Ceaseless Clash of Hadora [Started/Accepting in OOC/PG-13]

Fusion X. Denver

Can't manipulate it? Must be pure natural energy... nothing I can do from this! Ah well, thanks for the opportunity! Cortez heard Tetsuya behind him and said, "Dude, come back to me when you're ready to fight." Cortez leapt in the air and started doing a flip. He used his Bioarmor to direct the Energy Ball. The ball was sent up the skyscraper and reflected off of the fragments of the glass. It eventually was sent up in the air towards Tetsuya. "In the meantime, I'll have to get onto this new challenger over here who's actually my age. Besides, he wants me to stop what I'm doing, and that's fighting you." Cortez landed on a flying car and leapt back into the air and transformed his Biosuit into a Gear to increase his speed. It went towards Tetsuya at Mach-1, creating a sonic boom for a split second that would at least stun his adversary for a second. He transformed the Biosuit into a sword as he started getting closer to Tetsuya, "Next time, pick on someone your own size." Cortez swung the sword at the back of Tetsuya's neck, directly at his spinal chord. It would be able to kill a normal person, and would either temporarily paralyze or knock out anybody stronger.

That guy...my energy ball was manipulated past him with that weird suit and it reflected off all those shards of glass. Guess that's what happens when I don't condense it properly. But now I have to get rid of this shower of glass before the crowd's hurt. People panicked about being impaled by thousands of glass shards, but Fusion gathered some energy in the ensuing chaos and released it upward in the form of a wave. The wave expanded and disintegrated all the glass before it could hurt anyone. "Is everyone alright?" Fusion turned to the crowd to make sure no one was injured. He noticed a few people were unconscious and people were tending to them, until they suddenly awoke, feeling drowsy. That was my fault...I need to train myself more so I don't extract more energy from people that I need. He turned his attention back to the air and saw the two going at it again. I don't sense malice, but they're very careless. I guess I'll monitor the fight and make protecting the people and environment my main priority.

Cortez laughed to himself, "Silly monkey, making the same mistake twice." He finished his swing and turned around completely. He just stopped above me, and I'm moving past Mach-1 towards him. Physically impossible to move again fast enough to completely dodge this, but it'll be enough. Cortez actually winced for a second as he thought about his spikes impaling Tetsuya's face. You know what, screw it. I won't accidentally kill this guy. Cortez kicked downwards. He was surrounded by a blue aura, and his rising broke. He smiled, "You won't have to. Something else is coming already. Anyway, I have a date to catch." Cortez kicked downward again, and this time he darted to the ground. He stomped right at the end of the skyscraper, and heard the screams of many people, "Mutant filth!" "Go burn somewhere, mutant!" Cortez paused for a moment and looked down, a bit of sadness crossing his mind. Ah, I enjoy this. People prosecuting me everywhere but Infinity Wing, and Gravix hunting me down. How nice. Cortez shook himself back to normal and looked at the teenager directly. "So, I stopped. What now?"

Fusion saw that the battle had come to a pause, and he instinctively tensed up as the hedgehog landed in front of him to talk. "You almost hurt all of these people. If I weren't around, a lot of people could have been hurt. That building will be suffering expenses on repairing the property damage and a lot of little kids will be scared to go outside after today. Plus, considering your fight just sort of ended without any climax or a finishing blow, I assume it was just a random altercation rather than a fight between enemies. I'm bringing you in for what you've done here." People were calling him a mutant...I have been out of the loop for a while, is this guy infamous or something?

Cortez smiled, You're the 126th person that told me that. They all failed. Cortez transformed his Bioarmor into a sword again. "I wouldn't say it's been damage, the glass is just in smaller pieces and off the windows. Probably wouldn't have happened if the other guy wasn't chasing me. Also, it would have if been less anticlimactic he couldn't travel at the speed of light and if I wasn't unwilling to kill people. Does everybody these days want things to be extremely exciting and overpowered like people teleporting, having a clash of two powerful attacks that involve a rotating ball and a lightning attack that sounds like birds? ... don't answer." Cortez swung his sword, "Also, you give innocent people less credit than they need. Why would you think that I would hurt a small group of people for physical damage..." Cortez dashed until he was right in front of Fusion, "... when almost every single person I see prosecutes and rejects me every day?"

I have no idea what this guy is saying, guess his mouth matches his speed. Suddenly, he noticed the hedgehog was right in front of him and jumped back with his guard up. He listened to the hedgehog's words and had no answer. Fusion furrowed his brow, "Regardless, I need to bring you in for almost hurting these people. But not here." Fusion had been gathering energy in his palm while talking and then released it at the hedgehog. If the hedgehog began to dodge or move far from the wave, the wave would be controlled by Fusion to follow him. The wave won't do much damage if it hits since I'm focusing purely on control, but I'll use this to lure him out of the city away from everyone.

Cortez looked at the wave and leapt to the side. As he leapt, he saw the wave come after him. He leapt again. Still followed him. Yeesh, and people called me weird. This guy makes waves of stalkers. Cortez asked, "Are you folding? Get it? You're trying to hand me in, and you're failing at it... ah, screw it." He dashed back again, and waited. The wave continued to follow him, and he immediately dashed at Fusion. He leapt over him and started running off a short building. "Is this your idea? Handing me in while I'm farther away? Heh, nice try." He cut off a shard of the building with his Biosuit and placed it in his hand. "But you know, there are some things you can only do from a distance." He threw the rock at Fusion before the wave of energy could hit him. Just Natural Energy? He's just like the piece I'm missing.

Kuru raised an eyebrow as he saw the crowd inside the airport's waiting area. People were either staring out the windows trying to get a view of "something" or sittingt down with nervous glances. When he exited the building, the first thing he noticed was the sense of something being off, like a dark feeling in the air. As Kuru walked towards the center, it became more apparent that it was no ordinary day when the people around were few and far between. At last he came to a stop, in front of him the landscape was laid to waste, and a large building was coated in webs.

"And to think I came here to get over my fear of heights..." Kuru sighed, "But from this, all I can say is I made a bad first stop. Just hope one of the guys who mauled this place doesn't end up fighting me... that would just suck..." Kuru stared at the destruction for a few more seconds before turning around and walking away.

Shusen offered Tetsuya a hand but he rejected it anyways. " I'm not a cripple and I can walk on my own." was all he could manage to say. Once they found a safe alleyway, Shusen began to question him. "So you're saying that all you got was a glimse of was a Gravix rider, and two mutants?" he finalized. "Yes, the spider-mutant and gravix were haveing an interesting battle. Sadly, I never saw the end because that creature you saw interrupted." He concluded. Shusen looked up at Sky Port and looked back at Tetsuya to address him. " I have a small base in Kasuka Town near here. I just want to check out the aftermath in Sky Port."
"Shusen, don't think that I'm always going to obey your orders. the only reason I'm going there is to heal-up. Then I'm gone." Tetsuya finished as he got up and started flying towards Kasuka very slowly. Shusen on the other hand, felt very lively and flew toward Sky Port at full speed. Finally, someone who can match my power!.

Ratchet began walking towards the airport. He took off NEBULA and kept it in Infinity Wing so that he wouldn't be as easily detected. He wore a white suit and covered most of his face with a white hat. He carried Kwaku in a large, white duffle bag so he could go to Coral Cove. He also carried a bag that looked like one of Sky Port's engineering bags, although it Gravix would have sent one or two people there, but it's still the best place to go. Besides, NEBULA As he was walking, he passed Kuru, he temporarily glanced to the side to observe him. Doesn't look like somebody from around here. First guess is Kaze Canopy. Either that or he's foreign. Anyway, he's too young to know where to go next. I did print two tickets just in case Kwaku woke up, but it was faster to get here than expected. He'll wake up a minute after we arrive. This'll be fine, I can call in NEBULA if the worst case happens. Ratchet turned to the side and approached Kuru. He said to him, "Tourist, are ya? Not many come by here. This crazy thing just happened. Spider-Man came by and left just as fast fighting this Gravix Raider. Either way, the closest place is Coral Cove. I have a spare ticket. My wife's got work and can't leave the place. Want it?"

Fusion didn't fall for Cortez's trick and simply guided the wave above his own head rather than hitting him. When he saw a rock speed by the wave and at Fusion he quickly gathered energy in his left hand and caught the shard without taking any damage. Heightened defenses has its advantages... He continued to manipulate the wave at Cortez, running towards him in the process near one of the highways. There's a bridge for pedestrians to cross the waters by the highway that leads to the city park. It should be deserted right now since a serial killer was residing there until yesterday, so it should open tomorrow. But now's the perfect time to fight him there, since no one will be around.

Cortez jumped back again so he could look where the wave was pointing. That park? What happened at that place? If he wants to go fight somewhere else, why- oh, right. Nature Energy. Well, I'll just beat him at his own game. "You know, you could have just asked nicely, 'Can you fight me in the park?', but nooooooooo, you had to threaten me into moving in that direction. What do you do in your free time? Write fanfiction about people on a website?" Cortez leapt off the skyscrapers and across the highway and into the park. In the meantime, he used his Biosuit to create a claymore instead of a sword. If he doesn't use energy I can harness, I might as well use a bigger weapon. This won't hurt, actually. Cortez used some more of his Biosuit to create a chakram over the back of his hand, like a shield, with his other arm. "This fits perfectly. Let me just wait for him.

Donovyn had been walking to Grimstone Hallow to use the mysticism for transport to Sky Port. It wasn't that difficult to get to Grimstone Hallow, as he'd been there many times before. Though, he'd never used that kind of transportation to get somewhere. He'd also never visited Sky Port before, but that's why he wanted to go there. If he'd known what to expect upon arrival, he'd have bothered to make preparations. "Well, here we are, Grimstone Hallow. Now, how do I use this teleportation thing I heard rumors about," he said out loud. After spending several minutes wandering around the place, he finally figured out what he had to do, completely by accident, and ended up in Sky Port, just barely managing to avoid being hit in the head by a rock.

"I didn't think you would comply, I was thinking you'd run away rather than fighting. Seems I've misjudged you." Fusion had finally caught up with the hedgehog, unable to keep up with his speed. When he landed in front of the hedgehog, he began analyzing his opponent. Seems he has some form of armor that responds to mental commands. It can form different structures like that chakram and weird-looking sword, it must be a Biosuit. Which means he can still feel pain, though the armor should enhance his normal strengths. Though the worst part of it is its versatility, I got to keep on my toes. As he was thinking, Fusion gathered energy from the surrounding environment, comprised of lush, green scenery. It barely took time before he was charging a decently sized energy wave in his palms. I'll test out how the Biosuit can handle an attack of this caliber. Just like the Kamehameha it was based on, this too, shall inflict similar damage. He thrust his palms and the energy wave forward, "Try beating this!"

Woah! Cortez quickly jumped to the ground and rolled in the same direction. To do this, he quickly opened his Claymore and folded it around his arm, allowing him to roll more smoothly along the ground. Of course. A park. Nature everywhere. He'll have a lot of Nature Energy to drain. In that case, I'll have to close him off from it. This is gonna hurt. Cortez commanded his chakram to spin on his covered arm. He felt pain surge through his nerves, and created sparks. He drained the sparks to increase his powers. For the next 10 seconds, he was covered with an aura of flame. "How well do you fight broken from nature?" Cortez began running a circle around his opponent. Behind his circle, a special kind of fire began rising. This fire was an artificial fire: it would not spread anywhere except for where he moved, and any life form would burn like normal. Also, nature energy cannot pass through the flame, so the only access Fusion had to the energy was on the ground below. Cortez came to a full circle and turned his Chakram and covered arm into two swords. He held them in a stance of battle and said, "Now then, how do you fight with combat in an enclosed space?"

"Just fine, thanks," Fusion replied. "It's a shame you just screwed yourself over though." As he said that, the area inside the fire suddenly turned green. The colors of the Biosuit and Fusion became inverted as he explained, "This is a special ability called Negative Zone. Right now, your senses should be altered to the extent where you can't move or perceive my actions well." I'll knock him outside the fire and then escape back into the park. Fusion sped forward to the Biosuit, bracing for any sort of a possible counter attack, though the possibility behind one should have been low, and crouched down right in front of him and aimed a strong uppercut right under his jaw.

"Who needs senses when I can do this?" Cortez's body suddenly became covered by his Biosuit, from head to toe, except for his eyes. He grabbed his adversary's attacking fist with both hands. "It doesn't matter how you alter my body. This suit isn't like most Biosuits. Although it's connected to my Nervous System, it doesn't function like the rest of my body. As in, even if my senses are altered, even if I can't see you, I-" He suddenly felt the punch connect to his face. He tried making spikes connect to his feet, but they came out of his ankles instead. I feel numb it's like... "Oh, that's what you meant." Cortez flew out of the flames, but the Biosuit protected him from any possible burning. He saw colors begin returning to normal, and his senses returned to normal. He put his arm on the ground and pushed off of it, flipping back onto his feet. I made that fire. That means... Cortez absorbed the entire flaming circle, allowing Fusion to absorb Nature Energy, but it was a small price to pay. "Hey, dude, are you feeling a little heated from our battle?" Cortez released his energy on the ground below him, setting the boarders of the park ablaze. The ground below him was also crusted with a layer of fire, although it didn't block off or kill any energy. The trees were still intact, and the park kept the rest of its features. He created his swords again with his Biosuit. "Let's see how well you do against me now? Keep on using Pure Nature Energy, I can burn it. This is fiendfire. Can't be put out, although it won't actually burn plantation or life. It'll keep people from interfering, but none of us can run away until the battle is over." Cortez absorbed more fire and said, "Now, would you like your steak rare or well done?" He swung both his swords, and a cross of fire flew towards Fusion, and into his Negative Zone.

As soon as the hedgehog had flown out of the fire, Fusion ceased the Negative Zone and formed a red aura around his body. He flew upward out of the fire and landed back on the ground, returning to normal. He glanced behind him to see a cross of fire had just hit the circle where he was previously. "That was close." He turned to his opponent and the burning land around them. "You say this fire won't harm the park, but it sure looks dangerous. And fine, we'll finish this fight here." He whipped out his hammer to match the hedgehog's swords. "Since we've finally been grounded, I suppose now's the time for introductions. My name is Fusion X. Denver, a Gravix Raider."

Great. Why didn't I just think about that. I mean, who else would fight a mutant in public? "The name's Cortez. And what does the X stand for? Xavier or something?" Cortez put his swords together. "Ah well. doesn't matter. Unless you're actually a more useful Gravix Raider, I won't have to remember you." Cortez dashed at Fusion and swung both his swords to his sides. Hammer, that implies he's more of a strength person, in which case I can't counter him or attack directly. But this'll still be fun. Cortez swung both his swords at the ground. He used this point of contact to absorb little sections of fire below his feet. "Don't think that your hammer will work well." Cortez's swords began burning, and he swung them both at Fusion. This'll make my blades cut through his hammer like a hot knife in cold butter. It's the easiest way to counter strength: makeshift cheap shots.

"Yes, it's Xavier. Not many other 'X' names out there actually..." He saw the incoming swords and swung his hammer. Time to use the trick Kyte taught me! Kyte was Fusion's partner in Gravix and taught him to infuse weapons with his own energy. Though for Fusion, it required him to gather nature energy in his arm and then flow it into the weapon. When the hammer clashed with the swords, it remained intact and sturdy thanks to its heightened effectiveness from energy. Giant sparks and flames resulted in the clash, causing Fusion to narrow his eyes almost shut. Then he swung the hammer up, hopefully causing the swords to be flung out of the way as well, and shot an energy beam with his other hand right at Cortez.

Cortez kept his arms locked, which meant that the swords were not flung. However, the overwhelming strength from Fusion caused Cortez to be hurled into the air. Crud. Just this one chance...! Cortez reached towards the ground, hoping to absorb some of the fire energy. He managed to extract some of it, but not as much as he wanted. There goes crater stomp. This isn't bad, though. Cortez changed his swords into two gatling guns. "Let's see how you deal with this." Cortez opened fire for two seconds, and then ran out of energy. However, the bullets he fired would explode on impact, and were laced with fire, making them easier to track. "Fusion Xavier Denver? That's a weird name, no offense."

"A name is something to be held sacred, something to be proud of," Fusion muttered as he faced the oncoming fire bullets. "Don't mock it!" he yelled as he shot an energy beam to the ground. This propelled him into the sky at Cortez, though fire bullets kept grazing his sides. He used nature energy to harden his defenses, but even then the bullets stung. When he reached Cortez, he had quite a few cuts and burns on his sides, but he remained steady and gathered a lot of energy in one hand while swinging his hammer with the other. Fusion threw the hammer at Cortez, anticipating he'd dodge it. If Cortez had dodged the hammer, Fusion would then fire his powerful energy ball with his other hand at him. He wasn't worried about his hammer as it had a boomerang function and would return to him momentarily.

Cortez smiled, Naive. I can't absorb all energy, but once I contact it... Cortez turned his gatling guns into tentacles and wrapped it around Fusion's hammer. "Sorry. I was never truly given a name. Still don't really know what it means. Cortez was just the name of the project." Cortez moved that hammer to his grip, and felt the nature energy residing in it. Not only that, but he could feel the specific energies being manipulated by Fusion. So... his hand? Is he gonna throw that at me? He smiled as he noticed something else. Heh. My barrier slightly adds a small dose of fire to his attacks. This hammer shows it. Cortez drained whatever fire was in the hammer and threw it into the air, creating a fireball. He hit it with Fusion's hammer, causing it to move directly towards Fusion.

Fusion acted quickly and fired the energy ball in his hand at the fireball to cancel it out. Then he turned to Neo Fusion and flew over to his hammer. "Let's take this back to the ground." He landed in the park and turned to normal. So I shouldn't let him get a hold of my hammer again. It seems his power stems from absorbing residual energy from attacks and other things. It's like the way my powers work, almost. "Hey!" he yelled up to Cortez. "Your powers are sort of like mine, aren't they? Why were you branded a failure?"
