Ke$ha.

Her songs may be terrible and dirty, but she's raking in the dough. Sadly.

True, but what is also "interesting" is that how slutty this makes the children these days. Y'ah dang whipper-snappers you!

This is very, very true. Young girls want to copy their idols.

Hence the outrage at Miley Cyrus for being caught taking a bung at her 18th, and the many complaints at the X-Factor final where both Christina Aguilera and Rihaana both performed, before the watershed, provocative routines whilst half naked.

I just think it's sad that some singers - or their management - feel they have to resort to this to sell their music, rather than on the strength of their ability.

It's sad that parents actually let their children copy these idols. Lazy parents most of them, that's what they are.

And god forbid, if the idol does something wrong in the eyes of society, the parents all rage at them, thinking like the so called idols were the parents in the first place.

wonderfully said.

i just like the beats of her songs. im trying to find party songs without coming across anything dirty.

most songs these days dont promote love, instead they promote sex

You know, the target audience of the Music Industry want mindless, forgettable music that they can dance to. They don't care about who wrote or made it, they don't care about talent, they don't care about the lyrics as long as it's mindless and simple. It's really sad how much the Music Industry has fallen, and Ke$ha is the poster girl for it's fall.

This. Definitely.

In all fairness, though, ever since 'pop' appeared on the scene, there has always been bad pop, and there's been good pop. For instance, 70s pop was either inspiring and ingenious, or it was tinny shite.

And sometimes it's nice to know that you can be one of the fewer people blessed with the ability to listen to even mildly interlectual music. It makes it more personal to you, I guess.

But still.
Arrogant, prejudice popcore kids do tend to make me lose faith in humanity on a regular basis.
