Akarui walked up to the boat with a smile "This is gonna be fun." he stated as he boarded the boat which would take the students to the Duel Academy Island. "Ah first one here-WHOOA!" Akarui yelled, getting trampled by a mob of soon-to-be-students "That hurt." the now literally stepped-all-over Akarui stated on the ground. "Ugh, nothing to do now but just lay here." Akarui stated, thinking about his deck. "(One of the strongest archtypes in the world. Only one like it. The Metal. With it's extremely powerful Synchros and-)" Akarui thought, falling asleep thinking about his deck.

Lewis felt excited, he finally reached Duel Academy. After all that hard work, he finally had the chance to prove himself that he his worthy to be a Ra Yellow student. He continued to imagine of what challenges he might face. He raised his head and searched around Duel Academy, only to be amazed by the amount of challenges that might happen. But then again, after being on a boat for ages he wanted to rest in his dorm room. He for some reason didn't like boats, but they didn't allow plane travels. This is going to be even more fun than I could imagine, Lewis thought grinning.

((Man, this is a long first post))

The morning had finally arrived for one eager soon-to-be student of the new Duel Academy. Last night, this particular student couldn't sleep and was so eager, and nervous, about going to the Duel Academy. He hadn't even plan on going about a month ago, but thanks to a lucky win in the finals of a small regional contest, the young man was chosen to attend the new Duel Academy. It was a chance of a lifetime, and he was certainly not going to give up that chance. This boy of merely fifteen is ready to embark on a brand new life at the new Duel Academy.

The boy's name? Elliot Rune. Elliot awoke that morning refreshed and ready to set off. He awoke before his alarm clock could even sound off its morning ring. Elliot walked over to his window and opened up the curtains to look at the sky, which is particularly vibrant in color on this day. Elliot had a smile on his face as he thought of what it would be like living at a Duel Academy. He wondered about all of the powerful duelists that would probably be there.

That made him nervous. Elliot was rather an amateur when it came to dueling, and that's why he was placed in the Slifer Red Dorms. Though Elliot didn't know what the dorms look like, he had an expectation that all of the dorms would be high-class. Elliot had already finished his morning routine and has packed his bags earlier last night. Before leaving, Elliot's loving family entered through his door.

"Mom, Dad, Felicity." Elliot said with a pleasant smile. "Well Ell, today's the big day huh? We're proud of you Ell, and we wish you the best of luck at Duel Academy." Elliot's dad said. "Oh my baby is growing up so fast. Make sure to write to us." Elliot's mom said with a smile. "Hehe, alright Mom don't worry, I will." Elliot reassured her. "And did you pack enough clean underwear?" his mom asked.

Upon hearing that question, Elliot kind of blushed out of embarrassment. "A-Alright Mom, I don't think that'll be a problem." Elliot said hesitantly. Elliot's little sister, Felicity, then ran up to Elliot and gave him a big hug. She was tearing up, knowing that she won't be able to see her older brother for awhile. Elliot pat her head and smiled, also tearing up a bit. "It's alright Felicity. I'm not going away forever you know. Besides, I got you a present." Elliot said.

"You did?" Felicity asked in an excited voice. "Yep, wait here for a sec." Elliot then walked over to his desk and picked up a small green box. "Here you go Felicity. I hope you like it." Elliot said with a smile. Felicity quickly opened up, and to her surprise was a deck, a deck that contains her favorite type of cards. In her moment of excitement and happiness, Felicity gave Elliot a big hug that almost caused him to fall to the ground. "Thank you, thank you so much Ell, this present is great! A Naturia Deck!" Felicity exclaimed in excitement.

"Hehe, I'm glad that you like it." Elliot responded happily. "Hehe, alright Ell, your mom and I also have something to give you, but make sure not to open it until you arrive at Duel Academy alright?" Elliot's dad explained as he gave him a small blue box. "A present for me? I wonder what it could be? A deck perhaps?" Elliot questioned. "Easy now Ell, you won't know what it is until you actually open it and remember, don't open it until you officially arrive at Duel Academy got it?" Elliot's dad explained. "Heh, got it." Elliot responded.

"Oh almost forgot, your cousin Corey is going to be at Duel Academy too, make sure to look after each other alright?" Elliot's mom said. "Huh, Corey's gonna be there too? Wow, this is sure a surprise. Don't worry Mom, me and Corey are like brothers. I'll be sure to look after him, though I'm quite certain that he'll be looking after me. Anyways, it's time for me to go." Elliot said. After saying his goodbyes to his family outside of their house, Elliot headed towards the boat that will take him to his new life at Duel Academy.

Yurai woke up in his big Obelisk Blue dorm room, he yawns and stretched as he tsat up and scratched the back of his head. His eyes were only barely open as he walked towards the curtain closed window and opened the curtain, Yurai was welcomed with a bright sun and clear blue sky. Yurai had a shower and got changed into his obelisk blue dorm, the last piece of clothing he put on, was a belt with a hole in the middle, the hole seemed to fit an object.

Yurai walked to the bed side table and brough a little box out of the draw, he then typed a code int he numbers and opened it, revealing a bright solid blue "Quartz" diamond rock. Yurai took the rock and put in the hole in his belt, it was a perfect fit, Yurai then walked to the mirro r to look at his hair, perfect as usual.

Yurai grabbed his duel disk and placed his deck inside it, he then attched the disk to his arm and walked tot he open balcony, not many students were ont he grounds, Yurai could see the distant oceans.

"So." he thought to himself. "The new students arrive today, don't they." Yurai folded his arms and looked at his duel disk. "Today I have to shine."

When meeting new people one should smile in a friendly manor and greet them. Don't forget to maintain eye contact. This allows for both parties to engage in conversation and become friends. Don't be too tense or nervous, as this can cause awkwardness and kill the conversation. Just be yourself and everything will fall into place. For more information refer to page 45, chapter 2 Violet's multi-colored hair was the only thing visibal. The book she was reading, People and Communication, effectivly obscured her face. On her back was the bright red blazer, signifying she was in he Slifer Red's dorm. "Just be myself?" She mumbled flipping to page 45 for more advice. "I wonder if I should try it out now?" Violet stepped off of the boat that finally came to a stop. "Of course I should! That's the whole reason I brought the book."

"But what if I mess it up?"

"Will I sould at least try." Violet answered having an entire conversation with herself. She sighed closing the book, and hanging her head. "This is going to be harder than I thought....Now where are the Slifer Dorms?" The last part she whispered to herself before begining her search.

The door to Corey's house opened, as a winged skateboard-like thing rammed out on the street. Corey himself then appeared in the doorway and pulled his hand back. The skateboard flung back to his hand as he grasped it. "Well, this is the time...but I thought I would be more excited...I didn't expect myself to stay so...calm..." he thought as he rode across town. As he reached the harbor, Corey motioned to his board again as it folded up into a compact size. He placed it in his bag and awaited Elliot's arrival.

Gale looked around as the students and hopefuls piled onto the boat. He himself was a hopeful, but Gale knew that he would get a spot. He looked around for someone who seemed strong. He wanted to duel to pass the time. "Doesn't look like this year will be too exciting." Gale said to himself. "I don't see anyone who looks strong enough to go against me." He thought. "But then again..." Gale thought the first half of his sentance. "...This deck is one of the strongest out there." Gale said the second half aloud. "Hmph. Someone in this school should be strong enough to take me on and, at the very least, get close to winning." Gale said to himself. "Now to find an opponent." He thought.

((If you hadn't already, everybody should be posting about getting off their boat))

Elliot arrived at the boat just in time. Elliot was actually more late than he thought, but he was able to get on before the schedule time for the boat to depart. The boat he was on is just but one of five boats carrying a massive number of students to the new Duel Academy. On the boat, Elliot wanted to open up the box his dad gave him, but refrain from doing so as he promised his dad he would not open it until he arrived at the academy. Elliot was excited to know that his cousin, Corey, would also be attending the academy.

Corey and Elliot are like brothers to each other. They both love Duel Monsters and used to spend hours on end dueling and perfecting their strategies together. Corey and his family, however, moved far away to another city when they were kids and Elliot didn't have much time to spend with his cousin. Just on holidays would they see each other, but now, they'll be going to the same academy. Elliot wondered what dorm was Corey assigned to. Knowing him, Elliot thought Corey could be in the Ra Yellow or Obelisk Blue.

During the boat ride to the Duel Academy, Elliot noticed quite a cast of characters on the ship. They all seem to be estatic about the fact that they were going to be attending this prestigious academy, and some were boasting about being in Obelisk Blue. Elliot felt kind of lonely just sitting on a chair next to almost nobody. Elliot was nervous, and possibly scared, to be approached by a student of Obelisk Blue.

Finally the boat had arrived at the Duel Academy harbor. Elliot walked out and the first thing he noticed was how large the academy itself is. "Whoa, that's one big building." Elliot said, staring at the large main building.

Yurai remembered the talk of the channeclor of the academy yesterday, he was to wait at the front of the academy with allt he other students. Yurai walked out of his dorm room and out tot he front of the obelisk blue dorm where many stiudents were leaving the dorm. Yurai sighed and scratched the back of his head. "I guess we could welcome the new obelisks?"

"Yurai!' came a voice form behind, noticably it was a boy with short blonde hair, he seemed confident as he walked next to Yura, it was Trak, trak and yurai had been friends at the academy for soemtime, he was the first person that yurai had met and the only one he could initially call a friend. Many didn't think Yurai deserved to be in Obelisk Blue during his first year, even though his win/loss record spoke for itself. Until this day many still don't like Yurai, many in the Obelisk Blue dorm seem to exclude him. Lucky for him however Trak was very popular in the dorm, the desired effect of everyone liking Yurai in return didn't happen however.

"Meeting the new stdents are we?" Trak asked.

"Trak, yea I guess, this is my second year here, the first can be pretty tough."

Trak smiled and folded his arms. "I'll come with you then!"

The 2 then headed for the docks waiting for the boats to arrive.

As they got off the boat, Corey approached Elliot. "Hey, Elliot! Hope you've been keeping well!" he called with a smile. "Anyways, I have a gift for you!" he stated as he dug a hand through his bag, taking out a flat, oval-shaped object and handing it to Elliot. "I just finished it" he grinned as he pressed a button, causing the board to fold out, revealing a red model of his winged Duel Board. Then, he turned and stared at the building in front of them. "Well this journey is about to unfold" he thought silently as he imagined what the classes here would be like.

Elliot's face lit up as he saw Corey. "Hey Corey it's you! It's been awhile hasn't it?" Elliot said with a wide smile at seeing his long-time friend and family member. "A gift for me? You shouldn't have. Aww man, I feel pretty bad about not getting you a gift. My parents barely told me this morning about the fact that you would be attending this academy too." Elliot explained. Seeing the strange object, Elliot was puzzled about just what kind of gift it was, but once the button was pressed and the object turned into a Duel Board, Elliot was amazed by it deeply.

"Whoa! A Duel Board? This is great! Thanks for the amazing gift Corey. If only it came in blue. Haha, just kidding, this gift is amazing." Elliot said with excitement. "Well I'm glad that your here to share the journey with. Anyways, let's go. I heard that all new students have to attend some sort of assembly in the main building." Elliot said.

Gale got off his boat. He sighed. "No one strong so far..." Gale said. He looked around as the new students got off their boats and tried to find out where they had to go next. "Hmph. How long am I going to have to search for someone who can actually fight me evenly...?" Gale thought. "Better find out where to go next. It doesn't look like anyone here is strong enough." Gale thought. He looked around, and saw to students talking to eachother. One had a D-Board. "So he can ride, huh? That's interesting..." Gale thought. "I may have to duel him sometime... He looks pretty confident, too." He thought. "I'll keep an eye on that other kid too." Gale said to himself.

Yurai and trak walekd to the main building of the academy, not quite knowing where to go, they waited by sitting on the stairs of the academy. Yurai took his deck out of his duel disk. he began skimming through the cards and stopped at a specific one, "Quartz Diamond".

"that's it isn't it?" Trak asked. "the card you rely on most, the one you trust?"

Yurai nodded. "Yea, this card was the start to this Deck, without it I wouldn't have made the deck or come here for that matter and besides, I've heard a rumour of a powerful card it can form into."

"Oh? and what's it called?"

"I don't know, this card evolves into something much greater, I'm going toc ontinue looking for that card, and one day." Yurai clenched his fist. "i'll find it."

trak smiled then laybed back and looked at the golden sun. with his hands behind his back. "this is the only way into the building yea?"

"Think so, guess we can get a look at the new years students here." Yurai looked at his deck. "I know I can continue with my dueling the way its been." Yurai thought to himself.

"Don't worry about it" Corey smiled as he started to walk towards the building. "and I'm glad I'm not here alone" he replied in response to Elliot's statement. "I wonder what school will be like here...where everything will be about dueling..." he thought. "I wish they'd have a tech class, though. But...that's why they call it Duel Academy,,,". He walked into the main building and entered the main arena where the assembly was being held. He sat down in one of the seats and

Two of the first year students walked inside the main building and past Yurai and Trak. "I don't know how we're supposed to see their skillls without dueling them? Not much use in waiting out here iis there." Yurai stated as he stood up to walk in.

"So that's it?" Trak questioned. "Is that why you're so interested in the first years? because of the way you were treated upon arriving?"

Yurai looke ddown clenching his fist. He remembers how some students went as faras throwing his deck in the water.

"And that'sw hy you started working out as well? So it never happened again. Don't worry, with or without your guidance the first years will be fine."

"It's not guiding them, t's punishing those who aim to inflict pain." Yurai then walked inside quickjly followed by Trak, the main buildibgs seats were becoming full as more students cam in. Yurai and trak sat i the centre and at the very back.

"I wonder if there'll be some kind of introduction duel."

((Wow Bluster, your spelling and Grammar skills are off today lol))

Corey had entered the main building before Elliot. Before Elliot could go inside, he felt a strange chill which stopped him for a second. It was rather mysterious and creepy to Elliot. "W-What the heck was that just now? That chill?" Elliot asked himself. "Maybe I'm just imagining things." Elliot said as he regained his composture. Elliot then walked in and caught up to Corey. As the two enter the main arena, Elliot was shocked by the number of new students here. "Whoa, that's a lot of people. Good thing there's a lot of seats." Elliot said.

The two took their seat and awaited for the assembly to begin. However, the assembly probably won't begin until every single new student has arrived. Elliot turned his head to face Corey. "Hey Corey, I want to ask you about your deck. Did you get any new cards lately, because I'm stuck with my same old deck from when I was a little kid." Elliot said.

"Hello! I am Violet and I am delightfully thrilled to meet my fellow students." Violet said in a rehersed voice as she held her hand out to the boy and girl standing in front of her. They stared at her as if she was crazy. "Um...Sorry but we've got to...uh...Go." The boy said grabbing the girl's hand and quickly running away, leaving Violet staning alone. The smile of her face melded into one of confusion and her hand fell to her side. Did she do something wrong? No that couldn't be. She thought her book open once again. I did everything the book told me to do. I was flawless. Violet glanced around making sure she wasn't lost and still following the crowd. "I was kind of nervous....They must've noticed and wanted to leave the awkwardness that my nerves brought on."

"That's got to be it!" Violet grinned before submerging herself into her book. "I better cram before I see more people." Violet continued mumbling to herself not really paying any attention to where she was going. When she finally did look up from her book she was inside of the building she saw from the docks; no doubt the main building. There were hundreds of seats, both empty and not. She took the first empty seat she saw which was directly behind two males. One was a slifer like her and the other was in Obelisk blue. The slifer asked the Obelisk something about his cards, but Violet was more interested in her book. She was going to try her introduction again but she wanted to make sure it was perfect this time.

((I lol'd at Violet's attempt))

Still awaiting Corey's answer, Elliot suddenly remember something. "Umm, can you hold that thought Corey, I just remembered something. Hold on." Elliot said as he reached into his bag and pulled out the blue box that his dad gave him. "I forgot that I had recieved a present from my dad. He said not to open it until I got to the academy, and now that I'm here, I guess I should go ahead and open it huh?" Elliot explained. Elliot was eager to see just what kind of present his dad had placed in this box, but then Elliot stopped. "Hmm, I don't know why, but I kinda feel like not opening it right now. Maybe I'm just nervous to see what's in here." Elliot said.

Remember, don't be nervous. Just be yourself like the book said and everything will fall into place. Whatever the heck that means. Hopefully this will go better than my earlier attempt. Violet tried to pep herself up for her second try. Softly she closed her book, and gently laid the book across her lap. She took a deep breath, leaned forward and tapped the two males in front of her on the shoulder; one of which was holding a strange blue box. "Excuse me. I am Violet Rockwell, and I wish to engage you both in a stimulating conversation. Please do not let my nerves create awkwardness and entice you both to leave." Violet quickly opened her book muttering, "No, no that wasn't right. I wasn't spposed to say that......Page 35 says....First impression are important as they-Yeah I read this part already." She quickly flipped through the pages. "Maybe it was page 53...Stay in control of the conversation.....Try not to offend others in a conversation-No thats not what I'm looking for either.""

Elliot was once again about to open up the blue box but suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder. For a mere second, that tap reminded him of the cold chill he felt before entering the main building. He was scared that something was haunting him, but Elliot quickly snapped out of his paranoia and looked back, noticing a girl with a book on her lap. Elliot looked at her with a smile as she began to talk. The way she talked was rather, out of the ordinary. After she had finished talking, Elliot was left with a confused look on his face on what was going on. "Umm, is everything alright there? If you're trying to introduce yourself, you just need to say hi and your name you know. Like this, hi there, I'm Elliot, nice to meet you." Elliot said with a smile and placed his hand out for a handshake.

OOC: lol I know I kept making heaps of mistakes and eventually got to the point where I said "I give up lol" also is it okay if I duel an NPC out of the building? It'll allow me to show u my cards and for use to make a statement on whethr they are balanced?

Yurai and Trak both sat in secluded seats as they did not want to be mixed with the first years on the other side, Yurai began scanning the new students, mos tof them seemed like they had been there for a long time, however there were 2 that appeared to be just like Yurai and Trak, Yurai watching these 2 boys, these friends and only after just arriving to the academy, Yurai began to remember when he was in this building for the first time, he was all alone, no one to call a friend, but these two boys across the room, known to be elliot and corey, both already had each other, it brought a smile to Yurai's face. He began thinking to himself. "Why do I have this urge that I need to meet them?" he thought to himself. Suddenly Drake and his 2 tubby friends arrived Drake sat next to Yurai and put his arm over him.

"Buddy!" Drake said sarcastically. Yurai suddenly turned frustrated as drake continued. "What's with the face, are you finally ready to duel me or what?!"

"You know I don't like dueling scum." Yurai exclaimed. "But for you I was born ready."

Trak sighed. "Yurai didn't you want to meet the new students?"

"There's always time for that." Yurai stated as Drake and his 2 goons walked out the building, Yurai was about to walk out the door when he stopped and looked at the 2 kids across the area, elliot and corey talking. Yurai smiled. "Who knows how strong their bonds will be, but for now at least they've got one." Yurai then turned and walked out the building, followed by Trak.

Corey turned behind him as he felt a tap on the shoulder, seeing a girl. "Oh, hello there. My name is Corey" he introduced himself alongside Elliot as he held out his hand. "Is there something we could help you with?" he asked as he halted his arm who was holding a card that he was preparing to show Elliot. "I suppose that can wait until after this" he thought as he slipped the card back into his deck. Then, he turned his entire body towards the girl in order to properly converse with her.

Violet looked up from her book when the boy, who soon introduced himself as Elliot, began talking and giving her advice on how to introduce herself. He ended with his hand out. She blinked stunned at the turn of events. Wasn't she supposed to be the one introducing herself? She sarted the conversation. Oh no! I am not in control of the conversation anymore!! Violet thought her thoughts flying a mile a minute, while her face remained in shock. "O-oh...I guess you are right." She cleared her throat and smiled-Just like the book said. "Hi, I am Violet Rockwell." She shook his hand for exactly 3 seconds before letting go and doing the same to Cory, who introducd himself a few seconds later. Now to make conversation. Page 39; Talk about something that both parties have in common. This way the conversation can flurish and the bonds of friendship will increase.

"I see that you two are also in dorms.... And, Uh..We all have decks...um..." She faltered and quickly reffered to the book for answers. Her cheaks were slightly red from fustration, and her brow was knitted together as she quickly read her book for answers.

After a while she looked up at the two males to address Cory's question. It was rude to not answer a questio directed to you, "There is not anything in which you could help me with Cory. I am simply trying to be friendly and become aquainted with my fellow students." Her eyes glanced back down at the book and a slight nod followed afterwards. That was a flawless execution!

Yurai stood opposite to Drake, Drake had black hair with a big slap of it over his face, he was also in obelisk blue as was Yurai. Drake continued to grin as he activated his duel disk.

"Duel!" Drake called. Yurai took his quarts diamond off his belt and put it on his duel disk in a small hole in it, the duel disk immediatly activated.

"Duel!" Yurai called. The 2 then drew 5 cards each. "so why the sudden change of heart, you never wanted to duel me before why now!"

"You could say, I got a rare card!"

"A rare card?"

"hehe, I draw!"

Drake's Turn

'I set 1 card face-down Defence Position! and set 1 card face-down! Turn End! What will you do!"

"His so confident, he was always to afraid to duel me, so why now?" Yurai thought.

"Violet huh? Well it's nice to meet you Violet." Elliot said with a smile. Elliot noticed Violet reading her book and gave Corey a look. A look that seems to say "(This is a rather strange way of socializing)". Elliot never met someone like Violet before. Someone who seems as if they just met another human being. It certainly proves Elliot's point that this acdemy was filled with quite a colorful cast of characters from all backgrounds and personalities. Hearing Violet's statement about how they all had decks and were in dorms and her response to Corey's question cause Elliot to yet again put on a confused face. He didn't know how to follow up to that. "So, uhh, I see you're a Slifer Red like me huh?" Elliot asked with a smile, hoping to make her feel comfortable around him and Corey, though it was a longshot.
