Spider sense. Something rushing from the Earth below me and a force... closing in on me? From the front? What is this? Kwaku's eyes widened as he felt the Earth beneath him start to crumble. Oh... that's what it is. "Yikes!" Kwaku leapt into the air towards Kyte and covered the Earth below him with webbing, but the geyser still broke through. "Okay, and since he broke the webbing on his feet, that means I have to be careful about the wind coming through..." Kwaku quickly turned around and attached his webbing to points of buildings far away. The wind came in, and the only way Kwaku was able to hold onto the webbing was with his adhesion. The wind still forced him against the geyser for a second, and he yelled in agony. However, the wind also pushed the geyser away, so Kwaku was not completely burned by it. When he felt the wind die down, the web sprung him forward, sending him toward Kyte at blinding speed, claws forward. Even if it didn't connect, he would have been sprung forward onto a nearby skyscraper, allowing him to recover and contemplate his adversary's strategies. If it did connect, both of them would tumble around on the skyscraper's roof after being sent through the air.

He's coming in fast! thought Kyte as Spider-Man came swinging in. "You're not as talkative as before. Have you come to understand it's hopeless to resist?" Kyte dived down to the ground, ducking the swinging mutant as he swung to the skyscraper behind them. Kyte gathered his two swords, the one in webbing had been weakened enough from the Great Breakthrough was able to be recovered as well. He then ran up the building's side and stood on the roof facing Spider-Man who was on the building in front of him. "Give it up, Spider-Man. I will win and uphold my honor!" He clasped his hands together and manipulated the air around him. He also blended some wind chakra with it, completely concentrating on the jutsu. After a few seconds, he had activated his Wind Run. Kyte sped forward, much faster than before. He used his speed as momentum and leaped right at Spider-Man, with only a second or so before impact. As he jumped, he gathered wind chakra in his palm and began rotating it. I hate the feeling of having my palm sliced open repeatedly...though it's only bad if I have it for too long. The jutsu finished right as he approached Spider-Man. He thrust his right palm at him, "Fumatama!"

Damn, he's fast. Can't web him, though. First, Kwaku used his spider sense to temporarily slow down everything to him. He then used his own speed to try to counter Kyte's leap. You can't dodge while leaping unless you can fly, which he can't. So that means I have the perfect opportunity to... Kwaku dashed forward and flipped as soon as he ran. His speed created afterimages of himself due to the suit and a certain drug he had been taking to keep himself in check with his other souls. He shot two webs at Kyte and kicked downwards as he flew over him, which would hopefully knock him into the ground. He then began to pull on the webbing to get him off of the air and hopefully into the ground, or in the worst case scenario, to equip himself with 2 pieces of debris as weapons.

Kyte grunted as Kwaku had somehow gotten over him. His Fumatama had destroyed the wall where Kwaku had been previously and was dispelled so Kyte would avoid any more damage to his palm. At that moment, he realized the web-head had webbed him again and was coming down for a kick. Kyte let the kick hit, but when he did, he grabbed the webbing attached to him that Spider-Man was still holding and swung it down so they would switch positions in the air. Then he pulled hard on the webbing so his opponent would come reeling back, and then formed a few handsigns. "Wind Style: Vacuum Serial Waves!" Blades of wind was blown from his mouth that expanded as they flew, giving Spider-Man very few openings and no chance of shooting a web to a building since the blades would slice right through.

"Cereal? Don't put them in a vacuum, you moron! It'll ruin the tasty goodness and break the vacuum!" Kwaku sensed the exact locations of the blades due to his Spider Sense. This comes in serious handy. I can actually sense the exact shapes of the objects. Kwaku smiled, "Bad idea." While he was being reeled in, Kwaku counteracted the pull with his own tug. His enhanced strength allowed the webbing to contract and pulled Kyte in, possibly through his own blades. At the same time, he formed a sword of venom-filled webbing behind him. He spun it and thrust it forward, hoping to impale Kyte in a place that wouldn't cause him to die. His third action was he reeled his head forward and opened his mouth. His fangs broke through his mouth, and he aimed to inject them in Kyte's body. His main intention was to poison Kyte a second time.

That was smart, taking advantage over me the same way I did to him. I underestimated his strength... However, the web-spinner hadn't bothered to counter the wind jutsu for some reason and seemed to be hit by the jutsu. Kyte grinned, but saw that despite being sliced into, Spider-Man was still resisting and had thrust forward a sword of webbing. It must be laced with venom! I can't stop my momentum, but maybe I can settle this in one blow! As Kyte neared the point, he gathered almost all of his remaining chakra into his left palm until it formed into a collection of lightning chakra. Got only one shot...if this doesn't work, it's all over... Kyte winced as the sword drove through his right side, piercing through and out the back. I can't kill him since he isn't a criminal, so I'll just wound him for capture! And by letting him stab me, I've got him trapped! Kyte grabbed Spider-Man's wrist that was holding the sword with his right hand and whipped the lightning jutsu in his left hand forward aiming for Spider-Man's right side. "Thunderhand!"

At around the same time the little blue creature launched it's attack, Tetsuya began to realize the reality of things. Oh man, I'm pretty high up. Shoot! I'm starting to freeze up! I can't properly charge attacks! Perfect timing. He sarcastically remarked to himself. With his remaining energy he managed to deflect one of the enrgy balls into a building and still had to deal with it's aftershock. However he was unable to stop the second and was hit full-force. Damn that hurt! He thought as he meekly flew at his fastest speed toward the building. After that blast I can't handle much more in the air. I need to get some land under my feet. He entered through the hole the deflected energy ball made and snaked though the corriders. This'll give me the time I need. He concluded and entered an abandoned room.

Donovyn stepped out of the Kasuka mines, with a pick axe slung over his shoulder. He took a deep breath, setting the pick axe down at the entrance. He sat down, cross-legged, with his back against the wall next to the opening to the mine, looking up at the sky. "I wonder what's going on in other parts of the world..." he said dreamily. "Might shove off in a couple days. Wonder where I'll go to then. Only place I haven't been to is Sky Port. Question is: how do I get there?" "You plannin' on goin' somewhere so soon?" the same man he'd spoken to earlier asked. "It's dangerous for me to stay in one place for too long. I'm hunted down wherever I go, you know. It's best for me to just keep moving."

Jeez! He can use lightning, too? This is gonna hurt. Kwaku quickly patched up most of his right flank with webbing, which was not conductible and would protect him from most of the voltage. However, the hand still ultimately impacted him, and he felt the electricity coarse through his suit like lava seeping through his veins. He convulsed and screamed in agony, and lightning began seeping out of his suit. This was not harmful, just a sign that he was feeling pain. As Kwaku took the attack, he began falling to the ground. He hit the ground with a thud, and tumbled backward. Luckily for him, he only had a few broken ribs and was a bit tense and closer to fainting, but he was still able to get up with a jump. "You're not like the other Gravix people I fought. You're... different. Who are you?" As he uttered those words, he recollected, Fire, Wind, and Lightning. Chakra based, can run in air, seems to be capable of constantly exerting himself. Except, when he used the geyser on me... I expected more. And the wind wasn't as powerful as his first strike. Was he conserving? Maybe he's getting tired or weaker... wait a second. Kwaku caught an enormous skyscraper in the corner of his eye. The higher we go, the less air. Two of his three attacks are based on air. Wind is less reliable, but wind is also less deadly. The less air, the less oxygen, and he'll be limited to using fire. He'll also get more tired faster... Kwaku smiled. He came up with something, something that would either completely work or utterly fail.

Kwaku shot two webs towards the two buildings and pulled. Sky Port's flying east due to Wind Currents. East is exactly where I want to go. Suit, do your thing! Kwaku's suit picked up the air currents carrying Sky Port, causing him to glide toward the top of the database. He'll take this as an opportunity or a threat. The paralysis will at least get me to recover some energy. That's what I learned from him so far. Either way, what will happen next will entrap him in the Web of Anansi. Sky Port was mostly against this building, anyway. Kinda killed the atmosphere.

Kwaku created two maces of webbing and threw them at the windows of the database building. He also began spinning a web with a message to Kyte.

"This database has fallen into the Spider's Web. Care to be next, Gravix?"

§

Cortez sighed, "Is that all you've got? Nice try. No escaping me that easily." Cortez took a second to tense his legs, and released them to give him a slight speed boost. He used his Biosuit to create a blade that stabbed the ground, and allowed him to change his direction into the pathway. "So, how much do you like fighting this high in the air? Practice breathing with such little to breath on? Grounding yourself up here will barely help, you know." Cortez threw his final bomb at the roof of the abandoned room. The explosion caused the structure of that room to start collapsing. Sorry, Kwaku, but this is for your sake, not mine. Cortez started bouncing off of the debris to escape the building before it collapsed. He stood on the roof of a nearby building and created two claws with his Biosuit. Come up, monkey. Bring it on!

Kyte smirked as his attack hit home and collapsed to the ground. He gritted his teeth and pulled out the webbing lodged in his side before the venom took effect and paralyzed him. Then he noticed his adversary take off and run away. Damn it, he's escaping! I must- wait. 'This database has fallen into the Spider's Web. Care to be next, Gravix?' He's declaring war! After 15 seconds had passed, Kyte stood up, barely steady as his side pooled blood out from the stab wound. How can he still move? Was it really because of that webbing he shot on his side? It shouldn't have been that effective... He then reached for the two flaps that extended from the back of his shirt. Kyte ripped them off and wrapped his stab wound tightly enough so it'd be fine until he could retrieve medical help. He then began to jump up onto the building's side and leap from wall to wall, slowly climbing higher while he took out his phone. If I don't make it, I have to let Fusion know about what happened here... When he finished, he landed onto a building roof in front of where Spider-Man had went and held his swords in front, somewhat shakily. The worst case scenario is if he chooses to escape, I can always hunt him later with Fusion, the two of us should be able to take him down.. "Where are you Spider-Freak?! Have you lost your nerve after 1 move? Let's settle this!"

"Nerves? You're getting on mine, so I'm pretty sure I still kept them." Kwaku said. I've gotta get Nightfall to know about this. I hope he's watching Kwaku said to himself, "Pull!" Kwaku pulled with all his might. The web's purpose was not only to lure Kyte to him, but for something much greater. After pulling, anybody witnessing the battle would come to know the strength of Kwaku Anansi. Kwaku's web manage to lift almost half of the skyscraper's roof form the centerpoint. He threw it at Kyte, hoping to get him higher in the air. He shot two more webs at the remaining skyscraper to pick up two pieces of debris and threw them a bit higher than the skyscraper, at Kyte's mid-jumping point. Kwaku's remaining webbing fell almost perfectly into place as a spider web. Kwaku landed on one string with his feet, and his adhesion allowed him to balance. He said to Kyte, "How about a one-on-one in this environment? Surely you aren't scared enough to stop me in a place like this? This web is the only thing holding up the roof of the entire skyscraper: if it falls, the whole structure will come tumbling down on this and the rest of the Gravix buildings surrounding it containing data of hunted mutants. If you break it, you'll be doing us a favor. So, what will it be? Will you fight me here, or will you risk to harm your own group?" The web thing is true, although there is a chance that it could kill innocent people. How much does he care about his mission?

Kyte's eyes widened at the incoming building. That's insane! How strong is this guy?! Kyte jumped above and took out his swords for a possible surprise attack. Surely enough, two pieces of debris were flung at him by webbing which he just managed to slice through and land on the web. Tough to keep my balance here... Kyte thought as he slightly wobbled on the web, facing Spider-Man. He listened to the hero's words and dismissed him as a madman. "I'm a Gravix Raider, I will not harm any innocents. Only the guilty will feel my wrath, as you shall soon see!" I'm getting tired though and barely any chakra left. I'll have to settle this in combat, but I'll need to be wary of his super strength. Hopefully he's feeling whooped as well. Kyte pressed a red button on his cell phone, sending a signal to the nearest Gravix Raiders base. Now all the Gravix scientists inside can evacuate safely and back up the data in case anything happens. "Now...I'm going to bring you in Spider-Man! To fight against the Gravix Raiders means blasphemy!" Kyte brandished his two swords to his sides and ran forward. He decided to use the smallest amount of chakra on the soles of his feet so he wouldn't stick to the web. Kyte then positioned his left arm a level above his right and swung both arms toward the outside at Spider-Man. He wouldn't be able to duck or jump without getting sliced, and slipping in between the swords would cause the two to crash into one another.

"So, Anansi set up his web of stories, huh?"

"Yes, Dr. Blackwell. It's the only thing from keeping the building from collapsing, and it gives him a basic advantage due to the environment." Dr. Ratchet Blackwell heard the comment and looked at a different portion of the screen. Red waves emitted from the point, representing a radio signal. He began walking to the hanger and a tall, black robot armor. The other doctor asked, "Dr. Blackwell? What are you-"

"A signal activated from Gravix. I can't let him get outnumbered. I'm going in." Ratchet donned NEBULA and leapt off of Infinity Wing. Nightfall flew through Sky Port to evacuate everybody in that settlement.

§

Does this guy even know their true intentions? I've seen most Gravix Raiders kill mutants in front of me. Is he... different? Kwaku grabbed onto the web and spun underneath it, going underneath the web and away from the swords. "Fine. I'll tell you." Kwaku leapt up onto the webs again, behind Kyte. "My name is Kwaku Anansi, and I was a scientist working in the Genetic Wars. My experiment backfired and I became this, and was locked away as the failed experiment. But one thing I know for sure: Gravix was the one who threatened me into working on it, and Gravix is now hunting me down." Kwaku pointed his finger down at the people below. "These people down here: I can't kill them for my life. I can't kill... anything, really. I've seen you people: Gravix, not other Homo Superiors, kill us failed experiments in cold blood: not looking back. You might be different, but as long as you plan to hand me in to your group, I won't hesitate to stop you." Kwaku heard the people moving away from the settlement with his Spider-Sense. He heard a familiar voice say, "All clear, Anansi!"

Kwaku said, "Now then, how much mutant blood is stained on that sword?" Kwaku donned his claws and kept one close to the web underneath, so he could snip his fingers to break the webbing. Hopefully, he doesn't realize I'm only aiming at the ones that won't break the whole web. He ran up to Kyte at his fastest pace along the webbing and immediately leapt into the building below, in the darkness. However, he left afterimages due to his speed. His neon symbol darkened, but his presence created an aura of hope, yet tension. "Alright, Kyte. Who took off your tail?" He shot two webs at the ends of the chord connecting Kyte, ready to disconnect the ends.

"What a fool you are! Telling me your name was a costly mistake!" Kyte pressed a button on the scouter and transmitted data on Kwaku to the Gravix scientists. "And as if I'll believe such lies! The Gravix Raiders uphold justice, they persecute in the name of good! It's obvious you're fibbing some sob story shifting you as the light and the Gravix as the dark! WE are the light! WE will purge the world of darkness, of mutants! And we only kill mutants that commit crimes and after a just trial, the same shall be done to you!" Kyte ran down the web toward the building Kwaku escaped into. If Kwaku had cut the webbing, he would have pumped some bits of chakra in his legs to make the jump through the window. I'll use the last of my chakra in one fell swoop and defeat Kwaku from there! Reinforcements should be here momentarily if the base received an evacuation drill... He infused his right blade with the last bit of wind chakra he could muster and noted the very dim neon glow inside. "Take this, Kwaku Anansi!" After swiping the sword, a blade of wind chakra was flung toward Kwaku at high speeds. Kyte used the last of his energy to run behind the chakra and swipe at Kwaku with his left sword.

The faint neon glow from Kwaku soon vanished. "Afterimages. By moving at high velocity and by using flashing lights, previous images of myself are created." Kwaku stepped back from Kyte for one second. "My name isn't even in the databanks. You can look it up, and it'll be erased. From now, anyway. And remember, you can't beat the spider in his web." Kwaku kicked through the center of the web, breaking it completely. The skyscraper stood intact. "I'm glad you took the bluff. I just wanted to stall for time so that my friend could erase everything before yours got here.. And if I know anything..." Kwaku dashed at Kyte in a zig-zag pattern leaving afterimages to deliver a kick directly at his head to knock him back into the wall, "... there isn't just light and darkness. The motives are what drive the people of this world. No matter what, at the end of the day, the choice a hero would make would always be the right one." The database computers surrounding the main building exploded. The building started collapsing, but not in time for Kwaku's kick to miss Kyte. I can't exert myself for much longer. The thunder and roof fragment drained too much of my energy. And Rapture's dying, too... this kick MUST finish him...

Kyte's eyes widened at seeing his target was simply an afterimage. Then all went black as he received a kick to the head and was sent flying. No good...out of chakra. And... He hit the wall, slipping into unconsciousness as he heard a familiar siren. Gravix Raiders are here...good. I'll make you pay for this, Kwaku Anansi. With that, his head lobbed to the side and he was out. Outside the building, Gravix Raiders were on hover boards surrounding the area.

"Come out Kwaku Anansi! You're under arrest for brutally attacking a Raider as well as the crime of being a mutant! If you don't surrender in five seconds, we're blowing the building up! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!"

Crud. I can't let Kyte blow up in this facility. I have to get him out of here without anybody else getting interfering! He heard the numbers beginning to count down, and grabbed Kyte's body. He swung out of the building by the time the man got to "3". When he got to "2", Kwaku made a web between buildings and dropped Kyte's body there. Kwaku smiled when he reached "1". One second is good enough.

Kwaku was made of the souls of four different Spider-Men. They all had the same views, keeping them in check, but Kwaku realized his powers were too out of control for himself. He trained himself occasionally, but was constantly taking a drug called "rapture". It corrupted his body in a slight way, making him the only person using his body. Now that it wore off, he had temporary control over the combined skills of the four Spider-men before going insane. The four minds, souls, and bodies were working together before Kwaku's body could take no more.

Kwaku shot his webs. They splattered in hundreds of directions, as if he identified how many people there were surrounding the building in seconds. The webs hit almost every hoverboard, and Kwaku just had to pull to tug away hoverboards from almost every single Gravix Raider there. "Sorry, were you looking for me? You didn't ring the doorbell." Kwaku dashed around, using vicious attacks on each one. He was a temporary weapon of pure destruction for the moment. Once he took out the last one, he felt something stab him in the back. More rapture flowed through his body, and he was back to normal. He fell to the ground, unconscious.

Tetsuya emerged out of the rubbles, clearly disoriented but grinning." How dare you call me a monkey!" He yelled. Suddenly he appeared behind the creature and reared for a kick midair toward his head. "Try calling me a monkey now!"
No good. Not only did I not find any leads but the whole time I was ignoring the large power levels at the Sky Port. One of them is strikingly familiar but it grows weaker and fluctuates. Could it be Tetsuya? he never could learn to maintain his power level steady... And with that Shusen flew at his top speed toward Sky Port. What ever the reason, based on his power level, he is either holding back...or is losing.

Cortez didn't try dodging. Did this guy even take a chance to notice the SPIKES on the back of my head? Cortez just stood there and almost felt the pain Monkey-boy had been going through as his foot slowly continued to get more impaled by the spikes. Cortez winked, "You tried to kick my quills? You silly monkey." Cortez controlled his Biosuit to wrap around his adversary's leg to carry him. He began dashing toward the edge of Sky Port, tightly gripping the leg and possibly dragging along the ground. As he saw the edge of Sky Port getting close, he smiled and said to his opponent, "Hey, monkey see, monkey do, right?" He leapt off of Sky Port and pushed the monkey off of his spikes as the two figures fell through the clouds. Cortez turned his biosuit into demon-shaped wings to guide the fall. "Valor City's here soon. How trained are you with fighting down skyscrapers?"

This gets more interesting by the minute. Tetsuya thought to himself as they continued their descent. He flew upward to slow their descent until he felt the attack was ready. "Off guard much?" Tetsuya yelled as he fired his Ki Cannon straight at the creatures face. It would've been more fun if he actually tried.
Shusen noticed a falling blob that was immiting the familiar ki energy he felt before. Could this be the moment I meet my brother again?

Okay, at least he isn't completely as dumb as a monkey. But seriously, he should have thought about this more. Cortez transformed his wings into a series of tentacles, yanked his opponent off of his spikes as the cannon was fired, and he swung his body around so How opponent faced the sky. Lame, I was too late. Cortez maneuvered the tentacles to swing them right in front of the cannon's blast. The force of it forced them down faster than they fell before. Damn, this thing hurts! I would be more relaxed if the Bioarmor wasn't connected to my Nervous System. Cortez noticed another source of energy from a distance, Another source of Ki? Godammit, I'm a hedgehog fighting monkeys. Here I thought it would be porcupines... Cortez let go of his opponent and drained the Ki Energy off of his Bioarmor. "Hey, we forgot to introduce ourselves. My names Cortez? What's yours? You have exactly three seconds to tell me." Cortez threw all the bombs that he could with the energy he collected, which totaled to about 6 bombs. All of them flew at the monkey-human in a formation, but instead diverted off and surrounded him. "Don't bother warping. I can sense all energy that I previously absorbed. Besides, these things are your energy, they're trying to return to you. You run, they follow." Cortez started hearing cars and engineering. Godammit. Just tell me soon so I can actually focus on having fun.

"The names Tetsuya! Thats all you'll ever need to know!" It could get troublesome with these energy balls but what if..? Tetsuya out strecthed his arms. I never manipulated this much energy at once. It's not like I have any other choice. Slowly but surely, Tetsuya managed to manipulate his former energy. Amazing! It took a lot of energy to manipulate put it paid off! "Cortez? Thats your name? No real point in remebering a dead ma-...er....things name. However, I'll give the honor of restarting this fight with the first move. If you have the guts!"
Shusen was closer now; and able to distinguish to seperate energy levels. He has grown alright. I suppose I shouldn't interfer yet. " Hey! Tetsuya! Long time no see! I'll just allow you to continue this fight! But then you have to tell me what happened to family!"
Shoot! My annoying brother. I might as well ignore him and continue with the fight.

Cortez smiled a confident smile, but he was actually quite amazed, He can manipulate that much energy? Not bad. But it's only five more seconds until they self destruct. Not only that, but if they're gathered around a source of similar energy, they'll try to move towards it. Heheheh... he'll be tasting his own balls... Cortez first created two double sided blades out of his Biosuit and carried them into his two hands. "Okay, Tetsuya, hold on a few seconds. I think somebody want's to interfere." Cortez focused on specifically one energy ball. Two seconds. Hopefully this attracts the person and can let me get away. He threw it into the direction of the second Ki source and smiled, "You have enough to deal with, and I have a bus to catch. See ya later, Tetsuya!" Cortez transformed the swords into two engines from his Gear and launched backwards at high speed. He then transformed them into wings again to guide himself, but there was no need. He began running down a skyscraper, staring at the shining lights of Valor City. "This'll be fun." Cortez started dashing away as he heard the energy balls explode. With his falling magnitude increasing his speed, he dashed down the skyscraper close to Mach-1, and his speed broke all the glass behind him a few seconds after he passed.

A teenager was walking through the streets of Valor City. He had just finished seeing an accomplice of his over lunch and he was ready to snag a plane ride to meet up with Kyte in Sky Port when he noticed people were making a lot of noise to his left. He ran over and followed the gazes of the crowd up toward the sky. From what it looked like, there were two warriors fighting in the air, slowly dropping by the second. People pointed and wondered what was going on, but Fusion ran through to see if any of them would show any harm to the citizens. Then he noticed one of them was a hedgehog and began running down one of the skyscrapers, breaking all the windows as he ran down at blinding speeds. This is bad, this guy must be trying to attack Valor City! Can't believe how fast he is! Fusion gathered energy in his palms from the surrounding city folk. Luckily there was enough in one place so he could borrow just a bit of energy from all of them without anyone noticing a tired feeling, especially with the scene they were watching. "Stop what you're doing!" he yelled as he threw an energy ball at Cortez.

Did he really think I didn't know? I caught on to his ability to manipulate energy. Though I didn't expect it to explode, I suspected some and I was right. Time to repay the favor. Tetsuya thought as he easily gave chase. Suddenly , a mere boy hured a massive amount of energy at Cortez. "Hey boy! This is my fight! Stay out will you?"
I don't want to lose them but....that boy just used the surrending energy to make that energy ball. Of course, Tetsuya wouldn't have noticed but still... Shusen contemplated as he also gave chase to the combantants. Suddenly he saw something coming his way. "Tsk" was all he said as he easily knocked the weapon. I hope he doesn't think that I'm as weak as Tetsuya.
