Continuous Spell Cards

Uria.dek is fun, but Hamon.dek is terrible because Continuous Spells are generally boring and just not that good. This is an attempt to fix that. These are made fairly quickly, but are hopefully fun.

Spell Research
Normal Trap
Send 1 Continuous Spell Card you control. Draw 2 cards. During your opponent's End Phase, you can skip your next Draw Phase to set this card from your Graveyard.

Just basic draw power. It's a Normal Trap to stop it being too fast or something.

Embodiment of Zeus
Continuous Spell Card
When this card is activated, Special Summon it to a Monster Card Zone. It is treated as a Monster Card (1600 ATK/1700 DEF/LIGHT/Thunder-Type/Level 4). It is also treated as a Continuous Spell Card. You cannot Normal Summon during the turn you activate this card. If this card was destroyed and sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can remove from play 1 Continuous Spell Card to add this card from your Graveyard to your hand. This card is also treated as a Monster Card (as above) while in the Graveyard.

Elemental of Rolling Thunder
Continuous Spell Card
When this card is activated, Special Summon it to a Monster Card Zone. It is treated as a Monster Card (1500 ATK/1200 DEF/LIGHT/Thunder-Type/Level 4). It is also treated as a Continuous Spell Card. During the turn you activate this card, you cannot Normal Summon or declare an attack with other monsters you control. When this card inflicts Battle Damage or destroys a monster as a result of battle, you can draw 1 card. This card is also treated as a Monster Card (as above) while in the Graveyard.

Trap Monsters are a major reason why Uria.dek is fun. This gives a bit of that to Hamon.dek, as well as giving them a way to get some advantage. They're Thunder because Hamon is Thunder and Solidarity is a pretty fun card. That's also the reason for the last clause. LIGHT because Thunder goes with LIGHT well and jank. IDK. Ruling: If the second one inflicts battle damage while destroying a monster, you only draw 1.

Fruit of Transformation
Continuous Spell Card
When this card is activated, Summon it to a Monster Card Zone. It is treated as a Monster Card (0 ATK/0 DEF/DARK/Plant-Type/Tuner/Level 1). It is also treated as a Continuous Spell Card. You cannot Normal Summon during the turn you activate this card. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, place 1 Continuous Spell Card from your Deck onto your side of the field.

I thought it would be funny. It also seems pretty playable outside of Hamon.dek. Important point: The last effect won't work with the Spell-Monster cards, because placing on the field =/= activating. Also, for the next card.

Cursed Spirit of the Thunder Tome
|Thunder/Synchro|LIGHT|Level 5|2500 ATK|0 DEF|
|1 Tuner Monster + 1 Spell or Trap Card.
The effects of monsters this card battles are negated. When this card is Summoned and at the end of each Battle Phase, place this card into a Spell and Trap Card Zone. It is then treated as a Continuous Spell Card with the following effect: During either player's turn, you can place this card in a Monster Card Zone.|

With Burden &/or Solidarity, it's a valid way to beat over most monsters. It also, outside of the Battle Phase, requires at least two cards to get rid of it. Seems like a valid boss monster.

Spell Seal - Mages Bane
Continuous Spell Card
This card cannot be responded to by a Spell Card. Negate the effect of your opponent's Spell Cards. During either player's Standby Phase, they can remove from play 1 card in their hand to destroy this card. Spell Cards you control other than "Spell Seal - Mages Bane" cannot be destroyed during the turn you activate this card.

First clause stops chaining with MST. It lets you play safe from MST/Book of Moon/ect for a turn, and is then likely to force your opponent to lose something. Hard to imagine it being anything other than a +0, but should be nice for playing safely. It should also make equips more playable since they aren't going to be MST'd while you're attacking (and the last clause saves them from Dust Tornado, too).

Maybe more to come, but that really seems like it might be enough for now. Thoughts? Is it terrible? .-.
