EHN.
This is my first ever fan fic, I would appreciate help as I know I'm not really the best writer, and I'm kinda new to this. PG - 13: Mild language and mild violence It is recommended that you now the storyline of Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's, but it's not really important, just used some terminology you might not understand.
It had been fourteen years since the defeating of the Dark Signers, and the construction of the Daedalus Bridge. My name is John, I'm fourteen years old. I was born on the day that the Daedalus Bridge was finished being built. Mum always said how it was my destiny to cross that bridge. I believed every word of it, for when I was still in my early childhood, I used to go outside on each of my Birthday's and look outside, outside to the bridge, counting the years until I can finally get there, to New Domino City. My parents used to work as slaves in the Satellite, working in the plants, recycling junk from the rich a**holes from New Domino City. Things are different now. The Satellite has been rebuilt, rebuilt back to the old Domino City it always used to be. The part of Domino City I grew up in was called Cusillu, which was now rich and highly populated. The town was named after the 'Earthbound Immortal'. Shortly after the Dark Signers were defeated, the 'Earthbound Immortal Cusillu' card was found by an architect on an old pavement. From the stories that I heard, the man leaned down to pick it up, but before he could touch it, the card floated up into the air, shining brightly, then, after suddenly giving off a blinding light, the card disappeared. A few days later, it was found out that after the bright spark of the card, burn marks were found to form over this part of the satellite, and when looked at from a bird's-eye view, you could briefly see a pattern of a monkey. After the building of the Daedalus Bridge, that part of the Satellite was founded and it was made on the basis of where the burn marks were. The card was never to be seen again, but the tale never stopped being told. Anybody that grew up in this town knew the story. After growing up in Cusillu, it was time to move on. Move onto bigger and better things. Learn more about the wonderful world of dueling, and pick up some tricks along the way. I am now going to New Domino City to stay in an apartment especially made for young duelists. It's not like Duel Academy; there's no lessons or anything. And anyway, I'll mainly be using it for sleeping and eating, but it does have a large basement with a dueling arena, which I have to admit, looks very appealing from the pictures I've seen. Most of the time I'll be outside exploring the city and dueling, but it's good for when I need a break or decide to come inside. I don't need a garage, since I can't Turbo Duel yet; I'm too young, but it makes no difference to my dueling abilities. Besides, it's technically not even moving away; it's just staying with some other duelists. And I'll be seeing my parents every few months, so it won't be that bad. If I have to wait any longer to go, I would just die of being impatient. I may sound desperate, as Cusillu is actually pretty well off now, it wouldn't be much different to New Domino City. But that wasn't the point. The point was that it was my destiny to go to New Domino City. Today I spent the whole morning in my room, packing my bags with mainly clothing but also a few favorite items and souvenirs from trips. As I packed each item that I found precious, I had a memory of when I was using it or where I got it from. This made me begin to realize just how hard it was going to be to go away from my parents and sister to go to another city. I had spent my whole life here in Cusillu, I can't just leave now. But I have to, it's my destiny. But I can't, what about my family? My conscience was fighting in my head. It wouldn't be that bad, besides, I'll be staying with other people, so at least I'll have some company. Mum is really happy for me, she thinks it's a brilliant opportunity. Dad is always on about how some day I would make him proud. And my sister, well, she isn't so happy. Not because of me leaving, but mostly because of the fact that I am leaving and that she isn't. She's only 9, and is really jealous of me, as she keeps on saying how she would do anything to be me right now. Well, I managed to wait for all these years, so I guess she can too! I dragged by bags downstairs to await an emotional family waiting for me downstairs. There was sadness, and crying too. But mainly there was the emotion of happiness, expressed by the smiles on everyone's faces. Or, on two people's faces. Mum handed me a lucky charm, a chain with a locket on it. I opened the locket. It contained a picture of the whole family, when we went to the beach last year. A tear dropped out of my eye and landing on the carpet where I was standing. "I don't believe it!," exclaimed my sister, "John's crying!" "Leave your brother alone, Rosie, he is going through a very emotional time right now" said Dad calmly. "Emotional shmotional, why can't I go?! John's leaving now, and I'm the only one left! It's not fair!" retorted Rosie. "Rosie! Be quiet!" shouted Dad, now less calm. I ignored her and turned back to Mum. I spread my arms out and landed a big warm hug over her shoulders. She kissed me on the cheeks. "I love you, my precious darling," said Mum, trying to hold back her tears, not very successfully. "I love you too Mum," I replied, "more that anything." She smiled at me. I turned over to Dad. He put his hand on my shoulder. "Make me proud, my boy." "I will Dad, you can trust me on that one." I leaned forward and tapped him on the back, which was the closest I could get to a hug. "Use this to help you in your duels," said Dad handing me over a card face down. I flipped it up, and received a massive surprise. "Solemn Judgment! Woo hoo! Thanks Dad, I really appreciate this, it'll definitely be very useful!" I jumped up in the air with excitement. "No problem, my boy. Take good care of it, now. I've had that card since I was a young boy." "I will Dad. I definitely will!" Rosie grumbled something which I didn't hear, but something tells me I didn't want to. I had already received two brilliant gift's, so now all I had to do was survive Rosie's moaning. I turned to her, and bent down so I was at her level. "Bye, sis," I said. "Hummphh. Bye John, just wait until I get there with you!" said Rosie jealously. "Oh, and Mum made me - I mean I wanted to give you this, to help you out," she said sarcastically. She handed me a big watch with a 'Swordsman of Landstar' in the background. The time read ten in the morning. "Thanks, sis, it'll definitely be helpful!" I went over to the door, pulling my suitcase behind me and carrying my rucksack on my back which contained my laptop, a book and some biscuits. The bus that was taking me to New Domino City was standing in front of me. I looked back at Mum and hugged her one last time. "See you in 2 months," I said. "Have a good journey, my darling. We'll all miss you," she sobbed as she kissed me on the forehead. "Um, correction. Some of us will miss you," interrupted Rosie. "I'll miss you too, sis," I replied. I turned to Dad. "Dad," I said standing up straight. "John," replied Dad. We smiled at each other. I turned around and boarded the bus, looking back one last time, waving at my family.

"Ticket," grumbled the bus driver, while smoking a fat cigarette. I produced a tiny piece of paper from my pocket and handed it to him. He looked at me, with a weird expression, right eyebrow up, left down, with his right side of his lip pointed upwards. "Free seating," he said. I looked forward into the bus. It wasn't very full, perhaps about another six or seven people on board. I walked forward and found an empty row. I stopped there, put my rucksack on the seat and slowly, with difficulty, lifted my heavy suitcase into a locker above me. I sat down on the window seat, and strapped my seat belt in. On literally the same second as I heard the click of my seat belt go in, I heard the engines of the Bus start up. I looked outside and waved at Mum. The first part of the journey was boring. I couldn't think of anything to do, since I usually get sick if I read or look at anything while in a car, so I just decided to look across at other people and see what they were doing. I looked across to my right, and saw a man with a suit and glasses flick through a newspaper, calmly. The main title on the front page read: 'Another victim from gang attack found on street, injured'. I couldn't see anymore, but I was just hoping it didn't happen where I was heading. I tried to get rid of the thought, but it still bothered me. What if i get attacked? What if this was a bad idea? These were the kind of thoughts that were traveling around in my head. After about ten minutes, the bus came to a halt outside a small cottage. A boy, who looked about my age, came on the bus with a giant rucksack that looked over packed, and a suitcase that he was dragging along beside him with difficulty. When he showed the bus driver his ticket, he moved in through the bus, and stopped next to me. "This seat taken?" he asked. "No, go ahead," I replied. He tried to lift his suitcase up into the locker, but after watching him struggle, the man with the newspaper slammed his newspaper on the seat next to him and got up to help the boy. He obviously wasn't being kind, just fed up of watching him struggle, which was easily noticed by the big sigh that came from him. The boy sat down next to me, fastened his seat belt and then turned to me. He began to say something, but was interrupted by the bus driver. "Last stop, now driving directly to New Domino City," announced the bus driver. Once again, the bus went of into the distance. "Hey, I'm Jackson," said the boy. "I'm John," replied. "So where are you going to?" he inquired. "Me? Oh, to the Duelist Home," He smiled. "Looks like we'll be seeing each other round then." The rest of the journey was pretty easy going, it took about one and a half hours to get to the bus station in New Domino City. I just spent the time looking outside, and thinking of strategies that I could do with my deck. When we eventually arrived, most of the people on board tried to get out as quickly as possible, but me and Jackson just stayed behind and waited for everyone to go. When we did get out, I turned around to look at the bus driver, who was probably on his tenth cigarette by now. "Thanks," I said. He said nothing, just blew smoke into the air. It was a short walk to the Dueling Home, only perhaps ten minutes. I had a map, so it was easy to get there. When we arrived, we went straight to the reception to check in. "Hello and welcome to the Duelist Home!" said a cheerful receptionist behind the counter. "Please can we have your details," she asked. I took some paperwork from my pocket and handed it to the lady. Jackson did the same, but he kept his in a pouch in his rucksack. "Thank you, you will be staying in room forty-three, just along the hallway in Sector B," she said to me, handing me a plastic swipe card. "And you will be staying in room forty-four, also in Sector B," she said this time to Jackson, handing him an identical one. "We hope you have a great time here, the breakfast and dinner times are just here," she said, pointing to a leaflet pile on the counter. "Please come down to the reception if you need any help around the Dueling Home. Enjoy your stay!" We turned around and made our way through the rest of the reception area, which was mainly the lounge with two TV screens and a souvenir shop. Sector B was very near the reception area, literally right next to it, so it was very useful for when we were going outside to duel or just explore the town. When we reached Sector B, we followed the signs to rooms thirty to fifty, and eventually found our rooms. "Hey, how about we meet each other in the lounge, in, say...half an hour?" asked Jackson. "Yeah, sure," I replied. My room was better than I expected. The bathroom was fairly posh, not a single stain anywhere on the walls. The room had a desk with a lamp and two drawers with brochures and TV guides in them. There was a big TV nailed to the wall, positioned so you could watch it out of bed. I unpacked my suitcase and put all of my clothes a big wardrobe, and the rest of the stuff on the desk or in the drawers. I sat down on my bed and took my laptop out of my rucksack. I sat there for about twenty minutes, researching about New Domino City on the internet. I desperately tried not to click on any links to news articles, as I was still trying not to think about what I saw on that newspaper. After half an hour had passed, I made my way down the hallway to meet Jackson waiting for me on a sofa. "Hey," I said, putting my hand on his shoulder, almost frightening him. "Oh, hi John," he said as he turned his head round. I went over and sat next to him. I turned to him and saw that he was reading a book entitled 'Mastering Gemini Monster's. "So, you run a Gemini deck?" I asked. "Yeah, I call it Gemini Power since the deck focuses on boosting attack," he replied, with a sense of pride. "You? What deck do you have?" "I use Machines, focused on fusion summoning," I answered. "Oh, sounds cool. Hey, how about we have a duel? In the dueling basement?" I felt a jolt of excitement. "Yeah! Sure!" I said quickly. I was excited to have my first duel here. I looked at my watch. It was twelve thirty noon, so I had plenty of time. "Great!" replied Jackson. "Let's go right now!" We followed the sign to the dueling basement and soon found ourselves in front of a staircase. We quickly trampled down and approached a door saying 'Sector E - Duel Arena'. The place was very full, with duels going on all over the place. There were zombies destroying frogs, and warriors being devoured by beasts. Soon enough, we found a spot, and got ready to duel. "Good luck!" i shouted across at Jackson. "You too!" he replied.

(Thanks White Hollow!) "Let's duel!" I said as I drew my first five cards. "I'll start," said Jackson. "Go ahead." "Draw! I summon 'Evocator Chavelier' (1900/900) in attack mode and lay down two face downs. Then, I equip Evocator with the spell card 'Mage Power', so my Evocator gains 1500 atttack! That'll be hard to beat!" he said, enthusiasticaly. I end my turn, your turn, John." His Evocator was summoned with a flame, and as it gained attack from 'Mage Power' it got more fierce looking, and it's flames started sparkling. Jackson was right, 3400 was a high attack for a level 4 monster, but luckily I had a plan. Jackson: Hand : 2 Field : 4 LP 4000 "I draw!, I summon 'Proto-Cyber Dragon' (1100/600). While Proto-Cyber Dragon is on the field, it's name is treated as 'Cyber Dragon'. Then, I activate the 'Power Bond' card that allows me to fuse the 'Cyber Dragon' in my hand with the 'Cyber Dragon' on my field to fusion summon 'Cyber Twin Dragon' (2800/2100) in attack position!" There was a dark cloud and the sound of rumbling machines, and then a blinding bright spark appeared as 'Cyber Twin Dragon' appeared on the field. I got excited, as my plan was slowly coming together. "It's still not strong enough to defeat my Evocator!" boasted Jackson. "That's where you're wrong, Jackson," I replied. "Huh?" "You see, when a monster is summoned by the effect of 'Power Bond', it gains attack equal to it's original attack." "So basically it's attack is-" started Jackson. "Doubled," I interupted. "Yeah." Jackson gritted his teeth. "Now, 'Cyber Twin Dragon' (5600/2100), attack his 'Evocator'! (3400/900)" A dark beam shot out of the mouth of 'Cyber Twin Dragon', heading straight for the defenceless, now feeble looking 'Evocator Chavelier'. "Not so fast! I activate my trap card! 'Negate attack! This allows me to negate your monsters attack and end the Battle Phase." "What?" I retorted, now unsettled, "Crap!" "What's the big deal? It just ends the battle phase, that's all." "No, but, you see, 'Power Bond's effect has a drawback. During the end phase, I take damage equal to it's original attack. So I just wasted that whole move." Jackson smiled. "Oh well, we learn from mistakes," he said. I sighed. "I end my turn with two face downs." I felt a shock as my Life Points were drained. This was bad. I was looking forward to my first duel, and after my first turn, I'm already losing. My plan was ruined, but I still had one more idea. Evacotar's attack was now at 2900 since he has one less spell or trap card after activating 'Negate Attack', so I guess it's still vulnerable to an attack. Especially if I manage to attack twice with 'Cyber Twin Dragon's ability. Let's just hope he doesn't set any more face downs, or even worse, activate more equip cards. John: Hand : 1 Field : 2 Grave: 3LP 1200 Jackson: Hand : 2 Field : 3 Grave: 1 LP 4000 "Don't be so upset, John, there'll be more oppurtunities to win later," said Jackson, now with a massive grin. He drew a card. "I activate the effect of 'Hidden Armory'," he said, "by sending the top card of my deck to the graveyard, I get to add one equip spell to my hand. Because I did this, I can't normal summon or set this turn, but I don't plan on normal summoning." His smile was now almost to big for his face "Now, I activate 'Foolish Burial', sending 'Phoenix Gearfried' from my deck to the Graveyard. Also, I activate the trap card, 'Birthright' which allows me to special summon the 'Phoenix Gearfried' (2800/2200) from my graveyard to my side of the field. Then, I equip my Evocator with the 'Synchro Boost' that I searched for. Thanks to this card, my monster gains 500 more attack. Finally, I'll activate 'United we Stand' and equip it to my Evocator. Since I have 4 spell and trap cards on the field and two monsters on the field, with an extra 500 attack from 'Synchro Boost', my Evocator gains a total 4100 attack in all, making it have 6000 attack!" His Evocator was beginning to get more and more fierce looking with every equip card Jackson gave it. I got what he was trying to do. Trying to power his monster up so that it can defeat my 'Cyber Twin Dragon,' and then attack directly with his 'Phoenix Gearfired' and win the duel. Unfortunately for him, he was too busy focusing on powering up his monster that he forgot about something vitaly important. "Now, Evocator, attack his 'Cyber Twin Dragon'! I'm afraid it's game over, John," said Jackson, with great joy. There was a massive burst of flames and sparks as his Evocator rushed forward at my machine. "I know, Jackson. It's over for you," I replied, smiling. "W-w-w-whaddaya mean?" he replied, worried. "I mean that you forgot about my face down card, Jackson." Suddenly he lost his happiness and had a grim expression on his face. "I activate my face down card, Limiter Removal!" I said. Now it was my turn to have fun. "Thanks to Limiter Removal, the ATK of all my face up machine type monsters is doubled. Jackson staggered back and his mouth dropped open. "So that means my 'Cyber Twin Dragon's attack becomes 11200! And the last time I checked, your Evocator was just about to attack. Oh dear." "Noooo!" shouted Jackson. There was a massive ball of fire as his Evocator burst into tiny flames. His life points dropped to zero, and he fell down onto his knees, with his hands in his face. It looked like he was crying. "How? How could I lose with such a perfected deck? And so quickly! I lost after 5 miutes! I spent ages working on that deck. Well, I guess I can't blame my deck, the only thing I can blame is myself, for understimating my opponent," he sobbed, barely managaing to get the words out through his tearful face. "Hey, Jackson, great duel!" I said, walking over to him. He looked up at me. "Don't be so quick next time, plan your moves instead of rushing into the game." "R-r-really? Well, thanks." "Don't sweat over it, mate, it was only a duel. As you said, there'll be more oppurtunities to win later." "You're right, it's only a game. I shouldn't start blaming myself for losing." He wiped some tears from his face with his free arm. I put out my hand, to help him get up. "Thanks," he said, "mate." We smiled at each other. We made our way back to Sector B. As we went, I felt exstatic about winning my first duel here, but i tried not to express it too much to save Jackson being annoyed. Speaking of Jackson, I think I've just made my first friend here. The time was only quarter to one, since it was a very short duel. I thought about what we should do next, but Jackson beat me to it. "I have an idea. How's about we go down to the city and have lunch?" asked Jackson, now happy. "Great idea, we can explore the place a bit." I answered. I went back to my room to get some money that Mum gave me, and put on a jacket. I met Jackson back at the entrance, waiting for me. As I approached him, I realised that he holding a small electronic device, that displayed a map of New Domino City on it. I went over to him. "So, I was thinking," he said, "how about we go down to the market? Find some nice lunch." "Sounds good." New Domino City is a great place. There were tall buildings all over the place, and shops everywhere. When we arrived at the market that Jackson found, we each bought a hot dog at a hot dog stand, and sat down on a bench to eat them. I must say, even though I'm not exactly a fan of hot dogs, this did taste good. After we were finished, we headed out to explore the city, keeping track of where we were going. When we were walking past an abbandoned dark alleyway that appeared to have a dead end, Jackson said that he heard a voice calling for help, so he went in, and I reluctantly followed him. "This isn't a good idea," I said. "Don't worry, we'll be fine. Trust me." "If you say so," I replied, still uncertain. It turned out that there was someone calling for help, a man sitting on the floor, clutching his leg. "Arrrhhh, help me, please," said the man, sounding like he was in aggonising pain. Jackson seemed to have believed him, but I wasn't so certain. "You'll be OK," said Jackson, bending down to help him, "what happened?" I reconised the man from somewhere, not quite sure where from though. "What happened was...arrrhhh...that you...walked into a trap," he said with an evil smile. He produced a baseball bat from under his other leg and stood up. We staggered back and started to run back, but were stopped by other people holding bats or hard objects. "S***, Jackson, I told you this was a bad idea," I said, now extremely scared. I realised who the man was now. It was the bus driver that drove us to New Domino. "Hey! It's you," shouted Jackson. "Oh, hi guys. We meet again." Surprisingly, he wasn't smomking now. "Hand over your decks and duel disks, or get clobbered," said the bus driver. Jackson willingly took out his deck but I held him back. "No, Jackson, that deck belongs to you," I said. "Oooh, so we have a brave one now, do we?" said the bus driver, who I now gathered was the leader of this gang. Well, that was a lie. I wasn't brave, I was scared to my bones. I was just trying to stall for time and think of a plan. "We'll, give you 5 seconds to do as we ask, if you don't we'll beat your faces in and then take your decks. 5...4..." "Why can't we just beat them up now, Will?" interupted another person. "Because we need to give them a chance, Sean, and you will not lay a finger on them, is that clear?" said the bus driver, Will. "Yes, boss," sighed Sean. "Now, where were we. Oh yes! 3..."carried on Will. "Just give him the decks, John." said Jackson. "No, they belong to us." "2...! Come one boys, let's show these punks that bravery just means getting your a** kicked." "Wait!" I shouted. "Take our decks." I chucked my duel disk with my deck inside on the floor, and told Jackson to do the same. I gave up on the plan. It involved tricking Will and attempting a run, but I gave up. It was better that we didn't get hurt. "Eh? So, you've finally come to your senses huh?" said Will. "Since it took you so long, we'll clobber you anyway!"
The duel is short sorry, the next duel will be longer, I promise.
I can't say I was surprised. I expected something like that. "Sorry, Jackson, this is all my fault," I said. I had got someone as well as me into danger just because I didn't want to give up my cards. What the hell was I thinking? I don't know, but the result doesn't look good. "Don't worry, we'll pull through somehow" I just hope he was right. As they closed in on us, a loud noise came from the big wall behind Will. They all turned around to look, but still made sure that they had eye sight of us. There was no chance of escape. The noise appeared to be nothing, and they carried on coming closer. Suddenly, the noise from behind the wall came again, much louder. The wall collapsed, falling on top of Will and revealing a figure that stood in a shining light, dressed in golden robes, with golden plated armor and a golden helmet. The figure pointed at the gang behind us. "Be gone from here, you wretched beings," it bellowed. "Who the bloody hell are you?" shouted Sean. "The last thing you will ever see, if you do not leave!" He blasted a small white spark from his hand that landed in front of Sean, nearly hitting him. "C-c-c-c'mon guys," he said, dropping his bat. They soon disappeared off into the distance. "Wow, thanks, whoever you are," said Jackson with a sigh of relief, looking up to the tall golden figure. "Mine name is Kuraz. I am the Monarch of the Light Kingdom." "The Light Kingdom?" I asked, puzzled. "It is complicated, all will be revealed later," said Kuraz, "but now, we must travel to the Light Kingdom, where your destiny's shall meet." "Our destiny's shall meet?" I asked. "Very well, as you will not stop asking, I guess I must tell you something as a first," started Kuraz. "When the Dark Signers were defeated, a force was created. A force so strong that it could destroy worlds. It was created by the Crimson Dragon, when the signers and the dark signers dueled. This force was far too dangerous to be left on Earth, so the Six Kingdoms of Monsters stole the Force, and destroyed it. The Six Kingdoms of Monsters are six kingdoms, one for each attribute, light, dark, fire, water, wind and earth. Each kingdom is separate, and each one has a leader. The leaders of the kingdoms are Thestalos, Granmarg, Raiza, Mobius, Caius and me, Kuraz. When the force that was created by the Crimson Dragon was took from Earth, Caius used his special powers to send it to another dimension, where it posed no threat to anyone. When the force was sealed away by Caius, a small proportion leaked out, and fell down onto Earth. As far as we were concerned, it wasn't a problem. The small proportion of that force had to be kept in the nearest object it was near, and right at that time, the closest object was the-" I interrupted him. "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu card." "Yes, yes it was. When the card turned into a bright spark, the force was unleashed into your world. The same power that tore down a native american village bought your city to life, Ener-D was just a lie, created to cover up the truth." I was beginning to understand everything, but one thing still confused me. "But, what does that have to do with my birth, and our destiny's?" I inquired. "All of that you shall find out soon." replied Kuraz. Jackson wasn't really saying much, just staring blankly while me and Kuraz were talking. As I looked at him, I wondered how he would fit into this, what was his destiny? Well, as Kuraz said, I guess I would have to wait and see. "Come, now, we must hurry." He put his hand's over us, and a bright, yellow circle with patterns appeared over us. It slowly started to get brighter until we couldn't see anything, just a bright yellow light all around us. When the light faded, we were in a different place. Well, that was weird. I thought teleporting was always a myth. "Wow, we teleported," said Jackson, looking at his hands and counting his fingers to make sure they were there. "No, we didn't teleport. We moved using the powers of magic," said Kuraz. Jackson looked up at him, amazed. We appeared to have teleported, or should I say 'moved by the powers of magic' to the inside of what appeared to be a palace. It was huge inside. You could see the huge hollow half sphere's where the domes were on top of the building. There were four identical statues in each corner of the room. "Woah," gasped Jackson, looking around. "This is my palace, but there is still more of the Kingdom to see outside. Every light monster lives in this kingdom." I smiled. Perhaps that meant I could meet 'Cyber Twin Dragon' sometime. Jackson also noticed the statues, and asked Kuraz what they were. "Those are the Barrier Statues of the Heavens. They make sure that only light monsters can come in here." "Then, how can we come in here?" I asked. It was hard to see, but I think Kuraz smiled under his helmet. "Well, you two are an exceptions. You are far too important to not be let in." What was that supposed to mean? Far too important? "Now, there is no time to waste. We must hurry," said Kuraz, rushing us along, "there are more things you need to now." Finally, he was going to tell us about the whole 'destiny thing'. We walked along to a golden throne where Kuraz sat down. The throne was on a platform, with stairs that led up to it. In front of the stairs there was a bench, where Kuraz told us to sit down. He had two guard's next to him, and apart from us, no one else in the palace. "Leave us," said Kuraz to the guards. They bowed down and said, "Yes sir!" Kuraz started talking almost immediately after they went. "Both of you, you each have your own destiny, " started Kuraz. I thought I would kill myself if I heard that word one more time. "John, you were born on the day of the finishing of the Daedalus Bridge." Well, if he could destroy walls and use magic, I guess it wasn't surprising that he knew my name. "And, Jackson, you were born on the day od the starting of the Daedalus bridge." So that's how he would fit into this. "It was both of your destiny's to cross the bridge, but it was neither of your destiny's to meet. When you meet, there was a 'clash of destiny', which created a new destiny, a new future." "Then, what's the problem?" asked Jackson, intrigued. "The problem is, when your future's clashed, the force that was kept in the 'Earthbound Immortal Cusillu' card escaped, since it started John's destiny, which didn't turn out right. Caius managed to get the force, but it was too small to keep anywhere so eventually it got loose, and it's somewhere sneaking around in the Six Kingdoms of Monsters, probably causing mayhem." "What does that have to do with us?" I asked. "Everything," said Kuraz, "you two are the only ones that can handle the force. It can do no harm to you, you are practically it's owners." "So, you basically want us to look for it, go around the six kingdoms looking for it?" I inquired. "The quest tomorrow morning." Kuraz stood up and began to leave. "Hang on a sec!" shouted Jackson. "We never agreed to this!" "There is no choice in the matter!" shouted Kuraz, stunning us both. "You two are the only ones capable of saving the six kingdoms. If the six kingdoms get destroyed, how do you think you will have duels? All of the monsters are here, if they get destroyed, you won't be able to play. You'll just have blank squares on your cards! Do you want a world like that?" He was right. "But, how will we get around?" I asked. "How do you think? This is a kingdom of monsters, you can summon your monsters and use them for transportation," said Kuraz. "You must meet me in the same alleyway we met today, in the morning. Pack whatever you think you might need. But now, you must leave." He used his magic powers or whatever to get us back to the same dark alleyway where we left from. There were still chunks of brick everywhere from when the wall collapsed, but Will was gone. Either someone found him, or he managed to get up. We went back to the Duelist Home, and when I looked at the time. It was half past two in the afternoon. I went straight to my room, and invited Jackson so we could talk about our, 'experience'. "This must be a dream," said Jackson. "I mean, the six kingdoms of monsters? What the hell?!" "I agree, it's all a bit weird," I answered, still puzzled. "And this Kuraz guy, he keeps on talking about destiny, I mean I get the whole birth thing, but 'clash of destiny'? Seriously? And how the heck did we get to that palace? Probably Will and his gang beat us up and then drugged us or something." Jackson was beginning to talk crap. I was acting like the older one. "I don't think so, Jackson." "Then what other explanation is there?" "Perhaps we just have to believe in it, and see what happens." "If somebody told you they just got their butts saved by some freaking golden man, who teleported you to a palace and told you you had to save the world of dueling by getting some mystical force, would you believe him?" I began to see some sense in what he was saying. He was partially right; the chances of something like that happening are minimal. But what else were we to do, apart from believe? "We have to go there tomorrow," I said. "The whole thing is crazy," he began, "but I guess I have to come too." "Thanks." He said nothing, just walked off to his room. I didn't sleep well that night. I had a nightmare, that I was in a dark room, on my own. I turned around, and saw Kuraz leaping at me with his hand about to make contact with my face. Then I woke up, with my heart beating at a hundred miles per hour. What could that dream have meant? I mean, every dream has to mean something. Is Kuraz evil? No, the idea was stupid. For the rest of the night I was mostly awake, trying to get to sleep, but in the end I did at around three in the morning. When I got up, I got dressed and went down for breakfast. I saw Jackson on a table, eating some cornflakes with a piece of toast next to him. He had a habit of being everywhere before me, and I was always the last one. It felt strange. I went over to get some eggs on toast and sat down next to him. "Mornin," he said, happier that yesterday. "Hi," I replied, sitting down. "You ready?" he asked, stopping on his cornflakes. "Couldn't be more ready." When I finished my eggs, me and Jackson went up to our rooms to get ready. I took my rucksack and packed my book, some spare clothes and the locket that mum gave me. I went down to meet Jackson waiting for me at the entrance, again. Why was he always first? It was a thought for another time. We made our way past the same place we went yesterday, and as we passed the market, I saw a newspaper on a table. The title read: 'Amnesic man found under collapsed wall, government wonders if it's another gang assault'. I almost laughed at the irony of that. Amnesia? I can't say I'm not happy that we escaped, but it was the fact that Kuraz did it. I thought light means good?. I tried to get rid of the thought, and focus on finding Kuraz. Soon enough, we found Kuraz waiting for us in the same spot.
I'll get chapter 5 up soon, I promise.

White Hollow
the duel is a turned tables one, very good introduction to John's dueling type and deck. I think that you should add a new Monster Type, like ya know Synchros in 5ds something new here ^^
Alexis Rhodes
I thought there was gonna be a 2V2 there. Cant wait for 4.

Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Just started get into fanfics, so don't expect expert analysis. Chapt 1: Hardly grab you by the throat action start, but the scene and the story are set up very well, it's well written. Chapt 2: Much the same as above. Chapt 3: Reflect damage end? Boo! Don't like that. Other than that the duel was fine. Good cliffhanger end, nice touch having the bus driver being the thug. Chapt 4: Well balanced speech from Kuraz, revealing enough to understand what's going on but still enough interesting questions. Hugh props for using the Monarchs as key characters. Overall I think this is a very well written and interesting story, if slightly cliche. But hell it's a fantasy story, they're all a bit like that. Good job dude, more please.
