Kyza notices the change to his armour, smiling contentedly at seeing his favourite colour before glancing over to see Aki, giving her a gentle nod.

"Got it. So best not to race too far ahead when teamed up with another, right?" He keeps his speed level to hers, impressed by his bike's power, "And I'm also assuming that when we stop, the light wall vanishes, just like yours did earlier."

Once he was at a comfortable enough speed and handling his bike easily, he glances to Aki, "Ok, lets get this lesson started teacher."

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Aki pressed a button near her handles that turned her lightwall off, then pressed the same button to turn it back on. [color=#FF1493]"You can choose to play with lightwalls or not, but since most people do, we will as well. The trick is to be mindful of other players' lightwalls."[/color] She pulled out her Identity Disc, and set it on the console in front of her in a special slot. Immediately, a holographic screen popped up on her display, and a similar one popped up in front of Kyza, telling him to place his Disc in the same slot. [color=#FF1493]"This is how we start off a duel on Light Cycles. Just be careful, and remember that Light Cycles do not have an automatic driving mode. You have to drive and duel at the same time. Fortunately, we have a 10-klick wide, 10-klick long square to play in, which is much more than you will be dueling in normally."[/color]

Taking the Identity disk, he carefully places it in the slot, glancing over to Aki, "that's ok, the duel runner i was learning on didnt have an automatic drive mode, so i should be ok... just got to remember to keep the speed not too high or we'd run out of space in a long duel" he chuckles, thinking of home.

"Since I'm a little rusty, how about ladies first? then I get to see how to handle things and also get to be a gentleman" he winks, but realises how silly that is, given the large shades covering his eyes, so instead he just smiles, "besides, I want to see the great Aki in action." He revs his light cycle, but loosens the clutch, mostly just making engine noise rather then shooting ahead

The girl continued her journey, only stopping to examine the occasional object along her path but remained nonetheless undisturbed. Her journey had been uneventful thus far and so she continued, seeing no real need to stop.

However she paused suddenly, sensing a massive release of energy in the direction she was walking. The sensation lasted for but a moment before it vanished; leaving the girl to wonder what had just taken place up ahead. She began moving again this time faster, her slow stroll becoming a rapid walk as she came upon the sight.

She arrived in time to see a mysterious man vanish into a portal while another tried to stop him with little success. Dream Eater watched these actions from a distance before moving closer, noticing two more figures, one on his knees and the other, a female, standing beside the first man. She looked between the three of them for a moment, silent.

“Too late?” She voiced aloud, sounding as though not even she was aware she was saying it.

She continued to stare at the scene before her, her head lolling to one side slightly and a curious frown on her face.

Aki blushed underneath her helmet, but fortunately, the glass was set to one-way. [color=#FF1493]"Now listen closely. Your Identity Disc functions as your Duel Disk. For beginners, like you, you can just punch in commands that pop up on a holographic display on the Disc, but, if you think you're hardcore enough, you can touch the Disc and simply communicate to it by thought. It is very difficult to master, but much faster. Only do that after your Disc knows you enough to fill in your usual commands for you."[/color] She touched her Disc for a few seconds, then removed it from the slot, and threw it out, where it hovered about 20 feet in front of her Light Cycle. [color=#FF1493]"I Normal Summon Witch of the Black Rose in Attack Mode!"[/color] A cute little witch, but with purple-circuited clothing, appeared in front of Aki. (1700 ATK) [color=#FF1493]"Now I can draw a card and reveal it! If the selected card is not a Monster, my Witch is destroyed!"[/color] She drew the card. [color=#FF1493]"Luckily, the card I drew was Phoenixian Seed, so my Witch stays on the field! I place a face-down card and end my turn!"[/color] She quickly remembered something as her Disc returned to her. [color=#FF1493]"Also, Kyza, if you want to duel with Speed World 2, just tell me, and the settings can switch over to that mode."[/color]

He takes note of her actions, studying his bike as a small display tells him to draw.

"Ok, lets see here..." He glances to his cards, taking a quick note of them before copying Aki's earlier move, he throws the disk out before him, drawing one card from his hand.

"I'll set one card face down in defence mode. Then, I'll play Card Destruction, so we both get a new hand." Sending his Infernity Avenger, Escape from the Dark Dimension, Infernity Break and Infernity Dwarf to the graveyard, then drawing 4 more cards.

"I'll set two cards face down and end my turn"

The disk returned to him as he smiled to her, still taking it easy as he adapted to the new dueling style.

"Your turn, Empress of the Everglades" He smiles.

[Aesirson]

MIA now sat in a chair, watching another holographic picture in front of her, this one showing Zarkus and the others. She was smiling, and then noticed the newcommen girl.

"An A.I, for sure, I can tell." She smirked. "It doesn't look like if it has any purpose, maybe it's rogue? Or maybe I'm wrong?" She giggled. Then it looked like if something struck her, her facial expression immediately changed and became dead serious, and she started talking in a cold tone.

"A glitch!" She seemed angered. "Such an abomination is not permitted to live here! And that guy!" She swung her arm up so fast that the screen was forced to dodge the lifted arm. She was pointing at Zarkus. "That guy thinks he owns the place! I'll show him that this place is only big enough for one of us!"

She stood up and seemed to dematerialize into data that floated away into the air, slowly vanishing.

Aki wasn't too disappointed. [color=#FF1493]"Really? Of all of the things you could have called me, you bestow the title of 'Empress of the Everglades'?"[/color] She jokingly chastised. [color=#FF1493]"Are you calling me a swamp hag? That's it! No more Miss Nice GloMod! You're going down!"[/color] Of course, she was kidding. She was still going to go easy on him, but this kid was interesting. She threw out her Disc. [color=#FF1493]"I Normal Summon Cactus Bouncer in Attack Mode!"[/color] A green-circuited spiky plant appeared next to Aki's Witch. (1800 ATK) [color=#FF1493]"Now neither of us can Special Summon monsters while I have another Plant on the field, which I will after I activate Premature Burial!"[/color] A Spell Card appeared on her side of the field depicting a derezzed Program coming back together next to a tombstone. [color=#FF1493]"By paying 800 Life Points, I can bring back Botanical Lion from my Graveyard!"[/color] A lion made of plants, though with green circuitry, appeared. (1600 ATK) [color=#FF1493]"Plus, my Lion gains 300 ATK for each Plant on the field!"[/color] The Lion roared, and got a bit bigger. (2200 ATK) [color=#FF1493]"Now, Witch of the Black Rose, start us off by taking out that face-down monster!"[/color]

"Hold on there Aki!" He presses a button on his display, a Dust Tornado raising up as one of the face downs, "I'm going to destroy that Premature Burial you just played! Now that'll stop your Botanical Lion in its tracks!"

He smiled as he looked at the field, feeling a little tense. He'd never beat Aki in his world, and all he could hope to do is hold out for a while against this Aki. Still, if he could make a good first impression, he... he what? What did he want to do? What was his plan?

He frowns, before looking back to Aki... that's it. He just wanted to enjoy this duel while he could.

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Aki chuckled as her face-down flipped up. [color=#FF1493]"I activate Trap Jammer!"[/color] A magical circle appeared around the tornado and absorbed the whirlwind. [color=#FF1493]"If you had played that card earlier, you might have defeated me, but not today!"[/color] Aki's Witch fired a blot of energy at the face-down monster.

Thousands of feet below, Teslarc was making her move. She drew her card, then she activated Trade-In, sending Gandora the Dragon of Destruction to the Graveyard to draw 2 cards. She then Normal Summoned Kaiser Sea Horse, after which she activated Double Summon, allowing her to Normal Summon again. She Tributed Kaiser Sea Horse to Normal Summon Felgrand Dragon, and attacked Pyramid Turtle.

Ryuuga and Yusei arrived at the spot where the three mighty beasts were. Yusei saw Jack on the ground defeated and jumped off his duel runner and ran to check on Jack. "Jack! What happened here!" Yusei shouted at the people who were there.

Ryuuga asked, "Who summoned those monsters?" He asked the man who had just tried to follow some cloaked figure.

[Kyza Kiryu]

He winces, seeing his Dust Tornado negated, "Aw jeez... this move isn't going to go so well..." He groans as he sees his Giant Germ flipping up, the germ looking more like a ball of corrupted electrical energy, destroyed with ease by her Witch.

"Well, it isnt much but at least you'll take 500 points of damage from destroying my Germ!" He frowns, bracing himself for her next two attacks, "not that that matters since I can't summon my next two Giant Germs because of your Cactus Bounder." He takes a deep breath, as though readying himself, "Ok Aki, go for it..."

[Sunshine Jesse]

Zarkus grit his teeth, ignoring the person who came in for a moment. Jack coughed and stood up, placing his hand on Zarkus' shoulder. "I'm sorry." he said in a weak tone, the duel apparently having weakened him. Zarkus took Jack's hand, and sighed. "It's not your fault. We must find them either way." he said, walking towards the upper left of the hallway, and uttering something. Suddenly, a pedestal arose from the ground with a deck of cards on it. Zarkus reached towards the deck and placed it in his duel disk, his duel disk now glowing a crimson red color, exerting a powerful aura. "Well guys. Looks like I'll have to use you again." he said, sighing. Jack looked around him at the people who entered the room, and explained the situation to them. "And then... the god cards of legend were stolen." he said, looking behind him at where the portal was closed.

Dream Eater continued to stare ahead, oblivious to the other arrivals as they asked what had happened. The girl stared ahead, still as a statue as their questions went unanswered. Her expression faltered about when the man she had seen cursing at the cloaked figure walked over to a pedestal, a deck of cards on it. Her curiosity deepened as he produced a duel disk, inserting the deck into it and muttering something.

Dream Eater rose her own arm, staring down at it with a strange expression on her face, as though she’d never seen it before. She lowered it again as the man on the floor got to his feet and began to address her and the other two, informing them of what went on; how the cloaked figure had tricked his way into the sanctum, stole the god cards and used them to defeat the man before them and fleeing, taking the cards with him.

Throughout this explanation Dream Eater’s expression was blank. She merely stared at the man in front of her, her expression blank save for the occasional curious frown as she recounted his story in her head. In her left eye, a stream of numbers and letters flashed, running across it like a computer screen processing data. She turned away from the scene, taking a few short steps outside and squatting down on the ground, apparently waiting for something.

Aki decided to finish off Kyza. [color=#FF1493]"Time to finish you off! Cactus Bouncer, Botanical Lion, attack him directly!"[/color] The monsters viciously attacked Kyza's Light Cycle, turning it into shards of...whatever the vehicle was made of, as well as some sort of blue glowing liquid. Aki pulled up alongside Kyza once he had skidded to a stop. [color=#FF1493]"And that is what happens when your Life Points drop to zero, or you run into a lightwall."[/color] She explained, her visor retracting so Kyza could see her face. She pushed the blades down on her Light Cycle. [color=#FF1493]"Come on. I'll give you a ride to The City. And don't worry about your Light Cycle. The Rod will reset in an hour."[/color]

[Kyza Kiryu]

He winces from the attack, stumbling to his feet as he picks his Identity Disk up from near his feet, with no bike to hold it it had just fallen to the ground next to him. "At least I did SOME damage" he chuckled as he looked to Aki, glancing over her Light cycle, "An hour? So..." he glances over ther bike again, "So i HAVE to get on?" He walks up to beside her, looking at the space on the seat behind her and thinking cold thoughts, like a cold mental shower before getting onto the seat, settling in behind her as he tries to think of other things, leaning back with his arms by his side, "I take it my deck is safe with my Identity Disk then...?"

Aki nodded as her helmet reformed. [color=#FF1493]"Now, hold on tight. It's going to be a bit bumpy getting back to The City."[/color] As she said this, a helmet formed around Kyza's head. The front looked like Kiryu's helmet from when he was a Dark Signer, but the back was more like Aki's. She zoomed towards the nearest edge of the giant Grid. [color=#FF1493]"Safety barriers off."[/color] She commanded the Processing computer, which complied, shutting down the energy field surrounding the Grid. She kept going faster and faster, until they finally reached the edge, at which point, they flew off into the abyss. The Light Cycle plummeted through the cloud layer until they finally broke through, and a beautiful city of lights appeared in front of them.

[Kyza Kiryu]

"Oh SH-" Kyza gasps as Aki heads towards the cliff, startled by the sudden acceleration. He tried to keep his hands back by his side, but he kept feeling he was going to fall, so he leans forwards, shutting his eyes tightly as he wrapped his arms tightly around her smaller frame, hugging into her. He couldn't see the edge approaching, but he knew it was getting closer, holding her tighter as he tries to relax before that strange feeling of weightlessness overtook him, feeling the air whipping past him, past them, yet still he hugs into her. He was terrified of heights, and though the view was probably glorious he was scared, focusing just on her, Aki knew what she was doing, she always did, but he was still trembling as he held her and tried to get his heart to calm down.

MIA suddenly appeared behind Dream Eater and laid her hand on the little girl's shoulder. MIA had a kind smile on her lips.

"Hello, little girl." She said kindly. "You're a cute one, to bad I have to exterminate you."

She giggled, and her kind smile turned into a malicious grin. The giggle soon turned into laughter, as she slowly backed away from the girl, a Duel Disk materializing on her arm. She stopped laughing and pointed at the girl.

"Duel me, if you win, you will have to suffer the punishment of existing. If you win, I will go away for now!" She chuckled and her Duel Disk activated.

The girl continued staring forwards as another figure materialized behind her, going so far as to place a hand on Dream Eater’s shoulder, saying something. The stranger began to giggle softly, a giggle that soon became a malicious cackle as she challenged the girl to a duel, dramatically declaring the conditions of victory. Throughout this event the girl merely sat on the ground, staring forwards and apparently ignoring the woman.

After a moment or two the girl looked around, spying the woman standing behind her and staring as though she’d only just noticed her. She got to her feet slowly, turning around to face the woman.

“Duel?” She said the word in a strange way, as though she didn’t understand what it meant.

She raised her arm again, staring down at it. All of a sudden she extended it outwards, fragments of data flying around it until a duel disk formed on her arm as well, a metallic pink duel disk with a butterfly style design. Dream Eater brought the disk in front of her, staring up at the woman with a blank expression.

“Duel,” she said, this time with more familiarity as her deck of cards shuffled in their holder.

"Yes. Duel!" MIA said and drew her opening hand and threw a quick glance at it. "I start! DRAW!"

She drew a card and looked at it, placed it in her hand and then picked anoher card from her hand and revealed it to Dream Eater.

"I summon Tempus Beetle!" She shouted as she placed the card on the field of her Duel Disk. The beetle shown in the card's artwork appeared in front of her, but quickly turned grey as it was summoned in Defense Mode. "Tempus Beetle is a Level 4 DARK Tuner." MIA explained and chuckled. "I also set four cards face-down, and end my turn at that!"

After her turn ended, she smiled again, not in the maniac way, but in the innocent way.

"The countdown to your destruction has begun~" She said and giggled.

Dream Eater gazed down at the beetle monster the woman had summoned, completely ignoring the fact that she had just ended her turn. The girl looked up again, placing a hand on her deck.

“My turn,” she said dully, taking a card from her deck and adding it to her hand.

She gazed down at her cards as though she’d never seen them before, perusing her hand with a puzzled expression. Finally she took a card from her hand and placed it in her spell/trap zone, a larger hologram of the card flipping round in front of her to reveal a spell card.

“Dream of Hunters, activate!” She commanded.

The spell card glowed brightly and a warrior clad in leather armour and carrying a spear stepped out of it, emerging onto Dream Eater’s field, it’s ATK displayed above it as 1500.

“Dream of Hunters summons 1 Dream Hunter Token to my field,” Dream Eater explained in the same monotone voice “And for each Token I control his ATK is increased by 500.”

The hunter’s ATK quickly rose to 2000

“Hunter Token, attack Tempus Beetle!” Dream Eater ordered.

The warrior charged forwards, raising its weapon to bring down upon the opponent monster.

Lore: Normal Summon 1 "Dream Hunter Token" (Warrior-Type/DARK/level 4/ATK: 1500/DEF: 1500). A "Dream Hunter Token" gains 500 ATK and DEF for each Token you control. When a "Dream Hunter Token" is removed from the field, return this card from your Graveyard to your Deck.[/spoiler]

[Knight of Golden Shadows]

Rex wandered aimlessly around the City. He noticed a AI, which he recognized as Jaden Yuki. "Hey, you. Duel me?" Rex asked, quite loudly. "Sure! Get your game on!" The AI says, a duel disk materializing on his arm. "Good. Prepare to duel. Selecting Deck...Deck selected...Duel." Rex says, his arm turning into a duel disk. "I'll go first." Jaden declares. "I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack mode!" Jaden says, as a portal appears in the ground, and a man in armor rises up from it, with a counter with the number 1600 above it. "I end my turn." "It is my move. I activate my spell card, Fortissimo, the Moving Fortress! With it I can special summon my Robotic Knight! And now, I summon Machine King Prototype! Thanks to Prototype's special ability, it gains 100 attack points for each Machine Type monster other then it on the field!" Robotic Knight: 1600 ATK, Machine King Prototype: 1700 ATK. "I end my turn."

Aki pulled out her second, shorter Rod, and broke it. Wings started to materialize on either side of them, fusing with the bladewings, as a cockpit formed around the pair. The front wheel retracted back into the frame of the craft, while the back wheel split in two and folded themselves up underneath a rear set of smaller wings attached to the engine-like pods on the back. In the place of the back wheel was a powerful engine that started to emit a pink light ribbon. Two turbine pods below the main wings completed the new Light Jetcycle as they stopped falling and started gliding. [color=#FF1493]"See? We're perfectly fine! This is my support module, made by my beloved Yusei, just like he made the real-world version of this Light Cycle!"[/color]

Trihsder growled and slammed the armrest he was previously leaning against. That damn kid somehow destroyed some of his best Programs and ruined his fun! Trihsder recomposed himself. He has no time to waste on children. He had an important meeting to crash...

[Kyza Kiryu]

Though she doesn't know it, Kyza's eyes have opened slowly at her words. 'Beloved Yusei'... it seemed to echo in his head with that familier unpleasent coldness ebbing into his heart as his arms slacken around her waist.

He knew it would happen, knew it would be true just like Itsu had told him that night.
"In your world, Aki married Kiryu and had you. In mine... well, its complicated, but basically my mom and dad are Aki and Yusei. Its like destiny draws those two together, as it keeps reoccuring."

Still, he had confidently said he understood, said he wouldn't be bothered... but that was then and this was now.

"sounds like this Yusei guy is pretty special to you!" He asks, not wanting to hear the answers, not wanting to know but having to pretend to keep it up. Perhaps it would never be. It wasnt to be in his own world, it made sense it wouldnt happen anywhere else either...
