[/quote] So you're saying that letting newbs keep posting joke cards in AoC because they don't know where else to post it is the solution? That's the perfect plan. [/sarcasm] When they post joke cards in AoC, everyone gets +1 by trolling the newb. Not only is there spam, more newbs might leave. Now if Joke Cards had it's own section, it can be made so it doesn't add to the post count. That means less people will want to trolll them because they won't get a +1. Most every joke card is spam, there's no real point in having them, and I'd say the mods and admins on the forums are pretty kind in saying you can have an entire thread dedicated to them. A section? or a thread? Because if it's as contained as you say it is, why are they in AoC? As I see it right now joke cards are posted in the Joke Card thread AND AoC. If the Joke Card section is made (it could even be just a sub-section if it's that big of a problem) they would only be posted except for some ignorant people who still post them in AoC. Some may think of it themselves but most probably get the idea from seeing another Joke Card....get rid of joke card thread (and any that arise) you decrease the overall amount of Joke Cards. To counter your post....if people don't see a place for joke cards there are two options. 1. Post it where they think it should go (or ask) 2. Doesn't post it. Then we lose members that way because they don't like being treated badly because they didn't know where to post. That would be solved if there was a joke card section because they would know where to post. 2. That's more idealism. It WOULD be nice to think that they wouldn't post if they didn't know where to post it. But face reality, most of the time, they WILL post their joke cards, and AoC is normally where they post the joke cards. Then others get their +1's and troll. As older members slowly leave, we need new members to come in to keep activity at a reasonable level. This really is an infinite standstill. Not everyone wants to come here and take criticism and strive to make the most balanced and playable cards etc. I think what we're doing right now is limiting opportunities for new members here. And about the thread... didn't think it was a very good idea. People also want their cards to be recognized even IF it is just for humor. A joke card in a thread for all your joke cards gets lost in... all the joke cards. A thread for your own joke cards would be extremly helpful. Who knows.. those newbs whom you are talking about (Legend Zero) might get tired of making joke cards and then seriously want to do what this site is really about... making balanced and playable cards. But it's not just for new members or to contain spam. I would definately use the Joke Card Section if it was created.
