessing that means we can be in here for quite a while..." looking around the scenary with a light frown still on his face, "so do we get a chance to sleep or have anywhere called home here? Heck, even a hotel or something? I mean, I still feel tired..." he looks to his limbs, amazed by just how much he was 'here' and not seeing motion blur or pixilation, "so do we pop back out or do we crash here? And uh... because power scaling dictates that as soon as I make a card like that, about five other stronger ones will be born." he said, rubbing his forehead. He sat down in a chair, but then looked around the room, a slight vibration surrounding it. A portal appeared in the center, as a cloaked man with a coal-black mask arose from the ground. "Greetings, you two!" he said in a playfully depraved voice, walking around the room and examining the surroundings. Zarkus dashed towards the man and held his blade up against the man's neck. "...who might you be?" Zarkus said in a cautious tone, as the man dispersed into smoke and walked through Zarkus nonchalantly. The man bowed, and looked up at Zarkus and Sigma through his mask. "I am Chaos. But you can call me Paul." Zarkus looked at Chaos, scratching his head. He recognized the mask, as it was the same one that Law wore as he invaded. However, the mannerisms of the man were completely different, as he was more depraved. "...you're with Neziarx, aren't you?" Zarkus said, still oblivious to the true identity of Law. Chaos laughed, as a black duel disk appeared on his arm. "No you moron. That man wasn't Neziarx. Sure he took his physical appearance, but he is something far stronger. But let's cut the foreplay, dear. I'm here for something only you possess." he said, activating his duel disk, as a number 4000 appeared on his head, and a deck appeared in his disk. "I'm here for Project Solomon." Zarkus activated his own duel disk in preparation of a duel, but knowing Sigma, she would probably interfere. It may have been the equivalent of an hour since you got here, but we're only been asleep a couple of minutes! I had the close approximation of half an hour in this world to prepare for your arrival! Time passes much more slowly in here! Isn't that awesome?!?"[/color] Teslarc raised her hand to the sky, and Echo Dragon started spinning, emitting feedback as it did so. The spinning dragon turned into two glowing green rings, which engulfed Ancient Fairy Dragon, transforming her into 7 stars. The array erupted into a giant blast that unleashed a powerful-looking dragon. "So... what you're saying is, even though machines are usually quicker, this world has a...." he thinks for the wording, "a delay to it? So you could take an hour out in real time, then spend an entire night wining and dining your loved one in here?" he tried to see how that was useful, but shook his head, "so with us being frozen in the real world, we can stay in here for quite a while in real time? I already know how this is going to end, so go, just go' she said as the cursor surrounded her and she flipped out of the area. She flipped back into the admin office, not in the same area as where she was having her mini-conference with Keith and....the other guy. There was another secretary bot there. 'Good day Head Admin Sigm, how may I help you today?' she inquired. 'I want a visual of the growth of the Virtual World once it came back online' Sigma stated. 'Certainly' the bot said. I mean, do you and Yusei have a place here where you sleep and recover and plan what to do on your next step? Or friends, they have places to go to? Or do we just get up out the pods and vanish here? because...." he glances back, "if I keep popping up back there and have to trek all this way to the City, man.... that's a long ride! Be quicker to just stay here..." Perhaps it was that side of him that never aged in the real world, that still looked a young early 20s instead of approaching 29, but he lost track of times in that sense. Too much time just watching it drift away, thankful for.... He knew he had to find Itsu, or someone who knew him, the true him, in this world. But who? "Just like old times." he said, taking one card from his hand, and placing it into the field spell card zone. A crimson aura surrounded his body as his blood-red eyes began to glow, and a dark seal surrounded both duelists, preventing anyone from entering. "Spell card activate. Seal of the Dark Oracle! Then I special summon Dark Sacrifice Duo and Normal Summon Dark Soul Soldier." he said, as two fiends, one light and one dark appeared in his back row. Then, a female warrior carrying a long revolver rose from the ground. Zarkus went through his deck and picked out one card. "I set two cards. Turn end." he said, as the Sacrifice Duo glowed a bright color, paying the cost of the Seal. Hand: 2 S/T: 3 Monsters: 2 LP: 3000 Chaos smiled, as he picked up the first card from his deck. He quickly placed the first card in his hand into his spell/trap card zone, as Darklord Zerato rose from the ground, a purple aura surrounding his body and cutting his ATK/DEF. Chaos quickly chained another card in his hand as two more Darklord Zerato monsters arose from his deck. "I activate Celestial Transformation and Inferno Reckless Summon. Then I use the effect of Darklord Zerato to wipe out all your monsters." he said, sending Darklord Superbia from his hand to the Graveyard. Zerato rose his blade up into the air as dark lightning shot from it, obliterating Soldier, but Dark Sacrifice Duo was immune. Chaos merely smirked, as his three monsters went after the Dark Duo, readying an attack. However, Zarkus flipped his face-down trap card. "I activate Mirror Force!" Zarkus declared, as a large barrier appeared. However, lightning surrounded the barrier and destroyed it, as the first Darklord pierced through, slicing across the chest of the Duo, Zarkus' LP dropping to 200. "I activate My Body as a Shield." Chaos said, as the two remaining warriors began an attack, the one with the halved ATK taking the lead. Zarkus flipped his face-down trap card just in time. "I activate Dark Soul Temptation." he said, as a seal appeared on the head of the second Darklord, it switching to Zarkus' side of the field in defense position. Chaos set two cards and ended his turn, the Zerato with lower ATK vanishing. Zarkus drew one card. "I have to make this count." he said, placing a card in his spell/trap zone, Angel of Charity, as both players filled up their hands. A macabre jester arose from the ground, laughing as if it was taunting Chaos. "Now, I tune my Jester and Darklord Zerato together!" he said, as the jester vanished into four stars, merging with the body of Zerato. Zerato's body began to morph as well, taking a completely different form. [b]"Flames of hell, come forth. Through personal sacrifice an almighty power will be released. Awaken, God of Self Sacrifice, Dark Soul Chaos King!"[/b] The King descended from the ground, as it let out a mighty roar, the ground under him shaking. "Dark Soul Chaos King, attack my opponent directly!" he declared, as the king formed a large orb of energy in his hand and tossed it forward towards Chaos. Chaos merely smiled, his face-down card opening. "I win." Chaos said, as Dark Soul Chaos King switched to Chaos' side of the field. "By activating this card, I can copy the effect of one card you activated during your last turn. I copy the effect of Dark Soul Temptation." Zarkus didn't think much of it at first, but then it hit him: His seal required tributes to sustain. He had nothing left to sacrifice. He frantically looked through his hand for something he could use, but he had nothing. He was going to be defeated by his own card. "There... must be something I can do..." Trudge and his team tried to stop her, bu she simply jumped right over them and kept walking. No destruction or anything. She treated them as if they were an obstacle. She did the same with the support crews behind the blockade, ignoring them unless they got in her way, at which point she would acrobatically get around or over them. She then summoned her Light Cycle, a strange one-wheeled creation, and started weaving through traffic. The vid window fizzled for a moment before turning to Zarkus and Chaos. It appears that Zarkus had summoned his ace, and it was then taken. He was about to lose, causing Sigma to roll her eyes and sigh. 'He better appreciate this' she said and opened a new vid window, it had the image of a large red button, which she smashed. Parts of the virtual world began to shut down, including all duels in the area. 'The Virtual World power will shut down for some emergency maintenance *aside* and ass kicking *end aside*, hence all duels and other activities will be disabled for a short while, we apologize for this inconveniance' Sigma said over a system wide sound PA system. "I can freeze any point in virtual time, Zarkus. And that's precisely what I did right when our duel began... of course it has a cost." Chaos said, as the seal began to surround Zarkus' body. Zarkus grit his teeth as his armor began to crack and shatter, revealing his body under it, covered by a black t-shirt and jeans. The armor took the form of a card in Chaos's hand, as Chaos left in a portal behind him, half his body disintegrated due to the sheer amount of energy it took him to sustain himself. Zarkus looked up in disbelief, as the seal continued to surround his body, leaving him completely conscious and awake while the virtual world was shut down, or so he thought. Suddenly, his body began to crack, converting into a crimson red silhouette of himself. He flailed around, his body wracked with pain, as it completely disintegrated. Zarkus's mind floated around in infinite darkness for what seemed like an eternity, or maybe an instant; Zarkus couldn't tell anymore. Seconds, minutes, days, weeks? All meant nothing to him. As his mind started to fade, a dark crimson aura surrounded his body. He slowly began to lose consciousness and smiled. "At least it's finally over." he said, as his body reformed in the virtual world as soon as Sigma turned it back on, but he was completely unconscious and unmoving, every Dark Soul card in his deck completely blank, his consciousness seemingly completely separated from the virtual world as well. At least he wasn't dead. Chaos' deformed body entered the room where the three, as he placed the card in the center room. "Here it is you ungrateful bastards." he said, coughing up data-blood, most of his body gone. The one with the gray mask simply snapped his fingers as Chaos' body regenerated. The one with the gray mask sighed, and looked directly at Chaos. "What is it, Zero?" Chaos said, wondering why he looked distressed. "You didn't kill him, did you?" Chaos was silent. She fell back onto a chair, which she reclined into. 'Why can't we just die already?' she wondered as the vid window closed. She let out a sigh as the timer slowly ticked down. She summoned a lighter and a cigarette, which she lit up and sighed, smoke expelling from her mouth. 'I think maybe it's time for Sigma to go away' she considered, the timer ticking down until it read '0:00:00'. The power began to restore to all facilities in the Virtual World. "I know who you are. Your Vector-A, that Virus that's been wreaking havoc all over the City, right?" Rex drew his Rod and broke it, turning it into his sword. "You have an offer for me? What is it? I'm feeling like causing destruction right now, and I also wanna go have some revenge on those two." Rex glared in the direction Kyza and Akiza had rode off in. "I risked my life to save them, and all they do is ride away?! I'll do whatever you want. Just help me get rid of them!" Rex was quite angry by now. "So? His circuitry started to turn purple as his eyes blackened like Vector-A's own. Soon, his body started to repair itself and he absorbed the claw, and she retracted it like pulling it out of liquid. An extension of myself, if you want to be specific."[/color] Aki's Duel Runner started back up again, and she breathed a sigh of relief. [color=#FF1493]"That was scary..."[/color] Meanwhile, at a prestigious club that was starting back up again, a green-haired young woman was poking a sleeping brown-haired girl. However, being prodded abruptly brought her to the realization that she had fallen asleep, which was not only incredibly embarrassing, but depending on how long she had been asleep, extremely rude to those around her. At the sound of a voice of concern, she opened her eyes and looked up blearily, trying to focus on the source. "Um...yeah, I think so," she mumbled, shaking her head to clear the confusion from her head. [i]I hope I wasn't sleeping that long...[/i] Brushing her hair from her eyes, where it tended to slip in front of when not carefully restrained, she focused more clearly on the green-haired woman before her. Upon arriving it had been meeting up with Aki, being... what would he call it, downloaded? into this virtual world, and attacked by a whacked out droid.... He felt guilty for this, and a bit annoyed at Aki's rebuttle of his questions, but she obviously knew something about this world he didnt.... turning his head, he frowns. Another engine? His armor now had [color="purple] purple circuits [/color] instead of dark yellow ones. His eyes had blackened, and his Light Cycle also had changed. It now was a much bigger Light Cycle, and he easily destroyed a AI with a swipe of his new claws. His Duel Disk now looked like the old Dark Signer duel disk, and he spoke in a strange, distorted way. He noticed a AI of the Crashtown Kalin, deactivated his Light Cycle, and destroyed it with a swipe of his claws. [color="purple"] " F00ls1! U c@nn0t st0p m#!!" Go find an Admin! I'll handle this!"[/color] She turned around and charged towards the corrupted robot and the corrupted programs nearby. She used her Identity Disc to plow through her opponents, until she got to Rex. [color=#FF1493]"You want a fight, you're gonna get a fight!"[/color] Meanwhile, Vector-A was already regretting her decision to corrupt the robot boy. [color=#800080][i]<You imbecile!>[/color][/i] She screamed at him through their connection. [color=#800080][i]<You do not just go on a rampage like that! That will get you->[/i][/color] Of course, her meaning was made clear when a pair of Recognizers and a small group of tanks started firing on Rex and his new converts. The woman shook her head. He draws his blaster rapidly, not needing to mess around with unfastening his holster, drawing the rod before it turns into the large clunky blaster Kyza had chosen, he cautiously snipes at a few of the converted programs as he tries to adapt himself to firing at these shapes, convincing himself they weren't real.... It felt so weird, having the same bike as the corrupted Rex, both similarly modelled after the dark signer's bike, but seeing such evil. His was chosen for fondness of his father, that? He didnt want to guess, all hHe knew he wasnt going to let Aki handle this by herself, never.
