To people that pretty much ONLY listen to metal...

Now before you go on. I mainly listen to brutal Death Metal (Defeated Sanity, Human Mincer, Pathology, Fleshrot, Human Rejection, Katalepsy, etc.) . So if you listen exclusively to metal, post what your favorite non-metal bands are. You may be surprised at what you see.

1. Honestly, and I hate to say it. I like Paramore. I really do. Don't know why, and I don't really care but they kickass.

2. Elton John

3. Boston

4. Madonna (mid to late 70's)

5. MJ (70's) didnt like his 80's - 90's stuff tbh. I like The Jacksons and Jackson 5 stuff.

6. Joe Cocker

7. The Who

8. Zeppelin, The Beatles, all of the late 60's - 70's rock bands.

9. Grand Funk Railroad.

10. Queen

11. Doobie Brothers

12. Fleetwood Mac

13. Journey

In no particular order:

- Tenhi (Folk/Rock)
- Peter Gabriel (World (later)/Prog Rock (early))
- T-Rock (Rap)
- Big Boi (Rap/Hip Hop)
- Krizz Kaliko (Rap/R&B )
- Deadmau5 (House)
- Chrispy (Dubstep)
- Plastician (Dubstep)
- Stenchman (Dubstep)
- Skrillex (Electronica/Dubstep)
- Gorillaz (Rap/Country/Soft Rock)
- Ophidian (Hardcore Dance)
- Angerfist (Hardcore Dance)
- Hanz Zimmer (Soundtrack Composer)
- John Williams (Soundtrack Composer)
- How To Destroy Angels (Industrial)
...And so on.

Anyway, I've been trying toget into Paramore recently. Could you recommend me some of your favourite songs? 'Cause the stuff I've listened to so far I've found quite bland and uninspired, but I'm into bands like In This Moment and Lacuna Coil, so I figured it might just be the songs I've listened to. 3:

I used to listen to a lot of Metal, mainly: Rammstein, Oomph, Powerman 5000, Gothminister and Deathstars etc. (Though they were often classed as Industrial Metal).

Now I've moved onto Dark Electro/Harsh EBM/Industrial stuff.
So artists like:
Aesthetic Perfection, FGFC820, Nachtmahr and Centhron.
UnterART are one of the newer bands I'm getting into a lot, becoming a top 5...

A 'soft' band I would enjoy listening to would be Depeche Mode.
