Yu-gi-oh: Nightmare of the Virtual World.

Desna snapped his fingers, and a strange creature descended from the ceiling, landing in front of him. This being looked like some sort of mechanical ninja, with an angular featureless mask save for a glowing green visor, a long scarf, black and green armor, and two blades on its back.

[font=Courier New][color=#9ACD32]"Yes, Commander?"[/color][/font] The robot asked in a mechanical, emotionless version of Desna's voice.
[color=#9ACD32]"Go find Teslarc and...take care of her..."[/color]
[font=Courier New][color=#9ACD32]"Affirmative, Commander."[/color][/font] The robot replied before disappearing again.

Vicky felt some sort of disturbance, so she pulled a card out of her Extra Deck and sent it flying out of a nearby air duct. The card zoomed through the vents and out into the open air, looking for something...or someone...

[Kyza Kiryu]

He gazes at the card before him, hearing Teslarc's words, how little sense they seemed to make to him. He was failing. Failing his father, had failed his mother, and couldn't even win this duel. Her words stung, indeed had she attacked his Infernity Doom Dragon he'd be defeated. He felt like prey, a man running from an attacking wolf. Every turn she had been in control, all he was doing was clinging on to life.

But wasn't that just him to a tee? Clinging to life, too pathetic to do anything but cling to life.

Itsu, Teslarc,.... someone in his mind he couldn't quite see but struggled to remember.... they were strong. They never doubted themselves. They duelled and fought for their beliefs.... All he seemed to be was a weak little doppleganger of his father's image, trying to live up to a legend and wallowing in hate when he couldn't succeed. Perhaps, without that, he'd be better....

"...all I wish.... is that I didn't hate myself so much..." his finger brushing the tip of the card as a quiet afterthought, coughing feebly as he tried to focus, to makes sense.

Faze was getting annoyed. "Hey, you still there?!" She called. "Come now, coward! Come now! If you want, you can surrender and be spared from darkness by the claws of Evil Hero Abyssal Inferno Wing." She crossed her arms as her outfit slowly began to change into that of a white robe with a high collar, the outfit of the Emperors. It was only halfway, though. "Of course, that won't save your life. Still. You know you can't win. Your 'despair' isn't as strong as mine is! I was ripped apart from my ordinary life, ripped apart from my own home, ripped apart from my own sanity, and ripped apart from my own existence! My void is greater than yours, and so you cannot hope to win! Even Itsu Solace's strength is powered by her despair! Hah"

By this time, Team Ragnarok had reached the city that it had seemed the two moons had been hovering above, but while most everything else seemed ordinary, they could not shake the feeling that something was not right around there. When asking about recent happenings, they were informed of a blonde man that had somehow survived falling from a skyscraper. When pressed for the details, the citizens gave a description that Dragan quickly pounced upon.

"Jack Atlas," he muttered. Harald looked thoughtful.

"It has been some time since we've come across any of the Signers in this world," he noted. He gazed skyward at the moons again, the Rune Eye glowing. "Perhaps they are needed to protect this world from the impending threat, and as before, we have the same goal, but may not be the catalyst, as with Yliaster's ambitions."

"But we were given those cards to guard," Brave reminded Harald. "Can't say we're useless, can we?"

Harald smiled slightly. "Indeed not. Still, the Crimson Dragon watches over the Signers, and the Polar Gods protect us. This time, they are not so reluctant to help. Jack may know more about the happenings than we do."

"Then I'll find him," Dragan volunteered.

"Just you?" Brave wondered. Dragan nodded.

"If all of us go together, we can only learn and accomplish so much," he reasoned. The other two exchanged glances before Harald gave a small nod. Dragan grinned and turned to leave. They had been told the general direction Jack had ridden off in, but it wasn't much to go on.

As Dragan rode off, Brave turned to Harald. "So what do we do?"

Teslarc watched as Kyza's head started to swell and throb while his tattoos glowed a bright blue. She did something she normally wouldn't do and tried to comfort him through the explosion going on in his head. Finally, he was consumed in an eruption of bright light that could be seen for miles. Both Ghauri and Vicky's card started to head towards the bright light.
When the light receded, Kyza was back to normal, but standing in front of him was an interesting sight. A blue and black armored warrior was standing in front of him. His armor was similar to Teslarc's, but it looked more like Kyosuke's Dark Signer uniform mixed with Aki's Duel Runner outfit. The suit had armor plating and a half-cape on the left side. He then turned back to Kyza, showing off a helmet that looked both demonic and insectoid. In fact, the armored warrior looked like one of those Japanese motorcycle-riding superheroes.
The card in Kyza's hand had turned into a Fusion Monster featuring the armored warrior on the front in a heroic pose.

Faze took a step back for some reason, confidence wavered, but then regained her confidence. "Hopeless!" She declared. "That card too is no match for my Evil Hero Abyssal Infernal Wing!" She then turned towards the other woman. "Do you, Itsu Solace, honestly think a card like that is actually going to beat my monster? Oh, wait, you're not Itsu Solace, aren't you? Just so you know, though, once this person is finished, I will be able to reexist, and then I'll destroy you with the Infinity, even though you aren't Itsu Solace, the one that erased me and those others from existence." She then turned back towards her opponent.

[Kyza Kiryu]

Struggling to recover from the agony that had ripped through his body, Kyza seems silent for the longest time, his head lowered and gazing at the floor. He looked like a shambling zombie, struggling to stand. His shoulders twitched, seemingly in pain, until something happened... something that Itsu had never truely seen, and would startle those closest to Kyza.

He was laughing.

Not maniacal, not wild, a true, genuine, almost happy laughter filling the air as he threw back his head, his red hair flowing back with the action and he laughs, flooded with a joy at something he couldn't explain, something like a weight lifting from his shoulders. His mind was still clouded, still missing something in his life, but this wasn't a concern. This duel was his concern.

As he calms, he steps forward, pointing a finger towards Faze with overwhelming confidence.

"There will be no duel with Teslarc for you." He says with confidence, his stance stronger then before, more confident, "Unlike my father, who is master of the Handless combo.... I am the master of Eternal Handless. And I'm going to finish this, once and for all."

He smiles contentedly, readying his hand to draw.

"Last chance to back out.... care to take it?"

[The Warden]

Carmine glowered, the Virons won't be able to work fast enough to stop those ships. 'Come on you' she said to Victoria and as the whole platform flipped out.

They were at the highest point of City. The ships were encroaching, and we can't have that. Carmine re-routed her voice via the speakers of City. 'THE CITY IS MINE DESNA! I WILL NOT ALLOW A COUNTRY BUMPKIN TO TAKE IT' Carmine roared over the speakers, they echoed far out of the City. She drew a card form her extra deck and raised it high. 'A FORC EBEYOND RECKONING APPROACHES, HIS VERY FORM GREATER THAN THE WORLD. SYNCHRO SUMMON, DEVOUR THE WORLD, TOXICO EDO PLAGIARIUS!' Carmine roared, summoning her monster.

Outside of the city, a large shape began to grow, it grew larger than the city, a tremendous beast bound to the earth. It roared loudly. 'I send every Toxico Monster to the graveyard' Carmine added. The ATK of Edo began to skyrocket, causing it to grow even larger, twice the size of City. 'PLAGIARIUS! (DEVOUR!)' Carmine screamed. The beast began to absorb energy from the planet, channeling it into the spines on his back. With a fatal roar, he launched a hellstorm of green energy bolts towards the incoming ships.

Desna tried to order his gridships to fire back, but his entire bridge crew keeled over, dead. Realizing what had just happened, he took the helm and managed to get his ship to narrowly dodge the bolts. He then punched some buttons, and the ship started to slow down. He ran out of the bridge and down to the hangar, where his personal Light Runner was waiting. He got in, powered the machine up, and drove out of the hatch on the front, heading into The City proper. He then set his dueling systems on auto-opponent, and started summoning monsters, trying to execute an Accel Synchro Summon.

Vicky turned to Carmine. [color=#800080]"You know, he won't be defeated by simply firing attacks at him. He has annihilated entire armies on other worlds. Thankfully, he doesn't have the power he normally wields here, but he still has his tenacity and his uncanny ability to be able to survive anything thrown at him. A show of force can never stop him. It is almost impossible to beat him at his own game, because only three people have ever defeated him."
"Fortunately, I happen to be one of them."[/color]

[The Warden]

'I don't care Victoria, I wasn'y aiming at him anyways. I am going to force him to stop, no one is going to take my city from me' Carmine said as she moved the platform to chase Desna. She returned all her monsters to their appropriate places. She swiftly caught up with Desna. 'Give it up, your men have already been wasted farm boy. Don't bother trying to fight back, my cards are specially designed to be realised, your cards have not. Duel mode won't save you. So stop now, I am assuming control here, and no one is going to try to stop me or try to steal my command' she said coolly.

"[b]What?[/b]" Faze was utterly confused. He meant nothing. He was only a stepping stone, whoever he was. "You ask [b]me[/b] to back out? Even if this was an ordinary duel, I wouldn't back out. Duels are the flesh and blood of the multiverse! I will [b]never, [i]ever[/i][/b] back out! You insult me! I don't know what you plan, megalomaniac, but it won't work! It won't work! Evil Hero Abyssal Infernal Fiend will block out the void of your hand, and my despair will destroy you in i- its entirety!" She noticed that she had stumbled on a word. She had never done that before. There was nothing to fear, nothing to lose. . . .right? Fear was starting to run down her spine.

Desna gave Carmine a very obscene gesture with both hands, and just went faster. [color=#9ACD32]"You're not fooling me, b***h!"[/color] He shouted back. [color=#9ACD32]"You only care about preserving your own sexy ass, and not the rest of humanity! I am simply correcting the status quo, setting it in the favor of the people, not you and your Admin cronies!"[/color] He then noticed Vicky, and slowed back down. [color=#9ACD32]"Vicky?!?"[/color] He grinned wickedly. [color=#9ACD32]"So I guess our tyrannical friend here cured you of your little bug, and now you serve as her toady!"[/color]
Vicky frowned at Desna. [color=#800080]"Desna, do you want to know who gave me all of those nasty viral subroutines?!? Sleze, your associate! You've been used, you stupid blockhead! Sleze has been working for Trihsder! That's why all of your plans have failed, except this one!"[/color]
Desna stopped his vehicle and just stared off into space as the realization that he wasn't the one playing chess, but just a pawn. He clenched his fists and screamed out in rage.

Carmine grinned wickedly. 'Oooh, do another dramatic reveal, his shouting is such a sweet symphony' Carmine said with a grin. 'Also Desna, I want you to meet Patches' she added and whistled, with a flip the viral dog appeared on the platform. 'Whose my cute widdle doggy woggy, yes you are, yes you are' she said to the abomination. 'Wanna pet him?' she offered to Desna. 'Don't worry, he isn't infectious, unless he bites you. And he only bits nasty people don't you Patches?'

Desna eyed the dog suspiciously. [color=#9ACD32]"...I think I will pass."[/color] He then dismissed his Light Runner and went over to the platform. [color=#9ACD32]"Look, Ma'am. I was misinformed by a guy that, in retrospect, really did come off as a scumbag. He just played on my rage, and he will dearly pay for it. So, I'm so-...I'm sor-.....I'm so-......."[/color]
[color=#800080]"You're sorry."[/color] Victoria finished.
[color=#9ACD32]"I am the thing she just said."[/color] Desna replied. [color=#9ACD32]"Now, may I permission to come aboard, pl-...ple-.....pl-.......?"[/color]
[color=#800080]"For the love of Z-one!"[/color] Vicky groaned, frustrated at Desna's inability to use niceties.

[Kyza Kiryu]

His coding burns brightly as he rests his fingers on the top card of his deck and draws it, a swish heard faintly as he looks to Faze with an overwhelming confidence.

"Bet your life?"

He plays the card he just drew, Infernity Launcher. "I play Infernity Launcher! http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Infernity_Launcher Usually, I can use this card to send an Infernity card from my hand once a turn.... or, send it to the graveyard to revive 2 Infernity monsters from my graveyard to the field, only when I have zero cards in my hands" His smile grows, holding his arms out to show his entirely empty hands. Both Infernity Avenger and Infernity Necromancer shimmered back into view.

"Don't worry, they wont stay here for long...." as he spoke, the two monsters began to dissolve, but the coding they were derezzing into was swirling, merging, forming something new.

"You say duels are the flesh and blood of the multiverse..... then with my cold flesh and my dark blood I shall defeat you." His grin growing, not insane but confident, almost proud but not arrogent as he points above himself at a familiar shining vortex above his head, a vortex Allery turned and lept up into after striking a dramatic pose, almost mirroring Kyza's stance.

"When hope is missing and faith destroyed, the warrior of zero chances awakens to revive the love in this world! Fusion summon, Infernity Justice Ranger!!!"

As the vortex shatters behind him, resonating like a sonic boom, Infernity Justice Ranger appeared onto the field.

"But see.... I'm not done yet!" Kyza points to his face down, the face down he played at the start of the duel and had sat there, ignored, even forgotten by Kyza.

"Remember my Infernity Guardian I removed from my graveyard to try to destroy your Dark Gaia? Well I'm bringing him back, and using both him, and Infernity Justice Ranger, for a synchro summon!"

Again, the vortex appears, with Infernity Justice Ranger and Infernity Guardian being sucked within.

Infernity Justice Ranger turned into three blue tuning rings, and Infernity Guardian became 4 stars floating inside. The four stars started spinning around, and the tuning rings expanded out to become seven circles holding a four-armed galaxy in place. A cobalt tunnel of swirling energy was in the center of the galaxy. As Kyza chanted, the galaxy turned into a huge portal that an armored knight shot out of. Unlike Teslarc's Infernity-based Vortex Synchro Summon, which was lithe and agile, Allery was muscular and powerful. His body was now at least 8 feet tall and made his head look a bit too small, even though his mask was much more demonic in appearance. He had wings made of blades, a long tail with a draconic head on the end, and huge gauntlets with flames spurting from the wrists. (3400 ATK)

Faze sighed in relief as she looked at the pathetic Vortex Synchro monster summoned. It looked powerful but it was weaker than her own monster. "Uh, hello? Evil Hero Abyssal Infernal Wing has [b]4600[/b] ATK, while your monster only has [b]3400[/b]. What on earth are you trying to do? Sure, you go ahead and summon that Vortex Synchro Monster, which I know of. Itsu Solace played a card like that! But that was while I was still supreme, while I was the Illumine Empress! While I still existed! You cannot possibly hope to overcome my monster with that pathetic monster of yours! Go on ahead! Hah!" Even so, she still wasn't that sure. Solace's Vortex Synchro had an effect, and so must this one.

[Kyza Kiryu]

"You sure I can't win?" Kyza looks to Faze with a grin, holding his hands in front of himself like a magician ready to perform a trick, "See, Infernity Justice Knight Allery has a few good tricks up his sleeves. One of them works when I'm handless. I can draw..." he raises one index finger up, the number 1 implied, "one card. Who knows? That could be just the thing I need?"

He draws, looking towards the card in his hand calmly, but something about his confident smile spoke volumes

"You play with ghosts, little girl, sooner or later they wake up and pay attention. I play Spiritualism!"http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Spiritualism

"And this spell can't be stopped or negated by any other card! So I'll be returning that spell card Immortal Binding to your hand, by its effect." He smirks, watching his Infernity Doom Dragon's dark aura returning to him as his effect reactivated, "You starting to undersand now?"

Despite his perfectly cheerful grin, the strong aura of Death and darkness loomed over the field, were his creatures chuckling?

"With Infernity Doom Dragon's effect, I can destroy your evil hero. And then, of course, Infernity Justice Knight Allery can attack your lifepoints directly. Those lifepoints you were kind enough to lower for me to play your spell."

The bind that was holding Infernity Doom Dragon was surrounded by ghosts and then they brought the card back to Faze. Faze looked at the card as it went back into her hand. She swore under her breath. "I hate you and all that you stand for." She said. "But no matter. I will always come back! I am forever stuck in the nonexistence of space, and even when I, a being of data, disappear, she will continue to live! I will come back again, and again, and again! Remember that! But, now then, I am afraid I've dueled you without a clue of who you are. You're someone, to be able to do this. What is your name?"

[Kyza Kiryu]

"And as the Master of the Eternal Handless, and the Eternal Void itself, I'll push you right back where you belong. A being beyond Death, walking between worlds like myself.... I'll enjoy our next battle"

Sure enough. Infernity Doom Dragon's effect shatters her evil hero, inflicting half of its total attack points to her lifepoints, before Infernity Justice Knight Allery attacked to take out any that were left. As the ghostly smoke swirls around him, he takes a satisfied breath, relaxing as he looks to Faze. His face was identical to that of his father's, same hairstyle, but he shared his mother's unique hair colour.

"I'm the son of Kyousuke and Aki Kiryu. I'm an ally of Itsu Solace, one sworn to defend the multiverses. My name is Kyza Kiryu."

[The Warden]

'Sure, I'll let you on' Carmine said as she pretended to lean forward. Before she grabbed Desna's hand she pulled away. 'IF you grant me complete contorl of your colonies and all outlying colonies around City. You may think that his is completely unfair, which it is. But look at it this way, I'm sure City would love to get their hands on a rebel leader, who knows what he might know, or WHO he might be aligned with. It would be easy, you know?'

"Good to know that" Faze said as she was hit by the Vortex Synchro monster. The attack ripped out data from her, and One's and Zero's continued to fly into the sky. Her entire body then slowly turned into a green shadow with One's and Zero's dancing all about the place, and then her entire body erupted. For a second, it formed the shape of a butterfly, but then all data flew into the sky, before a strange vortex hole appeared in it, and all data flew into that, returning to the original, who was far, far away. Her voice echoed for a moment in Kyza's head.....

Teslarc slowly clapped. [color=#FF2400]"Bravo. Now, how many Life Points do you have left?"[/color]

Desna chuckled, then he just outright started laughing at Carmine. [color=#9ACD32]"What? Did you think I was the supreme leader? The Outlands Colonies have the Colonial Council, which is led by the individual Colonial Directors. I am Director of E-D3n, the military colony. However, your little attack just wiped out a quarter of E-D3n's population and all of the militia forces we had gathered from around the Colonies. Thanks to you, they are completely defenseless. However, I want revenge against Sleze. Allow me to have my revenge, and my landship, and I will aid you in your fight. I even have a plan to get you control of the Outlands Colonies in one fell swoop."[/color]

[The Warden]

Carmine grinned, she was ecstatic. 'I know you aren't the supreme leader, I just need a loud mouthed meat head on the council to secure my command, so I can make my coup of City and all outlying colonies to seem less tyrannical. You need to think ahead when planning takeovers Desna, your little rebellion put the colonies in danger because you attacked something Sigma made me promise to look after; the biggest power base in the Virtual World. But guess what? You can have your little revenge, but I'll still be the winner here Desna' she bragged.

[Kyza Kiryu]

"I had 1400 lifepoints left..." He says quietly, watching the binary fading from his sight thoughtfully. He had done it.... and felt better for it now. Felt like he was of use to Itsu and her attempts to keep normality of sorts within the multiverses

Kyza turns slowly to face Teslarc, still smiling but less confident and more just self-satisfied, happy with his duel and the power gained by his Trial by Fire.

"That let's me ask one question.... since you said it would be for every thousand lifepoints I have left that you would answer a question. So my question is simple; what is the link between me and Vector-A? She knows about the multiverse, and about me, my secrets.... so I want to know HOW she knows this. What's our correlation?"
