Ceaseless Clash of Hadora [Started/Accepting in OOC/PG-13]

Fusion X. Denver

Recommended Posts

Cortez landed on the ground just a bit from Fusion. His eyes and voice turned solemn. "Well, first of all, moron, I was first a human. You could probably put 1 and 1 together to figure that out.. Second of all, my hands. They were weakened in the process to the extent that they can't touch air. That's why I wear these gloves." I wonder if he'll take the bluff. "The final reason: well, I can absorb all energy except for natural energy. Kinda sucks, though. I can separate it, but I can't manipulate it like everything else." He slowly began planting the Bioarmor within the ground below him, pointing them upward so that they could emerge if Fusion passed over them. "You know what, screw it. Nothing's happening. Just do something already."

"I see...and fine, I'll attack then." Chris jumped up high into the air until he was at an angle approximately 45 degrees to Cortez. The moment he became still in the air, he fired energy from his feet to propel himself like a rocket at Cortez, making sure he avoided any attack that could have ambushed him at that point. He also spun himself while flying for greater speed and power, all the while charging an energy wave in his hands. When he felt he was close enough he fired the energy wave towards Cortez; hopefully the spinning rocket move he pulled would either cause a collision or would have gotten him there quick enough to deal damage.

Far off, Kyte slowly sat himself up and looked around to find himself in a dark room. "Where am I?"

Black sat, staring out the window. While he had been upset about his pocket being lighter, due to the hotel he currently sat in, his mind was on other things. "Bah! I came here on diplomatic duties, from our land, and there is nothing here to do! I had to leave my troupe for this!" He looked out into Valor City, amazed by it. The skyscrapers were something he had not seen outside of the capital of his own country. Even then, this city dwarfed the capital. "If one were to ask me, I'd say it was a bit excessive. Hmm... I wonder how Proto and Andx are doing..., he mused as his thoughts drifted. Memories of times past washed over him, causing him to remember why he was in this place. "Alright." He though aloud, "Time to get a move on!". Without wasting any time, he had his coat and hat on, and he was headed out the door, and then the hotel's front door.

Cortez thought to himself, You know, I know speed like that. You can't just stop and continue moving. Cortez drew back some of the the Bioarmor in the ground to make it a giant claymore. He swung it into the air above the rocketing Fusion, so he could whack him into the ground. To add to it, he was channeling the fire in the ground to his claymore, making the hit have stronger force,, even though it did not add to his strength. As he swung it, he began drawing up a flattened spike in the ground to smash it against Fusion to make him fly farther. Hopefully, he doesn't have other surprises. I can barely take any hits with the Bioarmor. I don't think two battles in a row was a good idea...

Fusion realized that Cortez had planned for his attack and changed his position in midair so he was upside down. Now his feet were facing the giant claymore, successfully destroying or at least stopping it in the process with the energy he was shooting out. Then he released his charging energy wave at the flattened spike to destroy it as well. After his attacks ceased, he landed on his hands and vaulted himself at Cortez, who was about a foot or so away at this point. He also gathered energy in his legs to increase the power behind them.

Kyte slowly stood up, clutching his bandaged wounds. "If I leave this room, maybe I'll figure things out..."

Cortez smiled at Fusion's attack. At least he's making me try more than monkey-face. Cortez lifted his legs for a second and kicked the ground, lining himself up with the ground as much as possible. He slid underneath Fusion's vault while breaking down his Claymore. He began rotating in mid-slide so that his face was almost facing the ground. He used his legs to propel him forward, back onto his feet. In mid flip, he crossed his arms and formed two swords with his Bioarmor. He landed on the ground about two feet from Fusion, and began absorbing more fire from the ground. He focused it on the tips of his blades, and swung them both outwards. A ring of fire began expanding from Cortez, and he began using his swords to slash barrages of fire into the air away from the ring. "Life has a tendency to burn in flame, right? With their Natural Energy, I assume. So I guess Natural Energy burns with fire."

"I don't get what you mean," Fusion commented as he landed on his feet. He turned and dodged most of the fire waves but still got hit by some. However, this didn't deter him from gathering energy in his legs to increase his stride nor gathering energy in his hands. He jumped up and instead of aiming the energy wave at Cortez, he turned in midair and aimed it the other way, propelling him towards Cortez at blinding speed. "I don't even understand how it's possible to set energy on fire. Seems impossible to me." As he neared Cortez, Fusion stuck out his left leg into a kick, but also prepared a small energy bullet gathered at two of his finger tips, which would fire at Cortez if he avoided the kick.

Cortez saw Fusion's attack, and rolled his eyes. "Dude, have you ever heard of a pun? Nature is trees, trees bur-" He felt the kick against his face and flew back about 30 feet. He used his Bioarmor to slightly cushion each bounce on the ground during his flight, but absorbed energy from the fire the whole way. As he recognized his final bounce, he launched a tentacle of his Bioarmor towards the ground, piercing it. Still absorbing energy, he let the Bioarmor carry him into the air and onto the ground. As he touched the ground, he did not only absorb the fire itself, but some light produced by the fire. He absorbed the tentacle again, and with both swords in hand, dashed at Fusion again. "Smile!" He released his light energy, making his body produce blinding light that was invisible to him. However, Fusion would have been blinded by the light that was produced. He continued slashing at Fusion and swung both of his swords, hoping to cut Fusion in his intersecting slash just before the light died. He absorbed flame throughout his whole attack, hoping to get enough for a certain attack.

Shsen just arrived to see the rest of the fight ensue. Interfering would be pointless. They both have allies and to have both team up on a more powerful foe isn't the smartest of ideas. Shusen contempleted. Though I can learn their tatics by watching their moves and weakness. He concluded as he apted not enter the almost-finished murder Shusen had the audacity to call a fight. That blue hedgehog doesn't stand a chance. How mananged to take Tetsuya on in a real fight and wound him is beyond me.

Donovyn wandered around Sky Port, leaving the two fighters to their own devices. He didn't really see much to do around the place, aside from showboating a bit to make random kids happy. After he got bored with lifting cars with people inside of them, he decided to rest a bit. He found a nice building casting shade, and sat down, leaning his back against the wall. He slid down the wall, getting scratches along his back. The pain seared through his body, making him grunt. The scratches healed quickly, and he took a few deep breaths. "Man, I picked the wrong day to go without a shirt," he said, practically cursing himself. Once he got settled in, he closed his eyes, feeling the heat from the side walk. "Though, this feels nice. Kind of like soaking in a Hot Spring. Except you don't need a towel after."

Kyte walked out of the room to find himself in what looked like to be a hastily constructed room jammed with white labcoats running around, computers, and papers flying around. "Oh good, you're awake Kyte." He turned to the voice and saw a man walking towards him. "You may not know who I am, but I'm a Gravix Raider as well. Name's Rory." He offered a hand which Kyte shook.

"Where am I? What happened?"

Rory placed a hand on Kyte's shoulder and walked him through the room, "This is a temporary headquarters that we managed to abscond to after that chaotic battle you were in. Though thanks to you, we know who the Spider-Man is and that he's a mutant."

"Always happy to help sir...so these are all scientists?"

"And doctors too, that's how you're not bleeding to death right now. But go back in and get some rest, our technology should get you back to normal in a day or two."

Fusion covered his eyes from the blinding light. I'm blind! With this, I'll be wide open! The only countermeasure I can pull is a gamble... With his eyes still shut, Fusion activated Shokyoku Mode and erected the Negative Zone around himself once more. I need to defeat this guy and get back to Kyte on Sky Port...if I can just knock this guy out, I'll send up a flare signal for Gravix Raiders to come here and they'll detain him. Fusion felt a sword slice through his chest, though no blood spurted out because it was a flame attack. Instead, his flesh burned where he was hit, causing him to yell in pain. But then he was finally able to heighten his senses and to "detect" where Cortez was. If he's in the Negative Zone, he's got to be as vulnerable as I am. The Negative Zone shrunk as Fusion gathered some negative energy and condensed it into a sphere. This should explode on contact...nowhere near the level of Kyte's Shinseiken, but it'll also paralyze the senses of the target should it hit..even if he somehow escapes Negative Zone, I'll have him! He found where Cortez was, who was quite close to him. "Take this!"

Cortez's eyes widened as the Negative Zone expanded. However, he was able to detect the Negative Energy after being affected by it. He noticed a large concentration of it was heading towards Fusion's palm. The energy on its own diverts my senses. If it's concentrated, then I'm basically screwed if that thing hits me or discharges towards me. Guess I won't be using it, then. I might not win, either, but this is all I can do for now! Cortez never stopped absorbing energy. He released the remaining energy he had within him, creating a temporary ball of fire surrounding him. He began using his Bioarmor to guide his fist to the incoming source of energy to intersect the attack, and quickly concentrated his surrounding fire to his fist. The first became blazing white with pure fire, but did not deflect Fusion's attack. Instead, his attack hit him, completely shutting down his body for a few seconds. This discharged the concentrated fire on contact, creating a small explosion with the force of a nova. Cortez flew back many yards and almost intersected the flame. When he flew out of the Negative Zone, he did not have complete control over his body again, but he managed to regain control of the Bioarmor. He covered himself with small spikes to cushion him from landing, but he felt like he would vomit or faint any second.

Fusion was sent flying out of the Negative Zone from the small explosion. His Shokyoku Mode deactivated as he broke through a tree and onto the ground. He lay there on the ground for a second, trying to gain his bearings. Finally, he used his left hand to push himself off the ground and to steady himself. That shook me a little, but I think I'm okay... Then he noticed Cortez lying down a few feet away. I sense some of the negative energy is still messing around with his senses, though his Bioarmor is still functioning. I must end this now! Fusion jumped and turned into Neo Fusion, quickly flying to where Cortez lay on the ground. If I gather all the energy I can muster from Neo Fusion's aura and the environment, this fist will be enough to pierce the heavens! Fusion halted right above Cortez as he turned to normal, all of the energy from his aura as Neo Fusion as well as natural energy was gathered in his right fist. "Neo Impact!" he yelled as he fell downward to punch at Cortez's chest.

Cortez used one final act to use the Bioarmor to launch him out of the way. He barely missed the attack, but the force of it sent him stumbling away. The Bioarmor began to malfunction, and the pieces that stuck out of Cortez's body began to detach. Crud, too tired, I can't use a weapon now... Cortez managed to stumble to his feet, and then he realized something. I can still absorb energy! Cortez's body was limp and relaxed, which allowed him to absorb more energy faster. He continuously absorbed fire for about 3 seconds straight, and released it. He was slowly surrounded by fire, but it expanded through the whole park as one layer. He leaned back and fell against the ground, barely able to keep conscious: the only thing supporting him was his willpower and the fire tingling at his body. He began absorbing more energy, as a last ditch effort against Fusion. If Fusion did not counterattack, the fire field would fade, and he would fall unconscious.

Fusion grunted at missing his target, but it proved to be somewhat effective anyway. The remaining problem was the wave of fire that was now coming after him. Acting quickly, he ran forward and loosely gathered energy and released it at the same time in the form of a long wave. This would enable him to quickly counter the fire, but its strength was sub-par. Fusion was partially burned across his body by stray bursts of fire, but he managed to run on through at Cortez. While running, he saw a tree with a particularly big branch sticking out, which he hastened to jump up to it and break it off. He landed on the ground and vaulted it at Cortez. He began running and gathering energy into his fist. His counter attack should be used on the tree branch and the opening will allow me to punch through his weakened defenses. Hope this works, I'm getting tired...

Part of the wave Fusion created launched Cortez into the air, and Cortez barely managed to guide himself to land on his feet. Still limp, but able to use energy, he used the little Fire Energy he absorbed as he watched Fusion vault at him. This is it! Cortez used his Fire, and the ground's flame began quickly drawing towards him in large amounts by the millisecond. Element Absorb. If I use a certain amount of energy, it absorbs all energy types of the same form, but I have to release it immediately, yet I just can't... Cortez did not feel any form of energy supporting him enough for another counterattack. His eyes began to shut and he began to stumble, but he heard one phrase ring through his head. Mutant filth!

Cortez felt sudden rage, and with that rage came enough motivation to sturdy himself. Cortez sturdied his ground and pointed his palm towards the invading Fusion. He did not only absorb the fire on the ground of the park, but a lot of the surrounding it as well. He made his body a current, absorbing flame and releasing it in a small concentrated point on his palm. The fire escaped it as a giant blast, that would burn anything in its way. However, the most it could do was burn and knock out. This fire was not capable of killing anybody, and could not stay in its form if it moved outside of the park. Cortez's energy died away, and he fell to the floor again.

Fusion's eyes widened as Cortez unleashed the fire wave. The tree branch he threw at Cortez was instantly incinerated, which prompted him to turn into Neo Fusion. Quickly pumping energy through his legs, he jumped up and flew high above the fire wave as it shot out and suddenly faded at the park's perimeter. "Glad that tree branch was there...I could have lost the fight if I got hit." Suddenly Fusion gasped and he turned to normal. "Guess I ran lower on energy than I thought. Shoot." As he fell, he saw Cortez lying right below him. If I attack him from this height, I could kill him. I'll just- He landed onto the ground, stumbling slightly, and looked at Cortez. -see if he's conscious. If he is, I'll let the others deal with him.

Tch. He's still walking. Goddammit. I guess I should just give up... hopefully it works this time. Cortez began falling unconscious as he heard Fusion walk over to him. I can't win, anyway. I'm done for... Cortez's eyes shut, and he felt himself fading. However, just before unconsciousness, the thing that always haunted him took over. Within a second, the feelings and emotions during his tests, seeing his parent's corpses as he was dragged away, and being left behind afterwards came to him. His animal side began taking over, and a second source of energy began charging him: desperation.

Cortez used his arms to push himself into the air. He began flipping in the air towards Fusion, spinning and moving at high speed. With all of the energy gained from desperation, he aimed a kick at the end of his at Fusion's head, which would have been able to break through most defenses due to the momentum adding strength to it.

That's what I get, showing mercy to the enemy! Fusion practically had no time to react and was knocked in the head with full force. He slammed into the ground, his vision instantly fading into black as he rested in the earth. Did I...lose? No, I...can't lose. Even if I don't get a cold vibe from this guy, he could kill me if I lose consciousness. I...need to get out of this. Wait...he's practically near me. If I can't force myself to hit him myself, I'll gather energy from Cortez and cause him to lose consciousness. I doubt there's much left to absorb...but maybe there will be enough for me to sustain myself. Come on, work! Fusion forced his eyes open and concentrated completely on gathering energy from organisms around him, including Cortez.

Cortez, still in desperation, came to his senses as he felt his energy drained by Fusion. Ugh, cheap shot! Cortez fell back onto the ground and rested there. Nothing I could do in this situation... he could kill me, but that doesn't matter to me that much. "Hey... it's actually kind of a nice day... wish I had more times like this... so I could actually enjoy it with people." He began daydreaming, thinking of Ratchet, Kwaku, and Infinity, imagining what kind of life they could have had without Gravix, or even the Genetic Wars, which made them rogues. He laid there, imagining about his lost life, and fell unconscious. He heard Ratchet's words, "It won't happen," ring in his head, and immediately came back to his senses. He saw Fusion pointing his hand, turned his head and asked, "So, why did you become a Gravix Raider? Did you want to get rid of us, or is it something else? Money? Fame? So you could protect people that were like me?"

Fusion felt revitalized, though not strong enough to move just yet. "If there's one quality I possess, it's loyalty. The Gravix Raiders saved me from myself as well as lots of other people. I could very well have been branded a failed experiment had it not been for me having control most of the time. Perhaps the particular Gravix Raiders that found me saw that I had potential and took me in. I know you hate them, but they saved me from hell." As he spoke that last word, he struggled to sit himself up. "I can understand your hatred, there's lots of it going around in the world. Maybe someday, mankind will learn to set aside their differences and overcome their hatred." At that point, he stood up and began walking off. "Until then, I'll fight for the ones who have shown me the first steps in achieving this goal." He made one last look at Cortez, "You don't act like other failures I've seen. I'm not bringing you in, but I won't stop the reinforcements that'll be here in two minutes either. I need to go somewhere."

Cortez rolled on his back and jumped onto. Rescued from hell? Heh... I can relate to him, actually. He called, "Loyalty, huh? You're not like the other Gravix Raiders... that's a compliment, by the way. Most of them have something in it for themselves. You, however..." Cortez turned around but faced his head, "... don't. Also, don't think you're the only person who's been grabbed out of hell. If the despair of that thought comes to you, think of me sometime." Cortez put some weight onto his feet, and began running. He grabbed onto the Bioarmor on the ground, and it immediately reconnected to his body. I'm not going to get into another fight after this unless it's in about 20 minutes... but seriously, this is too much for one day.

Fusion said nothing and tapped a button on his watch. "Just letting you know, the hedgehog left." He winced at the garbled yelling coming out of the device, dripping with frustration. Fusion pressed another button to hang up and slowly gathered energy from the park. I'm running kinda low...so I should gather some more just in case I don't run out while flying to Sky Port. When he felt as if he had enough energy, Fusion flew up into the sky as Neo Fusion, making a beeline for Sky Port. While flying, he activated his cell watch again. "Kyte, I'm sending you this voicemail to let you know I'll be at Sky Port soon. Oh and do me a favor...get me an aspirin. A big one."

The Gravix rider won. Not only that but they exchanged some last words too. Shusen thought, deep in contemplation. He is very much in his weakest state and I could easily finish him off. Not only that but the Gravix rider never noticed my energy. Either that or he can't manipulate all energy; my forte. I need more information. The hedgehog is too weak and gravix rider is undoubtedly getting medical attention with the other rider Tetsuya mentioned. With more investigating I really could find out what happened.

Kuru looked at the person who talked to him, taking a step back.
Gravix, eh? Damn, people look like they can cause some real damage. Better make sure to stay clear of those guys until I've worked on my Sharingan some more. Now this guy... not everyday you get a free offer for a ticket... Blinking once, Kuru's eyes turned red, forming the first stage of the Sharingan with one tomoe. Cautiously he put his hand out for the ticket.

"Hmph, not everyday I get a free ticket. I'll take it, but I'm a little curious as to why you would just randomly give it away... Just want to make sure I'm not going to get bashed in the head from behind,"
