[spoiler=Plot]Light Yagami is an intelligent young man who resents what appears to be a relentless increase of crime and corruption in the world around him. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die, as well as various other rules. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it using criminals, he realizes that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light plans to become a god and establish a new world order by passing his keen judgment on those he deems evil and anyone who gets in his way.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira", is located in Japan. He also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them and that he is in Japan, after he uses a convicted criminal named Lind L. Taylor whose capture was kept secret, and who was condemned to die at that hour, pretending he is L so Light kills him. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a nuanced game of psychological cat and mouse between the two begins.

L realises Kira is getting information from inside the task force and sends 12 FBI agents to follow people connected to the Japanese police. Light tricks Raye Penber, his tail, into showing his ID, after which he kills all the FBI agents. Naomi Misora, Raye's fiancee, suspects Kira was one of the people he tailed, but Light finds out and makes her commit suicide using the Death Note.

Misa Amane, another Death Note owner, finds Light, after sending a video in which she claims to be Kira. She possesses Shinigami eyes which allow her to see a person's name and Lifespan, but cost half her remaining life. Obsessed with Kira after the Death of her parents' murderer, she devotes herself to helping Light, but is captured by L. Light makes a plan involving renouncing ownership of both Death Notes and all of his memories of them, and turns himself in to L for surveillance, as Rem threatens to kill him if Misa is not freed. Together, Light and L investigate eight people from the company "Yotsuba" who are using a Death Note for their own profit. While arresting the third Kira Higuichi, Light recovers all his memories when he touches the Death Note. He remembers and continues his plan of compelling the former owner of Misa's Death Note, the shinigami Rem, into killing L and his aide Watari, which kills Rem as a Shinigami cannot purposely extend a human's life. Light then gets her Death Note. Meanwhile, Misa again acquires the Shinigami eyes from Ryuk.

After L's death, Light is given the position of the "new L" by the Japanese Task Force. Four years later, Near and Mello - two children who were raised to be successors to L in an orphanage founded by Watari - appear, with the goal of finding Kira. In the meantime, Kira has gained much public support, and has contacts. Mello, one of L's successors who has joined the Mafia, kidnaps the Director of the NPA, but after Kira kills him, he kidnaps Sayu Yagami, Light's little sister, as a bargaining chip to get the Death Note. The Japanese Task Force plans to go to Los Angeles to rescue Sayu but ends up losing the notebook. The Task Force later attempts to retrieve it and succeeds in doing so, they also get Mello's real name. However, as a result of an explosion that Mello uses to cover his escape and one of his henchmen, Light's father Soichiro Yagami dies.

Near begins to suspect the second L of being Kira thus causing some members of the Japanese task force to also openly suspect him. Realizing the risk of being caught, Light has Misa give up ownership of her Death Note. He then finds his next successor, Teru Mikami, a strong, almost crazed Kira supporter, who kills Kira's last spokesman for their greed which helped Near escape from a crowd of Kira supporters. Mikami later recruits a new spokesman for Kira, Kiyomi Takada, a newscaster and one of Light's former college girlfriends. Teru Mikami and Kiyomi Takada continue killing criminals while Light is unable to do so himself. Kiyomi is later kidnapped by Mello and is forced to kill him with a hidden piece of the Death Note. Light kills Kiyomi to avoid her implicating him after she uses the Note to kill Mello. Mikami, unaware of this action, writes her name in his notebook, exposing it to the members of the SPK. Near has it replaced with a fake notebook and, in a final confrontation with Light, is able to use it to prove that Light is Kira. Realizing that Light had lost, Ryuk writes down Light's name in his own notebook, killing him with a heart attack.

Now, present day, there have been signs of more than 6 Death Note falling in different parts of the world. The rules say, that only the first 6 Death Notes can work, rendering the others useless until one of the first six are either destroyed, or returned to the Shinigami world. For some odd reason, the rules have been broken and that rule...has been erased. There have been at least 10 Death Notes dropped in a week and it is impossible to know where they will appear next. This worries the Task Force very much. Perhaps you are a member of the Task Force. Perhaps you are a weilder of the deadliest weapon on earth, the Death Note. Your time, is now.[/spoiler]

Appearance: Brandon is a chubby cocasian boy. He is obviously American, but tends to wear japanese clothing. ( Male clothing of course, weirdos ) He has brown eyes, dark brown eyes. He also has brown hair, much like Light Yagami's, only a little shorter. He is about 5'11 and weighs 202 pounds. ( Yes, he is a big boy ) He has a few scars on his arms, face, and pretty much his whole body. His facial expression when nothing is going on is a glum, sad look, much like the look of somone who lost a loved one, hint hint. When he writes, his makes it where his pointer finger does not lay on top of his thumb. When in lighting of the sun, his hair looks blond. His teeth are also strangely sharp.

Bio: Brandon was born in America on July 2nd. Growing up, due to his mother's side of the family, he gained weight. Not just a little weight, but quite a bot of it. Since then, he was teased. He always hated the people who teased him. He sometimes wwishes upon them death, and other times thought of suicide, though he always came to the same conclusion...that he was wasting his brain power. You see, where he lacked in being skinny, he more than made up for in mind power. Being a freshman in high school, his intellect was far beyond that of his fellow students. One of his teachers, unknown to to the entire school, was once a maniac killer, who was released and put through "mental help". It was said that he was cured of his illness and decided to prove it by becoming a teacher. His name is John A. Teddy. Mr. Teddy would ask questions, questions beyond the knowledge of the average freshman, and Brandon answered correctly every time. This, after about a month of school, bothered Mr. Teddy. His mental issues had risen again, and he now had some motivation. He went to Brandon's house while he happended to be out with his friends, and slaughtered his family. The police beat Brandon home, and arrested Mr. Teddy. Brandon, having nowhere to live, began to wander. While wandering, he came across an abandoned warehouse. He soon learned that a large company has been, and continues to, pay for this warehouse to keep its electricy, water, etc. So, Brandon made it his home. He soon got a job mowing lawns around his city. It was a good pay check though, for he charged 50$ a yard. Plus, he mowed about 10 yards a day, minimum. That is how he buys his food. Now, talking about recent occurrences: Just yesterday, he found a red Note book with the plain words "Death Note" on the front. It puzzled him, but he brought it back to his home. As he set it down and opended it, he smiled at what it said inside. "If only it were possible...", he said as he stared at the book. He finally decided, why not? He wrote down a name. It read "John A. Teddy". He looked at the book and laughed a little. "Is that the guy who killed your parents?", a voice said, echoing around the warehouse. Brandon turned around to see a large creature. The creature called itself Raptor. It soon explained that it was a Shinigami, and what the Death Note is, plus what is does. It is only a day after that now, and Brandon has a new outlook on things....

Shinigami appearance: Raptor is a humanoid shaped shinigami. His body is best described as a humanoid, black, panther that stands on two legs. Its legs are obviously powerful. Just by looking at them you can see the muscle withing the legs. Raptor's black fur has small streaks of red in it. Raptor also carries a bag on his side that carries his personal Death Note. His eyes gleam a sickening green. His arms are as, if not more, muscular than his legs. His spine almost tears out of his skin, just barely being held back by tissue and muscle. His teeth are razor sharp and his wings resemble that of an angel, the only exception being that his wings are black.[/spoiler]

While Alex's mother stayed with him and refused to feed him for a week, with a beating every night and morning, while his father went and raped the girl on two separate occasions, before he was arrested. The mother was arrested a few days afterward. Alex and his girlfriedn were reunited for a time, but the girl was raped and murdered by a group of gang-members, right before Alex's own eyes. Then, when Alex turned 14, a small black book fell in front of him. He picked it up, to find it was the "Death Note," something he had heard about a few years ago on the news...It had lead to a series of mass murders in Japan, and no one had known the cause for over six years....Yes, this could be just what Alex needed...He could get revenge on everyone who wronged him...Yes, Alex knew this would help him a great deal...And he also knew what to do so he wouldn't end up like Light Yagami...[/center][center][b]Note Book color: [/b]White[/center][center][b]Shinigami Name[/b]: Rezza[/center][center][b]Shinigami appearance: [/b]Rezza has grey skin and full-on red eyes. And I mean "full-on" as in pupil, iris, sclera, all that jazz. Anyway, he has long, shaggy black hair that goes down to his shoulders. He also wears an undone straight-jacket, and his arms are bandaged on the insides of the sleeves. His legs are wrapped up as well, with the bandages undone from his ankles on down. His wings are like that of a raven, large, featherd, and black. The wings come out of two torn holes in the straight-jacket. Rezza is about normal height for a Shinigami, at about 6' 3". His teeth are extremely sharp and keen, as he is a relatively young Shinigami. As such, Rezza is overeager, and sometimes a bit naive.[/center][center][b]Other info: [/b]Alex often goes by the alias of Grey Faltren, which he accomplishes by putting on a black wig, removing his hat, putting in green contacts, and covering his facial scars.[/center][/color][/size][/font]

Bio: Like most who end up master detectives, K was raised at Wammy's House, a premiere orphanage in Winchester, England that devoted itself to the training of children with exceptional intelligence and skills. She was far from next in line to inherit the position of L, a position eventually given to Near.

While Near operates in mostly mysterious ways, hidden way behind the shadows, K does a bit more to allow herself to seem more human. When sending a message to police, her eyes are visible, and her voice is not distorted in the same way L and Near work.

With the disappearance of Kira and the Death Note several years ago, she feels she has little reason to hide her identity as fiercely as they had. However, she still does take precautions.

Not quite up to Near's standards, they placed her on a case quite similar to the one L and Near were on, however Near deemed it "the work of amateurs" and a fine way to see if the woman could prove herself.

Other info: Typically seen as a woman with little emotion, however she has one weakness. She's is incredibly germophobic.

Bio: Bio: Nina grew up South Eastern England before moving to America at the age of fourteen with her rich adoptive family. She considers herself very intelligent but rarely ever shows it because she doesn't feel a need to. She dropped out of high school at the age of sixteen and decided to let her adoptive parents take care of her until their death, which she predicted would be soon due to their shared illness that day by day takes away their life.
Nina was both intrigued and saddened with the Kira case; although she only knows a little more than the general public due to personal research into the deaths, she was interested from the start with someone who would try to defy L, who she looks up to almost as a hero. However, as the case progressed, she was saddened by the fact that the public turned against L and towards Kira.
Once she discovered the notebook in her backyard one day, she thought it was a diary and accidentally killed her two parents, giving her the rich fortune they had for her to inherit. Soon enough the Shinigami, Grae, came to meet her and explained everything about the Death Note, omitting the Kira case. However, Nina fit the pieces together and guessed that the Death Note was used in the Kira case by Kira, which Grae reluctantly confirmed. Although at first Nina was not sure about the Death Note, after learning from Grae that more than one notebook is in the human world, she decided to rid the human world of the Death Notes, while only using hers in desperate situations.

Overall, Grae is not very caring when it comes to the human world. She dropped an extra notebook she found because every Shinigami seemed to be doing it. She has taken a liking to Nina, however, and at times is willing to help Nina depending on her mood. That being said, at this moment of time she is not willing to risk her life for Nina under any circumstances. Ultimately, she sees potential in Nina and wishes to see her last for as long as possible. Grae enjoys all kinds of human fruit, especially apples.

This proved that he was better at long-term decision-making and coming to conclusions than the other children. However, he wasn't good at making quick decisions, so there was some debate over his position as L's successor. Eventually, he was given "Quick," to act as contrast to his personality, just like Mello and Near. [/color][/size][/font]

So, I suggest someone find a Death Note and get to work." He laughed about this along with his colleagues for some time, but he eventually got the point across that he was serious. He has contemplated becoming Kira himself, but it is unknown what consequences that will have on him.

Bio: Shinji was born into a rich family. His parents were killed, of course, the killer sought money. Taking the family's fortune, Shinji was taken to Watari, after discovering his family's killer, at age 4. He was raised there, occasionally being assigned to cases. He has always studied stories of Kira. He always dreamed of being like L. L was his hero. He only met L when he was younger, but absolutely adores him.
A chooses his name from being Adamant, he never leaves until he feels he is done. He always strives for success and will hate himself if he fails. He never abondons a case until the criminal is put to fair justice. He gets this from his late father, Shinji, Sr. His last name is very known and usually caries around the family crest badge, which of course has a dog on it.
Other info: Much like how L loves cake, A, loves to smoke. He says it calms him. After seeing his parents own Death before his eyes, he chooses to carry a Sidearm, varying of his choice, in his vest at all times.

Bio: Sartorius, unlike other "Letter detectives", was born within a family. He was the happy son of rich business people. His mother owned a prosperous shoe company while his father owned a company that created weapons for the military. Sartorius was just like every other kid, and was not even that intelligent to begin with. Or, perhaps he was, and he had failed to find the intellect within quite yet. Whatever the case, Sartorius was just three years old...when his parents abandoned him. They didn't die and their fortune was not passed to him. He was sent to a foster home. The foster parents, by some kind of luck, were also business people. They, however, owned both the same type of companies that his original parents did. This, being that Sartorius was ten when he was adopted, peaked his interest. He researched these people and figured out that it truly was coincidence. Soon, his foster parents were killed, by none other than his original parents. So, their fortune was transfered to him and his original parents had a plan. They tried to suck up to him to get even more money and power. He didn't fall for it. His intelligence grew far beyond theirs and he saw through their hoax immediately. He soon proved that his parents were murderers and, using his giant supply of money, stood in the background for a long while. He had come out of hiding now to help investigate the "Multiple Kira" case. He is determined to show just how intelligent he is.
Other info: Sartorius, instead of eating sweets like L, eats peeled lemons. The sourness of the lemon doesn't, for whatever reason, effect him. He only takes off his bottom face mask when eating, but never in public, or when he does take it off in public, he inspects the area and wears a disguise.

Bio: Kyosuke is brilliant minded 16 year old. He however is a slacker in school, not really wanting to study, read, or do any of the work that is assigned to him. He has a Mother and a father, and an 18 year old sister he is even smarter than him. His home life is fairly normal, his father working for a popular TV station in Tokyo. He has many friends at school, all who think the world of him. He causes trouble sometimes, but is mostly well behaved. He has a girlfriend named Yumi, who usually comes to his house every other day. Most of the time spent at home for Kyouske is watching TV, lying on his bed, playing video games, getting yelled at by his sister, and looking at adult magazines. He plays soccer for his school and he's pretty good winning the league for his team. He basically has an average life.

He grew up in Australia, and spent a great deal of time studying the Kira Investigation when he was younger. When his father and mother were on a trip to Japan, they were murdered. Their murderer was in turn killed by Kira. At that point, Sosuke's view of Kira has been shaky, much like how Matsuda's was (However, he is more sure of his actions and less naive than Matsuda.) Then, when he realized Kira had killed many detectives, including the great L Lawliet, he was sure Kira was an evil, misguided fool. Sosuke rose through the ranks as a police officer not just because of his extraordinary merit, but also due to his superiors being killed by numerous different Kiras. He eventually apprehended 3 of them. Since then, the Australian Kira Crimes have been few and far between. He was personally selected by the new L, Nate River, to become leader of the United Kira Investigation Task Force, and now holds the highest authority when regarding the investigation aside from the detectives.[/font]
