Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Academy - Rise of the Shadows [Started/Only Accepting on Occasions/Co-Hosted by .:Blu:./OOC]

Well I rarely see Hotaru RPing in yugioh RPs or making cards so it's understandable that her OCG isn't very good. On the effect part, yeah I'll have to agree that it's pretty Op'd, especially that first effect. I mean whoa, if someone facing you likes to swarm the field, I can only say they better have something to counter or good luck to them. Might want to reduce the power of that card.

OCG is original card grammar, basically refers to how the effects should be written, if you want to get better at OCG, maybe try to find the OCG thread on this forum (I don't know where it's located sorry), or you can also get OCG help from looking at yugioh cards as reference on Yugioh Wiki, and finally the third option is to ask people on this forum who are good with OCG to help you. I'm one of them B)

Well here is the most recent list I can find:

http://www.yugioh-card.com/uk/limited/

The first list is the forbidden list (banned cards), next is limited which means you can only have 1 of those cards in your deck, and the third list is semi-limited meaning you can have 2 each in your deck

.:Blu:. if your so great then how would you do the OCG for an archetype that has an effect for themselves then another effect for others of that archetype and I side note can anybody help me think up a good name for magical robot archetype.

Oh and if you haven't realized it I'm making an archetype and that's how it works.

Hotaru I'm pretty bad at the OCG but if its general card concept and balance I'm pretty good at it so if you want you could PM me your cards and i could give some input.
<-------Really just wants to see your cards.
Magitech
Lv 3 / Earth / Machine / Effect
ATK 400 / DEF 1200
:This card: can attack your opponent directly.
:Other "Magitech" monsters you control: if they attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of a Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.
The parts in :-: are what I need to work on making uniform, like how the deformers are While in Attack Position: and While in Defense Position:, see what I mean.

Here's the fixed effect for you Trimage :)
Magitech
Lv 3 / Earth / Machine / Effect
ATK 400 / DEF 1200
This card can attack your opponent directly. While this card is face-up on the field, during battle between another "Magitech" monster you control and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower then the ATK of your attacking monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.
Oh I understand what you mean now, but that effect wasn't the type to have those dots unless you add this to the beginning:

"When this card is [insert summon type], you can select and activate 1 of the following effects:
etc."

And that can't be done on the card maker here, but I can do it with my own personal template

Ehh, Spell Core sounds pretty weird for a monster archetype, it sounds more like a spell card to me....

Evilfusion, I understand why you are confused about the NPC my character is dueling using Final Attack Order and Big Bang Shot. Well, if someone has an monster capable of piercing, then the other person would switch the monster to their highest stat (mostly Attack Postion). However, since there are some level 4 monsters with higher Def than level 4 monsters with high Atk. So Final Attack Order will result the player to Summon monsters with the highest Atk they can. Therefore, the NPC will be dealing more damage, since the player won't be using monsters with high Def.

But you realize that Final Attack Orders only work on face-up monsters, meaning your opponent can still Set normally.
Yes, that is true. However, there are plenty of cards that flip face down monsters face up. Plus, thanks to Big Bang Shot, the equipped monster will receive piercing damage and I'm unaware of any level 4 or lower monster with 2800 or more attack. Also, there aren't that much cards that activate their effect when Face Down making Setting a monster quite useless, but more useful Face Up.
As Evilfusion said in the IC Thread, most monsters have lower Def than Atk. Therefore, anyone in that situation will Summon most likely high Atk monsters and Setting will be rarely used (Unless they have an high enough life points to risk losing a lot for flip effects).
And I do know that about Final Attack Order, since I have the card and I was the one who hyper linked it.

Dementuo, yes that would work. The problem is that most high Def monsters that don't require a tribute are level 4. It would be sucessful with a card that would lower the level of all monsters on the Field.
