Task 2 is up.

Hila, yes, I know. I'm sorry, I'm a generous guy by nature and I don't really like telling people that their cards suck, but it's not like it would have changed the end placings if I had been less generous. Plus it was the first round of my first contest as a host, and I'll remember to be brutally honest next round if necessary.

Spent the best half of the afternoon on these, I don't enjoy the process of making Insect Archetypes, but they came out ok.

Meet the "Grassblade" Archetype.

Advantages:

- The Insect Approach and attack alterations benefit grassblade monsters much more than any others in the long run.

- There 'sent to the Graveyard' effects can be exploited to do serious damage even when not on the field.

- A variety of useful effects are used, with various abilities for each card, making them versatile.

Disadvantages:

- Reliant on the continuous spell card, without that, some of there main strategies cannot be enacted.

- Can be quite vunerable when intially summoned as power increases only after your Standby Phases.

- This strategy can make you quite vunerable as it requires a lot of cards to be discarded.

[spoiler=Grassblade Cards]

Monsters:

215632xj.jpg

You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 "Grassblade" monster. This card gains 200 ATK during each of your Standby Phases when "Grassblade Sanctuary" is face-up on the field. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 Insect-Type monster on either players field for this card to gain 500 ATK until the End Phase. If it was an Insect-Type monster from your opponent's field, Special Summon it during their next Standby Phase. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can discard or destroy 1 "Grassblade" monster in your hand or on the field respectively.

215632uh.jpg

This card gains 200 ATK during each of your Standby Phases when "Grassblade Sanctuary" is face-up on the field. After this card attacks, switch it to Defense Position. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can halve the original ATK of 1 Insect-Type monster on the field to increase the ATK of 1 other Insect-Type monster on the field by the same amount until the End Phase of your next turn.

215632tf.jpg

This card gains 200 ATK during each of your Standby Phases when "Grassblade Sanctuary" is face-up on the field. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can change the battle position of an Insect-Type monster your opponent controls. If you do, this card must attack it. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, increase the ATK of all Insect-Type monsters you control by 200 (permenantly).

215632kz.jpg

This card gains 200 ATK during each of your Standby Phases when "Grassblade Sanctuary" is face-up on the field. When this card is flipped face-up, This card's ATK becomes twice its original ATK. If this card is attacked by an Insect-Type monster while in Defense Position, you can pay Life Points equal to the difference between this card's DEF and your opponent's monsters ATK to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, halve the original ATK of 1 monster your opponent controls.

Tuner:

215632h.jpg

You can discard this card to add 1 "Grassblade Sanctuary" from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, you can change the Type of a non Insect-Type monster on your opponent's field to an Insect-Type monster until the your opponent's next End Phase. When this card is sent to your Graveyard, you can destroy 1 face-up Insect-Type monster your opponent controls.

Synchro:

215632g.jpg

"Grassblade Chlorofly" + 1 or more non-Tuner Insect-Type monsters

This card gains 200 ATK during each of your Standby Phases when "Grassblade Sanctuary" is face-up on the field. When this card attacks, increase its ATK equal to it's target's Level x100 during the Battle Step. When this card would destroy an Insect-Type monster your opponent controls, instead of destroying it, you can take control of it until the End Phase.

Spell:

215632i.jpg

All monsters on the field become Insect-Type monsters. Decrease the ATK of all Insect-Type monsters on the field by 500. When an Insect-Type monster your opponent controls is sent to the Graveyard, discard 1 card. If not, destroy this card.

Well heres mine then... the Vassila's!

[spoiler= Monsters]

[spoiler=Queen]302788j.jpg

If you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing a "Vassila" monster, you can destroy cards on the field up to the level of the tributed monster. As long as this card remains face up on the field, during either players damage step all non "Vassila" monsters lose 500 ATK and all "Vassila" monsters gain 500 ATK. This card cannot be selected as an Attack target.

[spoiler= King] 302788n.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned, destroy 1 card on the field. The following effect activates depending on the destroyed card:

Spell: Destroy up to 2 cards on the field

Trap: Destroy 1 card on the field an add 1 "Vassila" card with the same frame as the destroyed card from your Deck to your Hand.

Monster: This card gains ATK equal to the destroyed monsters DEF and loses DEF equal to the destroyed monsters ATK.

If you control a face up "Vassila Queen", you can tribute this card to increase the ATK of all "Vassila" monsters on the field by 500 and all face up "Vassila Queen"s can Attack directly this turn.

[spoiler= Chamberlain]302788z.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned, you can select and destroy 2 cards you control. If you activate this effect, during each of your Standby Phases add 1 "Vassila" monster from your Deck to your Hand. If you control no Spell or Trap cards, this card cannot be selected as an Attack target.

[spoiler= Strategist]302788c.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned destroy 1 card on the field. As long as this card remains face up on the field, during your Main Phase, you can pay 1000 Life Points to destroy 1 card on the field and add 1 "Vassila" monster from your Deck to your Hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activated this effect.

[spoiler= Assassin]302788j.jpg

When your opponent Sets a monster, you can pay 500 Life Points to declare 2 numbers. Pick up the selected monster. If the selected monsters DEF is equal to one of the selected numbers, destroy that monster.

[spoiler= Synchro]302788b.jpg

1 Insect-Type tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters.

When this card is Synchro Summoned, destroy up to 5 cards on the field. For each card destroyed, this card loses 500 ATK. If this face up card has 0 ATK, destroy all cards on the field and take 300 points of damage for each card destroyed in this way.

[spoiler= Spell and Trap]

[spoiler= Spell] 302788rh.jpg

When a non-Insect-Type monster is Summoned, you can pay 1000 Life Points to destroy that card and Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Vassila" monster from your Hand.

[spoiler= Trap]302788c.jpg

Once per turn you can tribute 1 face up "Vassila" monster to destroy 1 card on the field. When a card is destroyed by this cards effect, add 1 "Vassila" monster from your Deck to your Hand. If this card is destroyed you can pay 1000 Life Points to destroy all "Vassila" monsters you control and inflict 1000 points of damage for each card destroyed by this effect.

Hemipterians! Here they are!

[spoiler=Hemipterians]226908u.jpg

Lore: You can discard this card from your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Hemipterian" monster from your Graveyard, except "Hemipterian - Worm Swarmers". If you control a Field Spell card while this card is face-up on the field, you can decrease the level of 1 "Hemipterian" monster in your hand by 2, until the End Phase.

226908j.jpg

Lore: This card can attack a number of times equal to the number of "Hemipterian" monsters you control. If you attack your opponent directly, you must discard a card from your hand to the Graveyard.

226908r.jpg

Lore: When this card is Summoned (including Special Summon but excluding Flip Summon), you can Special Summon up to 2 "Hemipterian - Mosquito"s from your Graveyard. Those monsters can not attack, be tributed for a Tribute Summon, or be used for a Synchro Summon this turn. If there are no cards on your opponent's side of the field in the same column as this card, during each of your Standby Phases, inflict 1000 points of damagd to your opponent's Life Points.

226908g.jpg

Lore: When this card is Summoned, you can add "Hemipterian" monsters from your Deck to your hand equal to the number of "Hemipterian" monsters you control. You can then take damage equal to the combined level of those monsters x200 to Special Summon 1 of those monsters from your hand.

226908r.jpg

Lore: Each time a "Hemipterian" monster is Summoned (excluding this card), this card gains 300 ATK. Destroy this card if you control no other "Hemipterian" monster.

226908jv.jpg

Lore: 1 "Hemipterian" Tuner + 2 or more "Hemipterian" non-Tuners

All "Hemipterian" monsters you control gain ATK and DEF equal to the number of "Hemipterian" monsters you control x300. Each time a monster you control deals effect damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can add 1 "Hemipterian" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can Special Summon 1 of the monsters used to Summon this card from your Graveyard.

226908l.jpg

Lore: Increase the ATK and DEF of all "Hemipterian" monsters by 300 for each "Hemipterian" monster you control. This card can not be destroyed by card effects if you control a face-up "Hemipterian" monster. Each time you Summon a "Hemipterian" monster, you can add 1 "Hemipterian" monster from your Deck to your hand.

Advantages:

-Majorly swarms

-Gets monsters to the field easily

-Gains effects the more they are

Disadvantages:

-Not many of these on the field=No power
