Kyo stood at afar, waiting for General Hanza and General Akuanzaku. Kyo could guess what the meeting was about. It was obvious: The Fire Lord would yell a lot, the generals would beg for forgivness, andd maybe some strategic planning was involved. But he knew one thing: he was going to find the avatar. He drew out his silver sword. His sword could run through any little girl's throat. He looked behind him and saw the doors opening. He saw people coming out of the meeting. He ran towards the door, and asked one of them what the meeting was about, trying not to sound curious. The man he asked ten seemed a little suspicious, but he told him anyway. His prediction was right. He then turned around and saw General Hanza and General Akuanzaku. He walked towards them, then bowed. "General Hanza, General Akuanzaku, I'm sure you have heard of me as one of the elite spy's here. It would be an honor to me if I could accompiny you while chasing the avatar".

Hearing the Fire Lord's order, Hanza saluted. "I will not fail you Fire Lord Raizen...." Hanza responded. With a chance to know redeem himself from the humiliating defeat he suffered at the hands of a adolescent, Hanza departed from the throne room and headed towards his company's barracks. Hanza needed to rally the troops that will be accompanying him on his mission to pursue the Avatar. One thing was clear to Hanza, this time, he will be prepared in case of the Avatar State. Making his way out, Hanza noticed a soldier heading towards him and Akuanzaku. Hanza peered at the man with cold eyes before saying anything. "Yes, I've heard of you.... You are assigned to my company...." Hanza said. "You want to take part in the pursuit....? Humph, very well.... You'll shall be recruited...." Hanza said.

"I can't believe the Fire Lord entrusted such an important mission to two kids." Genzai said stopping directly in front of Hanza and Akuanzaku. "But I guess for now I will receeded and follow our Lord's orders. Hopefully, you two won't make yourselfs look like even bigger fools." He made a stiff "about face" and strode off, only to have Shina take his place.

"Don't let what gramps said bother you. He's just mad that he was bested by the avatar brat too." She smirked, "As for me, I like to believe Im an oppertunist. So for now I'll wish you two luck, but should I ever I ever get the chance, the Avatar is mine." Shina winked at the two generals and ran down the halls and out of sight.

"Izaria, you don't know what's going on, do you?" Sun said, unnaturally quiet. "The Fire Lord, your father, is destroying all of the Four Nations. The Water Tribes, the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom- all are suffering at the hands of the Fire Lord. Even the citizens of the Fire Nation are being hurt, with increased taxes for the armies and such, making some of the Fire citizens fall into poverty. We have entered into a dark time, Izaria, and many people are being hurt. Now you, you have the power, the chance, to stop all this, and you won't even try?" Sun asked, a sorrowful look on his face, looking quite unlike the jubilant, happy-go-lucky prankster he usually was.

Hanza noticed Genzai and Shina walking towards him and Akuanzaku and out of respected for the older general, saluted to the two. What Genzai said to him came as a bit of a surprised to Hanza, but he understood why Genzai was angered and so just kept quiet. Hanza wasn't looking to pick a fight or argument with anyone in his current state. All he is focused on is getting his troops ready to go and capture the Avatar. That was his duty, and he's not going to jeopordize any time window he has to capture the Avatar by wasting time arguing over trivial matters.

Hanza also decided to keep quiet at what Shina had to say, but at the end of her statement, Hanza did gave a bit of his opinion. "I believe you won't have that opportunity General Shina.... General Akuanzaku and myself are quite capable of capturing the Avatar before you.... And I do hope that you won't attempt any dirty tricks to get what you want...." Hanza said plainly.

Once Sun started talking, Izaria's head moved with such velocity that one might fear that it would come clean off. This wasn't right! How dare Sun side with Aki-whatever!? He was supposed to be on her side. "Well you know what? It's not my problem!" Izaria yelled and jumping to her feet. "It's not my responsibility to fix everything that my dad messed up! I didn't want to be the stupid avatar, and I didn't want my father to try and kill me! So you know what, I don't care what happens to the other nations!" She finished with her arms crossed and glaring at the ground. True she said that if she got out then she would fight her father, and become the avatar. But I was angry then! And I didn't think I would actually get out. Not only that bu-Wait I don't have to justify my reason to myself! I'm perfectly fine with doing nothing! Right?, her thought ended but she finished out loud, "Right!"

"So that's it, huh?" Sun said bitterly. "What are you going to do then? Run off into the woods and hide? The Fire Nation will find you within weeks. Face it, Izaria, the only thing you can do is fight against your father. And, do you realize what you just said??? You just said that you didn't care if the Nations got destroyed, and if one of them came to you for help, you wouldn't even lift a finger to help them! That's...that's so despicable, Iz!" Sun said, his voice quivering. "A-And I thought you were one of the good guys." And then, without another word, Sun turned around and stomped away, disappearing into the foliage.

"Fine then! Go!" An angry wave of her hand followed. "I don't need you! I don't need anybody!" Izaria stomped her foot and glared in the direction Sun went. Who needs him! Izaria certantly didn't. She would be fine without him.

But the idiot did have a point. Izaria rolled her eyes. So now her sensible self came out. "I'm good at hiding, and all I have to do is keep moving. Just don't stay in one place for too long."

Ok good plan....But if your dad destroies everything there wont be any place to hide. She glared straight ahead. "Oh will you shut up already!? No one asked you!" Izaria groaned as her first two fingers began slowly massaging her temples. "I think I've gone crazy." She looked at the spot Sun left half expecting him to burst out with that stupid idiotic grin on hs face and yell he was only joking. "I just....I just don't know what to do..." Izaria whispered collasping back to the ground. "I'm scared....Is that so hard to realize?" She was mumbling to herself now, tears running down her face. "There isn't anything I can do against my father, even if I do learn how to bend....It's best if I just do nothing....That way I can't mess anything up."

As soon as her sentence finished her eyes glowed blue for a few seconds before fading away. Her body swayed slightly and her eyelids suddenly felt heavier than elephant seals. Izaria fell to her side completely limp.

Sun pressed on through the forest, a roaring noise in his ears. How dare Izaria act like that? Just so...cowardly! Why couldn't Izaria accept the fact she had to fight against her father...her powerful, angry, father...

"Oh my god." Sun said, horrified. "I've made a terrible mistake." I...I was scared too, fighting against the Fire Nation...but I had these strangers, even if they did not know it, to reinforce my resolve! But Izaria...she doesn't have anyone to help her work through her fear! Then, Sun suddenly turned on his heel and raced back towards the cave. He found Izaria, lying on the ground, motionless. "Iz!" Sun cried. "What has happened?"

Ooc: I could've sworn I was the one waiting on a post -_-

"What the..." Izaria mumbled pushing herself up from the ground, groaning with the effort. It was difficult to remember what happened before she feinted the way she did. However, it all suddenly came rushing back to her and anger passed over her face. "Of course! Sun had to get all stupid and side with the Anihaka lady!" She angrly stood up animatedly brushing te dirt from her outfit before snapping her head up and freezing in shock. Now the last thing she remembered was in a forest with green trees and an orange tinted sky.

But now...Now she was in what appeared to be a marsh. The sky was a disturbing brown colors, with the grass, leaves and clouds being odly shaded browns as well. Currently she was on a small island in the middle of a murky watered marsh. Izaria jumped a badgerfrog croaked - quite loudly - almost falling into the water. "Where on earth am I?" She mumbled. "Sun!....Sun! Akihana!" Despite her getting Akihana's name wrong before, which she was doing on purpose, she said it perfectly. "Look whatever it is you are doing it's not funny!"

"Will you shut up! All of your yelling is annoying!" Izaria whirled around to see a white hair monkey meditating on a tree stump. He was wearing, what looked like, monk's clothing. "I sware! First that bald headed nomad and now an annoying teenage girl. It seems anyone can get here now a days." Izaria wanted to yell at the monkey for being so rude but stopped short at what he said. "Bald headed nomad...." Izaria knew it was a stretch but she had to ask,"Are you....By any chance...Speaking of Avatar Aang?"

The meditating monkey opened on eye. He was gazing at Izaria with both indifference and annoyance. "Well who else would I be talking about? Now get out of here! I can't consentrrait with all of your yelling." Izaria puffed out her cheeks in anger, but chose to do as the tempermental money said, slowly ad carefully hopping from one piece of land t the next until she ended on the other side of the marsh. "This must be the spirit world. But if so how do I get out!?" She yelled, hands flying to her hair, and a comical look on her face. Suddenly a blue light appeared and floated around her head for a bit.

"What's this?" Izaria whispered. "Do you want me to follow you?...." The glowing orb circled around her head for a few more seconds before shooting off straight a head. "H-hey! Wait!" She threw her arm out, ad her feet began running after the speedy blue orb of light, completely oblivious to where it wasleadin her.

Ooc: Lol, anyone remember that monkey?

OOC: Hotaru, mind if I throw in a spirit of my own into your little incursion there? Just for a little something to do.

IC:

Akihana had since moved Izaria to be laying on her back, having removed a small piece of cloth that she had carried with her and balling it up into a sort of cushion to place under Izaria's head. As Sun burst into the cave, she turned her eyes up to him, deciding that the answer she needed to give would need a little reinforcing. She moved her right hand to the girl's face and pushed her eyelids back for a moment, a faint blue glow emanating from her eyes. She then removed her hand, allowing the eyelids to close once more.

"It seems that she has entered the Spirit World," she said, an expression of mixed apprehension and relief upon her face, "and I cannot say what she will experience there, only that it is going to be profound."

Meanwhile...

Akuanzaku had now left the throne room, turning his back on the other generals and not even bothering to acknowledge them as they spoke to him. He may have seemed calm on the outside once again, but was in fact still furious. Not at his failure or that of the other two generals, but at the fact that he had been betrayed by his sister. He was going over everything in his mind and was so consumed by his thoughts that he almost walked right over a woman in front of him. He stopped just as he had lifted his foot up and was about to step on her. He looked about to find that he had wound up in one of the many dark alleys within the capital city, this one having become a sort of colony for the homeless. He froze in place as he looked over the alley, bringing his foot down beside is other. The people there had not noticed him yet, and he chose to keep it that way as he turned about and made his way out of the alley. However, he had dropped a small cloth sack that held a few gold pieces in a place that the woman would notice it without being noticed by the others there. He was now making his way back towards the docks, and his flagship.

"The campaign against Omashu will have to wait...though I suspect that the avatar will be going there before too much longer." He said aloud to himself as he was now making his way through the town center that had since been abandoned, "However, for now she is still in the Fire nation, and so that is where I must search."

Ooc: I don't mind, go on a head.

"Can...You...P-please slow down!!" Izaria panted crawling over a large tree root, tumbling uncerimoniously onto the other side. She groaned. "Great not onlydo my legs hurt, but now I have a headach." The blue orb she had been previously following hovered in front of her for a few seconds before blinking into non-exsistance. "W-wait! Don't go!" She helplessly yelled. "I don't know where I'm going!" Unfortunately, she was pleeding with a ball of light, who was bent on leaving her alone.

"Great. Now what do I do?" Izaria stood and looked around. The trees around her were some of the thickest ones she hd ever seen. The roots rose some feet out of the ground, and above her the branches of the trees seemed to connect. Giving the appearance of one giant tree. "It's like a maze of three branches and roots." She sighed not liking her chances of finding her way out. Well....At least there doesn't seem to be any dangerous animals here....For now anyway... With no other choice se decided to press onward.

Kihomi was on gaurd duty aboard a local fire nation ship. Holding her dark black sword at the hilt, there was a bit of a sense of boredom to her expression, her slouched position combined with her inattentive and absent looking eyes to give off a lackadaisical mood. She likely had been stationed at the entrance to the ship for quite some time.

Her, along with all the other low class recruits, were unlikely to meet with the fire lord, of course. They got their news from their commanding officers, however the only assignment they had been given so far was to meet at dock 4 and await further instruction.

So here stood Kihomi, waiting to be of use to someone.

As Izaria continued on through the spirit world, a certain form that looked very similar to one she had seen before was visible not too far ahead. It was the form of a man, standing just over six feet in height, with dark skin and a mass of long silver hair falling down his back. The man wore simple clothing, a plain white cloth shirt and brown cloth pants with a simple pair of sandals upon his otherwise bare feet. Though it would not be very well visible from the back, the man also wore the heavy leather apron of a blacksmith and held a pair of Katanas in his left hand. The resemblance that the man had to the general Akuanzaku Retsuri was not something that could be easily overlooked, even from behind. It was obvious that the man had heard her as he turned about, now revealing himself fully and looking very much like the general, except that his face seemed older and was wrinkled about his lips in a way that smiling repeatedly over one's life would result in. His chin was also covered in a thick beard, the same color as his hair was.

"I never thought that I would have the honor of meeting the Avatar, even in this world." The man said this as he brought himself into a deep bow, rising after he had finished his sentence. "I am not sure why you have been lead towards me, though. I cannot say I have any wisdom to offer you."

Hanza left towards the harbor. He wanted to recruit a certain someone to help with his pursuit of the Avatar. Hanza eyes told it all. He was still furious about the fact that the Avatar escaped, and he was shamefully beaten by her. A mere adolescent was able to make a mockery of the Fire Nation forces. Hanza clenched his fists, but kept his anger silent. Even when feeling an emotion as intense as anger, Hanza kept it to himself. Emotions have a strong affect on people, and so Hanza didn't want his anger to affect his subordinates. Arrving at Dock 4, Hanza walked over to a small fleet of guards.

Hanza stood there, his cold eyes pierced through the guards like a knife through flesh. "Kihomi Tien.... Step out from your post...." the young general spoke calmly.

A blank expression, until out of the corner of her eyes she spotted her commanding officer's approach. She quickly snapped back to her "position of attention". She rendered a salute when he was about three paces away, as is customary.

She stared blankly ahead as he gave his command. She returned her hand back down, then did as she was instructed.

"Sir!" She began. "What is our next course of action?"

Kyo stood with the rest of the "low" recruits. Kihomi was called by General Hanza over to him. He had slipped away from General Hanza when General Shina came. Then, he went back to work, and he was told by his higher ranked officers to come here. So here he stood, watching Genera Hanza and Kihomi. "Looks like General Hanza is bringing both Kihomi and me." he thought. General Hanza's look in his eyes looked frightening, but it didn't scare Kyo one bit. However, the other soldiers looked slightly scared by his glare. He smirked. Now when was he mentioning how much money we would get? He didn't care who he traveled with, he just wanted the money. Although, General Hanza hadn't told him everything, so he knew that there could be something he didn't know...

Izaria stopped her aimless walk when a tall, male figure came into view. From the back he looked slightly familiar, but she couldn't place why. This was her first time in the spirit world, so knowing anyone here was impossible! It wasn't until he turned around did it click in Izaria's head. Before she could stop she yelled, "What the heck are you doing here Akuanzaku!? You shouldn't be abl-" Izaria was cut off by the man who spoke while bowing. Spirit World or not Akuanzaku would die a million deaths before bowing to anyone other than the Fire Lord. That warrented Izaria to take a closer look. Now that she wasn't spazzing out, the old age of this Akuanzaku look-a-like became evident.

"What do you mean 'Led to you?'?" She asked only to sigh aftewards. "Whatever, it doesn't matter. Can you just tell me how to get out of here so I can go home? I mean first I'm put in jail and now all this stupid mystic mumbo jumbo is getting on my nerves! Why won't the universe just gie me a break?" With another sigh she asked, "What's your name anyway?"

"At ease soldier...." Hanza commanded plainly. "Now.... As all of you know.... The Avatar and her rescuers were able to escape the Fire Nation forces today.... Call it what you will, the fact of the matter is today's forces have suffered an embarrassing lost to a teenager who has no experience whatsoever with bending, but yet was able to beat all of us with bending.... How? The Avatar State.... The Avatar State allowed her to tap into the powers of all the Avatars from the past, making her virtually invincible.... Even so, there's always a way around it.... Now, we've been given a mission.... A mission to capture the Avatar and kill all those who stand in our way, thus standing in the way of the Fire Lord himself...." Hanza explained.

"Kihomi Tien and Kyo Fireblaze.... You two will personally be accompanying me on this mission.... Besides you two, I will also have a small elite force of six soldiers.... You two will act as my second-in-command, meaning you'll be in command of the six elite soldiers as well, but all of you will report to me.... We cannot fail this mission.... Is that understandable....?" Hanza asked. "We will be pursuing the Avatar on an air ship, while General Akuanzaku and his men will be pursuing the Avatar by water.... Now, I want all of you to go pack your needed supplies and meet up with me back here in an hour.... Is that understandable....?" Hanza asked the soldiers.

The tall figure's face lit up as he realized that she had mentioned Akuanzaku, however before he could ask her anything he was bombarded with questions and that caused him to chuckle, a wide smile coming to his face at the same time. He calmly slipped the Katanas within their scabbards into the space between his body and the heavy leather belt that wrapped around his waist.

"To answer your questions in order, It is obvious that you were following a spirit to reach this area because otherwise you would simply be wandering aimlessly in the swamp. I can and will tell you how to get home, but that needs to wait for now. You are the Avatar, the one meant to set things right and restore the balance and must therefore endure great hardship in such a time of strife. Now, as far as who I am; my name is Kiokama Retsuri, I am Akuanzaku's father."

"It's nice to meet you Kiokama-san. Now I know why I mistook you for Akuanzaku. My name is Izaria Blaze, and you already know I'm the Avatar." Izaria sighed, "But I'd rather you not remind me of my supposed 'duty' to the world. Parden me for saying but I just can't see how ONE person could change the fate or the entire world. Especially up againt my father." She sat down on a particularly large three root, "And now they expect me to pull a miracle out of thin air simpy because I'm the Avatar, and I don't see happeing any time soon."

"I know your daughter as well...Akihana." Izaria added after a while. "She helped me escape from my dad about an hour ago, but I yelled at her and said I couldn't trust her because of who her brother was. Even after she offered to teach me firebening. I even yelled at my best friend when he said had to save the world. I told him that I didn't want to, and that it wa the universe's fault for picking me." She said switching back to the Avatar topic. "What to they really expect one teenager, with no bending experience to do?"

"Yes sir!" most of the soldiers said, including Kyo. Then he , along with the other soldiers, were dismissed. He looked at General Hanza, then walked back towards the barracks. Kyo drew out his silver sword when General Hanza was out of sight. He looked at the other soldiers and they looked at him and his sharp blade. They automatically knew not to cross him if they was working under him. He didn't want to be taken advantage of. Plus, they knew how mysterious he could be, so crossing him would probably be a bad idea. He smirked, then put his sword away. Then, the platoon reached the barracks, and Kyo opened the door, and ran to his room.

He ran inside and closed the door. He looked around the room. There was a bed, a closet, and a box. He opened the box. Inside were some weapons. He drew out a bronze dagger. This was his dagger that he used when he was a fugitive, just in case. Then, Kyo looked at a steel lance and a longsword. His parents used those weapons. After there death, he visited the cave where they died and found there weapons. He hadn't seen there corpses anywhere though. He then had a sudden thought: "Am I doing the right thing? Is hunting fugitives right, and am I disrespecting my parents?".

(Dude. Way too many ellipses? >_>)

At the command of at ease, her feet were shoulder length apart, her hands behind her back. Her sword was still upon her hands. She listened intently to the words General Hanza spoke. She didn't show it by her expression or positioning, but she was thrilled to be on the team personally responsible for taking down the Avatar.

It was the Avatar's fault her father was killed. An eye for an eye, or so they say.

She returned to attention at the close of his words. "Understood."

Already ready, the only personal mementos needed were her sword, she hurried over to the barracks and retrieved some food, then went to wherever the airship was, probably about half an hour early.

Kiokama let out a long sigh, the smile remaining on his face as he moved to gently rest a hand on the young girl's shoulder, a look of realization coming to his face as he continued to look the Avatar in the eyes. The expression on his face was akin to one that a father would give his daughter if he were about to console her, or even get her back on the right path in life.

"Well, now I know why you were lead to me," He said as he removed his hand from the girl's shoulder, before sitting down on a nearby root from one of the many immense trees, "It seems that I am the one to make you understand. I do not know what this has to do with our current situation, but in life I came to know Avatar Quan as a friend through my many trips to the Earth Kingdom to meet with the suppliers of some of my more exotic metals. He shared a secret with me once when he came to visit the our home, the fire nation. He was seventy at the time, I was around thirty, and my children were about...oh...twelve. Anyways, he shared with me that he believed every single person in the world to have a destiny, some great and some small. You, as the new Avatar are destined to restore the balance of this world. That is why people believe that you can perform miracles, because you are destined to. Regardless of your lack of bending experience, you must learn to control each of the elements, Fire, Earth, Water, and Air, in order to fulfill your destiny."

Izaria looked from the hand to her shoulder, to Kiokama, back to the hand, an finally resting on Kiokama's smile confusion clearly on her face. It was apparet he was a father because that was a familar look on his face. Although, not because she'd seen her father that way, but Sun's father. There hadn't been a time in her life when her father really spoke to her unless it was about her one day ruling over the fire nation and contnuing his legacy.

As he spoke, he told her a bit of when he was alive. That he knew Avatar Quan, her supposed past life, and that they were great friends. Then the story went in the direction Izaria was expecting. Her being the Avatar. She only sighed. "I just...It's not fair. I don't want to..." Izaria ended weakly, dropping her head. After a few seconds of silence she said, "Ok, lets say I actually learn all of the elements in the order im supposed too, and I go to fight the Fire Lord. I don't think I could kill him....Despite what he's doing and tried to do to me....He is still my father." She sighed again, something she seemed to be doing a lot of lately, both tired and slightly annoyed.

"It would be a lot easier if I had some help with the whole avatar thing. Or if it came with a "How-to" book."
