RPG: The custom wars

Begin by creating any number of NORMAL monsters and a field card.

With duels comes new cards, sometimes. Report those duels to me.

You can only use the cards you have earned and made thru this challenge.

With new cards, you make a story. If the story is good enough, it's worth ONE rep.

But legend has it that there are 'Champions'. Beat them... and you will recieve bonus reps(depends on world). But know that they are EXTREMELY hard!

Defeat all the champions, and the path to a 'New world' Will happen, granting you ALL my points at that time.

Five worlds, the last one represents the end of existance as we know it. Beat that one, and the other challengers must give you TWO reps.

Will you be the one to beat all 5 first??? Only time will tell.

To challenge a champion.. Just post these EXACT words, in this fasion:

COME FORTH, mighty guardian! I Challenge you!!

But be forewarned the consequences of loosing! You will reset either to what you began with, or the most recent boss defeated if you loose.

It's that form of rejection that ruins any chance for the phoenyx I speak of.

Phoenyx principle #1: Let not one form of creativity go without a chance.

So... my question is if you share my mysery about how they reject this.

Answer this, and this will be officially closed.

I hate to keep on saying this.

But there is too much work for too little gain.

We could make a whole bunch of normal monsters, duel someone with the same form of deck, and try to earn new cards, AND make a story about it in an attempt to earn a rep, OR we could make our own cards and go on living peaceful lives in the company of sword wielding monkeys?

Now which one would you rather choose?

I can almost assure you that most everyone will pick the later option.

I would choose the first because its a good way to promote competition.

How about a compromise. no story?

"A noble imagineer enjoys making stronger relationships, even if they are not his own."

Besides, they don't have to duel those who have not enterd this. Those who duel with this challenge could challenge anyone.

All you need do is report the duels.

I would choose the second, because it involves monkeys and swords.

A compromise is not the right way to go on this one.

Actually, to tell you the truth, it's not really a half bad idea. It seems like you're on to something, I like the idea of a competition, but it has to be more refined, more concentrated. It looks like you had an idea and just let your imagination pull it wherever it wanted to go. It has to be a lot more organized, and have more support from the members.

Possibly if you had discussed it with the members first (like made a concept thread where we could all input our ideas) it might seem more appealing. Also, you have to choose the timing for making something like this, like if you notice members talking about wanting to have a competition of some sort, you could throw this idea on them and see how they take it.

Simple. I don't necessarilly believe in time. I only resolute to imagination and intellect.

"One's mind is the greatest weapon of all" How else could you have invented the atom bomb? You would be too stupid.

But you are right, I always lack definition/scope. I can always use help on such things. But... do not suggest ot talk about'standards' ok? I have my standards about judging this already set...

Also, once you do that set, you need never make it again, just the new cards that I would announce.

I can see your point about time and whatnot. Time and, in fact, the entire universe is created by YOU and only YOU (no sarcasm there)

I must agree, when I invented the Atomic Bomb I was certainly not in stupid mode.

I was simply suggesting a more organized way of announcing this competition.

If you want us to accept an idea, you'd want to get the PUBLIC involved in preproduction.

Don't lay all of this on us so quickly.

That's my fault. Speed is my middle name(sorta). Given a chance, I would have an idea succeded.....

Yesterday.

But you are right. It would be advisable to talk about it. But why not just suggest additions here?

I am just simply too foolish and lazy to announce it to others. It's my way.
