rotfl
i hope this is in the right section, if not, then move to general. so i won a class spelling bee today. it took the entire period (1 hour) and i got a bad headache. i won when the last guy with me spelled "fiend" wrong and i spelled it right. so now i am going to represent 7th grade accelerated language. discuss spelling bees, or like bad mistakes you made in one, or something like that. ^-^

Kiyo
I've been in a lot of class bees, though the words in them are pathetically easy. And yet the other students in my grade still manage to trip up on words like "beginning" and "slewed". What.
rotfl
in our accelerated 7th grade language class, we spell words like "gospel" and "negative". haha way too easy.
Yang Xiao-Long
I was the best speller on my 2nd grade class's spelling tests. "Responsibility" was the toughest word of the year. I was the only one in the class to get it right so I got bonus points In middle school, I was my class's representative and I got pretty far. The word I messed up on I still hate to this day. It was one of those seemingly-easy-yet-different-than-what-you-expected-in-spelling words.
rotfl
in our class, a student spelled a word right, but the teacher counted it wrong. so we had to do it over again. (

Cin
UK don't have one, I've done a few spelling tests and made the same mistakes over and over. Subtle was one of them.
Shradow
1st grade, I lost because I spelled the word "beetle" like "beatle" because of The Beatles... I always represented my school whenever the county spelling bee rolled around. I won the county spelling bee back when I was in the 8th grade, but that was the one year the peole decided not to sign up for state...
Anti-Apocryphal
Apparenly, the stuff found in your nose is spelled "mucous," not "mucus." I got out on that. D=
Zektor
Apparenly, the stuff found in your nose is spelled "mucous," not "mucus." I got out on that. D=
actually, you are wrong the adjective form of mucus is mucous. mucus is correct so unless the person who said the word said adjective form, you are correct. mucous-relating to, producing, covered with, or of the nature of mucus. mucus-a slimy substance, typically not miscible with water, secreted by mucous membranes and glands for lubrication, protection, etc. • a gummy substance found in plants; mucilage. so depends on what happened.
