Sunshine Jesse
Chaos rose his finger up at the card, but was truly speechless. "I uh... I..." he said, looking through his facedown cards. He could only really do one thing, but even then he wasn't sure of Toxico's effect. Considering that it looked bigger and more badass then his own key monster, he assumed that it would destroy him in short order. So, Chaos decided to cut the foreplay, and flip his face-down card: Waboku, buying him a turn unless Toxico inflicted burn damage. Then he would almost literally be f***ed. The Warden
Carmine raised her right hand over he left breast, where her heart would be. 'I pledge when all is poison, I pledge when all is decay' she stated. One of the chains holding Toxico broke, it became a little more lively. 'From Wasteland I am born, to Wasteland I die' she continued, another chain breaking. 'I offer to thee my King, my undying service. May my body pave the road of your victory, with which my body will carry your name. Upon the glorious name of Toxico, I announce this promise for you, my king' she cried, with each few words a chain broke, until the end, freeing Toxico. It became a little berserk, it's form literally exploding and showering the field in darkness. When any vision was returned, they would notice the field had become a wasteland. Behind Carmine was the true Lord Toxico. His six eyes glared down at Chaos, but he didn't attack. 'I'll set one more card and end my turn' Carmine conceded, stupid Waboku. She discarded two cards to the grave. Sunshine Jesse
Chaos rubbed his eyes at the massive monster, but quickly decided to make his next move. "During your End Phase, I can have you draw 2 cards to Special Summon Agent of Chaos- Alice!" he declared, as a girl wearing a blue victorian dress rose up from the ground. He drew his card as Matador and Alice vanished, the Synchro Summon animation activating. "Show them the extent of the power you hold within! Free this world from the shackles of authority! Synchro Summon, the herald of Lucifer! Agent of Chaos- Hito-Shura!" A humanoid figure with weird markings on his body rose from the ground, glowing brightly. "For every card in our hands, he gains 100 ATK. Since we both have 6, his ATK becomes 3800." he said as his face-down Quick-play spell, My Body as a Shield, vanished as a skeletal Violinist rose from the ground on Carmine's side of the field. "I can summon Death Violinist to your side of the field in attack position by destroying 1 card I control. In exchange, I get to draw a card." he said, Hito-Shura's ATK rising to 3900. "Now, Hito-Shura! Attack Death Violinist! Gaea's Rage!" Chaos declared, as the ground under Violinist cracked, a massive wave of energy shooting up under the skeleton. "I win." The Warden
After the Violinist was summoned, a wad of slime covered it and forced into face down position. 'Due to the draw effect of Violinist, I could chain my Toxic Slime Counter. It can be chained to monster trap and spell effects that have been activated, forcing them to become face down. Then, Toxico Slime Counter resets itself. Sorry Chaos, you won't achieve an easy win against the counter-active power of the Toxic S Counters' Carmine boasted proudly. Sunshine Jesse
"..." "..." "...Then I Special Summon two copies of Matador, using the effect of the first one to destroy one of my tokens and give room for the second, allowing us to draw four cards each, making Hito-Shura's ATK points 4400! I attack your Lord Toxico, and have my two Matador attack you directly for game!" he declared, as all of his monsters went forth, attempting said attacks. His wanton usage of offense was showing that he wasn't considering his options well, and was quite obviously getting frustrated. He more or less ignored Carmine's other three cards "knowin"g that he could negate them, but didn't think for a second that they could be Counter traps, which Hito-Shura could not negate. -if the attack fails, because I gotta go to bed- He set two cards and ended his turn as he continued to fume. The Warden
'Pity you didn't target a token, because, right now I'm forced to activate my Smoke Counter to stop the destruction of of Lord Toxico. It then resets itself' Carmine said as smoke covered the Lord. Her LP was reduced, but Toxico was okay. 'This is the end Chaos' Carmine said as she drew her next card. 'I activate my face down Chaos Poison, milling five cards from my deck in order to destroy your monsters' she explained, foul green mist began to cover Chaos' monster field. Sunshine Jesse
Chaos took a deep breath, and decided to calm himself down. He wasn't going to win if he let his emotions get the better of him. "I activate my face-down Trap card, Seven Tools of the Bandit." he said, as a bolt of lightning surrounded Carmine's Chaos Poison card, quite possibly destroying it. Chaos was going to step up his game now, especially once he realized what was at stake: his life. "Go on, Carmine. I'm not going to lose so easily." he said with newfound resolve, although he realized that his previous mistakes would probably lose him the duel. The Warden
'I activate my Toxic Sludge Counter' Carmine said coolly, a wad of black matter crushing and forcing the Seven Tools down. She returned a card in her hand to her deck. 'I warned you Chaos, now that you've blown a thousand life points, what will you do? What WILL you do?' Carmine taunted. Her traps was getting to Chaos, sure, she had used the Sludge Counter, but Slime and Smoke were still useable to her. Sunshine Jesse
Chaos sighed, as his cards aside from his one face-down were destroyed by the toxic sludge. He looked up at Carmine and smiled at her under his mask. "Come at me." he said, preparing himself for an attack, one face-down card remaining. It was all or nothing at this point, but he knew that he had one more chance to win the duel, and he was going to take it. "Because even with my Life Point loss, I will still win the duel." he said confidently.
The Warden
'Will do' Carmine said sweetly as she played a new spell card. 'I have annihilated your monster field and made useless one of your traps. Penalty isn't scary anymore, and the other trap you have and the cards in your hand are worrying, but no fear cup cake. I play the Festering Swamps, at the cost of one thousand life points and a card to my deck' she said. All over the field large swampy areas formed. Lord Toxico breathed in the fumes and gave a rumble of content. 'Until your end phase, monster, trap and spell effects cannot activate. Including those in your hand, deck or extra deck. It's over Chaos, Lord Toxico, attack with wrath of toxico' Carmine ordered. The sigils floating around Lord Toxico glew with epilepsy causing green light. The Warden
Carmine was taken aback by the mask. 'What the hell is this?' she demanded, before remembering. 'Lord Toxico, ceasefire' she ordered. The monster complied, stopping his attack and seemingly was disgusted by Chaos. 'What the hell are you?' she demanded, but kept an eye on Slifer. 'What the hell did he even chain that card to?' she thought. The only thing that he could have chained too was Festering Swamps, and that was a spell card. Sunshine Jesse
Chaos drew a card from his deck, as the mighty dragon roared. "Slifer the Sky Dragon! Attack Lord Toxico now!" he said, as a massive blast of lightning shot out of the dragon's mouth, matching Lord Toxico in power, both of the creatures destroying each other. There was a predictably massive explosion, as Chaos ended his turn, Slifer self destructing and Chaos' Life Points reaching 0. A large amount of concentrated energy resonated throughout the area, as Zero walked through a portal, holding a card up as the energy flowed into it, the card itself apparently nearing completion. Slifer rose up from Chaos' duel disk into Zero's hand (unless someone tried to catch it), as Chaos began disintegrating from the feet up. "Farewell, Chaos." Zero said in a somewhat mocking tone, as Chaos grit his teeth, but smiled. "I know you'll revive me." Chaos said, as his body completely vanished. Zero walked out of the portal and confronted the crowd. "Now then, I suppose you're wondering who we are?"
The Warden
Carmine acted quickly, sending one of her hands out, she managed to fly in and snatch Chaos' deck as he disintergrated, he wasn't going to need it. 'Not really, I know you are Chaos, Zero and Law. You are out to complete Project Solomon by utilizing duel energy generated. The greatest amounts of energy of course drained in a duel involving ace monsters, specifically the Egyptian God cards' she stated succintly. Sunshine Jesse
"Great. I'm surprised that you didn't want to know why our faces are that of certain virtual world inhabitants, who we are, why we exist, and the such. But I'm glad you've spared me the responsibility of providing such pointless exposition. Regardless, Project Solomon is just about completed, Zarkus is dead, and pretty much everyone on the outside world is dead. So Carmine, I must ask you: What do you plan on doing now? The virtual world is being destroyed and there's nothing I can do about it aside from supress it." Zero stated, being very wary not to explain the entire reasoning behind his plans just yet. The Warden
'What you don't understand is that there are people in this world who dislike people messing with our world, specifically people who just so happen to be able to mess with time. Sigma is performing her duties as I perform mine. Plus' she said, sweeping her hand to the others. 'There are many other people who are going to stop you as well. We make our problems and we fix it. We don't need people coming in and playing God to fix our problems'.
Sunshine Jesse
"Then how do you plan on stopping the destruction of the virtual world? The only known way is to lower the energy consumption in the world, and the only way to do that is to force every person in the virtual world into a state of stasis until the energy recovers; hence Project Solomon. Do you really think that we would be doing this if there was another option? We're not malevolent. Law and Chaos were merely programs created by me to protect the virtual world. We've just never been faced with something that would actually completely destroy it until now. Do you know what would happen if the virtual world was destroyed? Millions of artificial intelligences deleted. For good. Now tell me, Carmine. What do you and Sigma plan to do to stop it, when you seem to barely know what's causing it?" The Warden
He was right, but Carmine wasn't going to admit it. 'We may not know what is causing the slow destruction of this world, but, I have a feeling it has something to do with Trihsder, he was responsible for Vector-A, so, I am certain he may be having a hand in the degradation of the world. Hmmm, maybe you know something about that? Trihsder seems rather zealot in his plans to stop the unity of City and the colonies, maybe there is something YOU aren't telling us'. Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna chimed in. Whatever this 'Project Solomon' is, we will find a way to stop it!" Vicky added her own two cents. "I swear, if you were the one who told Trihsder and Sleze to turn me into a monster, I will find some way to rip you apart, bit by bit!" Rhythm clenched her fists and stepped forward as well. "I have lived here all of my life with humans and other programs alike! What give you the right to destroy the home of everyone I know and love?!?" Teslarc joined her comrades. "Of course, you have no idea who is playing...and who is a game piece. I at least know that I am a Knight, serving alongside a Rook..." She looked over at Desna. "...a Bishop..." She then glanced at Vicky. "...and a Queen..." She turned to see Carmine before facing Zero once more. Kyza Kiryu
Throughout the entire duel, the exchange, Kyza had been quiet, practically silent in fact. Whether he was listening or focused on something else it wasn't clear, but his coding flickered slightly like a run down tv displaying an image of static, the lights on his body dimming then restoring, sometimes light blue like a normal Program, and in those brief moments Vicky could sense the Giant within, the curse of Ccapac Apu threatening to emerge as her lover often faced, unusual this time as it was in Vicky's presence. Usually she was enough for Kyza to fight back, to remain strong, but it wasnt that he was weak, or giving up at this moment. It was more like Kyza wasn't entirely there, like he was drifting into a concious and unconcious state as he stood at the back.
Sunshine Jesse
(OOC: Okay I'm done letting this die.) Zero appeared next to Trihsder, patting him on the back. "Begin the next phase of your plans. The preparations are almost finished." he said, slipping a copy of the Project Solomon card into his pocket. "If you're about to lose a duel, then activate this card." Zero said, then opening a portal behind him, but allowing a response from Trihsder before he walked out. Meanwhile, a portal opened up above the city as a female figure descended from it. She wore armor similar to that of Zarkus, except brighter colored and more form-fitting, and had long purple hair. "I guess it's time." she said, waving her arm, as a console opened up in front of her. She typed several things in it, before teleporting away to an unknown location. Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna grinned as he pulled out a square plate and threw it at the group's feet. "Got it, boss! One Aerial Faith Plate, coming up!" The plate landed in the middle of Vicky, Teslarc, Rhythm, Kyza, Mina, and Trudge. As the square activated, creating a plate big enough to accommodate all of them, the former colony leader charged towards the group. The moment he stepped on the plate, it activated, catapulting all of them into the air and towards the Vorpal Blade. Teslarc pulled out several semi-sphere-shaped devices and placed on on each person's back, then activated a switch, which slowed their descent. Finally, the group touched down on the flight deck. "Let's do that again!" Rhythm cried out as a V-Sec officer came up to Desna and Trudge. "Sir, the gridship is secure. We are ready for departure." Trudge nodded. "Good. Desna, Mina, you're coming with me to the bridge. The res of you...umm...do something..." As Desna and the others went off to the bridge, Rhythm turned to Kyza, Vicky, and Teslarc. "So, what should we do now?" Meanwhile, on the bridge, Desna plopped into his seat and punched in a series of numbers, which caused a display screen to pop up in front of him. "Alright, helmsman, you'll find that the controls are now active. Take us forward at half speed, then align us with At-LAN+12, at which point, turn port and increase our speed to full." Trudge sighed and translated for the hapless landlubber. "Go slowly, get At-LAN+12 off to our immediate left, turn left, and go as fast as you can." The drive complied, following their combined orders as the massive vehicle lurched forward. Sunshine Jesse
Jack continued walking throughout the city area, but was stopped. Law descended from the ground in front of Jack, smiling. "Greetings, Jack Atlas." Law said. Jack quickly jumped back, noticeably startled, but Law merely laughed. "Come now, Jack. I'm giving you a new opportunity here. All you have to do is accept my hand, and you can become the Agent of Destruction." Law stated, holding his hand out. "...and if the virtual world is destroyed, you'll be one of the few survivors. Jack stood there for a while, considering his offer, but merely laughed. "Whoever you are, I will prevent the destruction with my own two hands. So you need not worry." Jack said, walking past Law. Law snapped his fingers as the ground they were on sunk into the ground, a massive barrier surrounding the two of them. "I wasn't accepting no for an answer. Since you're aware of the deal, I have to finish you off." Law said, activating his duel disk. Jack smiled and turned around, activating his own duel disk. It was time for revenge. Jack wasn't going to lose a second time. Meanwhile, the purple haired girl was observing the duel through a portal of her own, waiting to make her move...
