Phantom Roxas
Like I said, maybe the slave was irrelevant.
Larxene
I agree with Roxas about the slave being irrelevant. Besides, Karkat's ancestor has already been hinted at. Also this.
Nexev
Tsh, atleast admit when you give up. Oh well, the pic is nice but I think a revolution thing would be more secretive, and not involve giant flags.
Shadow Zero
>Implying that Karkats ancestor would be quit and secrtive instead of loud and boisterous about it. Come on, seriously? you expect that from HIS ancestor? ...heh, w/e man.
Nexev
One who was so close to success that his name is taboo? The one who is a clone of someone was successful in hiding his bloodcolor for 13 years? Meaning he never got scratched in a planet where limb dismemberment was THE NORM? Yes, yes I do. Phantom Roxas
Unless Karkat got cut in the past and killed the ones responsible. Besides, the flags could have been displayed during their revolution. That or the picture of the army is for aesthetic purposes and should not be thought about too much. Anyway…
The Warden
I didn't know Tavros' ancestor was Troll Adrian Edmondson
Larxene
Poor Tavros. Your ancestor was a badass, and yet sadly you are not. The total opposite in fact. Still though I gotta say, even without knowing much about him, Karkat's ancestor is among my favorite ancestors.
Shadow Zero
Same here. Wish we could learn more about him, but that is not very likely at the moment.
The Warden
The only reason The Summoner was bad-ass was because Mindfang probably did it right whilst Vriska, well, you already know how THAT turned out.
Shadow Zero
Yeah, Vriska was far from doing it right where that was concerned. Shame, really. Then again, ALL of the Homestuck trolls are far from doing it right. lol Edit: Homestuck Hamachi? o.O
Nexev
I doubt Mindfang "did it right" because orchestrating your own demise is stupid. I think the trolls and ansectors are actually very different from what we've seen. The grand highblood was evil and nasty yes but he was sane enough to be a goverment official. A rather intelligent one too. Gamzee however is kinda mindlessly unhinged. Karkat is always destined to failure while his ancestor was so close at succeding that he is the troll version of Voldermort. Mindfang seems to never be nervous or shakable, she is cocky and arrogant but even when she is proven wrong she is just like "Oh darn, I am in deep s*** I guess, what a dick move". Duelscar is a failure at subtility since he tried to get the Highblood to kill Fang but everyone knew he was doing this, Eridan would simply try to kill Vriska until he died, not kill a random slave unless it got in the way or something. Redglare knew her dragon and it was the sole source of her power, Terezi never saw her dragon until a few seconds before it died. ETC
Shadow Zero
Yeah, they're basically kind of like opposites or something. I want to know more about Summoner and Karkats Ancestor.
The Warden
That's because the Grand Highblood was never destined to become the Bard of Rage, nor had he been melting his mind from sopor slime since he first came to the surface.
Shadow Zero
Both good points. The mind melting would be an important aspect in altering Gamzee's state of being.
The Warden
Frankly, it all has to do with the times. The Ancestors are the adult forms of the Hivebound Trolls. They got to adulthood and their growing up was influenced by the times. The Hivebound Trolls live in a world where only the children of Alternia live, until they become old enough to join in the ever-continuing wars. Of course they'd be different. Larxene
Except Gamzee IS intelligent. He's clearly showed to be able to manipulate Terezi into going after Vriska. If he were completely insane, he would've killed her right there.
The Warden
I didn't say he was completely braindead. Although, I'm not saying that Terezi is gifted in the brains department either.

If he were completely insane, he would've killed her right there.Except he is probbaly just copying Highblood because I doubt mindfang was the only person with a journal. Also this is Terezi. Gamzee hardly seems to really be trying to set Terezi up to kill Vriska. Terezi just wants to kill Vriska, she was going to anyway, Gamzee just decided to make it funnier but making them renact s***. fenrir
Except Gamzee IS intelligent. He's clearly showed to be able to manipulate Terezi into going after Vriska. If he were completely insane, he would've killed her right there. All he did was write a note to trick Terezi into meeting Vriska. Doesn't exactly require much brainpower to do. :/ Really, Gamzee is not that smart. That being said, you guys have to remember that Trolls are a species that kill. Simple things like ambushing and tricking one person to kill another is pretty normal. I don't think it really shows he's intelligent. If anything it shows he can think clearer now. Honestly while I want to think he was a genius pre-mind meltdown, there isn't much proof to say that. He's certainly acting smarter though. It doesn't take much intelligence to kill someone; the smarter you are the more fun it is, though.
Shadow Zero
Well, Gamzee sure was having a lot of fun killing people so...maybe he really is a lot smarter now that he is off of his regiment of sopor slime pies?
