R.P. 820: Prodigious Endeavors IC [PG-13]

Hayate listened to Andx as he spoke, he seemed to be slightly busy at the moment, he sighed as he closed the Laptop and at that moent said something but Hayate didn't quite here him. Then Andx explained that since the info was ready it would be best to start working on the key's, he even told Hayate that Enzax might be willing to help. Afterwords Andx said he had to check on Black and see how he was doing and that Hayate was more then willing to follow if he wished to speak more about things. Just then it seemed Black had entered the room as Andx was about to go see him, Enzax to had come in and said something to Andx again which Hayate couldn't hear. Hayate wished to speak with Andx, but before that Enzax walked up to Hayate.

"Hayate, I know you have the best for the group in mind, but I thought you would like to know something I found out while researching your device." Enzax stated as he pulled out a small computer. He pushed a button and a series of data tables appeared on the screen. "According to these readings, the more of these keys within the base area at a time, the more strain there is placed on the base. When the strain becomes to much the base will collapse, either physically or into another dimension, or possibly even both."

"Now there is another matter to discuss involving this technology." Enzax continued as he brought one of his Caliber Gauntlets out to show Hayate. "If we could adapt the technology I think we could finish this equipment here. But there will be risks that can't be avoided."

Hayate looked intently at the information that was braught up on the screen, "Intriguing, you managed to figure out a bit more about the device I see. Thats good, though you are right something has to be done about this. Your Gauntlet their what exactly does it do?" Hayate questioned when Enzax had mentioned the bit of adapting the technology. "Acctually hold that thought Enzax, Why don't we go down to my lab and we can work this out their." Hayate took the lead and headed towards where Andx and now Black where standing.

As he passed by them he stopped briefly to make a quick statement, "Good to see your health is good and your back to your regular duties Black, By the way Andx I'll talk to you later about the first half of that conversation I wished to speak with you about. For now Enzax and I will be down in the Lab trying to figure out this device a bit better and possibly fix the kinks in it. I guess for now the new members will have to wait on their keys, we'll have more information for you on these matters during the meeting when everyone arrives." Hayate looked over his shoulder to see if Enzax was following before he turned to head down the stairs to re-enter his Lab.

Enzax moved to follow Hayate, only stopping to look at Black for a moment before nodding and following Hayate out of the room. Enzax had decided to explain the Gauntlet's use on the way to the lab.

"The Gauntlet, in it's current condition is capable of holding a single Caliber Breaker, as long as it has the mana to power it. Now after looking into the device, I figured that by adapting the systems the Gauntlet could store more Caliber Breakers, and at the same time remove the use of mana as the conductor. The down side to this is that if we use the device as a launching point for this, the Gauntlet will strain the user for each stored Caliber Breaker. Meaning that if they absorb to much then they would, literally implode." Enzax said, without changing his tone once.

Enzax then put the Gauntlet away. What he hadn't told Hayate was his reason for researching the device. He believed it to be an item from before the time of magic, a time where devices and symbols gave people power. He believed that with the unlocking of such a power, he could complete his goals.

[The Warden]

The man saw the others walking off with their guide, obviously this was their lead to the head quarters of RP 820.As soon as they left his his vision he began to count dow slowly. [i]'Five...four...three...two...one...go'[/i] he though and pushed himself off the wall. He began down the street the others had gone, tailing them carefully whilst keeping a close eye. They were headed out of the Northern Gate, and so was he. Eventually the group stopped, this was his moment; turn and around and lead a hopefully normal life, or stay and make contact for what seemed like a very long time. Finally, he decided to stand his ground, locking eyes with Phantom as he turned around.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow sat, tossing a rock up and down as he waited for the members of rp 820 that were supposed to arrive to show up. Tired of the constant waiting, he formed two clones. The clones were each half the size of Shadow, and they each went towards the city of Valdres where they eventually came across the group of reinforcements that were being led by Phantom. One stayed while the other went into the city to make sure that nobody was following them. The one that stayed behind turned to Phantom and the others and, with Shadow speaking through it, asked what the crap was taking so long.

Meanwhile, the other clone, now having become invisible, inaudible, and intangible, continued on its way and soon came upon a man that was turning around. Shadow found this to be quite suspicious and so had the clone follow the boy, wondering what he was doing there, and why. This man wasn't ordinary, to be sure. For one thing, his skin was pale, and he also seemed to have a somewhat empty look on his face from the brief glimpse that Shadow had gotten through his clone, as though he had long since stopped caring about a great many things. [i]"I wonder just what this man has been through in his life. Then again, if he has the transforming power, a better question is what HASN'T he been through."[/i]
