[spoiler=Basic Idea and rules]

The Thunder Archetype, a neglected set. While the Batteryman and Watt are nice in my option, I believe that they deserve more, much more. So, I'm starting this contest, whose goal is to create a new thunder archetype. The only rules

*At least 5 Effect monsters and 1 synchro monster. One of the effect monsters must be a tuner

*One or more trap cards

*If they are written cards, they must be described in detail in their appearance.

*A maximum, and minimum, of four contestants

[spoiler=Cost and Prize]

Cost; 10 points

Prize; 100 points to the winner and a rep. The others can gain a rep if I like their designs as well

Here are my cards:

[spoiler=Electro][spoiler=Electro - Dargen the Warrior]226908b.jpg[spoiler=Lore]Lore: As long as this card is face-up on the field, any monsters that would be added to your hand by a card effect are Special Summoned to your side of the field instead.

[spoiler=Electro - Gon the Specialist]226908c.jpg[spoiler=Lore]Lore: When this card is Normal Summoned, you can add 1 "Electro" monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck to your hand.

[spoiler=Electro - Kay the Destroyer]226908w.jpg[spoiler=Lore]Lore: 1 "Electro" tuner + 1 or more non-tuner monsters

"Electro" monsters you control gain 200 ATK and DEF for each face-up "Electro" monster you control. When you Special Summon a monster from your Deck, you can Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard with the same name as that monster.

[spoiler=Electro - Belle the Supplier]226908sp.jpg[spoiler=Lore]Lore: When this card is Summoned successfully, you can Special Summon 1 "Electro" monster from your Deck to your side of the field. That monster gains 500 ATK and is destroyed during the End Phase.

[spoiler=Electro - Voltt the Beast]226908m.jpg[spoiler=Lore]Lore: If this card is in your hand during your Standby Phase, you can add 1 "Electro" monster from your Deck to your hand. Each time this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Electro" monster with 1500 or less ATK from your hand in face-up Defense Position.

[spoiler=Electrifier]226908k.jpg[spoiler=Lore]Lore: Once per turn, by paying 500 Life Points, you can select 1 face-up monster you control. If the selected monster is not an "Electro" monster, it is treated as one for the rest of the Duel. If the selected monster is an "Electro" monster, Special Summon 1 monster with the same name as the selected monster from your Deck.

[spoiler=Electro - Niko the Technical]226908.jpg[spoiler=Lore]Lore: As long as this card remains face-up on the field, increase the ATK and DEF of all "Electro" monsters on your side of the field by 300. Each time an "Electro" monster is Special Summoned to your side of the field, inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.

These cards, the Electros, focus on swarming the field and Gon works on adding cards to your hand, while Dargen Special Summons them for you, and Kay feeds off of that to complete the cycle with his own effect.

No offense, but this contest is poorly made. You need more detailed info, like when we begin, when the cards are due, a list of the entered contestants, where we post the cards or if we PM the to you, stuff like that.

I really like this idea, I'm in.

Hooray for changes of hearts!

I've gotten the points, please post before January 1st if preferable. And now, NO MORE SPACE! Oh, and there is an additional, secret offer given to the winner. This prize can be refused and from there to go to the runner up. I will leave a hint though

My monsters are the Ohm Fighters, which are actually humans, but have intergrated with electricity so much that they have gained powers from it. They focus on "Ohm Counters" and swarming. They arent complete, and they're written cards. Tell me if this is enough detail please...

[spoiler=Ohm Fighter - Jen the Swordslady]

Ohm Fighter - Jenn the Swordslady

2200 ATK / 1300 DEF

LIGHT

Thunder / Effect

Level 4

"When this card is Summonned successfully, place 4 Ohm Counters on this card (Max 10). For every Ohm Counter on this card, this card loses 300 ATK. Discard 2 cards to remove 2 Ohm Counters from this card. You can place 2 Ohm Counters on this card to destroy one Spell or Trap card your opponent controls. Whilst this card has 7 or more Ohm Counters, this card can attack directly."

Image: A slightly tanned woman, about 28, with blond hair, wearing a full black armour, with yellow trimming. She doesn't wear a helmet however, but a sort of iron mask, which allows her hair to be loose. The mask is mainly black, with eyeholes revealing neon green eyes, and a lightning bolt symbol etchhed in Yellow where the forehead is. The background is made of a small village, with thunder clouds in the background. She holds a sword in her right hand, which is black with a yellow handle, and also has a shield, shaped in the traditional shape. It looks like an electrical circuit, except with black replacing the usual green background. On it, are 10 different lights, which light up in correspondance to the number of Ohm Counters she has."

[spoiler=Ohm Fighter - Hill the Archer]

Ohm Fighter - Hill the Archer

"You can discard 3 cards to Special Summon this card. If you do this, place 3 Ohm Counters on this card (Max 5). Twice per turn, you can place 1 Ohm Counter on this card to draw 1 card. Remove 5 Ohm Counters from this card to select and remove from play one card from your deck. You can skip your draw phase to add all cards removed from play by this effect to your hand. For every Ohm Counter on this card, this card loses 400 ATK."

Image: A slightly tanned male, likely between 18 and 21, wearing black fabric trousers and top. On his back is a Yellow Quiver, with Black Lightning Bolt marks. He fires Yellow arrows with black feathers. He has black hair, and his Bow (which is held in his left hand) like Jenn's Shield, is actually an electrical circuit, except with only 5 lights rather than 10, and yellow instead of the black. In the background id the same small village as that of Jenn's background.

[spoiler=Ohm Fighter - Russ the Scientist]Ohm Fighter - Russ the Scientist

- Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of Ohm Counters on this card *100

- Place Ohm Counters on the Synchro Monster equal to the number of Ohm Counters on this card."

Image: A sort of chemistry lab background, with a scientist in the foreground, with yellow shirt and black trousers. Each button is a small black thunder bolt, and the scientist is male and shown to have aged, with grey hair and a balding patch. He is also very lightly tanned, and holds a rusty spanner in his right hand, and a chemical flask in his left, which contains a green liquid.

If there are 2 or less Ohm Counters on this card, this card can attack directly."

Image: A tanned man, around the age of 30. He wears armor identical to that of Jenn, except his Helmet is a full one. Apart from that, he is identical to Jenn in terms of appearence, except he wields his shield and sword in alternate hands, and the lightning bolt is not on his helmet, but a small emblem on his chestplate. He also stands in front of the small village, the same one as Jenn and Hill.

This card can be Tribiute Summonned with 1 tribiute if the tribiute is an "Ohm Fighter" monster. If there are at least 20 Ohm Counters on this card, you can release this card to destroy all cards on your opponents side of the field.

Image: A wizard wearking robes and mask extremely similar to those of Dark Magician, except in black with navy trimming. He holds a black wooden staff, which has a yellow pearl at the end, with green jewels surrounding it. His face is covered by a mask near identical to Jenn's, except there is no mark on it. The background is what appears to be a church from the village.

LIGHT

Thunder / Synchro

Level 7

1 "Ohm Fighter" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Ohm Fighter" monsters

This cards original ATK cannot exceed 5000 with this effect. During your standby phase, you can remove 20 Ohm Counters from this card to destroy up to 3 monsters your opponent controls. If you do this, during the end phase, place 15 Ohm Counters on this card.

Image: A man seated upon a throne made of electrical pieces, apparently in the same lab as Russ. He wears Yellow Robes with a Purple Cloak, and Black Crown. The man is old with grey beard, but holds a sword above his lap.

[spoiler=Ohm Cradle]Ohm Cradle

Continuous Trap

Pay 100 life points to remove 1 Ohm Counter from 1 card you control, and place 1 Ohm Counter on a card you control.

Image: A newtons cradle placed on a cluttered desk, except the usual ballbearings are emeralds, and they are held with white electricity, rather than string. On the desk, it is possibble to see a small pen drive and cell phone, which have a remarkable similarity to the Morphtronic ones.

[spoiler=Great Resistance]Great Resistance

Trap

Activate when an "Ohm Fighter" you control is attacked. You can activate 1 of the following effects:

- Negate all battle damage and draw 1 card

- Remove up to 5 Ohm Counters from 1 card.

- Place up to 5 Ohm Counters on 1 card.

Image: Jenn, Hill, Russ, Sinn and Zenn all surrounding a building, fighting of hordes of Dark Blades from all direction, both on the ground and those riding Pitch Black Dragon. Around them is some form of luminous sphere.

[spoiler=Current Change]Current Change

Quick Play Spell Card

Select one monster you control. If the selected card loses ATK for every Ohm Counter on it, it gains an equal amount of ATK instead. If the selected card gains ATK for every Ohm Counter on it, it loses an equal amount of ATK instead. Destroy the selected card during the end phase, and you take damage equal to that monsters ATK.

Image: A glowing switch, surrounded by wires running of in every direction.

DONE.

(I think that's obvious enough ^.^)

True, only two archetypes really in said type, the Battermyan and the Watt, none of them exactly terrifying, and only a few monsters, such as Mist Valley Thunder Lord (more Wing Beast if you ask me), and Twin Headed Thunder Dragon (Does anyone use that card?) and Sanga of the Thunder (Again, does anyone use it?) with more than 2000 attack points. Well, I'd advise Dogfish to be finished with said card designs, and for Shadow Alpha to post his, and then the winner is declared.

You have no idea. My little bro' (Shinato, Demise of Oblivion) uses a batteryman deck with every single batteryman card ever made in it, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEAT!!!! And I've been playing for what, 10 years and I'm not too bad. But that deck is impossible to beat, so so NOT underestimate the power of Batterymen!

Dueling that deck is like when Yugi uses Multiply on Kuriboh, they're everywhere! No matter how many times you destroy them, they KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE!!
