Abel sat down inside the Pokémon Center and saw Daniel at the PC. "Oh, hey! I got my stock of Poké Balls and Potions already, so whenever your ready to head out to the Red Forest, that's fine by me. I really need to catch some more Pokémon before I can challenge Fernando at the Russet City Gym!"

Abel needed to get some Grass or Water-Types because Eevee alone was not close enough to be a match for Fernando's Pokémon. No matter what, he had to become stronger.

"Sure. And I dont usually nickname pokémon, but maybe...I dont know." Lyle thought about for a while, withdrawing a male Trapinch, saying hi to his parents - who by the way showed less emotion than a rock - and named it 'Flitter' for Daniel. "What about Speedy? After all, I collect fast Pokémon, and Agirudaa is one of the fastest non-legendary pokémon." Lyle said, walking over to the trading machine. "Anyway, here's Flitter." And Lyle inserted the pokeball with the trapinch into the Machine.

Daniel waved to Abel, and inserted the Chobomaki into the Machine. [color=#0000CD]"You wouldn't happen to have a weak little Bug Pokemon you wouldn't want anymore, would you? Because we're going to need for Speedette and Spare, my extra Kaburumo, to cross with my Percival and Raiden. The plan is for me to give you Speedette and Spare for Flitter and the weakling, then we trade Percival for Speedette and Spare for Raiden. You can get release Spare, and I will release the weakling."[/color] He pressed the button, and Speedette went over to Lyle's side while Daniel received Flitter.

Torin burst through the Pokemon Center doors with a little brown Pokemon in its hands. "Nurse Joy! Please help my Kibago! it is badly injured!" he yelled as he sprinted up to the desk setting down his Pokemon on the desk. A group of Blissey came out with a stretcher heading for the injured Kibago on the desk. "Thank you so much." he said to the Blissey as they laid the Kibago on the stretcher and took into the back to mend its wounds. Torin sighed and looked around at all the other Pokemon trainers in the Pokemon Center. He walked over to the P.C. to retrieve a Pokemon from it, but there were people in the way. He patiently waited behind them to access the P.C.

[color=#0000FF]Abel bumped into Torin accidentally as he was trying to get over to his traveling partner, and apologized forthwith. He looked the guy over and noticed something familiar about the eyes that he had seen somewhere else when it clicked in his mind that those were the same he had seen on BlackThorn City Gym's Leader, Clair.

"You wouldn't happen to be from Blackthorn City, would you?" Abel asked Torin, who was just recovering from their collision. [i]If I'm correct, this is one of the legendary Dragon Tamers that I've heard so much about, but he's too young. Could he just be a Trainer then?[/i][/color]

[color=#FF0000]Rylan was training in the Shadow Cave when a wild Gible popped its head out of the ground and attacked his Hitomoshi. "Hitomoshi!" he called out, "Use Night Shade!" Once Rylan had had his enemy sufficiently weakened, he threw a Poké Ball, catching it with health to spare on his Hitomoshi.[/color]

Torin nodded to Abel as he recovered from the collision as well. "Yeah" he said confidently. Torin takes pride in the fact he is from a city of dragon tamers. "Also, do you have any idea why they are taking so long because i'm in bit of a rush" he said glancing over at the people at the P.C. wishing they would speed it up. "I specialize in dragon types as it seems you know." [i]I can't believe people here even recognize my cousins. Lance and Clair shadow out the rest of us, but I guess it's only expected considering one's a Champion and the other a Gym Leader. But I'll make a name for myself here.[/i]

[color=#0000FF]Abel was surprised that he had met one of the Dragon Tamers of Blackthorn City, a legendary type of Trainer that specialized in Dragon-Type Pokémon, which were normally vicious. They were some of the toughest trainers, and it was said that the eighth Gym Leader in the Lotus Region, Felix, also specialized in Dragons, having studied under the Champion of the Kanto Conference of the Pokémon League, Lance.

"Well, do you know of Felix Hardin, the Gym Leader in Zephyr City?" Abel asked, wondering if they had some relation. "He's also from Blackthorn City, I've heard."[/color]

[color=#FF0000]Rylan took the Gible to Professor Aspen's world-famous Pokémon Research Lab in Sienna Town to get it healed and restored to full health. With his new Pokémon, he would be able to challenge the first Gym Leader and get a head-start over the pathetic loser Abel.

"I won't lose to you again, Abel," Rylan muttered to himself as he cut through Umbra Town and into the Red Forest.[/color]

"I have heard of him but i'm not close friends or anything like that" Torin said as he began to think of his cousin. [i]I still can't believe that Lance is an elite four member in Kanto...[/i] "Have you heard of Lance? The dragon Elite four member of Kanto?" Torin asked wandering how famous he is in this region. Torin thought that since Lance was so famous in Kanto, maybe people here even know about him. If so then maybe he could be considered famous as well seeing as he is his cousin.

[color=#0000FF]"Are you kidding me? I don't think anyone [i]hasn't[/i] heard of Lance! He's international ever since he dominated Team Magma and Aqua all those years ago back in the Hoenn Region!" Abel said excitedly, running his hand through his hair. "He's just absolutely amazing for a Trainer!"[/color]

[color=#FF0000]Rylan was walking through the tall grass in the Red Forest, waiting for a Pokémon to appear so he could train his Gible. The Pokémon here would be a good test of his strength before going to the Pokémon Gym in Russet City. "C'mon where are you?" Rylan muttered to himself.[/color]

[i] Just as i suspected. He is even more famous than i expected.[/i] Torin thought as he smiled confidently. "Well, He is my cousin. He gave me a dratini to help me on my travels but i can't get to the P.C. to retrieve it" he said pointing at the people at the P.C. as he slowly lost his patience. [i]Hopefully, i can use lance's popularity to my advantage. Maybe i could make some friends that can help me through this journey.[/i].

[color=#0000FF]"Well, I can't promise my friends are going to move. They're busy trading their Pokémon right now, but we're just about to be gone, so I guess it doesn't really matter when it comes down to it," Abel laughed, hoping the guy wouldn't take it offensively. "Plus, it's not like it's that urgent. You're not trying to save the world or anything. You don't even have a cape!" [i]Wow, that sounded a lot better in my head.[/i][/color]

[color=#FF0000]Rylan heard something down the forest path that sounded like voices, so he walked closer to hear what they were talking about.[/color]

[color=#AB0000]"Hey, you ready for this?" a man dressed from head-to-toe in black asked someone dressed exactly liked him. Standing out from the black was a red and orange flame on the middle of their chests. "I'm getting tired of hunting for Pokémon in the damned forest! Why can't Kade find another group of grunts to do this lame work for him? It's not like we're exactly small in number!"

"Oh, shut up! That's no way to get promoted!" another one said, hitting his partner on the back of the head. "And keep it down! We can't be caught stealing the Pokémon of the forest! They'll call the cops again!"[/color]

[i]No cape? I get it but it wasn't all that clever. Even though i barely know him... I think im going to regret this but...[/i] "Could i join you guys? Not trying to invite my self, but as you could see by the injuries my Kibago had, I have troubles fighting on my own." He said nervously "After i get my Pokemon out of the P.C. of course" he added still nervous. " Once i get my Dratini im heading out for Russet city to challenge the gym leader... but i don't think i can make it on my own" He smiled turning around wondering when his Kibago will return from the room in the back.

[color=#0000FF]"Well, I guess it couldn't hurt to have a Dragon Tamer added to the group considering we've already got a bug maniac, some other guy, and me," Abel said, though he didn't seem wholehearted about it. "But I'm not really the one to ask. It's not like three's exactly a small number either, but four people are a lot of people. We could draw too much attention from ne'er-do-wells from the DarkHeart Organization. No offense or anything."[/color]

[color=#FF0000]Rylan continued to watch the two Plasma Grunts converse as they hunted for the strong, rare Pokémon that the forest was said to contain. [i]Who are these guys?[/i] he thought to himself as he pondered what to do. They didn't seem to be too strong, so he could probably take them on, but what were the chances that they had some half-decent Pokémon. [i]Well, I guess I've only got this one shot. Fame or infamy.[/i][/color]

[color=#AB0000]"Hey! You!" the first grunt called out, pointing straight at the tree Rylan was hiding behind. "Come on out where we can see you!" The grunts raised their Dusk Balls into the air, prepared to attack whoever or whatever it was that was hiding behind the tree.

"We've got the means of making you come out, little boy!" the second grunt called and threw his Poké Ball into the air, a Houndour appearing in the tall grass, singing the tips of the grass that touched its bare fur. "Houndour! Use Ember!" The Houndour spat flames onto the tree, lighting the bottom branches on fire first, and then scorched up the tree, making Rylan jump out.[/color]

Lyle was about to answer when he heard the name Lance come up behind them. "You're Lance's cousin? Well, we seem to have a lot in common then. I also have a Kibago." As he said this, Kibago popped it's head out from behind Lyle's leg, after hiding behind it. "He isn't that strong either. And we both have a famous relative. My sister is Karen, one of Johto's elite four, so I know that you probably feel like me, over shadowed, easily dismissed and ignored. I'm also guessing your here for the same reason as me, so that you can do something they haven't done." Lyle said, turning back to face Daniel. "Sorry, I dont have any weak bug pokémon. My weakest is a Pinsir."

Daniel shrugged. [color=#0000CD]"Alright, that will work."[/color] He then went about the complex set of trades, even trading back the Pinsir to Lyle for the Shubarugo simply known as "Spare". [color=#0000CD]"Here you go, man! Have fun with Speedette! And thank you so much for Flitter!"[/color] He then went off to go train his Pokemon.

As Rylan was kicking Plasma rear end, a young woman was watching the action unfold from nearby. She looked like a clown, but she also had a Gothic feel to her. [color=#800080]"Ooh la la..."[/color] She purred in a cute French accent to her Pokemon. [color=#800080]"Theese...Rye-lahn...'e ees [i]magnifique[/i]! 'E vill be a velly good paltnell, don't you theenk, [i]ma petites compagnes[/i]?"[/color]

[color=#FF0000]Rylan threw his own Poké Ball in the air, Gible coming out, but quickly burrowing into the ground as if it knew the command Rylan was going to give it before he even had his chance to give it. While Rylan's Gible was underground, the first grunt threw a Poké Ball into the air, starting a double battle with his Chikorita.

"Oh come on out, Hitomoshi!" Rylan said, Hitomoshi appearing in the burning clearing. As the fires burned around the three, Rylan was waiting for Gible's attack and made Hitomoshi become invisible momentarily to confuse the Chikorita before attacking it with Fire Spin, knocking it out instantly.[/color]

[color=#AB0000]"Man this guy is good, Jervais!" the second Grunt called as the Gible exploded out of the ground, knocking out the Houndour. "Let's scat before he gets the cops on us!"

The two ran off toward Russet City before Gible started dowsing the fire with Sand Attack.[/color]

"Oh, okay, I guess," Torin said disappointedly as he turned. A Blissey walked over with a cart, the Kibago sitting happily and healthily on top as it jumped at Torin. "Hey little guy! We're going to get Dratini then I guess we're going into the Red Forest. Well, goodbye then." Once the PC was clear, Torin walked over and withdrew his Dratini, bred specially by Lance for Torin. Torin walked out of the Pokémon Center and smelled the fresh autumn air, catching a whiff of some Sweet Honey being sold nearby and noticed the bug Pokémon on the edge of the Forest. He walked over to the bugs and held out a small jar of honey, and a Heracross came over cautiously picking up the container and walked back into the forest.

"Well, I guess it's time to go then, isn't it?" Torin said, as he saw two confused and disgruntled people dressed in stranger uniforms run out of the woods.

"Wait a minute! This is Russet City!" one of them said. "You led us back to UMBRA Town you idiot! Kade will be so angry with the both of us for this!"

"Well, okay?" Lyle said, Speedette and his pinsir infront of him. "Well, you can go back to Elm then, unless you want to stay?" Lyle said to his pinsir. The pinsir looked up it's options - stay with a grumpy old guy and have to share food with about 80 other pokémon, or stay with his trainer and share it with only three others. He nipped Lyle's leg, causing Lyle to jump, and jumped into the pokéball. "Okay, I guess he's staying. You coming along too?" He asked Agirudaa. Agirudaa sighed and stepped into another pokéball. Lyle attached both pokéballs to his belt and set off, looking for Daniel, who'd run off. "I wonder where he went?" He asked Kibago, who was walking at his side. Kibago jumped out infront of him and began sniffing at the ground. It started to wander off in a random direction, and Lyle was going to follow, when Kibago crashed into a tree. "Why dont we go the [i]other[/i] way?" And Lyle set off, with Kibago walking dizzily behind him.

[color=#0000FF]Abel got up and decided it was about time to pack up from the Pokémon Center, so he packed his bag, petted Eevee on the head and grabbed his two travelling companions and headed out to the forest, where there would be a plethora of activity when they would discover the burnt clearing where a crime had occurred.

"What in hell is all this?" Abel said, as Eevee poked around in the ashes. There was no sign of evidence besides a set of bootprints going off in stride towards Umbra Town and a set of short-paced shoe prints heading on the path towards Russet City. "Looks like someone had a pretty rough Pokémon battle here, don't you think, Eevee?"

Eevee barked into the woods and sniffed out the heavy sent of perfume where Reine D'Arlequin had been hiding while watching Rylan, and her shoe prints led off toward Russet City, or it seemed like. The footprints neither had a specific toe or heel.[/color]

[color=#FF0000]Rylan emerged from the Red Forest with a set of new Grass-type Pokémon that would be essential in defeating the Russet City Gym Leader, Fernando. However, when Rylan went to observe the gym battles that day, Fernando seemed to be missing and his staff was freaking out.

"Our Gym Leader is missing!" a man in a blue work suit yelled from the platform from which Fernando would watch the Pokémon battles before choosing a Trainer to battle him. "All Gym matches have been suspended until the location of our Gym Leader can be locked down and he is brought back here before anything threatening might happen.[/color]
