Phant0mZPlayer
I pretty much suck at intro's so lets move onto the point. Let me clear the advantages and disadvantages of both consoles. PS3 Advantages 1.Blu-Ray technology- Blu-Ray discs hold more data so the games have more potential. Also, the coating used on them makes the discs scratch resistant. I believe blu-ray players read scratched discs pretty well too. 2.Very low failure rate- Probably the biggest reason why its worth the extra dollar. 3.Built-in controller rechargable battery- No need for Duracell AAs like on the 360, Simply need a mini USB-to-USB cable to charge. 4.Much more computer friendly than the 360- PS3 is essentially a computer. It offers much more USB support than the 360. External HDs, USB adapters/splitters, USB headsets, just about ANY bluetooth headset, flash drives, even older USB Logitech wheels from the PS2 will work. 5.HD upgrade flexibility- You aren't limited to "Sony only" equipment. Drive must be 2.5 inch and spin at 5400 RPM I believe are the only requirements if you wanna invest in more space. And you gotta get an external HD if you wanna do that anyway so even more space. 6.Free Built-In Wifi Disadvantages 1.Price. 2.PlayStation Network has an issue every now and then. Also kinda slow sometimes. But its hard to complain when its free. 3.Less PSN users. That's all I can think of Xbox Advantages 1.It has more live users then PSN 2.Costs less 3.I have to admit, Xbox LIVE is better then PSN. 4.Xbox Shop or w/e it's called Disadvantages 1.You have to pay for Online play. 2.Lacks Blue-ray player 3.Hardware failure (Red ring of death, system over heating, etc) 4.100$ just to get wifi 5.No web Browser I own a PS3, and most of my friends own an Xbox, everyday in school we argue over this. I obviously prefer PS3 over Xbox, no offense to Xbox 360 fans, but I'm just stating the truth. Forget about the exclusive games, because that has almost nothing to do with the consoles ability, and forget about Move and Kinect, because we all know Wii owns them both. Limited Edition KING
I only bought PS3 because I'm more used to the controllers than the xbox controllers. That's due to being the first console I owned was a PS1 and then got a PS2 and then a PSP and yeah you get the idea. And the fact that online is free. If microsoft make online free and if they fix the RROD issue I'm sure I'd buy one. Both are good consoles I just prefer PS3 because I'm more used to the controls of it. Guest Mako109
I find the controls for the 360 to be better IMO. They are much better to FPS games than the PS3's controls, based on what I used with my friend. Although I have never owned a PS3, or played one, based on what I have seen, what is said in that video is my opinion. And I grew up playing the Xbox with my cousins. So I am used to it more. I have never had the RROD, and mines an older model. I have had a full ring, but that was easily fixable. Besides, Halo. Yea, 'nuff said.

Plus, its hella funny. I get your point, but I did this for all those people who deny the truth ^^ BOTH consoles are amazing in their own ways, but my point is, which one do you PREFER? Oh and UNCHARTED 2 B*TCH ^^
Twig
Yeah, let's forget about the PC and Wii. Also, watch at 8:56 in Mako's video.
Phant0mZPlayer
Yeah, let's forget about the PC and Wii.Also, watch at 8:56 in Mako's video. I'm talking about consoles, there's a LARGE difference between Wii and Xbox/PS3 The games are much different, so is the way of playing, and like I said, this thread was made to ask you which one you PREFER. Phantom Roxas
PS3 has far more exclusive titles that interest me more than XBox. If there is a XBox exclusive that interests me, my friends will probably have it already and I can just play it with them.
Ice.
Wait, are you implying that the XBox 360 has games? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You're hilarious, kid.
caslee
PS3 is best in these both. I got both of that but my first preference is PS3, PS3 is more comfortable then Xbox360, Great performance, Best for online gaming and nice stylist design. Excellent updated features. Xbox360 also nice and great for gaming but PS3 is much better then Xbox.
Great Unclean One: VK
I love how people say Halo is exclusive to the Xbox. In truth, they hadn't sealed the deal and said it. Yet saddly Halo ended. PS3 is superior in terms of service and quality. Less break downs and less idiots then on the Xbox. Though we have less skilled players, we have far less hackers and boosters. The PS3 just needed a few games and a spokesperson to boost our sales. The 360 needed a franchise and a complete remake. Though the 360 completely surpasses us in terms of users and quality of games, it suffers from hardware problems and is easy to hack. The 360 is far superior in terms of FPS games and online service. The PS3 also suffers from a completely rare hardware malfunction. Unfortunatly, we have to pay to repair it. Though we do have Playstation Home. But that's just the Sims. The 360 has something I envy. Idolm@sters. That and a load of Ecchi games. But you don't got Umineko. Yes, Umineko is coming to PS3 only. Thus we will smite you with the red, blue, and golden truth. Legend Zero
I can play faster paced on the PS3 than the 360... Both are excellent, by basing my vote off online experience I gotta go with the PS3...too many 'gamerz' on the 360, they blame everybody but themselves when they do bad. Flame Dragon
Forget about the exclusive games, because that has almost nothing to do with the consoles abilityUm no. The deciding factor when you get either a PS3 or 360 is two things, the exclusives and what your friends have. Since the consoles shouldn't be labeled as better or worse based on something like what other people own since it's outside of their control that leave the exclusives and the key to which on you buy. And as I've said 9001 times before this is because the 360 and PS3 share 90% of their there game libraries. The thing that makes the PS3 the better buy and over all the better system is that the exclusives it has are better over all (as well as more varied) as well as the fact that the bulk of the 10% or so game the 360 has that the PS3 doesn't can be gotten for PC. Yes the abilities are important, but in the end the reason why some one will get any system is for one of the reasons I laid out above. Either your friends have the system and you want to buy the same one to play with them (this is the main reason people get the 360 imo, but since this is my opinion it could be dead wrong), or the system has a game you can't get anywhere else. The very reason I think the 360 is worthless is because almost all of the games it has can be gotten on another system to a similar effect. If you like 360, that's all fine and good since it does have other things to offer that the other console competitors don't, that being the great online experience, but that only gets it so far, especially when you need to pay for it. Yea, 'nuff said.IMO this argument makes no sense. The controller layout is almost identical. Really, the only change is that the analog stick and D-Pad are changed on the right side. I don't see how the right back trigger feeling more trigger like on the 360 makes it better. But I hate FPS (that the other reason why the 360 is worthless to me). Really everything is a matter of preference. Want a great online experience & love FPSes: 360Want a wide range of good exclusive and multi-platform games: PS3Want some of the best exclusives, around: Wii (this one is bias) Also while I like Wii best, imo the PS3 s the best all around since it has a good exclusive line up and gets all the good multi-platform games. The 360 is a one-trick pony imo and the Wii gets the shaft out side of it's exclusive line up. Also the reason why people only care about the PS3 and 360 is because they are competing for the same market because they share so much and as said it's all preference in what you get. Also this is a topic we already have an official thread for so if people want to continue this convo it should be moved there. Lock
