For some reason, I always name my starter after its ability... it makes it repetitive, but eh.
Well, the Water and Fire at any rate.

On a different note, Nintendo doesn't HAVE to use Grass/Fire/Water. If they had some that started off the same way, they could technically use Psychic/Dark/Fighting.
