seattleite
Ok, contest is over, here are the results (by card creator) [spoiler=Smesh] Originality: 5/25 It's basically a universal tutor...Playability: 25/25 No problem here... lolBalance: 5/25 Every deck would run this in 3's. Too many combos to even mention.OCG: 5/5 Total: 40/80 [spoiler=Blu] Originality: 17/25 Well it's a direct attacker, which requires other monsters on your field..Playability: 15/25 With only 600 ATK it's quite weak, and I'd rather just use something like Servant of CatabolismBalance: 25/25 perfectly balancedOCG: 5/5 Total: 62/80 [spoiler=Clair] Originality: 22/25 One of the more original cards, it balances the Summoning with Damage. Still the concept is around some cards.Playability: 22/25 It can see use in a few decks, maybe even taking advantage of the damage to you. Balance: 18/25 Not too OP'd, but the summoned monster can be used in Synchro summons easily. I know though, if you put that in there it would have made it 2 sentences.. ;)OCG: 4/5 Shouldn't be a Counter Trap Total: 66/80 [spoiler=encapturer ] Brutal CorrectionCounter TrapWhen your opponent activates a card during the battle phase, you can reveal a card in your hand of the same type (Monster, Magic, or Trap) as your opponent's card in order to negate and destroy your opponent's card. Originality: 25/25 Very nice. It utilizes some creativity in making decks, specifically to counter your opponent's, and it is quite unique for only one sentence.. ;)Playability: 24/25 Obviously very playable.Balance: 18/25 It doesn't make you lose card advantage, which is very powerful considering the wide range of cards it can negate. But Traps are more commonly activated in the battle phase so I suppose it has it's limits. This is really powerful for negating monsters.OCG: 5/5 Total: 72/80 [spoiler=Ser Warjacksworth] Devious MushroomEARTH/ Plant/ Effect1600/1200****You can send 1 Trap Card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the activation of an Effect Monster's effect, and destroy it. Originality: 24/25 Nicely utilizes 2 card types and Trap cards in the hand which is unusualPlayability: 25/25 yeah, yeahBalance: 21/25 It might not use it's effect too much in some decks but with searchers, it's brutal. 1600 ATK is good for destroying them, negating their effect afterward. However, I realize it still requires traps in the hand which are dead.OCG: 5/5 Total: 75/80 Placings:1st: Ser Warjacksworth 75/802nd: encapturer 72/803rd: Clair, 66/804th: Blu, 62/805th: Smesh, 40/80 Comments: Because of the difficult requirement, I thought you all did nicely keeping that in mind. This was to test your variety in card making... I'm sure YCM pressures you to make cards with very long effects, but small effects have a sort of simplistic creativity that long, boss monster-ish effects cannot compare to. Also some of these cards we will consider adding into the LCCG. With that thanks for being in the contest :D __________________________________
