[color="#800080"]Alex was calmly walking down the streets of Indawn Town, when a piece of paper smacked into his leg, due to the blowing wind. Alex lifted the paper, to find it was a flyer, advertising the Pokemon League competition, with the images of the Four Heavenly Kings and Champion blacked out, with white question marks on their silhouettes.[/color]
[color="#800080"]"Heh, so this is what we're up against, eh? Well, I already knew this stuff, but I shouldn't litter. Besides, now I know what they look like as opposed to just their names and types, and I shouldn't just litter..."[/color]
[color="#800080"]Alex walked over to a nearby cafe and ordered a hot chocolate and some Pokemon food. Alex sat down at an outside table, looking over the flyer and sipping at his hot cocoa. Alex then pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it up in the air. It opened on its hinges, and a crimson beam shot out. The beam molded and took shape before eventually producing Beldum, who emerged in a shower of sparks. Beldum clanged happily and shot into Alex's side with a Zen Headbutt, knocking the wind out of him.[/color]
[color="#800080"]"Yeh...Nice to see you too, Beldum...Now...Can you...Eat this...Food I got you...?"[/color]
[color="#800080"]Beldum clanged in joy once more and began to devour his food. Alex was always amazed by how Beldum ate, and the way he did so was indescribable. Soon, the bowl was totally clean, and Alex told Beldum it was time to get a move on. Taking note of the Debriment Gym leader, Alex headed into Source Cave, looking for new Ground-type Pokemon.[/color]

"Now Azura, remember, look after Milotic, call us often, and don't forget...." "Mum!" Azura protested. "I'm fine. I know what to do." Her mother sighed. "Fine then. Go have fun sweetie!" Azura grinned. "No worries!" With a quick hug, Azura walked away cheerfully. "Go Milotic!" She called. With a flash, her beloved Pokemon was there. "Miiiiiill." It purred. "Hey Milotic! Do you remember were we need to go for our first contest?" It nodded, headbutting her arm. Poking at the Poketch on her forearm, she turned on the map screen. Milotic, using it's delicate tail, pointed at a spot on the map. "So, first Contest is at Shorand City. Excellent! Lets go!" "Miiiiilll!"

***********Meanwhile, at Debriment Gym*************

"Pikachu, Volt Tackle!" Zasuka commanded. "Pika!" Her beloved Spiky Eared Pikachu nodded, and ran foward, electricty surrounding it as it slammed into the practice target. "Good job! Now Plusle, Thunder!" "Plllluuuuusssle!" It called, the move being performed, also slamming into the target. " And Manetric! Finish it off with Fire Fang!" Her Manetric leaped foward gracefully, fangs bared, glowing with red hot flame. After biting into the target it leaped away. "Good Job guys! We'll have a short break, then resume!" All Zasuka's Pokemon nodded in agreement.

[Mr Dr Professor Spaz]

"Well, what should I do in this long boat ride from Unova..." Then Anderson noticed a speedboat. He shouted to the driver, "Where are you going?" The driver shouted back, "I'm going to the Rokan Region, you want to come?" Anderson replied, "Sure, that's where I'm going anyway." He then proceeded to pull a pair of water skis out of his bag (OOC: yep, the abnormal way) and then came to the Rokan Region on those skis. "Thanks" Anderson said to the person, but the man was already gone. [i]Now the farthest house to the east.[/i] He knocked on the door. "I'm the technician." he said. The person who answered the door simply stated, "The problem fixed itself. Your services are no longer required." [i]Oh well, I might as well take the gym challenge...[/i] (OOC: Anything in italics is being thought)

Bruno was sitting in his room, deep in thought. Why his father suddenly dissapeared and why he left him this Pokemon? At that moment, Bruno decided that he should see the Pokemon he got entrusted by father. He took out the Pokeball from pocket and threw it into the air. A crimso beam appeared and in a moment, it formed a Pokemon looking like 2 gears connected with each other. He never saw a Pokemon like this, so he scanned it with Pokedex:

[i]Klink, the Gear Pokemon. Usually met in Unova Region. By having its two bodies rotate in gear formation, it creates the energy it need to live.[/i]

"How did it end up here? Was my father in Unova Region at some point?" Bruno thought. A moment later, he decided to introduce Klink to his other 2 Pokemon. He took out 2 Pokeballs and opened them. 2 Pokemon appeared, one looking like a metal plate with its back reflecting everything like a mirror, and a dog-like creature with big shield on its face. Bronzor and Shieldon. After they welcomed Klink, Bruno decided thay they should start training. After all, he was new leader of Blackpearl Gym.

[color="#800080"]Alex's journey through Source Cave was mainly uneventful to this point, only spotting a few Geodude here and there, and once he saw a Dangoro, but nothing of particular interest. Up until now, of course. There, digging in a secluded corner of the cave, was a small brown and navy-shape, and Alex would occasionally see flashes of white from over there. He decided to approach it, dirt being flung in his face as he did so. Alex didn't know how to gain the Pokemon's attention, so he just decided to shout "HEY!"[/color]
[color="#800080"]The shape leapt into the air and pulled a 180 degree turn, before staring at Alex in shock. Alex picked up his Pokedex ((OOC: All trainers are going to have a Pokedex unless you expressly say otherwise. This is due to Pokedexes being used as a form of ID, just like Trainer Cards.)) and scanned the Pokemon.[/color]
[color="#800080"][i]"Mogurew, the Mole Pokemon. By putting its claws together, it can rotate quickly and burrow through the earth at speeds over 50 kilometres per hour"[/i][/color]
[color="#800080"]"Mogurew, eh? Okay, Beldum, you're up! Iron Head!"[/color]
[color="#800080"]Beldum shot out from behind Alex, then rocketed toward Mogurew, silver energy surrounding his body. He shot into the barreled into the side of Mogurew, who was still a bit dazed from Alex's exclamation. However, he began to regain his focus, and as Beldum rumbled his way with a Zen Headbutt, Mogurew ducked and drilled its way down through the ground, causing Belduum to smash into a wall.[/color]
[color="#800080"]They waited. And waited. Mogurew had to come up some time. Suddenly, Beldum flew across the room, landing on the ground. Alex saw Mogurew drop down from the wall and ready his claws. Beldum slowly got up.[/color]
[color="#800080"]"Iron Defense, Beldum! Then use Zen Headbutt!"[/color]
[color="#800080"]Beldum's body shone bright as the little light in the cave reflected of off him, then his body glowed blue from the Zen Headbutt. Mogurew's claws glowed white. They charged, and clashed. There was a minor explosion.[/color]
[color="#800080"]As the dust cleadred, both Pokemon were still standing, but were exhausted. Alex saw this as an opportunity, and tossed a Pokeball at Mogurew. The sphere rocked back and forth three times, before a a *BOOP* sounded and echoed through the cave. Alex grabbed the Pokeball, returned Beldum to his, and resumed his travels through the cave.[/color]

Xavier was getting ready to get off the boat he was on to start his journey through the Rokan Region. His Poochyena was standing beside him, eat something he found on the boat, possibly a chicken leg. He was a little nervous, he haven't ever been away from his family for a long period of time. He shrugged it off, knowing he was going to see them again. He knelt beside his Poochyena, who finished eating the chicken leg.

"What do you wanna do when we get there?" He asked it.

Poochyena made a move which looked like a shrug, which Xavier had to laugh at. Finally, the boat docked at the Rokan Region, and Xavier got off. He looked around, then at his Poochyena.

"What [i]do[/i] we do now?" Xavier asked, half to himself and half to the Poochyena. "Might as well go with the flow."

Xavier and his Poochyena started walking away from the dock and to the start of their journey.

John disembarked from the S.S. Aqua at Indawn town "Alright now I'm at the South Pier...so that is where I should go North! come on Snap!" Snap Johnathan's Totodile followed with an eager "TOTO!" "Hmm you must be hungry...let's get some Nanab Berries eh?" "Toto!" "Alright! [i]Totodile has pretty low battle experience though...I do wonder if he can handle himself in this region he's kinda like Red's Pikachu but sigh...this reminds me of the accident oh god...[/i]" (FLASHBACK) "Who the hell are you?" "We are Team Debonairs! and your Feraligator is ours!" "Not if I can help it Heracross attack!" however Heracross accidentally rammed it's megahorn into the fusion reactor of the robot Team Debonairs was using and an electromagnet was activated..."Oy what is this Debonarian?" "I dunno dude!" "Ahh my pokeballs" A red flashing light was...flashing "Oh dude let's get out of here!" "[i]hm their right[/i] Heracross Return! ok now feraligat. he Heracross's pokeball!" "Feraligator!" KABOOM! an Nuclear Pulse was then let looks Severely wounding Feraligator and unfortunately Destroying John's Pokeballs "Run away grunt?" "Yes my fellow grunt..." "AHHHH!" "Feraligator buddy are you ok?" "...Toto?" "Feraligator what happened?" "Toto totodile..." "Hm it seems that pulse absorbed most of Feraligators Molecular Structure thus taking away all of his Evolved abilities and 'De-volving' him...hm well while I guess Totodile survived...*voice cracking the others didn't..."(end flash back) "*sniffle sigh come on dude..." "Toto!"

[color="#800080"]Alex was resting with Beldum and his newly captured Mogurew near the mouth of the cave that came out near Debriment Town. He had taken out his Pokedex and was busy scanning Mogurew as he ate some Pokemon food.[/color]

[color="#800080"]Alex was pleased with the data. He would be a great asset in the coming gym battle. Alex then decided to get another scan on Beldum.[/color]

[color="#800080"]The duo set to work breaking down the rock walls as Alex followed behind, and they eventually came to an underground lake. Alex looked around, not seeing anything, when a blue light began to glow in the centre of the lake. Out of the lake rose a formidable and terrifying shadow rose from the lake. It was...An Ononokus! ((OOC: They can use Surf, ya know))[/color]
[color="#800080"]As the Dragon approached them, a group of Kibago and Onondo emerged from behind the surrounding rocks. The Ononokus steeped its head down to sniff Alex, and he lifted his Pokedex to register it.[/color]
[color="#800080"][i]"Ononokus, the Jaw Horn Pokemon. Ononokus is covered in extremely durable golden armor. Its bladed tusks will not wear or chip, no matter what they are used on."[/i][/color]
[color="#800080"]The Dragon-type reared its head back and shrieked, obviously displeased by Alex's Pokedex.[/color]
[color="#800080"]Mogurew quickly stepped in front of Alex.[/color]
[color="#800080"]"Mogurew, Mogu Mo-gu!" ([i]Hey, back off, Captain Overbite![/i])[/color]
[color="#800080"]Beldum moved in as well.[/color]

[color="#800080"]Ononokus brought its head back down, realizing it knew the Mogurew. "KUUS! Onono, Ononokus!" ([i]You! What the hell are you doing here?![/i])[/color]
[color="#800080"]--(Skipping a bit of Dialogue)--[/color]
[color="#800080"]Ononokus finally agreed to leave them be, on the condition they leave immediately and never come back. Mogurew and Beldum weren't exactly pleased by these terms. There was a bit of arguing, and eventually it got to the point that Ononokus was going to attack if they didn't leave NOW. Beldum was not pleased, and rocketed forward with an Iron Head, knocking Ononokus into the water. Ononokus erupted from the water and a blue aura surrounded it, and a massive wave formed behind it. Beldum hit it with another Zen Headbutt, but it didn't lose its balance, as the last time Beldum's attack caught it off-guard. Mogurew burrowed underground quickly, and Alex managed to avoid a bit of the moisture.[/color]
[color="#800080"]Mogurew then came up from beneath the rock floor and whirled around, a wind whipping up around him that broke up some of the rock and attracted some dust particles, creating a makeshift sandstorm. Mogurew used this to his advantage with his Sand Paddle ability, racing forward whilst using Hone Claws. Then, he leapt into the air and drove a Metal Claw onto Ononokus' head, sending it back into the water.[/color]
[color="#800080"]Alex reached into his pocket and threw a Great Ball at the Dragon. The ball rocked back and forth a few times, before eventually stopping and *BOOP*ing. Alex grabbed the ball, then looked around at the room. He realized how selfish he had been, capturing the leader of these Pokemon. However, from the back, an older Ononokus stepped up and came to Alex, placing a claw on his shoulder and smiling. Alex didn't understand, but all of the Pokemon seemed happy. Confused, he left.[/color]

Anderson decided to head through Source Cave. His main intention was to catch a new ground type Pokemon because he knew the first Gym Leader specialized in Electric types. Unfortunately, the only Pokemon that appeared were a couple of Sandshrews and multiple Phanpy. [i]There's nothing good here...[/i] he thought. At the EXACT moment he thought this, he saw something he was not expecting. A Gligar. "Come out Porygon! Use Confuse Ray on Gligar!" Porygon's eyes glowed blue. Gligar began flying in circles and getting really dizzy. [i]This shouldn't be hard[/i] "Porygon Slam it to the ground with Confusion!" Porygon's eyes began to glow pink, as well as Gligar's body which came crashing down to the ground. "Pokeball go!" *Wiggle* *Wiggle* *Wiggle* *Click* Anderson picked up the Pokeball and put it away. He decided to leave the cave. As he was walking out, he noticed another person leaving the cave (OOC: Dharc, if you can't tell, that's you). He walked over to him and said, "Hello, my name is Anderson. You don't need to know my last name because it's the same as my last name. Still have no idea what my parents were thinking. Anyway, I would like to challenge you to a battle, but 1 thing. You cannot use the Pokemon you came to this region with. Accept?"

[color="#800080"]Dharc looked at the kid and smiled. "Alright, I just have to heal my Pokemon. Here, Mogurew." Alex handed the little mole a Sitrus Berry, which he gladly accepted, devouring it hungrily. Alex then applied some healing ointment to Beldum,who was also pleased, clanging in excitement. Lastly, he called out a weak Ononokus.[/color]

[color="#800080"]Alex scanned Ononokus once more whilst applying copious amounts of ointment.[/color]

Xavier and his Poochyena wandered around for a while.

"I'm guessing we need to go catch a new pokemon and train you up," Xavier told it. "But where do we go first?"

They decided to go find someone to talk to and ask. And hopefully go catch a pokemon as well.

(OOC: Where do I go? Just making sure.)

"Okay, but it would be courteous to tell me your name first. Also, just one Pokemon each, because I've only caught 1 Pokemon in this region. Anyway, come out Gligar!"
"Gligar!" (What's up Mogurew)
"Gligar, shut up so I can scan you." He pulled out his Pokedex so he could scan his Gligar: Processing...Processing...Analysis Complete. Subject--Gligar, Level 13, Flying-and-Ground Type, Known Moves: Aerial Ace, Sandstorm, Poison Tail, Quick Attack, Fury Cutter, Swords Dance. Ability: Sand Veil. Nature: Naive
"Well then, I'll make the first move. Gligar, use Sandstorm!" A vicious sandstorm came up. [i]This shouldn't be too hard.[/i]

After a short walk from her family's temporary home in a pile of rubble, Azura arrived at Source Cave. She knew it well, as she'd spent many happy times with her family just inside the entrance. Further along might be a problem, but Azura refused to let anything faze her. She had 2 missions, to get money to buy a house for her family, and to become Top Co-Ordinator of the Rokan. These missions were not taken lightly. It would take lots of work on her part, and her Pokemon too. "Hmmn, should I catch some Pokemon in there Milotic?" "Miiiiilll! [i](Of course you should!)[i]" "Great that I have your approval. Now, let's go!" Azura walked inside, Milotic following gracefully behind her.

***************Meanwhile, at Debriment Town**********

Zasuka gave up. The large chunk that had fallen off the roof of her gym was too heavy for her Pokemon. Too heavy. Even Manectric, her strongest Pokemon in physical standards, couldn't lift it. But she considered her and the gym lucky. In the short earthquake that struck, possibly the aftermath of a earthquake a few days ago, all she'd lost was a bit of roof. Some people weren't so lucky. Even though the earthquake wasn't considered extremely powerful, it had still destroyed houses far more than her gym. So a hole in the roof didn't really matter, compared to those who no longer had a roof to sleep under.

[color="#800080"]"Oh, sorry, where are my manners? I'm Alex, pleased to meet you. Now, Mogurew, use Hone Claws!"[/color]
[color="#800080"]Mogurew's claws glowed white as he struck them against one-another, sharpening them to a keen edge.[/color]
[color="#800080"]"Now, I should tell you something you may have overlooked, my Mogurew has the Sand Paddle Ability, meaning his Speed is doubled in a Sandstorm. And since he has a Jolly Nature, he was already fast to begin with, so watch out! Now, Metal Claw!"[/color]
[color="#800080"]Mogurew shot through the shearing winds, metallic claws bared, preparing to knock Gligar out in one shot.[/color]
[color="#800080"]"Also, Hone Claws ups both his Power and Accuracy, meaning there's less of a chance he's missing this one, and when he does hit, it's over!"[/color]

[Mr Dr Professor Spaz]

"There is a chance you will miss this. First, you forgot about Sand Veil. I'll simply use that to my advantage to avoid that move." As he said this, Gligar's silhouette in the sandstorm disappeared causing Mogurew's Metal Claw to miss. "Now, do I want a long, drawn on battle or a quick fight? I will say, your move did make me panic for a little bit with that move. Also, Gligar's Naive nature raises his Speed too. Anyway, Gligar use Swords Dance to power up your Aerial Ace!" Gligar's claws began glowing violet and then it moved in quickly for a very strong finish.

After Xavier finally asked where he had to go, he thanked them, and started going to his designation - the Source Cave. Poochyena lagged behind, the main problem him wanting to smell everything in his path. They finally reached the Source Cave, and Xavier sighed. [i]I never liked caves, but I'll suck it up.[/i]

"Come on, Poochyena, we need to go see what pokemon we can find," Xavier said, starting to run.

Poochyena had trouble keeping up with Xavier because of his short legs, so Xavier slowed down a bit. [i]I wonder what pokemon I can find in here.[/i]

Poochyena stopped and started sniffing a foot print in the dirt. Xavier bent down and smiled slightly.

"People must have come by here a while ago," Xavier told his Poochyena. 'Maybe we'll bump into one or two of them. Come on."

[color="#800080"]"Heh, if you want to be straightforward like that, Mogurew, use Hone Claws again, then Metal Blade!"[/color]
[color="#800080"]Mogurew's claws glowed white and he struck them against eachother once more, sharpening them to as keen an edge as possible. Then, his claws became metallic with a white outline and he swung them in a vertical arc at the incoming Gliscor, causing their attacks to clash, white streaks flying outward from both attacks.[/color]
[color="#800080"]"Mo...Gu...Mogu...Mo-gu-REW!" ([i]I can't lose...I...I WON'T LOSE![/i])[/color]

[Mr Dr Professor Spaz]

Both attacks collided with a large explosion. When the smoke cleared, both Pokemon were knocked out. "Well, that was a good fight. We should travel around together as friends. But first, I am going to modify your Pokedex so you can translate your language into that of a Pokemon. I can do this easily, in fact I'm a technician and a computer hacker, and Pokedexes have much less security than a normal computer. I will tell you an important lesson I learned from my blind cousin, Alonzo, who is also the fourth Gym Leader in this region. He told me,'Use all of your senses, not just your sight.' So tell me about yourself."

As Azura walked, she saw the shadows of Pokemon that dissapeared when they saw her. Milotic was silent at her side, until it started screeching, "MilMilMilOTIC! [i](Watch out! Steelix COMING!)[/i]" Azura patted in the head to calm it, but Milotic wouldn't be placated. It went backwards, and Azura followed it. A wise choice, because the ground began to shake, and a Steelix popped out. "STEEELLLLL! [i](Get out of here before I attack you!)[/i]" "A Steelix! Steel and Ground.... We can do this Milotic! Go, use Twister, then Water Gun!" "Miiiiillllll!" Milotic shot out the small hurricane, shinning silver with the wind that swirled. Milotic leaned back. "MIIIIIILLLLLLL!" It shot a powerful Water Gun into the heart of the Twister, causing the Twister to turn blue with the water sloshing around. The Twister sped across the ground before slamming into Steelix. "STEEELL!" It roared. Suddenly it charged, it's tail glowing a vibrant silver. "It's Iron Tail! Milotic, try and counter with Aqua Tail with extra Hydro Pump!" Milotic directed Hydro Pump at it's glowing tail, then sped foward before meeting Steelix's Iron Tail with it's own. They were there for a moment, pushing at each other, until, finally, someone gave out. "Steeeeeeeel!!!!!" Steelix roared, falling backwards. Azura, seeing the opportunity, threw a Pokeball. [i](Affirmative!)[/i]" "We'll have to make the best of it, won't we? It might not obey me in the beginning, but I'm sure it'll be as much as a friend as you are eventually!" Azura sprayed Milotic with a Potion, and continued to walk through the cave.
(OOC: So you know, Azura isn't sure if Steelix will obey her or not, but she isn't going to use it until she gets to Debriment Town. It almost fainted, so best be on the safe side, right?)

Azura continued, Milotic leading the way, so as to act as a lookout, or, to crueler people, a living radar. Not that Azura would ever call Milotic that. Milotic was a friend, even as a ridculed Feebas. After a while, Milotic stopped. "Miiillllll tic mill! [i](There are people ahead)[/i]" "Ok then, lets go meet them!" Azura said cheerfully. Rounding a large boulder, she saw Alex and Anderson. Milotic, a little shy, hid behind Azura's leg. Patting it on the head again, she walked foward. "Hello!" She called. "What are you guys doing here?" She asked.

[color="#800080"]Alex saw the girl approaching with her Milotic. "Oh, hey. Im' Alex, and this is Anderson. We just had a battle, and we're going to head to the Gyms around the region." A thought jumped into Alex's mind. "Hey, do you want to come with us? We need one more person for a trio." Alex thought this girl looked like a Coordinator, which was perfect, because many Contest Halls and Pokemon Gyms were in the same location. So, she would watch their battles, and they would watch her Contests. He always wanted to participate in a contest, but he's only had Beldum up until now, so it wasn't really possible, especially with Beldum's lackluster movepool...[/color]

"I'm Azura." She introduced. She considered their offer. "Sure, why not? I'll travel with you!" She smiled. Her family hadn't been eager to let her travel on her own, but she wasn't alone now. She had two other people to travel with. She'd have to tell her family who she was travelling with, but that wasn't easy. Only her brother had a phone. And he never answered. And now that they didn't have a home phone or computer or any other form of communication..... Azura looked down, and her smile faltered. Damn the Earthquakes. It spoiled everything. It gave her the second task of earning money, on top of her Contests.
