Aki replied. [color=#FF1493]"He is! He helped me out of a very dark place a long time ago, and we have been together ever since! In fact, Yusei promised your brother that he could be one of the groomsmen."[/color] Aki fell silent for a few minutes as they flew towards The City's center before asking Kyza hesitantly. [color=#FF1493]"Listen...Kyza...Yusei and I...we are planning on getting married once this war is over, and I was wondering if you would be willing to take your brother's place...I don't know what it is about you, but I just...I just...I just seem to like you, and I want to be your friend! I know it sounds crazy, but there is just something about you that I seem to like! You seem like a really sweet guy, along with the fact that you are the brother of one of my fiancee's best friends! So...would you consider it?"[/color]

[Kyza Kiryu]

"I know how it feels about dark places.... you feel everything is your fault, so you dont really fight back or try to defend yourself, and least at first. But then you start to fight back to stay alive, but it isnt really self defense, or emotional defence.... you just obliterate those that hurt you..." his grip tenses, but then slackens, thinking about how he was treated in his world, the looks, the attacks....

"I'm happy for you Aki. You truely are an amazing woman. Why..." he speaks with tears on his cheeks, but no hint of his pain in his voice, just sounding as cheerful as ever, "..I hope one day the woman I fall in love with is just like you. You're strong, beautiful, compassionate, pretty, determined.... this Yusei guy is the luckiest man in the world to have you! So of course I'll be there when you get married. It'd be my honour, if I'm still here of course.... I mean, war is tough. Gotta make this world safe! Safe for yours and Yusei's children to live in!"

He laughs, a laugh so like Kiryu's, but so full of hidden pain.. when he next saw Itsu, he'd have to speak to her about helping him cope. If he ever saw Itsu again...

"I have to do something." Rex says, and his duel disk reverts back into his arm. Rex starts running, jumps, and breaks his rod, causing his Light Cycle to appear around him. He pulls out his other rod, and breaks it, causing it to turn into a tracking device, allowing him to locate other Light Cycles. Rex speeds off, and his arm glows and his duel disk rises out of his arm, but unlike his duel with Jaden, his duel disk has not actually swapped places with his arm, so he can still easily pilot his Light Cycle. He pushes a button on the tracking device, and heads towards the City's center, seeing the only activate Light Cycle is heading towards the center of the city. "I don't know why, but I feel like I have to duel whoever is on that Light Cycle."

Aki felt a lot better, especially with Kyza's arms wrapped around her waist. She glided the Light Jetcycle down to the street, and the add-ons disappeared, turning the Light Cycle back into a Light Cycle. [color=#FF1493]"Thank you, Kyza. This means a lot to me, and it will probably mean a lot to Yusei, whenever I find him."[/color] She then spotted a Light Cycle gaining on her. [color=#FF1493]"Hmm...looks like he wants to duel. Kyza, would you like to duel this kid?"[/color]

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the center of the city, a shuttle landed in the main plaza, and about a dozen or so official-looking Users and Programs, along with armed bodyguards, emerged, and started to head for the Administration Tower. [color=#9ACD32]"That Admin b***h had better be here today, or else I am going to be pissed."[/color] One member of the delegation, a blond-headed man with an olive-green uniform and orange sunglasses grumbled.

He swiftly wipes the wetness from his face, thankfull for the bulky shades covering his eyes as he glances towards the approaching cycle.

"Ah, my eyes... bit of a sting to them from the ride" he chuckles, looking back to Aki and shaking his head, "if he's a kid, you handle it, take him on quickly and then get back with looking for the others. As for being there...." he smiles, and says the most honest thing he's said to her this entire time, "I'd do anything for you, Aki."

Rex's duel disk still wasn't activated, but upon seeing the person he had spotted on the tracking device, he puts his identity disk onto his duel disk and it activates. He stops his Light Cycle right beside Aki's. He glances in Aki and Kyza's direction, and then he removes the tracking device from his Light Cycle. "Duel!" Rex says, quite seriously, as if he won't take no for an answer. "I'm Rex Hiyabusa, a robot created specifically for dueling! I normally teach new users how to duel, but my support feature, a tracking device, picked up the signal of your Light Cycle. Now, Let's duel, and You." He glared at Kyza. "I'll duel you after I duel the girl. Now, prepare to duel!"

Aki shook her head. [color=#FF1493]"Aww, come on, Kyza! This guy sounds easy! You can take him! I'm normally very hard to defeat anyways! Besides, you need the practice."[/color]

The delegation walked into the reception area. "Hello. Welcome to City Administration. How may I help you?" The secretary AI asked. [color=#FF8C00]"We are-"[/color] The lead program, an orange-clad airy politician-looking User started before the olive green-clad military man pounded his fist on the deck. [color=#9ACD32]"We're here to see Sigma, or Zarkus, or whoever is currently in charge!"[/color] He growled. [color=#FF8C00]"Calm down, Desna."[/color] The leader instructed. [color=#9ACD32]"This is the 5th time we've arranged a meeting with that irritating woman, only to be denied over and over again! This is an outrage!"[/color] The receptionist quickly started to check to see if Sigma was available.

"Your friend already said no. So, are you gonna duel me or not?!" Rex says, quiet annoyed. "Oh, right. I introduced myself, What're your names?!" Rex asks, wanting to know the names of the people that he'll be dueling. "I mean, of course you could just ride off on your Light Cycle, but my Light Cycle is the fastest Light Cycle you can get. Seeing as I'm a robot, I know exactly how to boost my Light Cycle's speed to the fastest speed possible." Rex grins as he says that. "And my Light Cycle Support, a Light Cycle Tracking Device, will allow me to find you no matter where you wanna try hiding. Now, tell me your names so we can get the duel started!"

[Kyza Kiryu]

Kyza frowns at Rex as he looks to him, taking his Identity disk from behind his back and slamming it down on his left wrist, a duel disk appearing, though in his tension he doesn't know how he knew to do that... The duel disks sync up, choosing each other as their respective opponents.

"Ok dino, a lot of things I'll take, throw insults at me all you want, but calling the Priestess of Plants a girl? No way I'm forgiving you for that one." He looks to Aki, giving her a smirk, "Sorry our 'date's been interrupted, I'll treat you to a movie later to make up for it. If you want to skate, go ahead."

Kyza draws his first six cards, taking first turn priority without asking, he was enjoying his time with Aki and now, stressed out and emotional, he had a fine time to let it out.

"Ok, for starters? I'll throw Infernity Guardian in attack mode," a grim, grinning skull surrounded by electrical plasma fire appeared. "Then, Into the Void" the display DRAW 1 appeared on his display, "I get one card if I have 3 or more in my hand. I counted 5, still got 5. Next, I'll play Infernity Launcher, and use it to send my Infernity Avenger to the graveyard." he discarded the card to his graveyard, "Next, I'll play Twin Swords of flashing light tryce, equipping it to my Guardian. But hey, gotta discard a card for that, so see you Infernity Beast." he discards again, a grin on his face. "to finish I'll set one card face down. So, no cards in my hand, I'll activate Infernity Launcher's second effect and send it to the graveyard to revive my Infernity Avenger and Infernity Beast."

A crazed mechanical gunslinger marionette covered in circuits and a howling pather-like creature with what looked like a helmet over its head appeared on the field.

"So, with Infernity Avenger at 1 star, Infernity Guardian at 4 stars, and Infernity Beast at 3 stars, I'm performing a level 8 syncro!"

The animation for the synchro summon began, taking the form of a terrifying dragon with more then two eyes around its head, lightening and circuitry crackling around its shadowy form.

"I summon Infernity Doom Dragon to the field!" He cries out, so pleased with himself to have achieved the Handless status his father spoke about, smiling as he holds up both his hands.

"Your turn. Oh, and by the way, Into the Void would usually force me to discard my hand, but no cards? No discard. C'mon dino, show me your move"

"Fine!" Rex drew a card and started thinking. suddenly, a dragon covered in blue circuits with what looked like a helmet on appeared. "I play Level Up! Now my Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4 evolves into Horus, the Black Flame Dragon LV 6! I set 2 cards facedown and end my turn!" "And, by the way, I shoulda gone with my best deck if I'd known you would have used Infernitys, kid." Rex grinned, glancing. "And yes, I can use my thoughts for my Identity Disk to duel."

[Kyza Kiryu]

Kyza draws, looking at the field with a frown. Something didn't feel right here, like he was goading him, copying his actions and words. If he was a duel bot, why throw so much emotion into his actions and moves? The feeling nagged at him as he looked at his card in his hand.

"Ok, I'll set another card face down..." he says, taking care with his moves. This was often the dangerous part, his dad had told him.

"Now, I'm Handless again, so i'll use Infernity Doom Dragon's effect, targeting your Horus level 6 for destruction and inflicting half its total attack points to your lifepoints." Infernity Doom Dragon growled, before snarling at the other dragon opposite it

Quaeris had continued riding and saw in a distance what appeared to be a city, [color=red]"Hm, well I at least should know what I'm in for so i have no choice in the matter."[/color] With that he began riding towards the city hoping that there wouldn't be anymore weirdos trying to take him out for no reason.
Anomaly had left his hiding space and found himself at the edge of a city(different one than Quaeris) and was trying to find his way in, he had been to few cities and each one tended to have its own rules.

"The god cards?" Ryuuga questioned, "They sound so familiar, but everything from my past is erased from my memory.". He tried to remember harder but the only memory from his past was the same one as it had always been. "All I can remember is that I had all my dark intentions purged from me and it turned into a virus known as KNIGHTMARE. A collection of all my human qualities that weakens people and causes destruction. All my worse qualities took my memory with it leaving only the memory of what happened.". He tried harder to remember what had entered his mind when he saw the gods. "But when I saw them something reentered my mind. I think I remember something about a tournament for some prize long ago. Something to do with Kaiba Corp." But the harder he thought, the less clear it became. Then his deck started to glow. He removed his deck from his duel disk and looked to see what was going on with it. He pulled out three cards that looked like dark versions of the god cards. "I remember now!" He exclaimed, "I entered a tournament it was a little bit after Yugi had died and since nobody ever defeated him the god cards and these Jashin had no true owner. So Kaiba Corp decided to use their new device that turned matter into data and send a duelist in with them to guard them and not let them fall in the wrong hands. I won the tournament but thought I was to weak in my qualities to control the true gods and sealed them here. I removed those qualities afterwards and created KNIGHTMARE. This is my true body because the system turned me into data then overloaded."

Sigma gritted her teeth in frustration, there was going to be hell to pay for why the Shrine of Forgotten Promises had resurfaced in this this world. 'Zarkus' she stated. 'Why is the shrine reconnected to the Virtual World? I am certain I did a pretty good job of disconnecting it in order to prevent something like this from happening again' she added with a glare. There was a light beeping noise, with which Sigma answered by opening a video link window. The seceretary was on the other end. 'Miss Sigma, there are some Users are here to see you' she stated. The window closed, cuasing the woman to growl with frustration. 'Later, you tell me everything' she said to Zarkus. The mouse curcor appeared above her and and dragged a box around her; Sigma then flipped out of sight.

She flipped back in at the Admin Office. She turned tot he secretary, before noticing the group of Users. 'You'd best make this quick, there is some crap going on here that is quite clearly giving me a headache, and I don't need obnoxious complaints to further it' she said savagely.

The leader put on his best diplomatic smile. [color=#FF8C00]"Hello, Chief Administrator Sigma. As you possibly recall, I am Keith Sleze, representative for At-LAN+12 Colony on the Colonial Council."[/color] Sleze pulled up a map of the Virtual World. [color=#FF8C00]"As you know, The City is surrounded by the Grid, a large expanse full of race tracks and other interesting landmarks, but the Grid ends approximately 150 klicks out from the outskirts of The City, which has an 50-klick mean radius. At the end of the Grid is the Outlands, a hostile and dangerous place full of viruses and other nasties, as well as untold treasures and Energy deposits. This is where the Outlands Colonies come in. We are a collection of mostly independent communities that service The City with various jobs."[/color] On the map, arranged in a clock around the roughly circular border of the Grid, were 12 dots. [color=#FF8C00]"Starting from the north and going clockwise, we have my colony, At-LAN+12, which specializes in Energy distribution, L-Mur1A, my colony's closest ally and home to several Energy refineries, 2amBaLa, the home of many architects and construction AIs, E-D3n, where many of your V-Sec officers go to train and generally a very militant colony, Co-Lumbi4, a colony specializing in researching new Subroutines, like new Light vehicles, Y5, which has a wonderful Colosseum, Shan-6rila, a sanctuary for the injured and the location of a top-notch medical facility, N&w Pripy@7, an industrial colony, 8a-Bylon, an agricultural center, N&w 9om-9eII, the start of many expeditions into the Outlands, Ava-10n, a leader in viral defense, and Cibo11a, where resources gathered from the Outlands are gathered and shipped."[/color]
However, two more dots appeared, one red dot farther to the south of Shan-6rila, and another to the north of At-LAN+12 that was black and had a black circle around it for several klicks. [color=#FF8C00]"Of course, not represented in the Council or this delegation are the colonies of X.I.13 to the south, where the worst prisoners are sent, and Mo-0, the lost colony to the north from which no one has ever returned from. Now, what we want to discuss is-"[/color]
The olive-green delegate that was rude earlier shoved Sleze out of the way. [color=#9ACD32]"Desna Adats. E-D3n. Now, one of the things we have done recently is build a special transit system called the Intercolonial Tramway, or 'ICT', connecting all of the colonies together."[/color] A rough ring went from At-LAN+12's dot all around to the other colonies before looping back to the beginning. [color=#9ACD32]"However, we also want to connect The City to the ICT."[/color] Lines appeared connecting The City to the colonies like spokes on a wheel. [color=#9ACD32]"The only problem is that we have hit a snag. A big one. Every time we try to build the initial extension from At-LAN+12 to The City, Trihsder's little band of merry men, or something else, comes along and destroys it! We are getting tired of our requests for additional security to get constantly denied by the very people we are serving! The Colonial Council is beginning to have trouble accepting The City as the central authority if you can't help us with a project that will bring us together! This is the fifth time we have tried to contact you, and only now are you actually answering!!!"[/color]
Sleze tried to regain control. [color=#FF8C00]"What we are trying to say is-"[/color]
[color=#9ACD32]"Can it! We want some additional security, or some control over your yellow friend, or there will be consequences!"[/color]

Sigma's eyes had begun to glaze over half-way through the tired monologue. Only after they had finished did she mentally wake-up. 'Been trying to get me five times before? Did no one tell you that I have been in hibernation for several years? After the events that almost ripped both worlds a new one last time I went into digitized sleep in order to run system maintenance as effectively as possible. The hibernation was also called on after the Virtual World was shut down from the public, leaving only Zarkus and I here, along with a few others. Only a few minutes ago have I reawoken after the machine keeping me in suspended animation melted' she explained. 'Also, when dealing with goons, play children's card games, it always worked before' she added. 'Now, is there anything else you'd like to b***h to me about?'

Desna was looking very irritated. [color=#9ACD32]"Listen, honey! Ever since you have gone into hibernation, things have gone to hell in a handbasket! A hacker calling herself 'Teslarc' and claiming to be from Mo-0 has been causing wanton devastation to your precious City, while a powerful virus called 'Vector-A' is slowly and unpredictably taking out Mods, GloMods, and Admins, destroying anything and anyone who gets in between her and her quarry! We would love to help, but the current transportation arrangement isn't working! Help us build the tramway, and we will help you with your crises! Simple as that!"[/color]
[color=#FFA500]"If only it were that simple."[/color] A voice replied from the shadows.
A man dressed in black armor with golden circuitry stepped out of a nearby shadowed corridor. He had average brown hair, average brown eyes, and was totally average looking in every way, except he carried this aura of menace about him.
[color=#FFA500]"Greetings, Chief Administrator. I am Cireneg Trihsder, a humble program who wishes to institute a little order in these dark times."[/color] He bowed to Sigma.
[color=#9ACD32]"You're a murderer and a monster!"[/color] Desna proclaimed.
[color=#FFA500]"Sometimes regretful actions have to be enacted."[/color]
[color=#9ACD32]"'He who gives up freedom in order to obtain security deserves neither freedom nor security!' Benjamin Franklin!"[/color]

Madam Administrator, that is what we need: change. We need to crack down on the forces tearing us apart, not squabble over a petty railway when you have perfectly good convoy routes."[/color]

[color=#9ACD32]"That is leading raids on vital equipment!"[/color]
[color=#FFA500]"Maybe you are lying so you can have an excuse for poor production results over the last decacycle."[/color]

[color=#FFA500]"And here we are, back to using me as a scapegoat. And I thought we were all civilized people. I honestly considered you country bumpkins to be better than this."[/color]
[color=#9ACD32]"You take that back!"[/color] Desna then leapt forward, about to attack Trihsder.

Zarkus began examining the data of the area. He checked the records and even surveillance, but found no evidence of the events that just occurred happening. It was as if it was a hallucination. He widened his eyes, and stated his idea loudly: "...time dilation!" Jack looked at him like he was crazy for a moment, but then walked over to him. "What do you mean?" Jack said, the concept not foreign to him. It was what Team New World did after all during the Riding Duel Tournament that started all of this. Zarkus walked up, and placed his hand on his chin, sighing. "They turned back the virtual clock around the area to right before it was sealed, allowing them free access. However, the power required to do it could only be obtained through a duel of the magnitude we had." Jack merely looked at him in disbelief.

Meanwhile, the cloaked figure walked into a mysterious room and sat on a chair in the middle of two other ones, two other cloaked beings sitting there, one with a black mask and one with a gray. Neziarx reformed his mask, now white, and looked directly forward, two of the three god cards floating out of his deck and landing in the laps of those sitting next to him. The one with the gray mask looked over, and said a single phrase:

"Greetings, Law."

Quaeris had reached a massive city and was pretty surprised to find that it didn't seem to have any defenses with all the trouble he had getting here he figured that they would would at least have a little security. After riding around for a few minutes he noticed that everyone in the city had outfits similar to the others he had seen only the color was diferent the ones that had attacked them were all yellow and these people had a different color, eventually he pulled over over to someone to ask them for some help. [color=red]Excuse me but do you know where I can find someone named ZONE?[/color]

Sigma was watching them both argue pointlessly, they both gave good points granted, but, at this point in time, there was only one option here. They were too busy arguing as Sigma began typing into a console she created. Panels in the roof moved away as two large weights came crashing down, crushing both Desna and Trihsder. The weights didn't move, allowing Sigma to address Keith personally. 'Don't worry about them, they've just been compressed that's all. Besides, they were gettign on my nerves; now then, what exactly is the issue your group is trying to address, besides tram lines and saboteurs' Sigma inquired pleasantly.

"I activate Temporal Displacement!" MIA had changed back to her cold self and as she activated the Trap card the Hunter that was charging for her beetle freeze in the air, and at the same time a Dinosaur-like creature appeared next to MIA's beetle. "You see, time is tricky. Temporal Displacement can only activate when one of my opponent's monsters attack It freezes time, negates the attack and if I control a Tempus monster it also places another Tempus monster on my field!"

The dinosaur roared and looked ready to attack, a point displayer appeared above it's head showing 1800.

"This is my faithful, servant, Tempus Raptor!" MIA explained and chuckled again. "Now that your token can't attack, just go on."
