shelds9
Nommus Laiceps, a very rich man and great duelist, has decided to host a Dueling Tournament. Not just any tourney, but an Archetype Tourney. 12 people have entered their Archetypes and they will duel for the chance to battle Nommus' newest, most powerful deck that has never been used before! Without further ado, let the competition... BEGIN!

- This IS my first Fan-Fic - Chapter 1 is up! - Each Chapter will be 1 duel long - I if have forgotten something, please let me know... - I will start posting a new Chapter every day I can get on, so a Chapter will be up about every few days...

1. Lys - Lys is a very extraordinary duelist. She uses the "Starshot" archetype which use many different concepts, but Lys can use them all at once! 2. "Colossas" - A man that loves good ATK and DEF but without many drawbacks. He uses "Colossal" cards which do just that, but certain things happen based on your opponents field or what they do. 3. Barney - He is a very smart man. A scientist and an electrical engineer, he uses Thunder-type monsters. Not just any Thunder-type monsters, but "Binary" monsters which can Summon level 0 Tokens to the field! 4. Twile - A girl with a half-and-half personality. Sometimes she is very kind, but sometimes is very mean. She uses "Twilight" monsters, which are LIGHT and DARK monsters that have alter egos. The LIGHT can be Tributed to bring out the DARK ones and vice-versa! 5. Carney - A "sweet", "charming" girl. She acts like a goody two shoes most of the time. She is the last person you'd expect to go all out attack in a duel. That is why she catches her opponent off guard with her "Carnage" archetype, who have insanely high attack powers! 6. Crystal - A beautiful young women who is quite wealthy and is also a great duelist. She uses "Kristeel" cards, an Archetype that does not use monsters, only Spell and Trap monsters! 7. Dexter - A man that talks via facial expressions. He uses "Density" monsters which can switch themselves into face-down attack position! 8. Porter - An old man that was in the war. Being in the war taught him that peace is better than war. He uses "Point Defender" cards which can attack while in defense position! 9. Shien - A Samurai Sensei who uses Samurai-like monsters. It is like 2 archetypes in one but he uses "Wysoki" monsters, which have negative effects on the low level "Tanie" monsters, which have negative effects on "Wysoki" monsters. 10. Thorn - A middle-aged man that does not have much of a personality. He uses "Vereor Force" cards which have good effects, ATK and DEF, but have negative effects on other "Vereor Force" monsters! 11. Tork - A man that is a little looney... in a dark way... He uses "Detrimental" cards, which gain ATK based on certain things, but have a max. ATK, which means their ATK cannot go any higher than it! 12. Deceit - A man with a rather distorted face. He uses "Decision" cards which have multiple effects that you can choose from! 13. Nommus Laiceps - The host of the SAD Tournament, the winner will get to battle him and his never before seen deck, that is, according to him, the most powerful deck in the galaxy!

"Without further ado, let the first duel of the first round... Begin!" sounded the voice of Nommus Laiceps as the crowd of fans shouted frantically. Carney and her long, dark, precious hair stepped up to one side of the field, while the calm, blond haired girl called Lys took her place on the other. "I think it is only right if I start this Tournament! I will draw, then play Carnage Soldier, in attack mode!" A demon with a sword-saw pooped out of the overturned card. "I will place one card face-down and end my turn." "Hmmm... High attack..." thought Lys. "I will summon my Starshot Spearmaster, in attack mode. When it is summoned, I can destroy 1 monster on the field and we both take damage equal to its attack points!" shouted Lys as the warrior exploded and both players took 2500 points of damage. "That activates my Trap Card, Anti-Carnage! When a monster I control is destroyed by a card effect, by sending monsters from my deck to the grave equal to the level of the destroyed monster, neither of us can attack during our next turns!" said Carney as-a-matter-of-factly. "So, by sending 4 monsters in my deck to the grave, we can't battle." "No matter," said Lys as she waved it off. "I will set 3 cards and end my turn." "Heh, heh, heh..." laughed Carney quietly. "I must thank you for signing your own defeat this quickly! Now, by removing the 4 monsters I sent due to Anti-Carnage, I can Special Summon my Ace Card!!! Come forth, Carnage Void Dragon!!!" A black and purple monster erupted from the card, causing the world to go dark. "Whatever" said Lys, but inside, she was truly afraid of this 5000 attack point abomination. I will then summon Carnage Cleric in attack mode! Now, by making my Void Dragon lose 2500 attack points, I can Special Summon my Carnage Soldier due to the effect of my Cleric! You're lucky I cannot attack, for you would be finished if I could... Your move..." "Lys drew her card awkwardly, barely taking her eye off the Dragon. "I activate my face-down, Starshot Triplets! I can Special Summon Starshot Tokens, equal to the number of monsters you control. Now I play another one of my face-downs, Majestic Duo. I select one monster on the field, and I can Special Summon a monster from my deck with the same level. I choose one of my Tokens, so now I can special Summon a level 3, and I choose Starshot Brain. I will play my final face-down now, Rainbow Path! I tribute monsters on my field, to Special Summon a monster from my deck whose level is equal to the total levels I sacrificed. I tribute two of my Tokens to Summon Starshot Ressurector! Due to Rainbow Path's effect, we would both take 1000 points of damage, but due to my newly played Ressurector's ability, you take the damage that I would have." Carney looked quite alright with being reduced to a mere 3500 Life Points. "I don't know why I was afraid of that monstrosity... I will win in my next play!" I will finish you by activating Starshot Punishment! You now take damage equal to the number of level threes on the field times 900! If my math is right, you take 900 for your Cleric, 900 for my Token, 900 for my Brain and 900 for Spearmaster! That is 3600 points of damage. Game, set and match, Carney..." "And so the action-packed first duel comes to an end with a victory for Lys!" shouted Laiceps over the PA...
Hila Ⅰ
I spotted my character !! Good layout, maybe a bit more lenghty duels, I mean the girl was beaten quite easily. Can't wait to read more however (^^)

Lexadin
I spot my instant favs. The duel was, kinda short. It could have used some more action. I'll look forward to the rest. Also, I can't remember did I enter my Twisted Destiny archtype?

dogfish44
Silence means it's good but not great, or that someone cast a silencing spell. Anyway, the duel was good, but short. Also, the formatting wasn't my favorite, but that's your choice (Felt a bit squashed). I hope the duels with archetypes submitted in the contest are longer. And why does the smart guys get called BARNEY, a nerdy name like everywhere else. Insulting name, but nice to see my guy!
