Pokemon Marroh Region RP!

Welcome to the newly discovered region of Marroh! My name is Professor Jonas. This region has a large number of pokemon that are just waiting to be discovered! I myself just arrived and got settled in, so I have not been able to check out the region and find pokemon. I did however, bring brand new Pokedexes, which I just created and fine-tuned myself. These Pokedexes have built in cameras that you can take pictures with. Take pictures of the Pokemon you encounter and send them to me via bluetooth connection. They will arrive at my PC, and I will be able to update the collective Pokedex! There are old Pokemon that you have probably seen, as well as brand new Pokemon! You have to send them to me though, so I can update the Pokedex!

 

All you have to do is come down to my lab. I'll give you a Pokedex and any 2 stage basic pokemon there is. Then, take your Pokemon and travel across the land, searching far and wide! I wish you luck in your adventure and quest to becoming the grand champion of all Pokemon.

Allow me to explain the battle system here in Marroh:

 

When you encounter a Wild Pokemon, you will be given a few options. Your first option will be to run away. The second option I will grant you is to fight the Pokemon. If you run away from the battle, you cannot record anything in your Pokedex. However, if you fight, you will be able to take a picture before sending out your Pokemon. If you choose to fight, you will have the options of using an item, switching Pokemon, or attacking. If you decide to fight, select a move to use on the wild Pokemon. I will then select a move from the wild Pokemon, and the battle will commence. Between each set of attacks, I will grant you the option of switching, using an item, or selecting another move. If you switch or use an item, you cannot attack that turn.

 

At any time during your quest, another trainer that is in your area can challenge you to a Trainer Fight. If you are challenged, you may accept or decline. You will each select ONE Pokemon, and only that Pokemon may be used in the battle. The trainer whose Pokemon remains at the end of the fight will win EXP for his/her Pokemon, as well as some money from their opponent.

All posts will alternate. If an item is used, an attack cannot be declared. If you want your Pokemon to evade a move, you cannot attack.

 

When battling a Gym Leader, they cannot decline. The gym leader may use all of his/her Pokemon, or select only a few with which they will fight. You may use as many Pokemon as you have in your party. The battle system will be the same as a trainer. All posts will alternate. If an item is used, an attack cannot be declared. If you want your Pokemon to evade a move, you cannot attack. If you switch Pokemon, you cannot attack. [/align]

Lani left her house, excited. This was the day she began her quest to beat the Elite 4! It would take a lot of work, but she was prepared. She pocketed her Poke Ball, containing her only Pokemon, a Shinx. Shinx was only LV 5, but it was determined to win, as Lani was.

 

Lani ran down the path of her small house in Waterfront Town, and sprinted as fast as she could to her father's ship that was waiting to take her and her brothers to Canveras Town in the Marroh region. The ship was called Opportunity, and it was her maiden voyage.

 

Lani stared out the window in her cabin, at the vast ocean. There was a lot of ocean in Suiyama, and it all looked the same, but Lani enjoyed the view nevertheless.

After a couple of hours of sailing, Lani hopped off Opportunity and looked around the small town of Canveras. At once she saw a large building looming in the distance.

"That must be the lab," she thought. "Awesome!"

She headed towards the lab, but a thought lingered in her mind. A thought that had plagued her for years. Sometimes this thought was annoying, sometimes it was comforting. But always it was insistent. The TM in her case. The TM that her mother had given her before she died. The TM that Lani had always put off using on Shinx, for fear that she would never come across the TM again. (will insert Electric TM here when TM list is done).

The professor had just heard that a new trainer had gotten off at Canveras. He stepped outside of his lab and felt the cool breeze on his cheek. He stroked his face as he looked out into the distance. At once he winced to see a trainer sprinting towards him. She looked quite determined, but at the same time afraid or confused - the professor couldn't tell. As he laughed in happiness that he had found someone to take his Pokedex, he waved at the trainer for a few minutes before beckoning her into the lab and walking back inside, awaiting her arrival.

Even being only 14, Draco was determined to strike a mark into the history books of Marroh. Heck, that 10 year-old kid beat Giovanni in Kanto. That had to mean he could kick some butt here.

 

He stepped off of the ship, and saw the Professor talking to some girl. He heard the name Lani.

 

As he walked up the hill, he decided he should bring out his Larvitar, Raksayath. He just liked to call him Raksa when they weren't being formal. His little buddy was still pretty small, but someday he'd grow up to be a giant Tyranitar. They'd make their mark, he was sure of that.

The Professor looked off into the distance and saw a kid walking slowly. He beckoned him over to the lab.

As Draco walked over to the lab, he remembered that he had to call his Dad, Volkner, back in Sinnoh.

 

"Hey dad, I made it to Marroh. Yeah, the professor's beckoning me over right now. Alright, I'll be sure to sync my laptop. Thanks, bye."

 

His dad had given him a bit of money, and a laptop for his journey in Marroh. the laptop had the new GlobeSync software, that let him use it in any location. He kept his music, videos, and other things on it. Most importantly, though, was the PokeSync. It allowed him to Sync pokedexes with his dad, so he could see if any new pokemon started showing up in Sinnoh after Team Galactic's waste dump incident. So far, the only one was Bellelia. At least, that's what name they had given to it. A Bellossom and Roselia were both near the spill, and when the smoke cleared, an odd splicing of the two had emerged from the shadows. Volkner had been assigned to the keeping track of appearances of such splices.

 

Draco was excited to see what awaited him.

"Ah hello Draco," shouted Jonas in a cheerful tone. "I've been awaiting your arrival! Here's your brand new Pokedex. When you find a new Pokemon, take a picture and send it to me so I can add it to the Pokedex. When you find ten Pokemon, I'll give you a Great Ball. Here's a hint. Take a picture of your Larvitar and that'll count as 1 picture for the Pokedex. All you need is nine more! Good luck, and check in periodically!" Jonas handed Draco the Pokedex and waved as Draco walked out of the lab.

Draco linked his new Pokedex to his computer, and started downloading data. He had all the information about the currently discovered pokemon, but not their locations in Marroh, nor their pictures. He would have to make due.

 

As he headed, towards the nearest route, Larvitar squealed.

 

"What is it, Raksa?"

 

It pointed towards a girl, the one he had seen talking with the professor.

 

"She looks too young. Sorry bud."

 

Draco pulled out his laptop when it was done syncing, and set up his earpiece so he could listen to some music. He proceeded toward Route 1.

Seth walked out of the ship taking him to the new region, a large ball of gas following close behind. The boy walked with a sort of swagger, and had an MP3 player hooked into his ears. He slowly opened up the door to the Lab.

"Why hello Seth! It's nice to meet you," The professor exclaimed with a cheery disposition. Today had been a good day for Marroh; already a few trainers had visited his lab. He handed Seth a Pokedex and said, "Take this Pokedex, and take as many pictures as you can! Then, send them to me so I can update the collective Dex! Go take a picture of your starter Pokemon too! That'll get you closer to the prize. Go check the missions section to see what you can get for doing different things!"

"Raksayath, attack with Bite!"
