-Griffin
Sacred Phoenix of Nephys, Phantom of Chaos, Pot of Avarice, Future Fusion, Dark Magician of Chaos, Infernity Launcher |Rat Commander| |Beast/EARTH|Level 4|1500 ATK|1650 DEF| |When this card is Summoned, you can discard 1 card to add 1 EARTH monster with 1500 ATK or less from your Deck to your hand. Once while this card is face-up on the field you can return 2 EARTH monsters in your Graveyard to your Deck to Normal Summon 1 EARTH monster with 1500 or less ATK in additon to your Normal Summon or Set.| ++Consistency. ++Swarm. Ratbox is instantly way more playable. |Keystone Golemn| |Rock/Earth/Tuner|Level 2|900 ATK|1700 DEF| |When this card is Summoned, you can send 2 Level 4 EARTH monsters from your Deck to your Graveyard.| Mezuki and Chain Dog are the only targets that activate effects in the Graveyard. Chain Dog is barely playable here. Mezuki is too easy to be dead. Mostly fills to be fodder for various stuff. |Spirit of the Seven Suffocating Sand Storms| |Rock/EARTH/Spirit|Level 4|1500 ATK|800 DEF| |This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card returns to your hand during the End Phase of a turn it was Summoned or flipped face-up. You can send 1 card in your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card. When this card is Summoned, you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field. It cannot be activated in response to this card's effect. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack during the turn this effect is activated.| Try saying that name 5 times fast. No really, try it. It's quite hard. Anyway, they completely lacked s/t removal and now don't. It's also a playable Spirit. Shame you need to reverse the mechanic to make that phrase possible. |Charge of the Plague Brigade| |Quickplay| |Select 1 EARTH monster with 1500 ATK or less that you control. Special Summon 2 level 4 EARTH Beast-Type monsters from your Deck in face-up or face-down defense position. Destroy the selected monster.| If these were real, I might actually play YGO just to be able to exclaim, "Charge of the Plague Brigade!" It just sounds so fun :3 Oh, this searches Giant Rat, Rat Commander, and Super Nimble Mega Hamster. It ensures that the Deck can safely run 60 cards while still being consistent as heck. Fear it, Tronta, for you shall never mill the Ratbox. |Quintessence of Nature| |Fairy/EARTH/Fusion|Level 10|1400 ATK|3000 DEF| |If all level 4 or lower monsters in your Graveyard are EARTH monsters with 1500 ATK or less and there are at least 5 level 4 or lower monsters in your Graveyard, you can return all monsters in your Graveyard to your Deck and Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck. When this card is Summoned, send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard and add EARTH monsters with 1500 ATK or less from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand equal to the number of discarded cards +2. You can Normal Summon any number of EARTH monsters. Mosters Normal Summoned by this effect cannot be tributed, used as Synchro Material, and battle damage they inflict becomes 500.| They needed a way to do stuff when they'd been put on a back foot. The cool thing is that if they try and Solemn Warning it's Summon, you can just drop another, and then another if that's negated, since the return doesn't happen if the Summon is negated. The effect is because a Ratbox boss monster just wouldn't be right if it was doing all the work. The point of Ratbox is having the just the right tool for any situation, not a "DERP I'M A BOSS" tool that just blasts through the situation. More to come, naturally. Ratbox is fun. Decklist has the obvious highlander cards, plus whatever tech I bump into while making it. Rat Commander is really pro here. Like, madly pro. It gives the Deck the swarm it's always wanted and manages to be a second searcher (and Ratbox is all about searchers). So yeah. Rat Commander is really what makes the Deck from Tier 3-4 to Tier 2, all on it's own. I would leave it at that, but the contest said I needed 20 custom cards, so I've got to make terrible designed fluffy filler cards. It's like Konami's R&D making packs that need to reach a certain card count. Link to comment

-Griffin
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. WITH THE KNOWLEDGE I COULD PLUCK FROM IT, TWO NEW CARDS HAVE BEEN ADDED. That is all :3 Link to comment
-Griffin
GUYS. I want some comments before I take this further. >_> Link to comment
.Nu-13
Commander is as pro as it can be. Not much to say here Golem is an OK deck thinner, and good ammunition for Commander Spirit... well, it's name is almost impossible to pronounce It's pretty good with turning any card into MST Charge is awesome. And is chainable. Just epic Quintessence is... a walking OTK. Even if you discard 1 card, you still get to search 3 monsters. But it's still pretty good, I like how it gets around Oppression, Warning etc. Link to comment
-Griffin
How is Quintessence an OTK when monsters it Summons only it for 500 damage? Should I give it 0 ATK itself, since it's designed to be dumped in DEF anyway? Link to comment
.Nu-13
Damn, missed the last part. My bad I dunno about the ATK. I guess you could change it Link to comment
-Griffin
I think I'll leave it as-is. Adds to the versatility. Oh, and fun card: (=o) |Desert Falcon| |EARTH/Winged-Beast|1500 ATK|1000 DEF| |During your turn, when this card battle's a monster, you can return 2 cards you control to your hand to skip damage calculation and return the opponent's monster to their hand.| It lets you recharge your hand for Quint, fight off Synchros a bit better, and just generally move cards around (e.g. clear off a Skill Drain/Decree you activated - and yeah, it's a cost, so works with Drain) Nice and versatile. Also, let's you use Icarus in Ratbox if you want, since let's face it - it can run 6 search cards and and 3 cards to search those, and that's before Duality, Quit, or Mill&Recovery - it's not all that likely to be dead. Still, it'd be really janky tech. Link to comment
.Nu-13
Works with Skill? It's pro that way Link to comment
-Griffin
Final card: |Elemental Hero Naturesage| |Warrior/EARTH|Level 4|1100 ATK|400 DEF| |Once per turn you can select 1 monster your opponent controls and gain Life Points equal to its ATK.| It pays for Injection Fairy Lily, Amazoness Chain Master, and gets Hero support - most notable Miracle Fusion so that Ratbox can now drop random E-Hero Gaia. Link to comment
